When they swapped my fascinate for an incredible 2, they didn't include a Global SIM and i will be traveling out of the country for like 5 days this weekend, anyway...
i walked into a Verizon store yesterday and shortly after, a guy offered to help me, i told him that i have the inc2 which is global and needed the global SIM card for it, he replied that my phone wasn't a global phone, that i needed to call a 1-800 for them to send me one, i insisted that my phone was global and after 4 times insisting to him he said "wait" walked to one of the demo inc2 and looked at the specs and features, he said "oh ok so it is a Global phone"
then i asked again, so what about that global SIM card i need, he then called another associate and asked him about the SIM, the other associate replied, "but you need a global phone for that, the country that you're going uses GSM and you need a GSM phone, yours is CDMA" at that point i just gave up talking to both of them and left, aparently they don't know the very phones they sell.
Hahah what tards.

haha wow nice story. I personally think Verzion people are only hired to sell phones not know them or at least that's how I try to justify their ignorance. If you really want to get anything done you kinda have to call Verizon I'm sure they can set something up. Alternatively you can visit another store just make sure you report it to Verizon they give you free stuff and you might end up with a new phone.
The sales people at the stores are a giant mixed bag. The guy I bought my I2 from wasn't highly knowledgeable about the technology, but he knew the devices well enough to sell them, and was actually somewhat eager to hear some of my insights.
I've had worse luck with talking to people at the call centers.
You can just call Verizon and get an unlock code and use the sim of your choice from that country

yeah that's what i ended up doing.
Ha! I usually end up more knowledgable about the devices than the sales reps at my local store too (and that's not sayin much!) but this time around, when I bought my I2, I actually had a guy who recognized MIUI on my INC 1 that my daughter was inheriting from me. He gave me a nod and advised that if I ever have trouble, make sure I unroot before bringing the phone in....I said "yeah, gotcha "
new to verizon and the local corp. store has been really good. I did go to an "authorized retailer" once and they were retarded. My wife wanted to try the iphone4 since she had never had one and they told me that iphones didn't sell so they didn't stock them. They also told me that android was the only mobile OS that was good.
I laughed at them.
Apparently, they don't get much profit off the iphones, otherwise they would have had them.

As much as I am an Android fanboy, I'll still admit that iOS is a good mobile platform. The only two I'll really bash is Windows mobile and Blackberry OS. I haven't really messed with WebOS to really form an opinion about it.
As an employee of an Indirect sales location, I LOVE when people who frequent this site come in and try to "one-up" on phone knowledge. They may know certain phones better than me but as an avid android fanboy I play with all of them and check up into every phones forum just to see how its doing (root,ROMs,themes, reviews) The best way to find out if an associate knows what they are talking about ask them what real world Mbps they can get on 3g/4g and see the response.
It's usually a blank stare...
The ones here were thoroughly convinced that the Tbolt sim was compatible with global and vise versa with the Inc2. I walked out of the store while he was in mid sentence.
Another rep at a Verizon kiosk in the mall told me any Verizon phone will automatically convert to 4G OTA as soon as it comes out for us.
Store reps are idiots. Usually helpful and nice but they're dumb.
If I hear one more of those guys tell me I should download a task killer I'm going to burn the store down
Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
Hey, not all of us store reps are uneducated about the products we sell... but most are . I'l admit, I do enjoy when someone who knows at least a little bit about Android and just Verizon stuff in general comes in, but y'all'd really be surprised at how uneducated some of the people that come in are.
"What's an iPhone?"
In the middle of a city. True story.
Rule of thumb: if a rep knows what XDA is, he's not totally clueless. My regional manager likes to say there are three kinds of reps: sharks, techies and customer service. The sharks are the people that rock at sales, but don't know or care much about what they sell. The customer service makes sure all the customers stay happy and have their problems resolved. The techies make sure the other two stay out of trouble. There's a reason why 50+ reps in my area have me on their speed-dial, sadly.
Personally, I only buy phones from vz's site. Most of the Verizon stores are franchise's and are dumb people just selling phones.
I'm sure their are a few of you that now what your talking about, but its few.

I have a co worker and that's all she keeps doing. I keep telling her to root her phone and install a rom. However, she has had bad experiences with windows phones and is afraid. I keep telling her Android is different. The developers actually are very knowledgeable and create really great stuff. Hopefully, one day I can convince her. She has a t-moble LG G2x.

I work for Best Buy, we make about $15 off of each iPhone we sell... its pretty crappy. But what we don't make on the phone we make on the teenage girls who have to have a different case for each outfit they wear.
Someone mentioned call center troubles...I had a Droid 2 and I was just complaining to try and get them to authorize an early upgrade. I said it was slow...the lady on the phone told me that she's sure I can swap out the processor for a faster one from eBay. I gave up with phone support after that. LOL.
And here is where you say "cool story bro"...

Apparently most of these Verizon techs are clueless about the Inc2.. When I had convinced the tech over the phone to let me trade phones rather than do yet another warrenty claim on my Samsung Fascinate, he told me my options, and stated explicitly that the Droid Pro was the global phone. Then of course I looked up reviews and found out the Inc2 was a global phone as well.
So a nice feature I was getting that I had no idea about, because the tech apparently didn't know either.
im sure some of the customers are pretty uneducated, but i have yet to meet a store rep who actually knows their products or makes an earnest effort to help when i have a legitimate problem. i only go into the stores if i absolutely have to, it's always been a pretty awful experience lately. i've been with them for about 10 years, and i like my incredible II well enough, but I really regret going with them this time around. I think I have about one more bad experience in me before i call it a day, pay the etf and sign up with sprint.

For real. If Verizon gets this exclusively that'll be garbage.
Great, another outlet to throw away our privacy and give companies more of our information to use and sell, for the convenience of being quickly informed of when we can give them more of our money...
Lmao. I got duped on google nexus register. Samsung is sending advertiesments to me now. But no mention of nexus. The ole bait and switch just for advertising. Even lamer.
I voided my warranty and your nexus.

I am using a damn Samsung gravity. I sold my sensation for this crap. I am going to get amaze.
I just saw that. YOu know what? F*** google. They claim that they intend to do things differently, but then at the end of the day they sell out to the highest bidder.
I was a serious google fan, but the edges are starting to crack and it is slowly dawning on me that the innovative, fast moving company of the early 2000's is becoming a weighed down hegemony of bean counting MBA's who are starting to only get it right when they get lucky.
Exclusive on the most expensive carrier in the USA. The same carrier that replaced their search engine with Bing on 1/3 of their Android lineup. Not a word of it breathed at their week-late press conference. My own fault for getting my hopes up, I suppose.
I am due for a new phone around December/January and this will afford me the opportunity to take a good long look at what Windows phone has to offer before the Galaxy Nexus is even available to me.

Don't feel bad. Just remember one thing. Google is a business company. They don't care about me and you. They support whoever pay more. I am going to get SGS2 or HTC Amaze. I don't have a choice and can't wait longer than the end of nov which is my upgrade time.
i used to be with Tmo but had to switch cause i got stationed in Montana, and now im kinda glad i did, even though I loved the big T
If tmobile is going to get it, they will mention this at the event on Friday. we will see.
Relax. I highly doubt its anything more than a timed exclusive. Both the nexus one and nexus s were only on one carrier originally.
And yes, if you were planning on getting the international one, i'm pretty sure it will still work on AT&T or T-Mo as long as the bands match up.
Well if they're pentaband then you could just buy the world phone model at full price and go. I think it only affects those looking to pick it up on a contract.
It is weird Verizon having a Nexus. Seem to clash together but my work has Verizon so why pay for a personal line?
G2x - 2.3.7 CM7
Transformer - 3.2 Revolver OC/UV
Bet you when they are referring to the 'exclusive' Galaxy Nexus they are only talking about the LTE model and all the others will get the pentaband one at pretty much the same time.
Just had a thought... I know it doesn't say it, but... maybe it word play. I mean they will be the exclusive carrier of the LTE version, but remember there's too versions. Hhhuuummmm
Stupid Samsung, why can't you just release carrier info. when you unveil it.

I'm not gonna act like I'm not disappointed they have exclusively, especially since the other Nexus phones started as exclusive to one carrier as well. I wish they would just drop the whole exclusivity thing and make it available to everyone day one as exclusivity only really hurts the consumer. No way I'm switching to Verizon for this phone. I'll either import or wait for the GSM version to hit the US (if it's not that long of a wait). It's really bad for the phone's sales too considering in the world of smartphones, the next big release is always right around the corner and you will lose a lot of potential customers who will get something else because they don't feel like waiting anymore or something else hits the market. The average consumer doesn't know care about the Nexus brand, they care about new and noteworthy so why not try to rope them in while the iron is hot?

Hi all,
I keep looking at UK mobile operator websites and they have sections that say Upgrade to the IPhone 4s and so on which leads me to believe they are under contract to heavily push the IPhone above all else as if its better.
I also then noticed on the Vodafone site that the Lumia is on coming soon.
I believe that the Nexus is being held back till after both these launches and I believe that this is due to the operators being pushed by Apple and Microsoft. It seems sad that that Google either feels it doesn't need to do anything about this or is so complacent to think that marketing won't beat technical superiority. Betamax vs VHS proves this not to be true.
Anybody else noticed this or am I a conspiracy theorist of one
Cheers
Dred
Making a ton of cash off the iPhone isn't a conspiracy--it's business.

Maybe conspiracy is strong
But it seems to me that ICS seems to be put to the back of the queue.
There are more android phones than Iphone sales so I am not sure its business in that sense.
I would suggest they are being lent on in a way that google isnt doing.
You are prob right its business at the root of the cause but is it me or has anyone else experienced it.
The conspiracy theory makes sense but it could be any other reason. I think there is definitely something delaying things. Maybe last minute tweaks by Google.
In the UK it is coming out on O2. I'm not sure if O2 will put their crap on it or if they'll give us the stock Android.
I think it is a few last-minute tweaks. Like the launch of the Nexus S last year, there are always some tweaks and logistics to work out prior to launch. Also remember that the engineers seemed rather annoyed with the face unlock's refusal to cooperate during the announcement presentation, among other little things. These might be those teaks we are waiting on...
it's not just iphone 4s. it's also the droid bionic, razr, and for at&t, sgs2. they just released these well-equipped phones, but won't get a chance to sell them once the galaxy nexus comes out.
it's nothing more than carriers pushing sales for products they already have on the shelves today.
The other thing that might be note worthy is just like most apple fanboys, in or out of contract they'll buy it... Close to a big phone release tmobile always offers some of their best smart phones for better discounts to new customers/upgrades I think. In my opinion this is so they can get the people at launch of the much better phone to pay full price /shrugs that's what I've noticed at least.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Precisely why Verizon hasn't said much about the Galaxy Nexus in the US. They want to get as many iPhone sales as possible right now, there's nothing that can compare at the moment. I will most likely be leave VZW for an unlocked GSM version anyway.

Who do you think benefits from customers paying full price for their phones? The providers, like T-mobile and VZW? I always thought that all they cared about was getting you to sign a new 2yr contract... because I don't think they get a cut of an unsubsidized phone sale. I could be wrong though...
they just want people to buy the locked down crap so they come back later and pay full price for a nexus

I'm sure they get percent either way but if they've screwed you into contract with a lesser phone and can have you coming back for another phone in a month off contract they're doing pretty well for themselves. If they don't get a cut of an unsubsidized phone sale, then that means they don't get to pay less for a subsidized phone sale either, so either way the carrier is paying out of pocket for a phone subsidy.
Think about it this way, the phone manufacturer doesn't care whether you buy the phone from your carrier subsidized or unsubsidized, that means the manufacturer will charge the carrier the same price either way. So the difference between what the carrier makes from a subsidized phone sale and a unsubsidized phone sale is exactly the difference between the prices it charges you, regardless of how much of a cut they get from the phone sale.
This is, of course, ignoring more complicated revenue sharing and carrier branding schemes that might exist between a carrier and a manufacturer.
Shops and operators can be bought with money.
If you own a shop, and Microsoft/Nokia comes around to offer you the largest cash in return to putting Lumia at the shop front, and placing GNex waaaaay at the back next to the dust bin, course you'd take the money.

I partally agree but would google/samsung allow it and if so then they are properly cheap.
Also has this business thing happened or is it due to real world problems.
It looks fishy that the biggest android thing for a while seems to be getting buried and a spit
*Lumia* wash mouth out is on 'coming soon' on Vodafone but no GalaxyNexus.
Also would the operator potentially alienate their customers ? Are Android customers just wimps???
The reason for GN pushback is cause Sammy introducing Galaxy Note first (logistics reasons)
Or....they are releasing other phones with older android versions first to give them a small chance to sell before becoming near instantly obsoleted and sell tragically low amounts. That doesn't sound too unreasonable.
Steve Jobs, may he rest in peace, swore to destroy Android wich he hated more than anything, and adding to that the fact GN is a samsung, i'd not be suprised if Apple is paying alot of money to keep the media hype down. Just my little conspirecy theory

Anyone ever have just... an Incredibly (no pun intended) bad time with hardware?
Here I am on my 4th device in 13 months.
It started when I allowed a best buy mobile rep talk me into the moto x2.
Phone #1 had a bum USB dock that wouldn't transfer data.
X2 numero dos had a proclivity to stutter all the time...root fixed that but then the headphone jack comes loose and all is broken.
X2 #3 same as #2 for headphone jack issues.
I fought long and hard and vzw offered me a slew of 4g devices which I chose a droid charge from.
But oops, cannot change a 3g device for a 4g device on warranty so now I get to choose from a myriad of garbage moto phones (wow a droid 3 or original x!) Or an incredible 2.
Now here I am with an incredible 2.
This came after I was offered and early upgrade over Christmas which I said no to, because I was five months invested in my current phone, why should I spend another $200 five months in??
Instead I called retentions and complained loudly and I got a pre owned incredible 2.
This phone has been an absolute dream. Even stock it is faster than than the x2s dual core CPU.
But getting this device in January I was warned that I am still in the moto x2 warranty period ending July 5th.
July 6th my phone started overheating and my screen will not light up with any images, just a dull black which I can still unlock answer etc.
Yeah. Freaking July 6th.
Now it happens just having it in my pocket.when it cools down all is good again...
As a last resort today being out of warranty anyhow I took the phone apart entirely, I took the motherboard assembly off and used compressed air to blow as much as I could behind the heat sync but this is just a broken phone I suppose because after reassembly it still isn't working.
So..long story longer, I went to a corporate store and they tell me I have two options, pay $500+ for a new device or get a second line and change to share everything for $50 more per month...
Or call 611.. which I do.
They tell me that I can pay $500+ or add a line (it'd be an extra $600/year I remind him) and he says sorry.
He can offer me an early upgrade that I'm asking for in March.
I said to him gee thanks, you are not really helping me, the website tells me exactly the same thing. Derrrrr. Dumb.
Basically, i was offered an early upgrade in December by a lackwitted tier 2 tech support agent and now because I didn't have $200 for a phone I knew would be severely updated I am being shaken down for a new handset.
I'm pretty upset to be honest, as I spend over $130/month with these guys and they just won't work with me.
So the conversation ends with me saying that since att has their own 4g where I live and that makes them an option for me, let's do math:
See, previously Verizon was the only service here that worked well. now I hear that att 4g covers here quite well...
$230 to cancel Verizon early
$200 for a brand new phone on att
------
$430
Vs the $569.00 for a galaxy nexus I wanted to get for $99 early upgrade.
Actually less after I get $50-$100 for spare parts on eBay for this incredible 2...

So I bought this on August 7th and have had no issues with it. I plan to use it until its dead (2 or 3 more years). I love my dinc 2.
I don't see a good reason to upgrade, even if I could. The newer phones are just faster, and have better displays, NTM the short battery life and that they break in 6 months.

Welcome to Verizon my friend, I had to literally swear at a Verizon rep to replace my 3rd Droid X2 with the Inc2 and this was after they said they didn't have any available and I called them out because they had started a promo on their website THAT SAME DAY for inc2's. I swear they train their employees to not help customers at all.
Thanks so much for the replies guys.
honestly I love the phone...I wanted a galaxy nexus, and am offering to start my co tract over again on their new terms where it isn't unlimited.
These people should be happy that they get me on another two years of my life and now get to charge me more money for service.
You all would love how I ended the call;
(After pointing out they encouraged me to cancel vs helping me)
" Well I honestly hope that for quality reasons this call was recorded and you made notes so tomorrow when I call back they can know exactly why I'm cancelling service. Thanks for having me be a part of Verizon wireless and have a great day!"

Was the X2 really that bad of a phone?
I had to choose from the dinc 2 or the X2. I made a great choice

i had an almost identical experience with a past phone. this is my last vzw phone. their network is ok, but i resent having to root my phone to get rid of their garbage apps, their prices are absurd, and their customer service is a nightmare. im switching to a gsm iphone and going prepaid.

The x2 had major memory management issues for all of the 2.2 releases. It would not stream music, or play any music for that matter without skips, crackles, hiccups and pops.
The tegra 2 had NOTHING to do with it, aside from some pretty looking games (that always get ported to other devices) it would not use the second core anyhow as android 2.2 and 2.3 as far as i know do not use multi core cpus efficiently.
the hardware issues killed me. The headphone jack coming unsoldered TWICE is a poor build quality.
I've no idea if Google intends to put their name on a product that Moto makes after purchasing the mobility department but they should think twice because the ONLY phone i have read good reviews on is the Aria HD and thats one phone out of what... four years worth of handsets?

My problem is that I live in a largely rural area, but a town of around 20,000 that is covered by whatever Reno has.
If reno NV has LTE, we have it. If they have 3g, we have it.
But in lake tahoe you cannot build a new cellular tower due to environmental concerns, therefore you work with what you have.
Verizon has a great deal with the casinos in the area and therefore has coverage EVERYWHERE.
Like i said, i was TOLD that att and their LTE is much better than their 3g was, but i know for a fact people around here on ATT hate it.
Tmobile is a joke and works only on main drags of streets, and sprint is about as bad as Tmobile.
So as all the new networks come online they cannot build new towers here, just work with what they got. The broader spectrum of LTE seems to help the signal for ATT, and the coverage VZW has due to being the first provider gives them the best network over all.
Sucks... but yea.
Had 4 Droid x2s before my incredible2. Music always popped and phone would reboot randomly all the time. So glad I pushed Verizon until they gave me this phone. The problems it has are very little when compared to x2.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda premium
Yea the X2 had amazing potential but in the end it failed, locked boot loader, couldn't play music for sh*t, the 2nd core wasn't utilized very well, low graphic memory, etc, etc
That sucks man. I would look more into ATT if I were you. If it seems like the people you know have just as bad of experiences with them then i would just keep calling VZW until they offer you something better. I usually use a line like "I've been dealing with this issue for x amount of time and nobody that I have spoken with has even acknowledged the problems that I have already gone through! What can you do to make me feel like I should stay with your company?" Don't waste your breath on the regular care reps, the can't do much for you. Talk to loyalty/retentions. That line got me $400 worth of free products and movie channels when dish network lost amc and has worked on many other occasions. Shift the focus to all of the problems you have had with your phones and the fact that you don't feel like a valued customer instead of focussing just on the phone you have now.
Best of luck man. I hope this helps!

I don't think you have bad luck...I have replaced quite a few devices myself and never abuse them.
I do buy the insurance though thru vzw because I live in Vegas. It gets hot here and puts stress on the phones. I also change my synthetic oil every 5k instead of 8k because of the weather.
The good news is that if you want to stay on vzw you can buy on Craigslist to save a bit of money. Eventually when I feel there is a more solid phone I will do this (the latest phone has never been important to me)
Verizon has been terrible as of late. Another one of my family lines also has insurance and I don't even want to begin with the last issue i had with that claim.
In Vegas we have shops that can actually fix phones for you...have you considered this route?

I've been pretty fortunate, going from a D1 (that is still working - gave it to a friend in need) to the Inc2, and (knock on wood) have had no issues.

Yes and no... I can't be without the handset and have no other phone.
I remember Vegas. Cellular depot on sahara was great for fixing phones.
Yeah, I'm in lake Tahoe now. There aren't any repair shops here so sending out is what happens.
If this was an att phone popping a sim out would be easy.
Perhaps a trip to reno would find me a repair person... in the past I'd spend hours with the company arguing my point. Now I don't have time between work and family.

if anyone is still looking
So here are the end results.
1. Verizon did offer me an early upgrade last november or december.
-- And now because they "lost too much money" they have decided to stop early upgrades for users. So basically I am screwed in this regard. I found it laughable and even told the rep how Verizon posted over a BILLION DOLLAR PROFIT recently, she seemed like she had no idea what that even meant.
2. Even retentions is not willing to work with me on this. The circumstances are not allowing for it, according to the rep I spoke to (pretty much his exact wording)
3. They are offering this:
OPTION #1 - Get a certified pre owned device for $329 (this would be a motorola razr or less money would give me a bunch of garbage options)
OPTION #2 - Add a line, and this will give me the ability to get a new phone as a new contract phone. But of course adds about $600/year to my contract
OPTION #3 - Buy a new device off the internet, beware of stolen phones, apparently verizon keeps a blacklist of stolen devices.
OPTION #4 - Spend the $500+ on a new device from VZW new retail in box.
I am so frustrated. Guess that i am screwed. They dont care.
id probably leave verizon in your situation. though, id leave anyway, so maybe that suggestion is a little bit slanted.
if you aren't going to leave, id try to find something on ebay.

Yeah anytime a phone is reported lost or stolen the esn is blacklisted. If you buy one local (like Craigslist) make the person meet you at a VZW store so you can have them check the esn before you pay for it. If you buy one online make sure the place you buy it from is reputable and has some buyer protection built in.

Anyone know why Tmobile stopped carrying the HTC 10?
Due to the enormous failure of the m9 from last year and poor sales, tmobile stopped carrying htc devices in store. And now it seems they dont even carry them at all. Due to poor demand and low sales.

I figured as much. Thanks.
I highly doubt that lol. Sounds like a comment left by a samsung boy or samsung employee. This happened a while back it disappeared off their web site due to being out of stock then went back on. If you want to order one call tmobile and I"am sure you can place an order on the phone. And from what I know personally that tmobile stores are small so they may not carry many heck my area of Ohio does not even have a tmobile store for 50 miles because they basically have no service here in this area.

Actually no, I am an HTC fan. I have the m9 and m10. And low sales and low demand ARE the reason tmobile does not carry htc devices in store. Per several tmobile employees. I also live in Ohio and had to order mine online. Hopefully with the success of the 10, tmobile will start to carry them in store again.
Lol no. T-Mobile said it was a glitch and are looking to put it back on the site. Nothing to do with sale figures....no need to spread rumors.

They are likely just getting small amounts, they have been in limited quantities since launch often showing as back order with 8+ week shipping estimates. About two weeks back they popped back up showing as in stock and I was able to grab one, probably pulled the website listing when sold out. There may be a very small amount reserved for telesales department and worth the try if you really want one.

I've contacted both T-Mobile and HTC neither has a true answer. I reached out to head guy of T-Mobile and said he is unsure why. My guess is due to a possible manufacturing problem they couldn't keep up. T-Mobile didn't remove stock from stores they just never received a new shipment. There are several stores near me that has them.
I just got my HTC 10 from T Mobile last week. Online store. Traded my S7 Edge for it.

I doubt its poor sales or demand. I was trying to grab one from BestBuy yesterday, instore because their site is sold out, and the rep said they have zero at the warehouse and no BestBuy in Michigan or the five surrounding states have any in stock.
I saw him searching through the computer and the inventory everywhere was all zeros. They took so long to get them in I stopped checking for awhile and now they all dried up.
For the record, I need to purchase it via BestBuy credit which is why I was trying to go there.

I dont feel like replying to all of u so here goes.
First, If the website had a "glitch" dont you think they would fix it already? we are talking about a multi million dollars corporation not a mom and pop phone company. The news you reported regarding a "glitch" happen on july 20th, its august 7th now...so yea 17+ days and no fix?
Second, if the phone was low in stock they would still have the phone as an options, it would just be label as "back ordered", which highly unlikely since Samsung and Apple never ran into that problem when the phone has been out for several months.
Third, are you really surprise that the sales are bad? I mean cmon, this has been going on for years! you gotta be blind to not see it, HTC been losing money since HTC M7 and M8. all you gotta do is Google HTC stock ticker or Google HTC sales figures.
Fourth, I'm not a "sammy" fanboy as I do own an HTC 10 (I still do, I'm using it now till my S7 edge come back from repairs) and I did own an HTC one M8 as well as HTC HD2 and several other HTC product. I also own samsung, sony, apple and other phones. If you call people a Sammy fanboy then honestly what does that make you?
P.s be careful who you listen to in this thread, Lots of HTC employees in here. Cant blame them, if my jobs were on the line I would spread lies too.
I reached out to them asking if they were still selling it and if they planned to continue supporting the device with updates and got a response of:
"Hey Bill I hear you! I did some research with our teams here and I was not able to find anything indicating that we will not be supporting the HTC 10 It is currtently out of stock on our site, but we are planning on having it available again. We do not have any information yet when it will be available in stock again for order. Thanks again for checking with us on this! Let me know if there is anything else that I can take care of for you! *TimothyR"
I will say it's a bit concerning if they do get rid of it like this (like the Sony Xperia Z3 disappearing very unceremoniously from T-Mobile's site), we may also see no further updates of firmware, etc for the T-Mobile HTC 10 either, as I seem to remember them discontinuing updates on the Z3 after they stopped carrying that as well.
Only reason I am skeptical to believe them is that I've never seen a device that is "out of stock" just stop showing up on their site altogether. Usually it says "out of stock" with either a release time expected or "unknown"...

I can make my own assumption as well and negate what T-Mobile officially said regarding their site.
What if nobody bought it from T-Mobile because they instead bought it from HTC directly. Let's face it, what is the point of paying full price from T-Mobile when you can just buy it from HTC which comes with uh-oh. It's not like T-Mobile has any contract prices (subsidie) or promotions other than Jump anyway. It was available on HTC.com before T-Mobile anyways. Maybe T-Mobile knew that it couldn't really compete so that's why it included a few charger and case?

Your every day average consumer will purchase the device directly from their carrier and the thought of buying directly from the manufacturer never even crosses their mind. Furthermore, by purchasing from the carrier you are able to make payments and, like you mentioned, you're paying the same price anyway... would you rather pay ~$28/mo for 2 years or ~$700 all at once?

They both offer monthly installments. So maybe people shouldn't make assumptions and just pay attention to the facts, which was given by T-Mobile? I mean, what goes to show whose assumptions are correct when we don't have any facts for the matter?
The point I was making (and why I made that post) was what makes my assumptions any less credible than others who also make "claims" without knowing the actual, real reason.
Main point is: Be helpful and provide information when you know facts instead of misleading through assumptions. What if they buy an alternative to the 10 based on what was said, later to find out it was a glitch as they said. Now someone's assumption just costed that person several hundred dollars. I like to be considerate of others, especially when it comes to financial choices.

I don't see anything about making payments from HTC unless you're talking about PayPal Credit for which you'll pay interest on if you don't pay it off in a year rather than 2 years through the carrier.

You should not be spreading rumors as your just guessing and you have no facts to support one word of what you said so everything you said was 0% based on facts so you cant say this was due to low sales. And this whole thread should be deleted because its a statement saying tmobile stopped selling the Htc 10 and not saying I think they might have. When you list something like that your saying its true then you should have the facts to back it up and that documentation was not provided as until it is then it does not exist and is nothing more than an unsubstantiated rumor.
