Hi all, I have some questions xD
is the dust under screen covered by warranty?
does the amount of the dust have to be significant ( mine just 1 particle ;_; almost in the center..)?
I have to remove root etc before (eventually) send the device?
thanks in advance for the answers

Great first post coming up. Had my Desire Z a couple of weeks. Read lots on here, got it rooted and Virtuous installed. Happy with the phone.
Out this evening, phone in back pocket, wouldn't want to scratch the case or screen with car keys in front pocket. Sat down on a chair. Retrieve phone to see a crack on the LCD. Doh.
The LCD is now black with a small crack. No picture at all although the backlight does seem to work. No visible damage to digitizer and am able to answer calls by sliding up or down in about the right place. As such can I assume I just need to replace the LCD?
Anyone recommend a repair centre in the UK and / or source for an original HTC screen? Plenty on the bay but you can never be sure.
Also would assume HTC will laugh if I try and warranty it.
Hi today i just cracked my 2 days old n7100, the crack wasn't bad but it's definitely visible.
I'm not planning to send it to a shop to repair the screen cuz it's just too expensive.
I want to replace the screen by myself. So i just wanna ask you guys, is it possible to just replace the glass screen and not the whole thing?
Because the screen and digitizer is working fine. Just some visible hairline crack on the device itself.
So, can i just disassemble and replace the glass screen ?
Thanks guys!
You can replace glass only . its a bit annoying job but it possible... Patience ... And only patience. Here is video for s3 glass replacement . Note2 the same way. Glass you can buy from eBay for 20-30$.

You will be better off replacing the whole glass digitizer and lcd as its more difficult to replace just the glass also base on my experience with replacing the glass, it may pop up after sometime as with my HTC phone. Watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxgZeb5QytM and this https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=qhd5KwgopZo&NR=1 Good luck
N7100 screen replacement! PLEASE HELP
i think i'd rather buy the whole lcd + digitizer from what i know it's easier to replace since i don't have to seperate the digitizer with the adhesive
N7100 screen replacement! PLEASE HELP
Thanks alot ndmuni
Hey guys, so rather then explain this all in detail, ill try my best to explain this in shorter words.
My metal frame going around the phone is cracked and I also have a crack on the screen. I can change the glass no problem, but here is the stipulation.
All the times I have seen the screen being seperated from the frame itself (not the glass), the digitizer has been mangled off in pieces. Along with that, I have a white GS3, but if I was going to exchange the middle plate and glass, I wanted to make it black. So here is my questions that are most likely simple but I wanted to ask.
- Can you separate the screen/ digitizer withOUT damaging the digitizer? The screen/digitizer is still perfect and would like to reuse it in another housing.
- For what im trying to do, would this work?
Code:
www . sw-box . com/Middle-Frame-Bezel-Middle-Plate-And-Back-Cover-For-Samsung-Galaxy-S3-i9300-Black.html
(im not trying to spam or advertise, sorry about this code/link)
My end goal is to use my current screen in a new housing to make my white GS3 a Black GS3 using the materials in the link.
Any point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!

Thanks, I'll try it!
Some folks on here have also used toothpaste (which is a mild abrasive) with success on various devices. Using an abrasive is a bit scary for me, as it has the potential to do more harm than good.
Do the scratches actually show up in photos? If not, I'd leave it alone until they do.
I got it replaced under warranty... Obviously it is a low quality lens they have used... Htc changed it for me within 6 hours, and i put up a cutting from screen protector on it....
I think its just a film that is on the lens that is easily scratched! I fixed mine by using this method http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/26piln/psa_if_your_htc_one_m8_has_a_scratched_camera/
I'm very careful with my devices and was absolutely gutted to see the lens covered in scratches but now it's back to being perfect again!

Hey there.. So you got your cover replaced under warranty. Does yours act the same after the replacement ? Mine picked up scratches again. However they aren't noticeable that much, until you clean it with a glass cleaner and put it under an led light, here I used the usb pc led.
Last question. Did they damage a part of the body, somewhere near the top and/or bottom speaker grills, to open the device ? Mine was damaged a bit.. But that hardly matters. The stupid screen has got two big scratches after the repair.
Can you please confirm the same whether your device was treated in a similar way ? Thanks in advance :good:

Welll, my device was returned to me the same day, in a couple of hours... They replaced the camera lens... And no scratches or marks are there at all...
For my wife's M8, the stock Silicon cover caused some scratches and discolouration.... They replaced it too... Now all good... No any issue...
