I just tried flashing the release candidate for CM7 onto my HTC Incredible, and I can run almost no apps (including Gmail and LauncherPro) without them being force closed immediately. How do I stop this error so I can actually use the new ROM?
You need to flash a nightly build of CM7, then flash RC1 over the nightly.
Also flash it through CMRecovery, not through rom manager just to make sure.
You can also try fix permissions.

I have been having a big problem trying to download/install any appliction from the market which is very frustrating beacuse I have no applications installed and they all require updates.
Heres what i done to try to fix, nandroided to past nightlys, wiped everything and started over. and i continue to no be able to install any application.
Is there any solution to this problem, if not i will just flash another rom, regretably.

Hey guys, I'm just wondering of the currently nightlies, which one is running the smoothest? Also, if I'm on CM7 GB6, how do I upgrade to a nightly properly? full wipe and install?

The latest nightlies. Download, and flash like any other rom. just be sure to re-flash the latest gapps with it to be safe.
Edit: Also, from 6+ they all include the wimax, so no worries there.
i think the easiest way is to just use Clockwork Rom Manager.
You can get the nightlies directly from the app, and also receive push notifications when they are released every night. It's very simply with Rom Manager.
Also, coming from an existing CM7 ROM, you don't have to do a full wipe when moving over to nightlies. It won't hurt, but i have successfully gone back and forth without wiping many times.

Just to note, you can only download roms with the premium [paid] version.

Any word on when RC2 will be released?
Hi,
I recently updated CM 6 to CM7 RC2 and ended up losing everything (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=999511). It took me more than a day to get my apps, setting, etc. all back.
How do I "correctly" update RC2 to RC3 without going through the same sh!t again? Is there a way to do it so that everything stays the same?
Thanks
Updates within cm7 don't require any wipe. Just flash the zip file and yer off. Yeeeee haw!

man are you sure? i cant afford to lose everything again... can i just do it through rom manager?
Why don't you make a backup to be sure? I had a system crash a few days ago and could only load CWM. After a backup and complete wipe with new rom install I recovered only the DATA and so I got my contacts, messages, apps etc back in one flow on a fresh rom.

download Titanium backup from the market then "if" you do loose anything, you can put back all your programs/games/saves.
Just flash over the cm7 rc2 with rc3 or nightly without wipe.

Used that once and no issues. Try CM7.2 RC 2. It works great.
I don't know if It's not responding or stuck at - obraing IP address. I had this problem before just had to clear the remembered WiFi networks and it started working again. If that doesn't help, the cyanogen mod wiki reported that chaning the Phone's Host Name fixes it. If that doesn't work try wiping cache, if that doesn't work wipe data/cache, if that doesn't work upgrade to the latest cyanogen from here: http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=buzz&type= ! Cheers.
can u pls suggest me stable and advanced version of cm7 and recovery
For Stable Builds, go to http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=stable&device=buzz. For Nightly Builds, go to http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=nightly&device=buzz. I'd suggest you download the latest of either the Stable or Nightly Builds.
You'd probably need to download the latest CWM recovery from the market but CWM v4 would work. CWM is included in the ROM anyways. After flashing, you'd see it in the App Drawer. Enjoy!
almost all cyanogen versions goes great with wifi. kernels also the same in last versions, so try to reflash RADIO, but be careful, u can brick your phone. i did that in old times, and it worked. used nightlies
So I originially dowloaded gapps from an article from a couple months ago, i believe it was the 7/19 version. I found out that the most recent one was 10/11 and 11/30 (the 11/30 is only for 4.2, but i still installed it by accident). I reverted to 10/11 after 10/30 didn't work, but 1011 still had problems, mainly i get many dialogs saying that the keyboard stopped working. I reinstalled the 719 version, which seems to work well, but I wanted to find out why the recommended 1011 stable gapps release doesn't work, is it only for me? Also, it reset all my cm10 settings, notification colors EVERYTHING. is this normal for flashing new gapps?
seems that the keyboard has stopped working again, help? Im still on the 719 version, still not working? Do i have to flash cm10 again?
The 10/11 jb version of gapps is the correct one.
If I were you I would wipe and re-install CM10 + gapps. You can backup and restore your apps with Titanium Backup.
