Hi guys,
I just update my qtek9000 with JASJAR_WWE_13076_164_10900_wwe_ship. It works fine so far except one thing. Has anyone tried Logmein with this new rom? It just does not go ahead even after I install the client program. I guess there's something wrong with the client or with the new PIE.
BTW, I have modifed the rom so that I can read and write Japanese. So, technically, the rom is not original. I did not install anything from the extended rom... should I install something out of it??

Hi,
This is known problem with logmein. The client program doesnt work with wm5 aku2. Logmein support tells they will fix it.....(dont tell when)
thanks for the info, dherrero
logmein ran with the rom Xda_Exec_Upgrade_v113188... i have to find an alternative solution until logmein fixes the client, then.

Hi,
i have the same problem.Very annoying.Would you be so kind, and let me know if you find any alternative solution? And please if anybody realizes that they have fixed the problem, please send a message here.

if you have a global ip address assigned to your pc, i suppose you could use vnc.
in my case, i share an optical connection with other people in my apartment building, and do not have a global ip... so i do not think i can use vnc from outside.
well, it looks like i have to wait for logmein people to fix the client issue whatever it is...
cheers,
qt
try z2r2pc. It uses a callback system to comunicate the systems. Very fast, a little more dificult to setup, ftp included....And you only need one license to access 1 or more pc.....
loginme works now!
i tried logmein for the first time after i upgraded my universal with the new qtek rom, and it works now! great!!

Hi Guys,
im looking for a tool to Administrate my PC at home over my touch HD (over the www). Any Idea ??
Thanks
Eat
I recommend that you use the included remote destkop software or VNC. VNC is often easier to setup with firewalls and such.

Hi I use UltraVNC on my Desktop and Notebooks and have discovered VNC for Windows Mobiles from Mochasoft works pretty good.
Cheers

logmein, you'll need to use IE rather than opera on your phone and the full keyboard not the touch friendly versions. I find it works very well and its free!
Thx for the answer
logmein is very nice, but only if u have a good connection like umts.
with edge is it very slow, but it works
i test VNC next
try some of the settings in the tools menu in logmein, quality and speed settings here. I found logmein quite fast compared to VNC or remote desktop.
You should also give RDM+ a try; i've been using it for a while and it works great.

Yes I have tied the included remote desktop software. However I did not manage to set it up to my own computer because of my firewalls but I could connect to other remote desktop servers.
I use VNC now, far easier to get everything to work and lots of options available.
ok i tried:
- Remote Desktop
- VNC
All of this services works without any problem, but the best and fastes way is VNC 4 me, i love it (thx 4 the tip)
EDIT: @ Torusy
Firewallsettings 4 Remote Desktop: open TCP port 3389

thanks for the information. Sadly I already knew about that part and had forwarded the ports and such still it was abit to messy with my firewall. And I like to follow my rule: when you can avoid software from Microsoft do it and yes im aware that im using Windows Mobile 6.1 by Microsoft
logmein.com
i've used the above, and it works well, the only draw back being though, unless you have a good data connection, it can be flustrating waiting for the action to happen at the other end...
other than that - yes try it.... well worth ago, as its free for the basic service!

I am trying the trial version but on their website it nowhere says how to setup a connection. Yeah i get this:
* VNC IP Address: Name of the VNC Server. Either a TCP/IP address as 155.22.11.2 or a DNS name.
* Port numberort number for the session. As default VNC uses port 5900 for Windows VNC servers, and UNIX/Linux uses 5901
* MS-Logon: UltraVNC can use the user ID/Password from the Windows OS
* User: Only valid for MS-Logon
* Password: Password for the VNC Server.
* Remember user/password: VNC will write the password to a local registry. Gives limited security!
But i dont know the VNC server, the password, or how to achieve those. How do they expect me to learn this? What do i need to setup on my PC in order to achieve those informations. RDM+ explains this much better, you have to setup a PC client, a WM client you get the password, and your done. But i was wanting to try out the mochasoft one to see if its any better, but cant seem to get an easy setup. Could someone please explain what i need to fill in to get a connection to my pc?
The fastest solution is the remote desktop, which is preinstalled on the Touch HD. You need at least XP Professional or Vista Business otherwise Windows has only the client and not the server service.
xp home
I have a Windows XP Home, and the build-in remote desktop software don't work then.
I Use UltraVNC on my pc and Mocha VNC on my HD, and i works ok, but it's a bit slow.

I don't know if this would help, but this was what I did:
VNC Server IP Address:
XXX.XXX.X.XXX:5900 (my ip address : port number)
Password:
(Right click on the icon in the taskbar on the server PC, and select Admin Properties. Fill the box at "VNC Authentification" with a password.)
Fill in the password on the Touch HD at "VNC Password, optional".
Then it just worked on my PC, but I don't know if your computer/firewall requires some extra settings.
Sorry for my bad english... Hope this will help you!
Hi, can someone point me in the direction or send me a link to a generic sky mobile tv cab. I know ive seen one about these forums before but i cant seem to find it with built in search or google custom. My device is blackstone with 6.5 and when i try to get it of sky it says device not supported.
Thanks in advance
Hiya,
Try this link - it's not easy as the java version of remote record doesnt expect you to not have a physical keyboard.

if there's a software for Windows Mobile to access sky mobile tv and you are not able to use it because sky says device is not supported, then you can try manipulating with UAProf.
I had previously had problem access mobile tv service locally in Singapore with my Xperia, and I basically change the UA Prof URL and User Agent to that of a supported device, i.e. fool the server (in my case starhub mobile tv server, in your case sky) that it's another device that's connecting for the TV service.
It will work with the java app. It's just you need to remap your volume key to activate text input as the app has no option to launch the keyboard to enter your username and password.
I use remote desktop from my tilt2 to manage a data center.
I have several annoying issues. I would like to know if any of you have a solution for:
1) I need to ability to /admin or /console into the server.
2) ZOOM into the remote desktop session.
3) Switch to landscape and portrait while maintaining screen ratio.
A freakin Iphone can do this. It can't be that difficult to get this to work on windows mobile 6.5. Does anyone know how to modify the remote desktop client to achieve this? Or write a new remote desktop client?
Using another solution that requires an agent to be installed on the server is not an option. Also, using shadow is not an option.
Thank You!
ya go an pay for VNC
Though it isn't related to remote desktop mobile, if you can SSH in to your data center, you could always try pocket puTTY.
Like I said I don't want to install anything on my servers. I want to use the built in remote desktop solution on the windows server on port 3389.
This currently works I just can't zoom in from my tilt2, and can't connect to console session. Also no ability to save connections as "favorites". Very limited RDP client. Seems someone would have developed a custom RDP client for WINMO since RDP is the #1 method for maintaining a windows infrastructure.

Hope it helps,

Open remote desktop, make your connection, then on the server run tscon.exe 0. This will connect you to the console session.
I typically start my rdp sessions with the keyboard slid out, so that I can use it for logins and so I can put my device down while I am working and still see the session. So I have not flipped back and forth.
What would be even more useful is if I could get a bt mouse/keyboard to work with the Tilt2....still searching for that fix. RDP without a mouse is a bit of a bummer.

You could try Bluemouse. It's a program which allows HID compliant bluetooth mice and keyboards to work on your device. But use the trial before you buy it, since I'm not sure it'll work due to the Widcomm bluetooth stack used by the TP2.
bump this, Is there a way to get the slider bar to zoom in and out of a RDP connection. Also, people are saying to pay for VNC, is VNC better does it support zooming with the zoom bar or does it support zooming in general. My desktops resolution is 1920x1080. I had a app on the iphone called jaadu and it worked perfectly with ultra vnc. It supported zooming and panning.
Remote Desktop
All we need to fix the Remote Desktop problem on the Tilt2 is for someone to modify the zoom slider so that it zooms not only on web or photos but on Remote Desktop as well. Should be simple!
I use RealVNC, which is great, but I saw another VNC program that allows drag scrolling (instead of scrollbars) to view the rest of the screen. I'll look up what program that was.
In the meantime, watch this YouTube video of Remote Desktop on the HD2. It looks very nice!! But I wonder if it is a feature of Windows 7 that has that interface, or a new RD app. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFiDZ_wBAtM
edit: That other app is called MochaVNC. Really cool features!
Very nice! Exactly what I am looking for except I don;t have an HD2. I have a Tilt2. There has to be a way to make that work with the Tilt2 using scroll bars instead of the "pinch to zoom"
Right, exactly what I love about it! I have a Touch Pro 2 (same as you, but on Verizon), and although we don't have multi-touch, the scrollbars would be great.
I was looking for this exact thing. Zooming with the zoom bar would be fantastic.
Also, does anyone know if I can connect using L2TP on the default client?
Has anybody tried the HD2 version of Remote Desktop to see how it behaves?
Update:
Here is a copy of Remote Desktop Mobile from LEO ROM 1.48.405.2 (WWE). I don't know if this is the one with 'pinch to zoom' or not.
It is in OEM format copied from \SYS\.
Its not working. I looking for the same solution with a small navigation window :/ and cant find any. Someone know from where we can get the same Remote Desktop Control with small navigation window ?
I use T2 Remote Touch which you can find thread here.
I have paid for the pro version, but you can also use a free version. Hope you find this helpful.
Hi,
Is there any app to remote control a W10M device ??
On Android devices and W8/10 desktops I use TeamViewer and I like it much, however, the W10M version allows me to control another device from the phone but not to control the phone from another device...
What I want is to be able to control a Lumia 650 from a Windows PC. Any utility for that ?? Any way to RDP into W10M ??
Thanks in advance,
Manuel
[ I'm new to W10Mobile (Today!), I've done a search but not found anything about it... ]
nope sorry, isnt possible. no app has enough permissions (or is able to get enough) to do that. dunno if it was possible in the past with the project my screen app (via usb) to make inputs, but that feature isnt implemented in win 10 mobile (was only available in 8(.1)) either way (only screen sharing via miracast is possible with 10 mobile, or continuum)
Thanks for your answer. I suspected it but had some hope...
This is a real drawback, no way to give remote support to users !!
iOS and Android both work really well with TeamViewer..
W10M supposedly has Universal app, but the remote control is just one way... and I need just the other !!
Thanks, Regards,
for such things there a no api, should be possible for a dev to make a "look"on the device possible, but only within that one app. and thats useless, everything else would need deep system access/integration. and that is just not possible (and somehow against ms' safety concept of windows 10 mobile)
call me old fashioned, but i find it useless either way. anyone who needs "remote support" for his phone shouldnt be allowed to have a smartphone or using the internet at all (yes im voting for a "internet driving license", but sadly that system doesnt work on the street at all too...)
hehe... please don't give such ideas... Internet driving license... plus taxes, of course !!
Actually I have lots of that kind of users to support... That's why I need a remote tool !
Once resigned to not having it... MS concept of "safety" seems too different on Desktop than on mobile. WDesktop has RDP tightly integrated (That was my last hope on mobile, to have sth simmilar, but no luck... ) and lots of apps to remote control... Including the W10M version of TeamViewer, that allows you to control a Windows Desktop, and even a Windows Server !!)
It's only me, or... seems weird?
There is a app named "Teamviewer Quicksupport preview" which can be used for remotely control w10 mobile.but it's only available for Redstone user..
Redstone mean insider fast ring?
You can also remote control your device using device portal in developer settings of your Windows 10M. To use it from your phone, go to "127.0.0.1" in your browser. From other device through common Wi-Fi or hotspot connection, your phone's ip address as the link in browser of android device.
(this has some cool stuffs to use).
