Just got Bonsai, now all my apps on sd icons are disappearing - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I get my home screens all set up and when I end up rebooting the phone, all my apps that are moved to SD do not show any icon on the home pages. Any help is appreciated.

[Q] Odd behaviours: GPS, and home screen

I'm seeing some occasional odd behaviour on my Defy and I'd be grateful if anyone can shed any light on causes and possible fixes:
1) Sometimes the GPS seems to come on for no reason - I haven't started Google maps or any other app that uses it;
2) Sometimes I am unable to move stuff around the home screen, or locate new widgets or apps from the drawer. The green "footprints" don't show up, nor do the green screen edges to move from page to page of the home screen. And I can't resize objects on the home screen eg the weather widget. A reboot fixes this but obviously that is less than ideal.
Any ideas?

[Q] Lost all homescreen and app drawer icons on Verizon GNex

One of my coworkers showed me the Verizon Gnex he had gotten the day before. I scrolled through the homescreens, went into the app drawer and scrolled through it, went back to the homescreen and pulled down the notification bar and swiped away the notifications one by one, said "Cool", and handed it back. A minute later he showed me his phone and it had no icons on any of the homescreens OR in the app drawer. So I rebooted the phone for him and handed it back. When it came up he said they were all back, but after a minute they disappeared again. You could still scroll through all the homescreens (evidenced by the aspect of the wallpaper changing) and enter the app drawer, but there were no icons anywhere.
I did not have time to look into it at the time since this was at a luncheon, and he left after lunch, but afterwards I searched the net to see if anyone else had a similar problem and only found a reference to an SGSII missing all the homescreen icons which was solved by doing a battery pull. I am not sure if he had already gotten the OTA update.
Anyone else seen this?

[Q] Messages icon still hidden even after removing go sms...

The only way I can get it back is by switching to TouchWiz from Nova. If I switch to Nova, the icon disappears but I still get messages and can access it through the notification bar. When I go into hide apps in Nova settings, I don't see messages anywhere. Is there anything I can do besides uninstalling / reinstalling Nova? I rather not have to rearrange all my icons again

Fire TV Home Screen Issue & Fix

I just wanted to post an issue I ran into and save a lot of other people the trouble of trying to figure it out (And a Factory Reset). My home screen icons had all disappeared, after an hour of trying to figure out what was the cause, and ready to reset my fire TV to factory defaults, I found out the cause of the missing icons. It turns out if you turn off the "Collect App Usage Data" setting under "Applications", it will make all your icons on your home screen disappear except for the "Featured" bar (Goodbye Kodi Home Icon!). I hope this will save somebody the frustration and wasted time of trying to find out what happened to their home screen, after inadvertently changing to a seemingly unrelated setting.

All my widgets disappeared.... again

Overnight, all my widgets disappeared from my home screens (HTC weather clock, Play Music etc). They're no longer available through a long press of the home screen. All that appears in the widgets tab is a 4x2 folder called HTC sense.
I restarted, I wiped the cache, still no widgets. This happened twice before and I had to do a full factory reset to fix it. Now that I have my SD card set to internal storage this is very inconvenient. Has this happened to you and could you fix it?
