I have a tmobile g2 that was dropped from about 3 ft, the screen had to be replaced, but now the accelerometer, proximity sensor, and light sensor do not work at all. I've tried wiping, factory data reset, and even dismantled it to see any obvious damage..and there's none. I'm on cm6.1 now and have used the stock rom also. Any suggestions???

Try going to cyanogenmod settings--user interface--automatic backlight--use custom--edit other levels
Then look at the raw value at the top of the screen and see if you can make it change by putting it under different lighting.

If T-Mobile replaced the screen on the phone, why not inform them of all these problems so they replace the phone completely?
I had the screen replaced by a repair shop...good idea I'll chk the cm settings...does anyone know where the accelerometer is in the phone? I don't see how it could be damaged and it not be obvious when I look inside of the phone.

I checked in cm settings-ui-auto backlight-edit and the raw values at the raw values don't change with the light conditions..is that most likely hardware or software related?

The level shows at -1

I unrooted my evo the other day after I got the Atrix. So today I decided to pull it out and do a little comparison type stuff. When I went to open my camera, it was just a blank black screen. It was also a blank black screen when I opened the camcorder app as well. I did a factory reset but that didn't fix the issue either. Anyone has any ideas?

Check hardware version. Some 004 models I've notice have been having camera issues. It the camera hardware its self. Un root and return to service center for repair.

I got a problem with my DHD after rooting. The softbuttons light up all the time, even with the screen off. When I go to sleep and wake up next morning they are still on. Rooted with Visionary and s-off. Tried different ROMs with no luck. Also tried to set all values to zero in cyanogenmod settings, but still no change:-\

Light sensor fail? How about auto brightness?
Tried with autobrightness off as well, but still no luck. Maybe I should try a different radio?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Noh I mean, does the screen lower brightness (a lot) when you got auto-brightness on?
Should be the proof that the light sensor is failing.
Otherwise... I really don't have any idea, if it's not rom-dependent... Dont think radio affects such stuff
Lol dude I didn't read that youre having the same issue even with screen turned off.. that's very weird Maybe you should call an exorcist.
The screen adjusts perfectly with autobrightness on so I guess that means the light sensor is ok.

Did you tried wiping cache, system, data and boot, including deleting dalvik cache?

Maybe dirt on the soft buttons - cleaned it ? Put a screen protection on it the same time ? Took out the battery for a while ? And btw. this is the wrong board for this. Your thread will surely go another way.
have you tried to flash a RUU? Imho it's the last resort to check if it's hardware or software related. (flash the 1.32 RUU cuz it's rootable)
I have now tried stock ruu, 2 different radios and 3 different roms. Still the same Guess it's hardware related then... I can see the button lights slightly dim when the screen turns off but they are still on and consuming battery as hell.
Holy ****e, i have the same problem! Anyone who could help us?!
Right so the best thing to do would be to install the RUU, put Eng-s-on and upgrade to the latest official software. That notificiation only appears if you have Eng-s-on. Then you should get in touch with your network or HTC for a replacement.
The other day I dropped my phone in some bushes face down. When I recovered it, it was hot from sun exposure. It was hot enough that CPU tuner entered extreme powersaver for the battery hot trigger. Now my display has this strange tealish cyan color where light colors, especially white, should be. It makes everything look screwed up. Otherwise, the phone works perfectly. I reflashed cm twice, however, even the screen with HTC in the center that shows before the cm splash screen on boot is all teal-ish. So I don't think its the rom. Any ideas? This is reply obnoxious.

Yeah just looked again not much help though. One guy sent sent his phone to HTC but I'd like to try and fix it myself and I can't go two weeks with no phone. Im just looking for opinions as to whether or not it is an LCD screen issue or a cable issue etc. If its one of those, I'll just fix it myself.

It seems that my screen is registring touches without me actually suching it. If portrait the problem seems to be at the upper right corner if the phone is in protrait mode. What do I have to change to fix it?
(I used Touch Test to see how it registers touches...)
replace digitizer if its hardware problem, if it a software problem flash a new rom after a full wipe

You say it may be a software problem: Has this happened before to other members?
I truley doubt if its a software problem, but go ahead and wipe everything the flash a different rom. if you problem still is present then spend 20$ on a new digitizer

Hey forum!
I've recently rooted and installed Cm 10 jelly bean. Since then my accelerometer stopped working.
I dont get any error message but the bubbles dont move on jelly bean or on my NAND Backup.
Does anyone know how to fix this without sending it off to htc?
Also does anyone know where you can calibrate g sensor on jelly bean?
Does it do the same on every rom you try? If yes, then somehow your sensor got broken.
It actually does on most is there any rom I should try?

I've never dropped my phone. I tried the akmd method but no luck. People also say I should try wipe rotation data but in my recovery I only have wipe battery stats in advanced but no rotation wipe :/

I just got android sensor and turns out my orientation sensor is broken too! Any suggestions?

If it does the same on all roms you try, then it's a hardware problem. Either a cable somehow got disconnected, or your sensors failed.
