[Q] Gameloft games not showing up on my account - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i flashed the Midnight BYOR no jounrnaling rom. Got rid of all the sprint bloatware. Went to gameloft's site on my phone, but it claims I've never bought any games on my phone. I've taken advantage of the sales sprint/gameloft have had lately and purchased a number of games using my Sprint account. I tried putting sprint zone back on my phone and going to gameloft throught the sprint zone link, but still no go. I've currently got an email going with gameloft, but there last question was what firmware I had running. I claimed I have stock 2.2.1. Obviously that's not true.....So.....anyone else run into this issue? I love this Rom and don't want to have to go to a different one just to get my games back....

I am having the exact same problem that you are having.

If customer support cant help you might have to flash back to stock. Download the app. Root then back it up? Not sure just throwing ideas out.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well p3dr0maz. I was just hoping that someone had run into this problem and found an easier way to deal with it. If not, I'll get off my lazy a$$ and start over.......

I just saved the .apk files that I downloaded. Installed them from that and they worked but they never show back up on my account.

Thats what worked for me

Titanium backup is what I use. Works great.

How to return EVO to Sprint store?

I'm one of the idiots who decided to flash the 2.2 pre-release before even looking for a rooted version. I'm a dumbass, I know. Being new to the whole ROM thing, I figured I would just revert my last nandroid when I was down playing with it not realizing thinking that without root it's impossible. I want to return my phone to store where I got it from a week ago. Is their a credible reason that I can get them to exchange it for? Thanks!

Tell them it keeps turning off. Tell them you have had multiple drop calls and that it freezes.

+1, they're gonna get a good refurb out of it anyways
Sounds like a plan, thanks. Now I just have to explain how I am running FroYo. (It updated itself?)

Are they actually going to check that? *shrugs* Think of a backup just in case perhaps, but idk.
You can always just tell them that you downloaded it from HTC's website. There's nothing illicit about that.

Sprint sent out the update to some ppl Fri which is how the development teams here got it some how... so just say you checked for updates and it downloaded.. plus your phone is not rooted so you will be ok.

Thank y'all for your tips!
I took it back to where I bought it today and explained to them that "I got this update the other day and ever since I have been having random issues with calls dropping out and haven't been able to maintain a stable 4g connection." The guy, who had sold the phone to me initially, took it to the back for five minutes and then came up and said he couldn't find anything wrong and that I would just have to "live with it" until the next update is released. I tried the whole I'm switching carriers threat but that did not work. He actually suggested I do that if I wasn't satisfied! Now, I understand that he was trying to do his job and reduce churn (I worked for another Sprint store and that was how we were trained), but to suggest leaving is just plain ridiculous (we would get fired for that)!
Having already been shot down and knowing the answer was still probably going to be no, I went to another store ~20 miles away. The guy there told me the same thing about not being able to return it if they couldn't find anything wrong. To my surprise, however, he said that with the last update they had a lot of returns and for that reason he would take it back.
I am now sitting here staring at a brand-new 2.1/1.47 EVO! I am getting ready to root and see if I can restore my last nandroid. Having learned my lesson, I think I will wait until someone comes out with a new rooted version of the final OTA.

[Q] Insane Amounts Of Reboots (LONG post)

Ok this is a new problem for my phone. A couple weeks ago my phone started rebooting like crazy on CM7. I thought maybe it was the kernel so i switched it, that didnt work so i did a full wipe and installed the newest Nightly. That didnt work so i thought maybe it was Gingerbread (even though it ran it fine since it got cooked for the Inc) So i switched to an 2.2 AOSP ROM, that didnt work, so i switched to a Sense ROM. I have tried CM7, Skyraider, Magnolia, Business Sense Z, and now i am on Warm Z 2.2 and i am getting, no exageration, 15-20 reboots a day. No matter what ROM/Kernel combo i try. I also have the Battery Indicator widget in my notification bar that you can open and see what the battery temp is and i have never seen it hot. I can feel it rebooting in my pocket all the time. Phone calls make it reboot, music, navigation, all kinds of stuff. Sorry for being long winded, i just want to describe it the best i can. Does anyone know anything i can to to make it stop? Whenever i flash a new ROM i never restore Apps+Data, i only restore the APK's.
I called about a warranty replacement with the main reason being a blown external speaker, and they said they would do it. But here is why i havent. Somewhere along the lines VZW messed up something in my account and My Verizon online is telling me i am eligible for an upgrade even though im not. I called about it and she said i couldnt use my last NE2 untill Feb of 2012, then she checked the My Verizon and seen the same thing. She told me as long as i upgrade online or on my phone it will let me upgrade, but if i call in or go to the store it wont let me. Well i want the Thunderbolt with my upgrade, but i am afraid if i do a warranty swap it may affect my status on My Verizon somehow and not let me get that upgrade. I plan on selling the Inc after i get the Tbolt, but i dont want to sell it rebooting like crazy like this. Any input is appreciated.
I did the same with my HTC TP1 a week before i got my TP2 with the upgrade from VZW. I didn't have any problems.
Check setCPU or any app that would majorly change stuff on your phone. Such as ones that auto kill things. Turn all those off if you have any running.
You may just have bad hardware, in that case would suggest you going back to stock and advertising as such when you're selling.
Yeah i may end up taking a chance and doing a warranty claim.
I'am using CPU boost. You think that is causing it? It just started happening but i have been using the app for a while.

Well I uninstalled CPU boost and that didn't help. Anything else to try?

I've had this happen Verizon will replace it with a refurb. or at least they did for me...
Run the rru?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. i think I'm going to take the chance on unrooting and getting a refurb for it. Hopefully it won't fix whatever error is in the my verizon system and take my upgrade away.

[Q] Second Dinc 2, Second Root Attempt

So last night I attempted to root my first Dinc 2. I followed the tutorial exactly using revolutionary to S-Off and the SU zip to root. Everything went smooth except I lost 3G signal. I then flashed several roms (CM7, virtuous, MIUI) and they all worked fine except still no 3g. I then tried a list of about 8 different radios incuding the newest 1.09.01.0622, still nothing.
At that point I decided to call verizon. They then informed me that my MEID was put on the lost/stolen list (crazy i kno), and that they could not help to activate it. They suggested I call amazon to get a new phone, which I did and it will be here tomorrow.
Naturally I still want to root but this issue is extremely frustrating and I want to make sure it doesnt happen a second time. So... does anyone have any suggestions for avoiding radio problems during the root?
Any help is appreciated... thanks!
Flashing a rom or rooting will not put your meid in the lost/stolen list. You confusing your radio issue with this. If your meid is on that list u cant ever get it activated ever.... No matter what. So basically u got bad phone from them. This is not a radio issue

I agree with you, 100%. The funny thing is that when i first got the phone yesterday morning I activated it and had 3g up and running just fine. It wasn't until I rooted and started flashing roms/radios that the 3g disappeared and I eventually had to call verizon.
I'm guessing the bad meid was a result of changing the radio so many times. So my primary concern is losing the 3G radio again when I go to root the new phone.

If I'm not mistaken someone has to report a phone lost or stolen in order for the MEID to be blocked by verizon. However it could have been someone doing just this and fat fingered the number.
Changing radio's multiple times or doing anything with root will not cause your meid to be blocked. Sounds like it was a mistake on the part of Verizon, in which case they owe you a phone right then and there.
Luckily Amazon is a great company and they made it right for you.
True, amazons support is amazing. I agree it must've been an error on verizons part but I also was thinking that I mightve rooted to quickly. I literally activated the phone and rooted like 2 mins later and my old phones service hadn't switched off yet. Idk, either way I'm waiting a day or 2 on the next one.
Rooting is like installing another version of windows on your pc. Its irrelivent from what verizon does. It just runs the phones hardware. I rooted all my phones like 10 mins afer i got em. Verizon cant see you have root remotly atm.. and they really dont care unless your sucking bandwidth with free pc tether. So rest assured u can root asap ur new phone.

Good call man I just rooted phone #2 and everything's working great. Off to grab some roms. Thanks guys.
**** spoke too soon maybe? getting superuser force close when I try to flash clockwork recovery in rom manager. Tried to reset the phone, and reinstall rom manager but its still SU still isnt granting permissions. any ideas?
EDIT - NVM got permissions working just reinstalled SU
How in Gods name did you just get a dinc2 that didn't have 2.3.3? Just got mine today from VZ and the OTA got pushed to my phone before I even got of the store. Now I'm stock without Root. meh.

Guys I would just purchase an XTC clip. I'm sure raskal is going to continue supporting new devices even though HTC is going to unlock them eventually. The thing with that though is that they do it wayyy too late, and you have to submit a bunch of info an void warranties. no thanks that's like christmas morning theres a bunch of presents under the tree but you can't open them until new years, maybe february.
All of the dinc 2's shipped by amazon right now have 2.2

Google Wallet issue...(not unsecure element)

I recently decided to unlock/root my LTE GN. I went through and used the adb backup method to backup all my apps and relevant data (use mybackup pro for SMS/MMS and such). I then unlocked and rooted my device. Everything went well, including restoring everything. Everything is actually working quite well and I have had 0 problems....except Google Wallet. I had Google Wallet working just fine when I was locked/not-rooted, even used it at McDonald's and CVS. Well, last night I decided I wanted a soda and the wife wanted a coffee, so we stopped, I opened up Google Wallet ahead of time and used my PIN code to unlock it. After hearing the total, I then did what I was supposed to do, put my phone up to the panel, and it started doing what it was supposed to do. It even said 'Sent', but then something came up to the effect that "If the transaction didn't go through, try again". I can't remember the exact wording, but it was something similar to that. Basically, I didn't get the unsecure element issue, or anything like that. It seemed like the transaction went through, but even the cashier said nothing went through. Either way, anyone else encounter this issue?
i had the same issue. try this: reset gw from within the app, then uninstall it. reinstall the apk again and add back your card. worked for me.
I wouldn't restore any backup of google wallet. Let google sync services take care of backing up that app. Restoring data might have been the cause of it.

I didn't want to take the risk of another embracing moment so I did an extra step and it is back in business (tested)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21763174&postcount=1414
I got it to work, I just tested it at the gas station.
This is what I did:
1- reset Google wallet withing the app
2- unistall google wallet
3- remove the applets:
Code:
adb shell
am broadcast -a android.intent.action.MASTER_CLEAR_NOTIFICATION
4- reboot phone
5- install google wallet
Good luck.

Work every time for me
Sorry to necro, but I was going to make my own thread and this one popped up and was my exact issue.
A little background info: I bought my Gnex last week after wanting one for a while, and having borked up my Razr (which sucks for customization anyway!). I rooted it in my car with my netbook and the Gnex Tool as soon as I got it.
I promptly put $20 into Google Wallet soon after, making the total balance $30 since I got the free $10 with it, which turned out to be a big mistake since I'm broke and can't access the damn money on it! I get the exact same error the guy in the OP got, which is SO frustrating!
At first I thought that it was just the crappy gas station in my crappy little town not working correctly, until I went to a bigger crappy town and it didn't work there either! (both gas stations of different brands) Hopefully I can get the trick mentioned in this thread to work since it's going to be a rough couple of weeks until I get more money if it doesn't!
I've read the Google Wallet thread on here, and there's conflicting reports about rooted phones running it. I wish that there was something like Safestrap for Razr for the Gnex so I could just flip back and forth from my rooted rom to stock to use Google Wallet and not have to deal with these issues!

Yeah I've been wondering if any other Verizon users have even gotten successful transactions. I'm on the stock rooted 4.0.4 leak with the official version of Google Wallet from the market. I've gone to Rite Aid a couple of times and have had the same result. The second time the clerk said that it was about to go through, but we never got past that point.
Anyone else?
mine have always been successful except when the gas station didnt have it setup properly. and yes i have the verizon version and have been on several roms.
I haven't had but one problem with gw and it was weird because I did what was supposed to be done and nothing happened pulled my card out paid was about to be out the door when all the sudden it popped up asking for my pin of course I already paid so I just exit out but that happened one time and has worked ever since even last night with no issues and I have gone through tons of wipes and ROM changes only thing I do is reset google wallet before a flash and don't set it back up until after the new ROM flash.. I do have the unsupported device message but regardless it still works every time. As long as the places pay pass is working.

its the nfc station ladys and gents. please go to places such as CVS, Duane Reade, PetCo or other places and do it at a cashier station. or if you are too shy to look like a fool, go to a self checkout and test it FIRST by running it across the reader, if it picks up and asks for the pin then you are good to go

[Q] Anyone else getting random resets on thier S3?

Been getting these ever since the phone was new...a lot like the E4GT did when the 4G was turned on running custom ROMs? It does this just enough to be anoying, not enough to take it in and complain...yet!
I'm rooted and stock ROM, but it did it on blazer ROM too. Also did it completely stock - no root! Back then with the shortages of phones I thought I'd wait to do something and hope maybe a software update might come in to save the day? lol
I guess it does it about once/day on average. Anyone else getting this?
Never happened to me thankfully in about 2 months of owning the phone.
This happened to mine as well... I guess its a TWiz glitch because it has not happened since I switched to CM10. Try an AOSP ROM and see if it helps. I used to get daily reboots just like you.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I have had this phone for about 2 months now, runned a couple of custom roms, and I've never seen that.
ok, I guess I'll take it in to sprint store and see what they say...If they're feeling generous maybe they'll just replace it?
Well, I spent some time with a Sprint Technician last week trying to fix this "reseting" problem. The gal told me she'd call on Saturday to see if the phone had reset at all ...in other words to see if what she had done fixed my problem? Well she never called me back!!! So I phoned Sprint on Monday and told them it had reset twice on me in the time period
So, the gal I talked with created an "E-Ticket"? Then told me to take the phone to my local store and let them determine what to do next...My question is this:
I'm rooted and running stock right now (LI3) Both Modem and ROM.
Should I do a restore to stock before I go in?
Will they be able to tell that I was rooted?
Will they care?
Or should I just take the phone in like it is and be above board with them the whole way?
They prolly won't believe me when I tell them the phone did this when it was bran new un-rooted
Anyone?
This is probably not the response for which you are looking, but I have zero problems of any kind. I have been running the LIG leak since the day that it became available. I wish that I had some insight for you or could be of help.
