Yeah that's all good. Make sure you check md5 sums match before flashing radios and the hboot.

Tend to do that before flashing anything. Thanks bud! Hope it goes all smooth

Just FYI, the 11.19 radio isn't required. I'm running 7.28 and its fine.
dont flash the radio.
You need a 2.15 radio, and there are about four to choose from if I remember right. Yes, the 11.19 is one, just wanted to let you know you're not limited to just that one.Doesn't really matter which. And personally, I would flash it second.
CM 7 will flash with 7.28 radio, CWM 2.5.1.2, and 7x hboot. Have it running on wife's dinc.
It runs just fine too.

I've been out of the loop for a little while so sorry for the noob question. A few weeks ago when the pri upgrade was made clear, I was able to successfully upgrade to 1.40. Now my question is, is there a way to upgrade the hboot above 0.76 easily and still have nand unlocked? Also are there any pros and cons to what version hboot one has?
Why do you want to change your Eng bootloader for. The .76 version is just fine.

I wasnt sure if there are any pros to the newest one. I know my current 76 is fine but I'm the type that thinks the latest is what we should have, lol.
From a lot of research I have done on here, some people have problems flashing roms like cm6 because of their newer bootloader. In my opinion. 76 is the best to have. Just a thought.

The .76 is a hot commodity for the new rooted ones...

Is there a way to backup the hboot version on the phone before trying an upgrade? Just in case the new one has issues.
Don't ask how, because I'm not sure, but I am running CM7 on my DINC, and yet I'm "S-ON". My question is, how do I go about gettin it back to "S-OFF"? Do I need to flash back to stock and then re-root? Or can I just re-root with CM7? Or can I just run the unrevoked.zip through CWM? I'm still able to flash rom's. Does the "S-ON" affect anything? Thanks for your assistance!
Being S-ON prevents you from flashing radios and using metamorph themes. Being S-ON or S-OFF doesn't effect your ROM flashing abilities or root. To become S-OFF, use the forever tool on http://www.unrevoked.com

Awesome! Thanks, I'll look into that. Flashing a custom or different boot animation would be cool.

Sounds like you need to root you phone first. I would use revolutionary to do so. Its easy and quick did it last week when i got my sprint replacement phone.

Wait what ??? My phone is rooted I'm using the express ROM ...
I been rooted for like 2 years now I just didn't notice that I neeeded S-off to flash hboots or radios. Which is weird because I used to flash radios and flash a new hboot with S-on . But now i can't update the bootanimation the PC36IMG.zip file or update the hboot.

This is no problem. I assume you changed your HBOOT to use the Anthrax kernel? Well, you should've downgraded your radio first, and then this would've been a LOT easier. But, since you're stuck at S-ON, now, you'll need to follow these instructions to fix it.

Hey captain I'm guessing you want me to do this? ?
It'll be okay . Boot into recovery and nandroid. You'll need it once you're done.
Just download this: PC36IMG_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.70.651.1_Ra dio_2 .15.00.11.19_NV_1.90_release_161482_signed.zip
Rename to PC36IMG.zip and put it on the root of your SD Card. Boot into Bootloader, and let it update your device.
Then, once it boots up, got into settings and enable USB Debugging, and go to unrevoked.com and select unrevoked3 to root & NAND unlock your device.
Then, you can switch your recovery to Amon RA, full wipe, and restore your nandroid.

If I do this can I still be able to flash the express rom and the anthrax kernel. Or I have to flash another hboot and then do this process again?..

You won't have to do anything with your HBOOT anymore after this. This will get you back to S-OFF, and at the end, you'll just restore whatever you're running now (unless you just want to flash something else).
You can flash the Express ROM, the Anthrax kernel, the updated radios, and you'll still be S-OFF.
Trust me, just follow the instructions. it's easy. You have to download and install the Froyo ROM so you can re-root with unrevoked. After that, you're just installing a custom recovery and restoring your nandroid.
Okay I got it but you lost me in the last part. Okay so I need to install a froyo rom right now then update the PC36IMG.zip and then let it boot. Go to settings and use the USB debugging and go to the website install the exe. Root the phone and nandroid it? .....

I have tried several times to flash the new baseband radio. With 4EXT and I have tried rename file and fastreboot. Non works.
With 4ext I get massage I'm not allowed to flash etc ..
Am I missing something?
This will be the first radio I flash..I'm still on stock.

You can flash a new radio file .zip via CWR. It's very simple
I need to install clockwork recovery to be able to flash radio? I thought 4ext touch could do the job as well

Any recovery can.
Depending on your hboot, you may not be able to flash radio via recovery.
Flashing via fastboot is always better though.
I tried changing the zip file name and put it in sd card then boot phone into fastrecovery by holding back button and boot. But it doesn't recognize the file.... So I don't get any choice.

That's your problem. You can't flash radio via recovery with that hboot. You have to do it via fastboot.

Ok.... Did some searching.. Found out i had to extract the zip then flash the img file. Am i able to flash back and forth between radio versions. Also.. Do i need to reinstall the rom after the flash?

No need to reflash roms after radio change. A general rule to follow is that you don't mess with your radio if you don't have problems with your phone. One wrong move during flashing and it can brick your phone.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Unless like me, you have balls of steel and are still amazed that after what you've put your phone through over the years it still functions. Hell, it even survived me accidentally dropping it.... err.. against the err... wall...
I noticed just now that my hboot is the 6.01.605.05 version and I'm on the .0312 radio. Weird thing is I rooted way back when my phone was still on 2.3.3. I'm still S-OFF too. I'm not too worried about it since I can still flash Roms and kernels at will.
