no i have. but that was b4 i rooted my phone. i believe it only happened once. not sure what caused it though
No i have not experienced this issue on my DZ, and hopefully won't.
I had same prob b4. I updated the Radio and the prob is gone. try 2 upgrade your radio if u hv root.
I have not root my phone yet. But if tis still happening, I'll consider rooting it and get a radio upgrade and see if it helps.
anybody got tis problem after root?
michaeldesirez: mind to share which radio u're using now?
You can google "logcat to sd". this will create a log/error file on your sd but they can get quite large to look through if you let it run for long.
Have you tried a factory reset 1st?
ok. Done Factory Reset. Let's hope nothing happens again~

Hi there,
I'm having a problem with my Desire HD, its been rebooting itself occasionally, maybe once every 2-3 hours. I've got the latest recovery and latest radio, I've tried other ROMs and I'm still having this problem, other than that, it's great, so smooth and fast!
Can anyone help please?!
I'm very new to all this so please be patient.
Radio version is -26.04.02.17_M2
Cyanogen Version is: CyanogenMod-7-03022011-NIGHTLY-DesireHD
If you need any more information please let me know.
Thank you in advance
Try the cm7 release candidate 1 as that is more stable and not as buggy.....same thing really as nightly very minor changes aesthetically.
Right okay i will do. I had the exact same problem on the RC1 aswell .. But I'll try that and let you know..
Thanks for your help

Before flashing whatever you settle on, be sure to wipe /cache /dalvik-cache and /system from within clockwork recovery as it may be left over chaff in the directories causing the instability, BEWARE though this will wipe all your user data.
Yeah I will do,
Thanks Pal
It might be a hardware problem. I know there has been issues with the sim card slot. Make sure your sim is in securely and even secure it with a small piece of card or paper jammed in with it. This solved the problem on my friend's dhd. Hope this works for you. Please post your results.

Hi there everyone, just a quick update.
None of the other roms iv tried seem to be having an effect, and as for the memory card and sim issue.. Im doubtful as it never had any issues before i rooted it and put cyanogen on it.. my next step is to try a different radio.
Does anyone have any other suggestions??
Thanks.
Also i forgot to mention, it only appears to reboot when i recieve a message, but, only when there's a message and i havent opened it or unlocked it, when its been there for 5-10 minutes, then i'll press the unlock buttin and that's when it'll reboot. But it only ever does this when i press the unlock button..
Don't know if that's significant or not..
yeah, ive also noticed that it reboots ever as often..
i didnt take it on until i read this post..
also what ive noticed is that when it reboots, my keyboard setting goes back to default i.e. from swiftkey (which i have to set after it boots) to the android keyboard..
did anyone else come across this?. any suggestions?

So no root, and no stuff? How did the problems started?
If it's stock and keeps rebooting - a hardware fault is mostly a problem.

I concur, take it back for warranty. It might be that one of your games is acting up using more CPU for longer than it's supposed to, but it's a good reason to take it back. There have been many reports motherboard fault related.
I got the phone given to me in hoping to fix it

it running hboot 0.93
i tried to make a gold card but i dont no what to do next i get error status 7

Hi Folks!
My younger brother has a Wildfire that´s developed a most annoying behavior.
When using Google Navigation the GPS connection gets lost on occation. Seemingly without reason whatsoever.
Most of the time restarting Google Navigation will suffice but once in a while a reboot is required.
The phone uses stock rom 2.22.405.1 and is not rooted.
A hard reset hasn´t been attempted but probably will at some point if nothing else helps.
However before resorting to that kind of heavy handed trouble solving i´d like to ask if anyone has had a similar issue and perhaps know of a possible fix?
Regards
ELO
Hi. This is something new, haven't heard about anyone having this problem. I dont know if this will work for sure but the most issues with GPS can be solved by re-flashing your radio. First create a NANDroid (Backup) Then download your specific radio, put it in the root of your memory card, go into Rom Manager, and click on
"Reboot into Recovery"
Then just flash the .zip file you downloaded.
Hope this helps!
Radios:
3.35.15.31
3.35.19.25
3.35.20.10

OP's phone is not rooted, so this is not applicable. I can't seem to think of anything than a factory reset and a reflashing of your ROM's RUU. but, hopefully you get your answer before that.
Oh sorry I didn't see that part. I thought he said that the phone IS rooted. Sorry
Hi guys!
Thanks for the input. As this issue hasn't crept up before I'm beginning to wonder if it might be a hardware malfunction. I'll suggest a hard reset and if that doesn't do the trick we'll try to get it fixed under warranty.
I'll report back for the result of the hard reset.
Regards
ELO.

Hi all..
I recently got my HTC One X and unlocked the bootloader, installed Clockwordmod followed by flashing a couple of different ones to see which one I liked.. (All of them are snappy, feel & look great...)
Where the problem lies is when I try to play a game or watch a video (aka accessing the gpu) the system instantly freezes and then reboots..
This problem never occurred using the stock software only became apparent when I started using customs.
It happens with all games I've tried...
Problem is now what shall i do? I made the foolish error of not backing up my stock ICS.
My phone is unbranded, so perhaps I could use someone elses unbranded stock rom to revert back to?
Shall I unroot? Pretty bloody worried to be honest... what if i've broke it?
Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks in advance

Hey thanks for replying so fast.
I was just looking for what you suggested and cannot find it anywhere in the development section nor in the "everything htc one x" thread...
Am I being blind?
Also, do I just flash it like a normal room? (e.g. put it on my internal memory and flash through recovery?)
Thanks again

I'm sorry Adam but that link requires me to have 10 posts or more. It must be in a special section then?
I'm going to try and be helpful for a few posts instead of being lazy!

Thanks.. just realised this is the rom I am running on now and the problem is still persistent.
Just games and videos it seems.
I am not sure about superwipe..
I always wipe data & cache when I installed a new rom... different thing?
What do you think now?

Superwipe wipes the system as well, going between different ROMs without doing this may be the cause of your issues. Back up and try it out

Cool thanks, going to try it.
EDIT: haha, where the hell is superwipe?
Seems I can only find it for sensation?

Adam, thank you for helping this far.
I have completed a superwipe along with clearing cache and wiping data, reinstalling stock rom and no luck. the problem still occurs... open up a game and it instantly freezes and reboots itself.
Argh, my stomach feels rough...
What do you think i should do now?
edit: just a quick update, have tried various roms and the problem occurs in all. superwiped everytime as well. i think its a problem with the gpu...
in the mean time if anyone else could chime in with any ideas/help would be v.grateful..
otherwise should i send phone back?

If you send the phone for repairs HTC will claim the mainboard needs changing and try to charge you several hundred for it because your bootloader is unlocked.
Try going to settings>developer options and toggling force GPU rendering

Have tried this too, no luck.
Any other ideas? The phone works perfect apart from this...
It's a new contract phone and comes with a 30 day fault return, couldn't I unroot it and give that a go? Would they know?.
Bump for this one last time before I try and get it replaced.
Any thing else I can do?
Hi All,
I have 1 issue here where my Desire HD Keep Freezing while use. Whenever Im using any application, getting worse when play game etc.
Briefly, I can consider myself a heavy flasher, I like to test any new ROMs available here untill I got my SDCard full. To have clean SDCard, I formatted everything including SDCard using 4EXT. After the new ROMs flashed, I notice I got my phone freeze. All softkey and touchscreen not responding. But if I press power button off and on again (not reboot), all functioning well untill it got freeze again. Then I have to press the power button again.
These are few things that I've done suggested from google:
1. Enable USB debugging
2. Reinsert SDCard
3. Reformat SDCard through phone (not 4EXT) - in stock ROMs
4. Revert to stock.
It comes to my mind that this is related to rooting. So I revert everything to stock. format using stock ROMs. But the problem persist.
Need all expert and senior here to suggest anything that I can do to get my phone back. I missed killing my time by playing games on my DHD.
Thx in advance...
