Cyanogen 6.1.0-RC2 Internal Phone Storage. - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone.
Has anyone seen this?
I installed Cyanogen 6.1.0-RC2 on my Inc. and everything seems goo i have no problems and found i like this rom allot.
I then decided to downgrade to the latest Stable release 6.0.2 as per ROM Manager and at first all looked to be good until i tried to activate the usb storage so i can transfer files onto the phone. When i tried to do this the External SD card is fine but my PC asks me to format my Internal storage and im like... wtf???... eek! ROM Manager Restore back to RC2
Android:2.2.1
Baseband:2.15.00.07.28
Kernel:2.6.32.15
Build:FRG83

6.1 RC2 is stable as it gets...nps at all w/ it since it came out.
6.0.1 - was never really stable, as listed...
Cyanogen its better to read the comments from users, instead of goin by build labels.

Can't Read "Phone Storage" after CM6 RC3

Hi guys,
I'm having a problem with my Incredible. The other day I installed Cyanogenmod6 RC3 to give it a shot. I read the article about how the internal storage is not recognized and the adb command to auto-mount the storage on boot. I was able to do that and it worked nicely.
I decided CM6RC3 wasn't quite ready for me yet so I went back to my Nandroid backup of Froyo Sense and now all of a sudden my internal storage won't work. I can see it mounted in the same way that it was in CM, but my ringtones, notifications and pictures stored there aren't seen by the OS anymore.
Today I did the rooted version of the official OTA Froyo that was released and it's still no good. I did an internal storage format through the phone as well and it's still a no go.
Any other ideas? I'm stumped. Thanks for the help in advance guys!
Tim
Did you wipe everything from clockwork before you flashed?
Yes, I'm sorry I forgot to mention that. I wipe every time I install a ROM.
Also, just to be safe....I just removed my SD card and did everything in Clockwork that said anything about Wipe or Formatting anything.
I'm reinstalling the OS now.
No difference...still no good.
Well, figured it out. Apparently, the files were ok but the directories were dead. I deleted them and recreated new folders...dragged the new files in and voila!
I'm having the same problem how do you fix the directories for the phone storage.
Try removing the files and putting them onto your computer, format, manually make the folders again and copy your files back in...
Worked for me. Good luck.
how do you do that
my computer wont even find the phone storeage
Just worked for me. Saw it on the pc. You might have a different problem.
I had an issue with CM6 recently that almost bricked my phone. Internal partitions were corrupt. Thankfully I was able to recreate them through lots of ADB commands and a program called "parted".
I loved CM6 but it was too buggy, maybe in the future again.......

[Q] Having trouble changing themes

So I tried out a theme that was in beta using CM 6.0.2 and it had some issue with it (the battery icon wouldn't display) and so I simply reflashed to CM6 RC3 and tried another theme but now every time I try to install a theme I get boot loops (Ive been reflashing between themes) any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?
I had a similar issue where anything I was flashing would lead to a boot loop and I'd have to restore to my backup. One thing I did with what appears to be successful for now, I took my 8Gb mem card out, formatted a 2gb spare card on my comp, downloaded a stable rom onto said 2gb spare card, wiped data/cache/dalvik, flashed ROM and finally got my phone stable again, then I ran a backup on that card. With the 8gb card I moved all pictures/music/etc onto my comp, completely reformatted it on my comp, and inserted into the now stable phone and again ran another backup. Hopefully this helps. Good luck brother!

Liquid smooth rom not recognizing sd

After seeing some good reviews of the liquid smooth rom, I decided to try it out. I flashed 3.2 nightly 10-1-14 with gapps. Everything worked fine, there were no issues with the flashing.
Once it rebooted, i downloaded es file Explorer and noticed that it wasn't picking up my external SD card. I went to settings > storage and sure enough, it shows my internal storage but nothing mounted for external SD card. I clicked mount, it gives me the mounting SD card notice in the status bar, then nothing.
Has anyone else had this issue? And if so, what can I do to fix it?
I'm running the att model HTC one m8, obviously rooted, s-off with sunshine, twrp recovery.
I tried the nightly from 10-02 as well, still not working.

I have the same problem. Currently running CM 11 with no issues. FYI, I had same problem with Gummy Rom. Searched but cannot find a solution. Card has fat32 format.
I researched liquid smooth and saw that they only support fat32 now I think, so I took my old micro SD card, formatted it for fat32, and it works on liquid smooth.
I did change roms, however, and now am using dirty unicorns. It has turned out to be my favorite so far. I love the customization options

[Q] Oppo find 7 storage problems

I have a question about paranoid android on the Oppo find 7. I'm a noob when it comes to custom roms but I just can't stand color os. Anyways, I have been using cyanogenmod for a couple months now, and I decided to try paranoid android. The problem is that in cyanogenmod, when I went to apps in the settings, it showed my internal storage which is like 3 gb and sd card storage (which is the other partition i guess because i dont have an sd card) which was like 23 gb. On paranoid android it only shows that I have internal storage of 3gb, which means I can barely download anything without it filling up. Anyone understand what i'm talking about.
Thank you if u can help me out

CM13 exFat support

I just flashed the latest CM nightly for MM and when I put my SD card in the phone it says its corrupt. I do the reset with the phone to wipe it and after its done I only have 15MB instead of 64GB. Is there a manual fix for this or is it something I just have to wait for CM to do? I have the G3 D852 with latest TWRP.

It looks like you're going to have to wait for a long while to see exFAT get fixed, and yes, I am in the same boat as you are so I literally feel your pain, but that said, when the OS asks me to format the Samsung 64GB EVO microSD card, it gets formatted to FAT32, which is absolutely useless for large files that are more than 4GB, and I have a LOT of FAT32-UNFRIENDLY files that I need on my microSD card, so Android Marshmallow is officially off the cards for me until that problem is fixed.
I have the same problem.
When I format to swapable sd card, I end up in 16MB.
When I format it to internal storage, the formatting stucks at 20% and after a few minutes I get a toast message with "java.util.concurrent.timeoutexception blah blah" and I have to reformat the card on my computer.
Looks like moving on from 5.1 to 6 was one of my biggest mistakes since I have a smartphone.
//Edit
I see there is already a thread about this. Cheers!

Exact same boat as everyone here. 64gb card shows as 15mb. If I format it as internal storage, I get the timeout exception. Didn't even realize I was upgrading to cm13 when I hit the update through OTA. It's came in the same list as cm12.1 nightlies. Of course since I didn't realize I booted it up without flashing gapps for 6.0 and was stuck the entire day trying to wipe clean, flash and restore backups from titanium. Android wear doesn't function properly, BT pairings get deleted on every reboot, SD card is screwed, the list goes on. Such a silly way to include it through OTA update without any warning.
Good news folks!
For those users who have flashed finnq's CM13 nightlies (20151219 onwards), you can now use exFAT-formatted microSD cards - all you need to do is flash the Nebula Kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/kernel-nebulakernel-rev6-5-build20150715-t3161768
All this because I wanted to free up space to install Grim Fandango...
I backed up my Samsung 64 gb card on my laptop and then reformatted my card as internal so I could use AppMgr III to move apps over. Now, I'm stuck with my SD card saying "checking...", and it doesn't recognize the card on my laptop.
Any ideas?
Fixes coming....
There are proposed changes currently sitting in code review at CyanogenMod. The changes have not yet been approved or merged. Here is a ROM image for LG G3 d850 that includes the proposed changes to fix the exFAT problem as well as the GPS problem. They work for me. YMMV. Use at your own risk!
