[Q] signal problem during call - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi every body!firstly i m a new android user,and i m french so i ve got a bad english and a little experience with the dhd
Since i use this phone i ve somme problemes during the calls when i m at home...i realised last week that the signal is up and down when i change the place of my end on the phone...
i mean whwn i hold the phone with one finger on each phone side it s ok but when i take it with my hand the signal change...
it s like iphone 4 probleme
is somebody see this to?
my bad english and the price of my phone ticket!!!
i send the phone to htc and they said they did a software update,but today when i received the phone,no software update and no changes for the signal
is it like ihone 4?

Returned MDA Pro for Repairs

Hi,
Today I returned to the T-mobile shop. I deliverd my dutch MDA Pro for Repairs.
I have the following complains:
- Battery dies at 54%. Very anoying.
- Calls are not clear, sometimes I cant understand anything someone say. I have a bad reception.
- Device is slow. You all know it.
Befor I returned my device, I took out my SIMcard, Memorycard and Stylus. I flash the latest dutch t-mobile rom (1.30.233) to my device and gave it a hard-reset.
The woman at the story told me I should receive a call in 10 workingdays to pick up my device. I'll let you know how it turns out.

IMHO Your Uni is ok. Battery issue was described many times over the forum and its connected to wornout battery. (In Your case Youll should get new battery after a repair so its good point)
Bad reception is propably because old radio rom - have You tried to upgrade it?
Slowness is a personal matter - mine is sometimes slow also but it depends on soo many elements thats its hard to define what precisely is slow.
Anyway how will You survive whitout Your Uni - its a question ;-)

I know I can't. I just hope nothing goes wrong with my device, at least before any of the clamshell PDAs start to roll out. I would hate to buy another Universal, just to see a new version the next month.
BTW wats ur result after the upgrade did it solved ne of the problem .

I did a funny think. I choose elgiganten [email protected] It didnt work until the release on 2 april. And then it was all about being able to go a distance. They had it in uppsala so i went stockholm to uppsala and got mine. Unfortunatly i got a used one that someone else had opened so i returned it and got a new one just 20 minutes later :=). So now im almost happy. Just one thing, i dont understand, i cant se 1.26 anywhere on my phone. Only 1.20. sumthing on the software version.

To bad you feel that way. I'm perfactly happy with my phone. It's just plain awsomeness!
And I'm the picky kind of guy but I too had problems with my first device which I turned in and got replaced. But my new one? Just sweet!
On topic I do not think the mailservice work during earster no :/

I got my replaced but its the same problem with the new one aswell. Will take contact with HTC after the easter! Will use my SGS I9000 so long till it's been solved That phone is a phone you can trust on in any weather
Seriosly why do I se software version as 1.20... Anyone else in Sweden have this?.. I just saw a screenshot that showed 1.26.. and that is standard.and I don't se any uppdates avalible for my phone.
Also does everyone get a android is upgrading on restart. It says optimizing application x of y... Like it goes through all my apps n optimezes them everytime I restart my phone..

I went back to elgiganten. Apparently i had gotten a review version. Just changed it. I just showed them that if i tick the usb debugging mode it crasches so i got a doa. They where like no we have to send it to service but i showed him that i have only had it for so few days and i cant work with a phone that hangs all the time. So he changed it. No probs :=)

Just so you know, HTC is a garbage company that creates good looking phones but which appear durable only on the outside.
I had an One S and after 2 months of usage The touchscreen "gave birth" of a dead spot right in the middle. It was a 1cm thick vertical line. So the phone became useless.I spend a ton of money on an "original" display+glass+digitizer (an assembly) cause I didn't choose a warranty when I bought the device, cause it was cheaper that way. after 1 month and a half month, a dead spot appeared on the new screen. This time it was a horizontal line that gave me a hard time again. I donnated the phone to some guy. I decided to buy a new HTC, but this time a ONE X. After 4 months another dead spot appeared on the touchscreen and again that area was unresponsive. I decided not to send it into warranty cause it was already enough and it's not worth it, so I sold it at a considerably lower price because of that problem. The Ironic thing is that I always tooks so much care of both devices and it still broke. If you keep using HTC, you'll only shorten your life.
I'm now a bit short on money and I'm using a pathetic Galaxy Ace 2. If you wanted right now to exchange a brand new ONE X with my Ace 2, I wouldn't make the exchange and I'd stick with the phone I have right now. Or I'd make the exchange only to sell the HTC, cause it's more expensive than the Ace 2 and after that I'd buy a Nexus 4 or a Galaxy S3, with the money I'd get from the HTC. That's how bad I hate HTC. What seems to be awesome, it's actually something that breaks with the slightest touch. Samsung, which everytime comes with the same hideous design every year, is 10 times more durable than an HTC, and also is a lot easier to root and downgrade if something goes wrong during some process.
So, my personal opinion, try to choose anything else but HTC. Otherwise you're gonna experience all sorts of problems with it even if you decide to replace the screen. When you fix a problem, another one will come out and make you be stressed. IT'S NOT WORTH IT, believe me.
Every one has there personal views of the devices they use.. I've had my One X from since it came out and it has never given me trouble.. I've never came across with the issues you are claiming.. neither my friends that use them. I have to upgrade to a new phone eventually but not because of the phone dying, but because it's just natural to upgrade to a newer better phone. I've used sammies before but have never ever come close to my comparison with the One X. I love HTC products and that remains no matter what..to the OP, your problem seems can be solved with a new screen..
How is that practical advice...uncalled for. Try a reverting phone to stock, if that doesn't help then it is a hardware fault and start looking into repair.

Hello the greates people in the world ( community ) , i am wondering if any1 can give me this peace of information or if it exitsts or whatever
i need to contact htc international any country except in the middle east using english language because customer support here in egypt through warranty service shop or gurantee whatever it is calles sucks a lot and support through phone number they give me in guide apk in my phone the people whore responds are also arabs , i dont mean insult or anything , but they are like sheep and i have more knowledge than them about the phone , so if kindly any1 can give me a way to contact htc anywhere away frm middle east , through mail cuz my english is good not perfect nor bad , but my pronunciation / speaking is vert bad m i would be very very grateful ,

1- from the first day i bought the phone m8 dual sim dugl it has been so so laggy and slow slow even more than my one x
after 1 weak i unloadked the bootloader but i learnt that there is no custom roms support yet for my version so i stopped at that and didnt install custom recovery so i can recieve ota's , my phone freezez alot alot and i mean alot , if i am listening to music and iopem gallery it can take up to 1 mins , and playstore crases 4 out of 10 times , trying to take a photo takes foreever , anyway u get the idea ? . i downloaded clean master , tried using every option in it , hard reseted myphone twice once b4 unlocking the bootloader and once after and the same problem so i know the bootloader unlocking is not the problem cuz it has been present since day 1 , not to mention the phone heats like crazy without much use and the battery isworst than my 3 years old htc sensation even with power save mode on with all app closed ,i went the the warrant shop 3 times and i told them i unlocked the bootloader and no problem i will pay money just fix the phone ( 3 times !!) 1 time software problem , 1 time u dropped it , 1 time its normal it takes time to esttle in , and the phone support through guide app i called 5 times , everytime they tell me visit the warrant shop , and i tell tjhem they are useless , and ask about update they tell me it's not planned for ur model yet , 1 time they tell me ur model is faulty maybe although my friend has the same model dual sim and is amazing as the regular m8 which got the update , even the m7 dual sim got the 4.4.3 update , so what i am saying i paid nearly 800 dollars for a fancy looking phone with performance worst than ifruit ( i pee) (i idiot ) 3 , and my sensation xe , what do u advice me to do ?????? , i need to contact some customer support with english language through mail away from middle east plz ,help me if u can

I just checked on the htc website (www.htc.com) and at the bottom of the page there is a contact section where you can get contact details for all htc locations (or use an email option). Not so hard.

I just got my brand new moto 360 yesterday.
1 of all really cool wacth!! BUT! while im using it almost all the time it vibrates and goes black and then showing the watch again..... and it is doing this at random times..... and i am going insane becous there is NO WHERE on the web which describes this problem,,,,
can some one PLEASE have an solution. i have reset it 4 times now and still doing it
firmware 5.0.1 lollipop.

I've had my watch since November with no issues, but yesterday I dropped it (not hard, not enough that it should have done any damage) and now I'm facing the same issue as the OP. Which unfortunately suggests that it may be a hardware issue. If anyone has any ideas other than reboot/reset I'd be really happy to hear them - otherwise I think I'll be taking it back to the retailer and seeing if I can get a replacement.
I've had the same problem since day 1.
I don't know what to do cause it happens occasionally.
I've been using my Moto 360 for 11 days.
watch vibrates when your bluetooth device is out of range with your watch.
when it does, look at your watch, you'll see an icon of a cloud with a line across it. it means your device is offline and only function is to show your time.
when you are back in range with your bluetooth device, it will vibrate again to let you know that the watch is back online and the icon will disappear.
