Should i add bioscroll to Artemis Vanilla 2.0? (Coming soon!)

I can change touch.dll and add a few files to get bioscroll (not the cube) on the new vanilla rom. It would not slow the rom down or take any free memory away.
What you guys think?

All i want is a clean up to date rom, with GPS Photo and (bio)scrolling support. The HTC Home Plugin is very handy, but i can miss it.
I am sure if you make a rom which looks as the HTC original, WITH scrolling and GPS Photo support, lots of people would use it.
O yea, and please, dont make a black version... There are other colours, i like the Blue O2 premium you made, and used it quite a time.
little offtopic. Also, if there is a easy way (ala customizer) to put scrolling or other things in it would be great (even with a hard reset or something). Unfortunately its in the ROM (as ive been told) and therefore not possible(?).

what's exactly bioscroll?

Is BioScroll the thing which made my Artemis with your TouchFlo 2.0 ROM randomly scrolling up and down?

I say yes.
Maybe you could give an option to switch it on or off like Tom does in his ROM?

Well this is what i've done - disabled by default in true vaniila style - there is a smal cab in windows that enables it.
This stops having extra apps or control panels messing up the feel of vanilla
Total storage still 58.76mb and FAST as ever.

I can't wait vanilla 2.0 .I've very impression in vanilla 1.0 so much.

Also add the disconnect button when connected to the net via gprs

I never liked it much. My opinion is to remove it an give an option to install it later for everyone who likes it. Just as you said.

YES, keep it in 2.0.
With bioscroll, I can scroll with finger at anywhere with scrollbar. don't have to use stylus to scroll.
But I don't use cube often. maybe others do also.
Having Bioscroll alone without cube should make this ROM more popular.

DON`t install it ...everything installable on a later basis should be left out, is what i plea for! ....leave it customizable

Agreed, ive been told its only possible to add it to the rom, not to ad it afterwards.

[REQUEST] New HTC ALBUM C-A-B..??

I wonder if anyone can help and provide a cab for the new htc album (with iphone like picture switching-plus its waaaay faster than the default old one..)
I want to use it with some roms that dont include it!! (old manila..!!)
Many many people that still on stock roms would also find this very helpful!!

But i flash a new rom every two days..!!! its gone out of control..i had my hd doing everything right but not being what it is..a phone!! (tons of problems answering calls with s2u2 caller id over new rodium dialer-which sucks-same s*** with resco contact manager which freezes every now and then in the newer builds..etc etc!!)
So i said i'll stick a while with a stock rom or 6.5..(6.5 after trying is out of the question..even with the 202 build..)
I found davideuck v7 and thought ok..give it a shot! And its amazing ..! AND RELIABLE!.. but with the "default" album..! which sucked from day 1 .. When you try the new one though you JUST CANT go back! So i wanted to know if its possible to have it VIA CAB!! Reflashing is not always a good thing to do cause for me its like 5 hours or so..(all apps from scrath etc..)
SO PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP...!! stock rom people would also love this!!

installed ok, soft reset. i can see pics but when i am trying to scroll..it freezes

Same happens on my device. Using Davideuck 6.5 V6.

I think the fact that its Duttys own cab for his roms means its most likely not going to work on any other roms but his!

After a lot of search i found many builds of the 3xx version of the album!!!BUT ALL PORTED FOR DIAMOND .. (vga) No one has the original wvga one ???
(if it can be found as cab could also be used in davideucks 6.5 v6.. dave said he will cook a build with it in the rom but a cab would be nicer for all!)

If anyone can tell me what this "new album" is I could make a cab. Right now I'm using a self-cooked ROM with Album version 3_0_19131221_0, and seriously think about recooking the ROM to include the stock Blackstone one.

Its fast..!! The new album is the version you are using, with the iphone style and smootheness changing between pictures.. Its from rhodium as far as i know..

Whether it's fast or slow depends on a lot of things apparently, it's very slow in this ROM and was fast in my previous one.
It works the same way as the old one in terms of transition between pictures anyway. And on the downside it doesn't rotate pictures.

So we are not talking about the same album! You would have seen so much difference that you could never go back to an older version! even with the limitation in zoom levels!

I think we are talking about the same Album. It was very fast in my previous ROM.
I can easily go back to anything though. I just don't care about viewing pictures too much. And even less so about whether it's like the Jesus Phone or not.

Can someone then port it from duttys 2.6 for example, so it can be usable with every rom..?? or at least of the same build?

New CAB sucks! I want the original! Where can I get the original! I love the circle to zoom that would zoom an image of a photo that was almost too small to see on the phone so close and in crystal clarity! This new album SUCKS! 1 level of zoom and it's damn grainy! Way grainy! Not crystal clear at all.

+1 with Molitar, I prefer the old one. On Blackstone we do not have hardware zoombar.

I found an $8 software called Kai's Deinstaller.. it actually worked after the update from the 1D. I ran it and back to the older album

Any progress on this? I could do with an up-to-date album on the rom I use...

ive noticed that its not working really smooth on my device, somehow its stutters alot, when im changing screens its goes slowly and not like i saw on the vids.

What is your ROM ? I returned to stock rom after I tried all Roms for Dutty, David, Panosha !! each one of the have a certain bug and at the end you have to restart your phone at least every two days !!! while on any stock Rom i managed to reach 5 days without a restart !!!
My brother have nokia 5800 and keep laughing at me as my phone sometimes does not ring and I miss the call (this was with Dutty's rom 1.7) !!!
Use any stock Rom and install SPB and you will see that you wont need any custom Rom as it does everything you need !

do you have tryed the rom from NRGZ28?because this rom im certain is much faster and even stable as your stock rom

no one can make a ROM which is better than the origional company, Manufacturers spend millions and have hundreds of engineers and developers to test and debug their ROM !! do you think that one person sitting at home can do a better Job ? All custom roms is just the same rom with some playing with the settings and registry and bringing some parts from here and there and offcourse its worst than the origional !!! as you see they are producing a diiferent version every few days without waiting for the people to use the previous version and report bugs!!!
I was fedup with Dutty's Corrupted ringing tone message that nobody could solve!
With stock rom, allways my phone rings and alerts me for incoming messages.
I think the best thing is to bring origional stock ROM and customize it with MSVC and other softwares without playing with the setting and registry !!!

im certain that energy rom go faster as your stock rom made by Manufacturers spend millions and have hundreds of engineers and developers...the customs roms here are more beautifull to,stock roms is perfect to make customized other roms

first of all spb ms3 is a program/user interface,its not a rom!!
and you can always go back to tf3d,or better,use it together.
when you exit ms3 you go right back to tf3d i do it all the time

its the taskbar icons, i guess you are using WA3 or a cab file addon with icons for the taskbar? this is what made my hd stutter to. when using different taskbar icons and ms3 made my hd very slow and i get strange behaviour with calls and in or out plugging the usb cable. after i uninstalled the tasbar icons everything was fine,so for me that was the problem,the taskbar.

i did checked it right now, i deleted my Taskbar icons and still, working slow as it was before...
i have allot of stuff installed but i deleted them and still they are in the "add / remove programs", everytime i try to delete them it tells me that the program was not fully removed. i dont know how to make it go away.
PAMAs transparant slider / bricks and bottom bar...i dont know if thos have any effects on my HD.

i am testing on SPB mobile shell 3. do you guys know how to remove the contact from the Favourite? When i tried to remove, it will not only remove the Contact, but also remove the "square box" from the the Favourite.
To add back the "square box", i have to click "Add New Contact", then the square box will come back, but the square box is coming back with the Contact.I only want the empty square box without any contact inside. how?

Why is my phone so slow!!!

is it too much to ask for my phone to load something up in no more than 2 seconds??
im running on the wm 6.5, im using the "windows default" ROM (if thats even the right word for going into settings>today>items and unchecking HTC sense) its just that it really pisses me off when im bout to text someone and i hit the compose button and it takes up to 5 mins to load up the screen. or when im getting a new friend or clients number and i have to tell them to wait for my address book to show up on the screen
any help would be greatly appreciated

Build your own ROM. I'm currently using WM 6.1 and everything loads extremely quick. PIE is up instantly and new contacts or txt messages take less than 2 seconds to load.

Your phone is slow because of the underpowered, obsolete Qualcomm MSM7xxx processor powering your WVGA device, coupled with bloated software. Custom ROMs are an easy improvement, as they often have many integrated tweaks for speed. There are some other easy tweaks found around the forum which will help speed up the device, but don't expect it to ever run like an HD2.

yeah, i'm using the "Energy" rom. pretty fast, and it's even more stable.
However; it's not fast enough.. Is there a programm (name??) to tune my Processor?

im on stock rom and my phone is very fast n slick, of course with some help from xda..lmao if u want to speed up stock rom, get and install these cabs: Tilt 2 data fix, SD tune up, no push internet, dynamic resource proxy, and the memory leak mod. all of these i found thru this forum. its night and day difference in how fast everything is. easy installs. i also have the atm dng 3d driver installed..that really helped the UI to make it slick. also get crud scraper, which i have. it deletes any and all traces of at&t bloatware or any carrier bloatware. actually, u need to do that first..delete all bloatware, u dont need a custom rom to eliminate bloatware. if all else fails, then flash a new rom cuz that requires the most for u to do. n remember, all of these things can be found right here on xda, no matter which route u tke. these stock roms arent as bad as people make them seem..at least not all the roms..juss like people, no device is perfect ;P some TLC will get ya up to speed.

thanx guys.. i guess it sounds like i should look into some ROMS. if anyone knows of a simple but good one please let me kno. I've tried SBP mobile shell and while it looks cool, its just too much. i dont need fancy animations, just something that looks need and that works.. if that makes sense.. :/

i agree that wm6.5 on the tp2 is rediculously slow and freezes, that is why I upgraded back to wm6.1...

im posting frm device so cant post links or dont know how yet thru android..lol if no one comes with the links, just use the search here. theres a cab i saw sir phunk post in the general thread, thats called TP2 welcome basket ..it has the no push internet and dynamic resource proxy in it. the data fix, memory leak mod, sd tune up can be found(i believe) through the search. i got all of them here frm xda. the atm dng 3d driver isnt needed but seemed to speed up and smooth out the tf3d UI a lot. srry dont hve links installing those is easier thn flashing a new rom and u dont void ur warranty
ill be flashing a new rom eventually, not for speed, but to see some different set ups. stock rom is good enuff for me..........for now............... u just have to do the homework n find a good reliable new rom to flash or try what i did(which was recommended to me by veteran members). it wrked out for my tilt2.
now that i think about it, someone, who knows how..lol, should put all of those together in a zip file package or something. along with crud scraper to get rid of bloatware. and post it to the apps thread. like a startup kit to get ur phone up to speed b4 flashing new roms eventually. i aint gnna lie though, im leary at the moment on flashing, but im gaining more confidence on it. i did the homewrk n have all the files, hardspl and energy rom. i just havent flashed yet. i forgot da radio..lmao see..lol whichever route u take, u cant go wrong buddy.

Try the Titanium version of Energy. I use the Sense versions myself (and love it), so I can't personally speak for the Titanium version. But NRGZ28 cooks great stuff, very fast and stable. I don't think you will be disappointing.

no prob n thank uuu...i didnt have the sktools...but now i do..lol the neo driver pack is good but i found the atm dng to be a bit more stable with the tilt 2..i tried out the Neo Pack, atm dng, and the opengl(might b mispelled) one. atm dng 3d driver showed the best n most consistent results. Neo did too but atm dng edged it out more by a lil.
also dont forget the Data Fix cab.. glad i could help..

my friend bro has the sprint tp2 with 6.1. i didnt like it...but i know he didnt tweak it all the way...hes gettin tweaks from me and wants to upgrade to 6.5......going back down to 6.1 is a downgrade im sure 6.1 is fast also, with tweaks

How many contacts do you have? I have over 5k and it makes my phone act just as you described. If I remove my contact list, it gets a lot faster.
Does anyone else have this problem. Even when I hang up from a phone call the phone is unresponsive for as long as a minute.

Good lord, you know a lot of people.

I use my phone for business and being in sales means I have lots of contacts. I'm sure I could parse it down to 1k or so most likely used contacts but that would take rediculous amounts of time.

[Q] Tilt 2 Installed new ROM. Hate it. Can I go back to Original Shipped ROM?

I installed the new Tilt 2 ROM 5.2.21887 (Aug 30/2010) I HATE IT
I'm a nuvee about ROMs.
I have this file HTCTilt2ATTOriginalShipROM.exe can I *just* run it like I did with the new ROM to go back to the orinal shipped ROM?
I called HTC they said NO. Idon't believe them.

You don't need to HardSPL to flash an official ROM (for your specific carrier). The original shipped ROM will flash fine.

You don't need to HardSPL to flash an official ROM (for your specific carrier). The original shipped ROM will flash fine.

Thanks to redpoint73 and all of you guys at XDA.
My only hesitation is becasue de guy at HTC said NO!. (What does he know!)
Summary:
I had original tllt2 ROM.
I just ran the new Updated ROM. no HardSPL (I don't even know what's that)
I don't like the new ROM (only good thing is Videos run smoother)
I had the original ROM file .
Question: RUNning this file is the same as Flashing? (Sorry I'm really noobie)

ah ok. thought you cant go back to a older rom. (Thats what O2 told me thats why i started to use a custom rom)

yes its the same.. if u have the original u r fine, just run it like u ran the update. since HTC took the original rom off there site just let me know i can up load it for u..

Fortunatelly I have a file HTCTilt2ATTOriginalShipROM.exe I don't remember how I got it (maybe HTC) but I'm sure is the original.
The only question is that the original ROM was about 8/09 and I believe it was a fix patch on 12/09. I bought my Tilt2 on 4/10 so I don't know if I have to install the patch plus I don't know what kind of patch it was.

yeh the original had some hotfixes, and yes since u flashed it u need to reinstall them. ill attach. i think thats what ur sayin.? there are 2 of them i rared them, if u need em zipped let me know. just unrar them, put em on ur phone, them run them with file explorer. one is for sms and the other is for callerid

Just curious, what didn't you like about the new ROM? I DLd id today and was thinking about installing it. I've had an issue lately where the time gets thrown off, doesn't seem to sunc properly, and I thought this new ROM might address that issue.

Read the oter posts about the new tilt 2 rom.. there is a couple things that suck. I dont like that it dont have the mini task mannager at the top right where it tells u how much memory is free and beable to close app without haven to open the task manager. It dont have arc messaging client, it has HTC message client, and i dont like how it runs, its really slow. the rom itself is fast, it dont show notifications on the home screen , u have to click on the top taskbar to see if u have a missed call and what ever, also the first thing u need to do is install .net 3.0 before u don anything then u need to do a registry edit to get .net to work right.. There is some other things i dont like about it, thats y im not usen it.. wildchild has made a nice update of this new rom, that fixed alot of things that werent right.. but read the form here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737168 then ull get a better view on this about this rom, whether u want it or not. But the best way to deside if u like it or not is to flash it and try it. Make sure u have the original rom just incase u dont like it. If u dont i have a copy and could upload to hotfile or somethin

also u could do a hard reset if u are haven trouble with the phone and c if that helps with ur probs..

1-Besides the above items let me add that the deal breaker for me was they reduced the text input keyboard from 6 or 7 to just 3. No more letter recognition, or handwriting or my preferred method, block recognition. I know is not popular, but I love it becuse it's almost impossible to mistype, it the faster way for me, I use my finger or the stylus and the big plus is it doesn't cover the screen! and I don't even have to look at the screen! The current keyboard covers more than half of the scree and in landscape mode it cover almost all the scree, just one line visible at the top. But the worst thing is that even if I am using the hardware keyboaard it pops over and over again.
2- HTCalbum.exe is just useless. in the Photo and Video tab, if I press "album" to change the albums or to see the grid, it opens the grid view for 1 or 2 seconds and returns to swipe view. If I'm quick enough to press the album key it shows the list of albums but it freezes for a while and returns back again to the swipe mode. The I get an error message from Microsoft with a link to report the error when I press the it asks for Wifi connection. And even if I exit the error message keeps poping up
Internet is definitely slower.
I couldn't find a way to add programs to the WM6 Star menu icons and Sense only allows 9.
How you can see the list of ALL PROGRAMS??
On the good side FM reception is a lot better
The one thing that is noticible better is that finally the the video play is very smooth (sigh) I'm going to miss that because I moving back to the original ROM.

try wildchild rom, its an upgrade from this rom, and alot of probs he has fixed, its a really nice rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=738179&highlight=upgrade
