I was just wondering if it is ok to use battery from I9000 GalaxyS with SGS vibrant T959?
Are the specs and dimensions of the two batteries the same?
Thanks.
I'm pretty sure the batteries are identical.
Exact same battery. Youre good to go if youre planming on using one

Are our Epic 4G touch batteries really different than the international GSII? I thought they weren't.
Shame, because this says these GSII batteries aren't compatible, explicitly, and I'm surprised:

Maybe I'd just really love to fit 1900mAh batteries in the same space as my current 1800mAh batteries.
but
Does anyone know the answer?
I have a spare battery from my vibrant its not 100% the same its thinner and a bit longer so I'm sure it will fit its just a little different

Battery from my Captivate fits.... it's a bit tight, but I think that means the international GS2 would work.

I'm thinking this might mean 2 things:
1) this 1900mah battery could probably have some plastic filed down to fit perfectly.
2) this company could come out with a thicker battery (our dimensions) for the ET4G specifically that could do 2000mah or 2100mah
Anyone know of any slightly-extended batteries that fit under the stock battery cover?

My friend bought a battery branded for international and it's COMPLETELY different. It's long where as ours are wide. Batteries for the OG epic work though.
I'm looking for a Galaxy Nexus extended battery in the 2000-3000mah category. I don't want the Uber-thick 3800mah Seido but I don't want the extra 100-200mah for the Samsung extended (doesn't seem worth it even with a half-priced battery), I'm kind of looking for something in between (like a sweet spot) maybe in the range of 2500-3000 would be ideal. I'm sure there will need to be a separate case for it.
Any suggestions?
Chicks dig the uber thick ones

I wish there was a 2500 option for the gnex too. I'm cutting it close at the end of the day and it would be awesome if I didn't have to worry about conserving enough for an emergency.
I purchased 2 2500mA batteries from Hong Kong. There is no NFC. Also, the batteries work with the original back cover!! I should receive them by the end of the week hopefully. I am currently using a 3800 extended battery and the battery life is unbelievably great. I am hopeful that the 2500 will get me through a day of heavy use. I bought them off eBay from "weil368".

Which Galaxy Nexus are you running? Verizon Usere here.
Will update once I receive and put to use!

I received my 2 2500mAh batteries today. I just started using them. Will report back on how they last.

Just curious, do you have the LTE Verizon Nexus or the GSM version?
I have the GSM Nexus. The first day was OK. Definitely better than the original battery but no where near as good as the 3800mAh behemoth. I was able to make it through a day of light to moderate use. Hopefully after a few cycles they will get better.

How much screen on time was that? I switched to teerom and have gone from 6 hours of battery life up to 15 or so with stock battery. I think it may be the apex launcher.

It was 2:50 of screen time. For whatever reason I cannot upload the screen shot of the screen usage.

Guys ... please don't be fooled by high amperage in the same OEM body volume adverts.
There is NO 2500mAh in the world that will fit in the original 1750mAh volume. That technology is not yet accessible.
I'm 120% positive (and I can bet on this) that those "2500mAh" batteries have the same stored power (if not less) than the OEM 1750mAh ones.
If you get lucky, you may end up having initially a battery slightly stronger than the oem one which will deprecate in a matter of weeks and it will end up a lot weaker than the OEM.
I've been wondering about something for a while. Is there a technical reason why Li-Ion batteries must be in rectangular shape? Looking at the ginormous back for the Seido/Mugen 3500+ mAh extended batteries, I can't help thinking about all that wasted space above the SIM and up to the camera that could be "filled in" by an irregularly shaped battery.
The battery is made out of a long ribbon-like sandwich of electrolyte between two thin metallic foils (electrodes) and the whole structure is rolled or packed. It would be way too expensive to make it in custom shapes. So , the Li-Ion batteries can be built like cylinders or rectangular shapes.
Hi,
I have searched but didn't find any information, and for good reasons... They former hasn't launched globally yet.
Would it be possible to use a SG3 battery in GNex? I understand the GNex is a smaller device, but could have same battery compartment as SG3?
Anyone tried? If it's possible, imagine the battery benefits... But me thinks Sammy is a little smarter than that
Thanks!

Why not just buy an extended battery.. basically the same capacity and a guaranteed fit.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Just buy the GNex extended battery...
I wanted to get the Verizon one since it's pretty much OEM quality, but cannot ship to Canada...
I prefer to stick with OEM, which is why I am wondering if a battery swap could work... Hmmm

The Verizon battery won't even fit in your phone.

Verizon battery won't fit. The Samsung extended battery for the GSM model is OEM.
Where can I obtain the Samsung extended battery for GSM?
What's the capacity?
I am still interested in seeing if anyone had luck using SG3 battery in GNex...
Thanks

Samsung one is 2050mAh
It won't make a difference. Just buy a battery that is guaranteed to work.

They're all over eBay from Korean sellers, about $30-$35 right now including a new back cover (you need it).
The SGSIII one won't fit. Just buy the 2000mAh Samsung GNex one.
Just Google Samsung Galaxy Nexus OEM extended battery..
The vzw one won't fit.. you could always just buy a after market battery with the same mAh tho

Except aftermarket ones don't have the same MAh.
I couldn't find any info on this, but does the 2100mah battery fit into the epic touch? Seems like there was a store (from a slickdeals post) selling an extended battery for the S3 that is the identical product to the epic touch...so they physically are the same dimensions as the original battery right?
Not sure but I will definitely be getting one if that is the case!
I'm pretty sure the sizes are different

This. They won't be the same size.
Sent from my Blu Kuban'd Galaxy S II.
S2 battery isn't the same size as S1... but it fits
I think the real question is who is going to take the time to jump and buy one and test then report the results
The gs3 battery is bigger and wont fit, there's a pic comparing both on the gs3 thread in general.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I don't think it will fit.
So did we confirm that the S3 battery will NOT work with our Epic 4G Touch? Thanks!

Yes
Unless you put a few wires from the copper connectors to the terminals of the battery then it would., wouldn't ?

Even though is really cheap. I would recommend a better battery such as anker batteries.
I have an anker battery from amazon. Works great and lasts longer than the original battery.
