[Boot Animation] Particular Android (with bonus wallpaper)

I've made a new boot animation, and, unlike my last one, it was done in After Effects, so sizing it up for other Android devices shouldn't be too hard. It was inspired by Cyanogen's new boot animation, but I wanted something mod-agnostic. For laffos I've also included a new wallpaper. Bonus points if anyone gets the reference. Sorry to anyone that replied to my last thread, I've been ridiculously busy with school. Hopefully the promise of Evo boot screens is enough to make up for it.
Quick question, for those of you with Evos that may be interested: do you have enough space in /system for a larger boot anim? Getting this one to fit was a bear, but I have many more frames that make it look a lot smoother if there's space to include them.

[Q] [REQ] Psychopathic Records Theme, Black and Red

Would any theme creators out there be willing to do a Psychopathic Records theme for me? I would like for it to be similar to the Gears Of War Theme created by ZiggSeVO and Paul627g. I love the gears theme but would love to see something Psychopathic. I know its a long shot, not sure how many Juggalos/lettes peruse the epic forums. Help is greatly appreciated. Please message me to work out pics and icon info. I am actively researching how to begin creating my own themes. Still a Noob to this so bear with me.

Transmattered red is freaking aweome. This could get lengthy. lol. Im love all the black and red of your theme. My email is [email protected] If you would email me I have the pic I would love to have as my status bar background. I had attempted to modify the Gears theme on my own. As a noob I must have missed a step. Once I removed original gears theme and then flashed the "modified" one. It went through the boot animation and then force closed and looped the boot. The pic I have is of J and Shaggy. And it would be cool to have the a nice smooth hatchetman logo that matches the color at both ends of where the "Galaxy S" logo is at the bottom of the status bar. If you want to go all out and make a all out theme I have loads of ideas. but i do not wish to burden you. It seems like alot of work and Im so happy you replied. I just do not want to take advantage of your kindness. I will be glad to donate to you or pay you for the theme. Even if its for the public. For the boot animations I would like to have a clip from "In Yo Face" video. Its a high energy video and would stand out. Im not sure if you also do unlock screens but if you do I have ideas for that too. Just let me me know and we can go from there. Email me so we can have quicker responses.

yes yes i can do all this... i will pm you my email so you can send me all the pics n stuff, ideas based off of my theme, the boot animation is gonna be the hardest but its still not too hard. & would you have a sound clip for that in yo face clip so i can make a matching boot ani. i can change the dialer backgrounds, & most of the system apps as well, & if you do wanna donate i dunno how to set it up thru paypal yet, im sure its easy, but what eva... just give me ALL... your ideas & it will only take me a couple of days topps all i need to know is what rom your running

I can't wait for this theme. Greenmuggy has allowed me to be a creative mind every step of the way. Not trying to take any credit... just commenting on how user friendly he is. He picked this theme up when I didn't think anyone else would. For that I thank him.

sry man i had ta, im a lil tipsy lol im just sayin themes work bc they do...but if an explanation is needed it replaces images in system & apps kinda like replacing images on a flash drive...

This is just a bootanimation I made for myself, but then I thought others might like it. Also thought it was about time I make my first post
I tried to replicate the boot screen at the start of Sonic the Hedgehog. I've attached the bootanimation.zip and the PSD in case you want to make your own changes to it, as it is far from perfect.

Looks good for a first try. Too bad Samsung and Google haven't seen fit to let us know about enabling boot sounds, because this is crying out for someone saying "ANDROID" in the same style as they did on the Genesis boot.

Sorry for the thread from the dead, but I've got some pertinent information...
I'm running BAMF, and it supports boot sounds. I've only come across one person even attempting to take advantage of this, however. If you read forward in that thread, you can see that I flashed his Xbox boot animation CWM script and verified that it did indeed have sound. The technology is out there, now we just have to take hold and put it to good use...

This is by far my favorite boot animation
I love this animation so much that I have it on my Nexus and tried to use it on my Galaxy Tab. This is somewhat unrelated, but it displays in the wrong orientation on my Tab. Can you please point me in the right direction toward correcting that?

I have to change the orientation of the images and in the desc.txt file. You can try this one for the time being:

I made this one for the ASUS Transformer Prime, so it's got four cores at the end instead of just two, but I'm working on one for the Original ASUS Transformer that will drop back down to two Cores.

I complained when my phone booted too fast.

looks awesome! sound+portrait would be even better.

I'd love to add sound but I haven't seen any instructions on how to add any. I know there are a couple ROMs that are out there that have sounds on the boot animation, but I don't think it's a universal setting....just specific to those ROMs. If there's a way to add sound that would work on any ROM, let me know!

OK, how did you get the sound to work? What ROM are you running?

The boot animation and audio with the 1 in front are the originals. I put a 1 so I wouldn't have to move them. Move the audio file you want to the directory in the pic with root explorer and title them exactly as I have. You can delete or replace the originals, you don't need to keep them in there like I did, I was just being lazy.

Oh. And it may be case sensitive, I don't know if it is here but for system sounds like clicks stuff I think it is so if you have issues make sure the case is how it would be by default, lower case for boot audio, and upper case for system sounds. I could and probably am totally wrong though.

dont understand how to install
i only know how to install the CWM flashable boot animations. i really want to install this one. its awsome. can someone please explain in detail how to install this. i tried coping the file from the sd card to the directory's from the how to install post but the system will not allow me to copy to those locations. they are read only. i am running liquid rom 1.4

How often is everyone rebooting their phone?? I saw my boot animation once.. The first boot after flashing a rom. Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like a ridiculous thing to care about

I reboot my phone every morning when flashing the newest CM10 nightly. And I always flash the stock jelly bean animation just because I like having a "pure" Android experience!

With all devices, I reboot maybe three times a week just to refresh. I like to see a custom or nice animation when it's loading. Really I'm trying change my splash screen. Coming from og evo, this must be done.

The great thing about Android is ability to customize. Why leave out the bootanimation?
For someone that is always flashing different roms/updates it is nice to see animation you choose to see. Just another part of the whole theme experience. Personally, I hate the stock animation because there are ones that are so much better and it is so easy to change them.

We all have our likes and dislikes. I flash Roms a lot + power cycle my phone daily. I like seeing different boot animations.

everybody wants to control and be independent. so why not experience that with urban phone even with something that people think meaningless like bootanimation. is that not why ur using a android phone not that out of the box thats what u get deal with it look from apple. just saying android gives us the customization and personalization no other OS would give us!

Its just another customization available to some ableAndroid users. I changed mine a few times (as a see if I could do it...) I also don't reboot often unless Im flashing a lot, so I never see if often either but when I do, it makes a smile.

All kidding aside..............
as has been said several times, the ability to customize and make it different.
It's kind of like having a chrome differential cover on a low rider.
Very few people will ever see it, but it is special to the owner because he knows he has it.

one thing to remember... these phones are basically computers and should have a soft reset done every now and then to amke sure that memory has been released back to the system. I usually turn off my phone and pull the battery for 30 seconds once a week. you should also be rebooting your PC about once a week or after running a lot of programs as RAM is volatile memory and anything left in RAM is removed during a reboot.

I have to agree with you on this... Could Care less what the phone did at boot up.. Lol. The faster the better. Some really like though, it's an option, so why not use it if you like it.

It's just one more thing that people love to customize. For those who do have to reboot their phone often, it's nice to have something you actually want to look at. (Some stock boot animations are rather annoying to watch over and over, lol) Personally, I like to have one that is mostly dark so I don't feel like it's wasting precious battery juice on unnessesary bright colors! lo
