Should i add bioscroll to Artemis Vanilla 2.0? (Coming soon!)

I can change touch.dll and add a few files to get bioscroll (not the cube) on the new vanilla rom. It would not slow the rom down or take any free memory away.
What you guys think?

All i want is a clean up to date rom, with GPS Photo and (bio)scrolling support. The HTC Home Plugin is very handy, but i can miss it.
I am sure if you make a rom which looks as the HTC original, WITH scrolling and GPS Photo support, lots of people would use it.
O yea, and please, dont make a black version... There are other colours, i like the Blue O2 premium you made, and used it quite a time.
little offtopic. Also, if there is a easy way (ala customizer) to put scrolling or other things in it would be great (even with a hard reset or something). Unfortunately its in the ROM (as ive been told) and therefore not possible(?).

what's exactly bioscroll?

Is BioScroll the thing which made my Artemis with your TouchFlo 2.0 ROM randomly scrolling up and down?

I say yes.
Maybe you could give an option to switch it on or off like Tom does in his ROM?

Well this is what i've done - disabled by default in true vaniila style - there is a smal cab in windows that enables it.
This stops having extra apps or control panels messing up the feel of vanilla
Total storage still 58.76mb and FAST as ever.

I can't wait vanilla 2.0 .I've very impression in vanilla 1.0 so much.

Also add the disconnect button when connected to the net via gprs

I never liked it much. My opinion is to remove it an give an option to install it later for everyone who likes it. Just as you said.

I agree to that also.

YES, keep it in 2.0.
With bioscroll, I can scroll with finger at anywhere with scrollbar. don't have to use stylus to scroll.
But I don't use cube often. maybe others do also.
Having Bioscroll alone without cube should make this ROM more popular.

DON`t install it ...everything installable on a later basis should be left out, is what i plea for! ....leave it customizable

Agreed, ive been told its only possible to add it to the rom, not to ad it afterwards.

Looking for a rom without mem leaks and battery drains

Is there a rom which does not have these 2 problems?
I don't care if it is official, cooked, lite, clean.
Up to now I've tried the official and the latest one from bepe.
The official seems to have the battery problem, and bepe's seems to have both.
Now I'm going to try ADW version 1.1 .
Please post your experiences concerning these two bugs so we can save time on flashing our devices constantly.

I am using AX3L 3.1.2.c Lite for some while now and have never experienced issues like these. (free memory stable at 28 MB and battery life beats 72 hours).

To me Mary 3.3.5 SL and AXEL 3.1.2.c Lite.
These are the ones I use over and over,battery is pretty good and so is memory,maybe someone doesn´t agree with me but this is just what I think or maybe is because of the third party apps I use.

I have this stupid doubt,long time ago in this forum was rumoured that one of the X-buttons was the reason of a battery leak.
Does anyone remember some of this or knows anything about?

What do you mean 'one of the X buttons'?

as I understand, the pdaviet rom has 3 big advantages:
*fixes the password and account corruption bug
* battery lasts more than other roms (but i'm still not satisfied)
* no memory drain
what other roms meet these specifications?
I'm very happy with this rom except from the fact that they always customize dialers, icons etc.
oh and video calling is not working (even if you change the dialer)

Sorry that´s what I call it it´s the app that we use when we tap the X it ends running the applications,windows media player etc....

The X button is window task manager or HTC task manager.....

Sorry widigol,I don´t know how to do it,this were old rumors posted in this forum long time ago....it was just a question in case someone remember.

I remember a battery drain due to SD Card... enabling its power management reduced the power drain.

I believe it was a setting... Some of the Rom's had the default set to minimize when tapping the "X" rather than close, switching the setting to Close on Tapping "X" resolved the problem of not keeping multiple applications constantly opened, thus many were reporting memory leaks... but it was probably just utilitizing too many resources...
However, new versions of the HTC Task Manager, can't really remember 2.xx or something had issues which did not save settings after tapping the "X".
I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to, but just my 2 cents... It's been awhile...

Diffrence Between 1.37 & 1.93 ROMS ??

hi might be stupid question but i wanna know what is the diffrence between 1.37 xxx & 1.93 xxx Roms ? i have 1.37.456.2 roms comes with my device is 1.93 much better than that ? or can i able to install that on my device .. Thanks in Adv .

i found the 1.93.xxx to be unbelivably fast compared to the 1.37, their are afiew transitions missing when browsing though touchflow 3d but it runs so much better i doubt you'll mind.
plus 1.93 has a quad band radio included i would highly reccomend
(you should be able to install this on your device as is, to play on safe side i would probably get hard spl first just incase, i was flashing 1.93 and computer went into standby, Hard SPL saved my phone)

It seems to be related to WM6.1 version

Also in new version the touchflo 3D does not have the fly in and fly out animation when you switch between taps.
Probably that is why it became faster.

I really miss the fly-in, fly-out transition animations.. I wonder why HTC couldn't find a way to keep them whilst having the wonderful speed of 1.93.xxx.x

I feel the same too. At least HTC could make it a optional setting that people could make their choice.

Well, on the 1.93 iGO8 isnt working...thats the other difference

iGO8 is working fine in Swift, Bepe and TLR 1.93 ROMs

I really mis the fly-in/fly-out to...I'm wondering why a 3D accelerated hardware device is not capable of doing such a 'easy'(?) thing like fly in, fly out without any lags....maybe it is just WM6, i don't know

The slide effects when moving left and right between tabs. Gone.

EDIT: Just saw a video on Ytube,and I have to say that that is the must horrible thing a have seen done in a rom update,I wanted to upgrade tomorrow ,but know I will not

First, its not a problem, it was disabled by HTC. Second the animation everyone is talking about is NOT in this video. Instead of the slider to move left and right, using your finger to motion, THAT animation is disabled.

add Weather location
Add a new weather location is much easier in 1.93.x

I had 1.93xxx ROM - yeah it´s really faster but I think it´s only due the missing animations. I went back to 1.37xxx ´cause I think that to optimalize system doesn´t mean to remove animations n effects.

After updates (several roms) no more alarm sounds!

I tried different roms and a common problem is that I lose my alarm sound! I just make an alarm, and at the alarmtime there is a 'reminder' but it doesn't make any noise nor vibrate.
I go into settings, 'sounds and noitifications', I turn on the sound and vibrate, test the sound with the play button (it works) then I set an alarm. It reminds me on-screen but makes no sound nor virbrate!
I hate it! Because of this simple thing I can't use any cooked rom, also the one from pistonripper (new 2.0 test) has the same problem!
I have 1.40 olinex, I flash, after flash i always do a full hard reset (including storage format). When I do a reset again it doesn't matter, it just doens't work!?
Anybody has an idea? I think there must be some missing files or links I don't know!

dont know why. can only say that i am using pinstonripper's too, and have no prob with the alarm. works like it should.

Sounds wired.. What about flashing to the officel 1.97 ? And see if it works ? If it don't, I maybe can find some of the files out of my diamond..

I have used official 1.37, 1.93 and then 1.96 (i like to stay up to date, especialy with official roms) and none of them gave any problems.
Just yesterday I tried the 2.0 official test rom and it gave me the alarm problem (it's a test so ok). But then I figured while i was flashing anyway I might as well try some other roms.
AZTOR: alarm works

Hmm. Will upload them later.

The 2.0 is really good, it's omg superfast! So i download some alarm program which does the trick (temporary). I hope 2.0 will get released officialy very fast.

i also had the same problem and tried all sorts of roms and couldnt get it to work
However, i dont think i was looking in the right place like you are and here is why: the alarm sound is not actually in the sound settings (as you were looking at Reminders). I noticed that when you are on the alarm options, click the alarm and you can set all the sound properties etc there (different to Sounds and Notifications)
Alarm is confirmed working on Dia Duit pre9,
Which is also a blazing fast ROM with good battery life (2-4 days at least)

ive noticed that its not working really smooth on my device, somehow its stutters alot, when im changing screens its goes slowly and not like i saw on the vids.

im using also the taskbar icones changer. can that be the problem?

I installed it and it works great and smooth just like the video !! my Rom is the latest WWE ROM for HK (1.19).
What is your ROM ? I returned to stock rom after I tried all Roms for Dutty, David, Panosha !! each one of the have a certain bug and at the end you have to restart your phone at least every two days !!! while on any stock Rom i managed to reach 5 days without a restart !!!
My brother have nokia 5800 and keep laughing at me as my phone sometimes does not ring and I miss the call (this was with Dutty's rom 1.7) !!!
Use any stock Rom and install SPB and you will see that you wont need any custom Rom as it does everything you need !

do you have tryed the rom from NRGZ28?because this rom im certain is much faster and even stable as your stock rom

no one can make a ROM which is better than the origional company, Manufacturers spend millions and have hundreds of engineers and developers to test and debug their ROM !! do you think that one person sitting at home can do a better Job ? All custom roms is just the same rom with some playing with the settings and registry and bringing some parts from here and there and offcourse its worst than the origional !!! as you see they are producing a diiferent version every few days without waiting for the people to use the previous version and report bugs!!!
I was fedup with Dutty's Corrupted ringing tone message that nobody could solve!
With stock rom, allways my phone rings and alerts me for incoming messages.

im certain that energy rom go faster as your stock rom made by Manufacturers spend millions and have hundreds of engineers and developers...the customs roms here are more beautifull to,stock roms is perfect to make customized other roms

not smooth at all. on programs and on contact.
there is a way to fix it?

Well i guess it happens on the stock ROMS.
im using 1.19.831.0 WWE ROM.

first of all spb ms3 is a program/user interface,its not a rom!!
and you can always go back to tf3d,or better,use it together.
when you exit ms3 you go right back to tf3d i do it all the time

why does it works like Crysis PC game on very old Video card?

it has nothing to do with your themes
its the taskbar icons, i guess you are using WA3 or a cab file addon with icons for the taskbar? this is what made my hd stutter to. when using different taskbar icons and ms3 made my hd very slow and i get strange behaviour with calls and in or out plugging the usb cable. after i uninstalled the tasbar icons everything was fine,so for me that was the problem,the taskbar.

i did checked it right now, i deleted my Taskbar icons and still, working slow as it was before...
i have allot of stuff installed but i deleted them and still they are in the "add / remove programs", everytime i try to delete them it tells me that the program was not fully removed. i dont know how to make it go away.
PAMAs transparant slider / bricks and bottom bar...i dont know if thos have any effects on my HD.

i am testing on SPB mobile shell 3. do you guys know how to remove the contact from the Favourite? When i tried to remove, it will not only remove the Contact, but also remove the "square box" from the the Favourite.
To add back the "square box", i have to click "Add New Contact", then the square box will come back, but the square box is coming back with the Contact.I only want the empty square box without any contact inside. how?
