Is the newest version of Cyanogen and clockwork safe for the 0004 hardware with Hboot 2.10 and 3.70?
Sent from my EVO 3G!Q
Cyanogen is safe, running it now on my 0004. No idea about clockwork though.

use the modified amon_ra if you care about your phone working properly.

I'm fine with clockwork mod.
But I have always wanted to try Amon Ra. But apparently you can't install unsigned roms with 1.7.
I have read that you can with 1.8, but does that exist for our Desire?
Unsigned roms work for me using amonra.

Tried it didn't work. Does anyone have any other tips ?
Um what's your hboot version. Because I know you have to get .76 for cm6 but idk about other roms but try that. First tell me what your hboot is

my guess would be when you rooted your s boot is still on. it has to be off in order to flash non sense roms. try flashing caulkios http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=745205
also go to settings then hardware information. what is your hardware version. once you have this power your phone off then turn it on by holding power down button and the power button this should boot you into bootloader. at top does it say supersonic blah blah blah s-off or s-on. also right below that gives hboot. 0.93.0000 is mine. once i know this i can help more. best guess is s boot is still on though.
Hardware version 003

I know you need the newest recovery (3.0) to install CM7 but with can you keep that recovery and install older roms as well? (Specifically 2.2 sense Roms) I know on the MT4G you need to switch between recoveries but on my Espresso I don't need to. Just curious if that's the case on My Vision. Thanks

Yes, CWM 3.0.0.x only for gingerbead 2.3.x and CWM 2.5.1.3 for froyo 2.2.x, so you have to switch back.

So I kind if just went through this last night I flashed gingervillain then I wanted to go back to 2.2.1 so I had both 2.x and 3.x recovery in the koush download folder so I flashed the 2.x recovery from a 2.3 rom then just booted in to recovery and flashed my 2.2 rom. Just change the names by adding gb or.fr

Now I'be read up and correct ne if I'm wrong but this is the precedure.
Flash new .92hboot in stock hboot
Flash Rom and gapps in cwr
Flash 11.19radio in hboot
Coming from stock rooted w/ unrevoked one touch root.
Thanks in advance

Yeah that's all good. Make sure you check md5 sums match before flashing radios and the hboot.
Sent from my HTC Incredible
Tend to do that before flashing anything. Thanks bud! Hope it goes all smooth

Just FYI, the 11.19 radio isn't required. I'm running 7.28 and its fine.
dont flash the radio.
You need a 2.15 radio, and there are about four to choose from if I remember right. Yes, the 11.19 is one, just wanted to let you know you're not limited to just that one.Doesn't really matter which. And personally, I would flash it second.
CM 7 will flash with 7.28 radio, CWM 2.5.1.2, and 7x hboot. Have it running on wife's dinc.
It runs just fine too.

You can update to the latest ota. Then go to revolutionary.io then follow the instructions to root your evo.
This epic reply brought to you by none other than my roxx'd out Evo.
Create a nandroid, install a 2.2 rom, like warm 2.2, and you're good.
