First thanks for all you do everydays
I'd like to know if someone knows how to change default music app in HTC Car Home. Indeed, i'd like to use Google Music but I can't change :/
Is there a mod or some change possible ?
Thanks a lot
Nobody's to help me ? Roooh so sad :/
I'm also really interested to see if someone can mod HTC Car in sense 4.0 to allow choice of music app (or just swap sense music app with Google Music). Any clever devs out there I can buy a beer?
Yes, me too. I just got my HTC One X and I only use Google Music and would really want to modify the Music in Car mode (useless in it's current form!)

U can try with this app
Music pro ( FREE APP)

it gives you tons of songs list which you can try to download and let them appear on HUB
When using a NON rooted HTC Desire Z with Power Amp (cannot remember which version of droid or Poweramp) and an 8gb micro SD card I was able to select which music I wanted to listen too via the 'Folder' view, as well as the horrid 'Libary' view.
Now I am using a rooted (no customer ROM) Samsung GT N7105 Note 2, Power Amp 1.0 build 230 Full version, and a 64gb micro SD card. When I navigate to 'folder' I am instructed to check box the locations I store my music to play with Power Amp. The problem is the locations to chose from are all folders from my internal storage only, nothing from the external storage is shown from me to check. I have been through all the obvious options and settings but nothing is having the desired affect. I have tried moving Power Amp to the SD card to see if this works an no....
If it is not possible can someone suggest a decent music player that has a simple folder browser view? One with a decent EQ, or an EQ app that works with another music player with a folder/broswer type view?
I listen to music through headphones mostly so the EQ app or feature doesnt need to work through the devices speaker.
Thanks.
may i suggest the Samsung default music player

Once I rooted the device I uninstalled all the samsung apps including the music hub, I simply assumed like the rest of the stock music players I have come across this would be useless for me! I have tried to get the music hub from the market but it demands I update to the latest version before it will allow me to use it, and unfortunatly the latest samsung hub app is not compatible with my device!
Any other suggestions?
Not the music hub. . The music Player

This is making me seem like far more of a noob than I really am but should this be on the play store? When searching Samsung music all I get thats relevant is the music hub!
Samsung music player... you might have removed along with music hub. . (My Indian firmware has no music hub as the features don't work in India. . My note 8 with german firmware has both music hub and player. .... the music player should be there with the same icon as the hub... making it easy to have been overlooked while it was removed by you)

thanks, turns out the stock player wasnt as bad as i thought . the EQ is a lil clumsy, but the thing that puts me off most is not autoplay/pause when connecting headphones. Used it for a few days atleast though.
Ive just installed a newer version of poweramp and its done the trick anyway!

So I was loving the look of the SW3, especially when Runkeeper released their beta version. However now I read that offline music is more difficult than it really needs to be?
Why haven't Sony got their own music player on there, surely it makes sense that a lot of people are going to want to use the watch for this?
Do you have to use Google Music or is there an alternative? Seems like everytime I decide this is the time to buy one, something else puts me off.
I use Spotify on the phone and then I control it from the watch. I have also uploaded about 100 song into the watch and tried to play it from watch to Sony SBH-20 bluetooth headphones but the sound is sometimes laggy although the distance between watch and receiver is under 1 meter. I have no another BT receiver except car radio which I was not able to connect (message Device is full - ?)
Has anybody similar issue?

I was browsing through the online manual of the SW3 and found the following tidbit:
To download a playlist using the Walkman® application
Make sure the battery level of your SmartWatch 3 is 70% or higher.
From the main application screen on your Android™ phone or tablet, find and tap Walkman.
To open the Walkman® home screen menu, find and tap Walkman.
Tap Playlists, then select the playlist that you want to download to your SmartWatch 3.
Drag the slider beside download to wearable in the appropriate direction to turn on the download playlist function. A card indicating the download progress appears on your SmartWatch 3.

My Walkman application doesn't support this yet, so probably an update of the Walkman application should take care of this.
If you sideload ES File Explorer (using the APK and ADB), you can load music using ADB and play it with the ES File Explorer built in music player, it works surprisingly well.
