I have the HTC RC-E100 headset and it works well with Windows Media Player, but my favourite media player is Conduits PocketPlayer (4.1), and the remote control options don't work with PocketPlayer.
Does anyone know if it's possible to set up PocketPlayer to be controlled by the in-line remote control buttons on the RC-E100 cable? (e.g. for volume, play/pause, FF/REW)
you should ask the authors of that software..

Have you tried to change the hotkeys from PocketPlayer?
Hey,
Looking for a music app to manage my music with that'll sync with my Desire.
I dual boot windows and ubuntu, so it doesn't matter which platform the software is for.
I know Windows media player will do it - but I don't like using it.
Really like itunes - but the current itunes software sync hacks are still pretty buggy - so am looking for an alternate app
Any recommendations would be great.
Cheers!

Saw that one nad would like to give it a go - but there's no way I can buy the $2.99 app as I only have a UK Maestro which is no longer accepted by google checkout (used to be!)

Hmmm... will have to have a look in to that - haven't used winamp in a while, but might be worth getting acquainted with it again - used to like it

The best for me, Media Monkey !
I'm liking double twist... syncs well with the desire, general playback is quite good and it has access to all my favourite podcasts
mediamonkey syncing works but isn't too brilliant with this phone... and it can't find my podcasts :S
Winamp next
You say that the current itunes sync hacks are buggy but I use a program called Itunes Agent that works great for me. To quote from their website:
"ITunes Agent is a tiny application which rests in your system tray, constantly looking for devices being connected to your system. If a device it recognizes is connected it enables you to manage it via a playlist in iTunes...When you are done modifying the list of tracks for your player you can synchronize it with two small mouse-clicks!"
I go into the application "MusicHub" and I get the message "Service not supported in your country"
Can I fix it?
I'm using the amazing rom "Bada-il". But I got the same magic in the europe original firmware
Something else

Use zune. Open zune, drag the music you want to your "collecions" then sync it with your device. It should have a walkthrough for you when you open Zune and click around.

He is talking about the app that is available in other countries. Nokia Music is only available in Europe at the moment.

Already exists, the chip needs to support it, the one on the XPS does only for HDMI IIRC.
