Full details are here

Just wondering if anyone has tried it.. Tempted, but would like to know it works before I give it a go !!
No one tried this ?
Does anyone have any more details of this yet?
I'm quite interested in it, as I've held off rooting my desire until something like this is available so that I can get it back to stock for warranty reasons if necessary.
If someone does try it, could you let us know the HBOOT version etc?
Looks like someone used it on the other forum.. seems to have worked OK !
Following the advise on the other forum...
I've installed the stock 2.2
Seems to have gone well
Currently using my main 8gb SD as my goldcard and mem card.
About to make a backup 4gb goldcard..
Only thing I can't get to work properly is Laputa Ebook Reader.
Books are there but don't appear on My Shelf..
I'll have a play !!
HBOOT version?
Also anyone tried unrevoked with this?

If it's stock 2.2, unrevoked won't work since it's got HBOOT 0.92. I'm running that same build, but like chippieuk I haven't downgraded my HBOOT yet for fear of not getting back when something goes wrong or I need my waranty.
shipped-roms.com is asking for a password, anyone have any idea what it is?
or if anyone has a copy, please host it for us somewhere for our flashing pleasure
Withdrawn O2 UK Stock Froyo RUU
I made the mistake of downgrading my Desire SLCD after I had used a clockworkmod ROM and I lost my display. This seems very common, based on the posts on this forum. However I downloaded a copy of the withdrawn stock Froyo RUU and thought I would have nothing to lose if I tried to flash my desire. Well I tried it on Monday and I was over the moon when I found my Desire was back to normal operation.
I have been using the new Froyo on my O2 Ireland phone for a week now and I haven't experienced any negatives. The phone is running a dream in every way and seems faster than the original 2.1 ROM that was initially supplied. I can only guess that the problems experienced by the initial users was related to an upgrade rather than a complete new flash.
The link I used for the O2 UK Froyo RUU is here:
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Bra...00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_144166_signed.exe
I hope this fixes any similar problems for users of the SLCD Desire, good luck
wooo
I just registered to show my thanks to sysconp1, that RUU worked a treat had the bricked slcd used that link and all is well, stock o2UK froyo Thanks again buddy and merry crimbo and a happy new year to all =]
Hey, I have a problem with my HTC wildfire after i tried rooting it.
I used this tutorial ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1145035 ) while trying to root my phone.
After downgrading my phone from froyo 2.2.1 to eclair 2.1 with the RUU, my phone rebooted like it was supposed to do but now the touchscreen on my phone will not work at all. I have no idea of how to fix this and i was wondering if anybody could help me out? thanks in advance

If your read my thread you already have the answer.
I had exactly the same problem and i was in panic. This is what i did. Started the phone as usual. And because no touch i couldn´t get pass pincode for sim. At that point i connected the phone to my pc and tried a different RUU. Google it and you find it
""RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.37.405.1_Radio_13.53.55.24H_3. 35.19.25_release_151892_signed"
Probably it won´t work first try but have the phone connected to the computer while you restart your pc, open RUU file again and finally it will work. The phone rebooted with 2.1 eclair and touch working! =) Then rooting was a peace of cake after that! I have now cm7
thanks so much i was getting worried when i realised the touchscreen wouldnt work at all ..I tried searching for the answer but i didnt seem to find it so i decided to put up a thread :L

Hi all,
I have a little or it could be a big problem so I'm hoping you can help me here. I have 2 HTC Wildfire's one is Red the other is Brown. (Both on BUZZ)
Now I have debranded the brown one first and it worked a treat and I was able to update via WIFI and now it's up to 2.2. So then I decided to do the red one but that caused me nothing but problems started off will touchscreen not working but I found the kernel to reconnected the touchscreen. When I go in to HBOOT the touchscreen codes are different to each other, anyway once I got it working I tried to update via WIFI and it found the update but it would not procced to finish it so I had to root it via the sdcard and it worked but I can't tell if the WIFI update will work.
Now the problem is I have lost all my wallpapers on the Red one but not the brown one as it is still there. So how can I replace the wallpaper thats gone missing and how can I be sure that the WIFI update will work?
When I go through the screens they all match the same including the build numbers etc what has happened?
If this is any help I used ClockworkMod v3.0.0.1 (I think) but I can't get to it now without doing it all again. I don't mind doing it again if needed.
Plus another thing I remember is, I did some tests on both phones when I ring them it shows a different screen to each other, is that possiable?
I hope someone can help as we in need to use these phones.
Many thanks John
Did you use Revolutionary to gain S-OFF on the Red one? In that case, losing wallpapers, and the setup wizard is a known bug. The fix can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1156713
Also, Revolutionary works when you are on Android 2.2.1 (On the updated HBoot). So, even though it may have shown that the update failed, it must have been installed successfully for it to work.

They have both got S-OFF, and done by Revolutionary.

Many thanks for replying.
Long last, Many thanks 3xeno for your help, Now I have both phones matching with all apps doing as it ment to do, I also had to do the brown one as that had setup problems so I ran the same program for both and it worked a treat. So many thanks for all the posts and I sure will be staying on and learn more about these phones.
Many thanks to you all.

Hello, I'm at my wits end. I've googled til my fingers bled and I can find no way to unroot my particular phone. I've used the getvar tool and ascertained that I have a cid 2___001 and a version main of 1.54.206.10.
I cannot find anywhere that has them both so I can attempt to unroot my phone. I'm constantly nagged about a security update which I can't install as its rooted and I've tried a couple of custom roms including carbon Rom (I used to have it on my N5) but none have worked properly. One couldn't use WiFi and another wouldn't even let me into settings.
Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you for your patience.
So, found my old Desire.
Wanted to root this little guy but i dont have much expirience with rooting HTC phones. I tried unrevoked3, HTC QuickRoot, triedto flash stock 2.1 but everything fails.
Either way it says "Connection Error", Driver Issues (though i tried to install everything manually) or the Programs getting stuck at steps like "Waiting for Bootloader...".
I also should mention that it has a Telekom branding (guessed by the bootanimation).
I know this is not the most active Device Forum but i really would apreciate some help. Thanks in advance.
