Public Apologies to Olipro

It happened what I feared...the purpose of my 3d was completely misunderstood ( maybe because I'm not mothertongue English?).
I have absolutely nothing against Olipro , infact when I wrote he might have been the "culprit" I wrote culprit between " "...
I think he is a great guy even if I don't know him in the flesh and I completely trust him , proof is that I flashed his boot loader myself too...
I was just trying to understand which common points are there between all of us experiencing the SOD and I thought, from the very little that I know , that this could have been a possibility but if you read my 3d you'll find that I'm doing also other considerations so , in my opinion , closing it so quickly wasn't after all a good idea.
But this is life , Olipro is correctly consider a guru inside here and I'm nothing so i can understand all this reaction to protect him even if my intentions have been over looked because as I already wrote it was not my will to offend him or his job which is always great. I just wanted to break the discussion concerning the SOD which is always rotating around the same things and possible culprits and in this way we haven't reached very much so far...
I'm confident that Olipro didn't get upset after my message, I don't see a reason why others should do.

Uh!...by the way, To answer to Bram87 I also did flash the new official WM6release from HTC but it didn't solve the issue I'm afraid.

FYI: I'm using Olipros Bootloader since some months and I flashed at about 15 Roms and I never had a SOD.
Conclusion: Olipro ist NOT causing SOD'S.

Oh yes, many of them... the same third party apps that I installed soon after I bought the tytn and didn't give me the SOD , including Wisbar and SPB software including mobile shell...

Then you really should read up on your problem.
Most of the sleep of death issues have been identified as caused by third party apps.
Sounds to me like you are either using an application that simply isnt compatible with WM6 or you haven't downloaded the latest versions (SPB particularly, you need the latest updates).

When you bought your device it came with WM5. Most of the apps are designed for WM5 and some of them are causing troubles with WM6.
If you want to check out which apps are causing troubles flash a rom and run it without any app for some days. Then start to install one app after the other and test every app carefully.
As I told you above: I never had a SOD even though I've installed Olipros bootloader

I'm glad to find that Olipro bootloader didn't ease the SOD thing...
I already did the kind of troubleshooting you suggested me without being able to isolate the problem.
My SOD started with WM5 and I decided to upgrade to WM6 for this reason but now it's back again!!!

Now I don't have any SPB software acting in the background installed and I had the latest SOD one hour ago... Wisbar still onboard but auto start disabled and not running at the moment...

I just downloaded the file...It's a different one from the other that I got out of Rapidshare...I will decide in the next days after testing some more the one that I have now... In case I need to flash the dopod one, do I need to remap the keyboard as I remember to have read somewhere or it's just flash it/use it? If yes can you point me out where to get directions or if short can you post how you did?

I thought it had been agreed that SOD was caused by the messenging app (mail) set to check mail regularly. I had SOD when this was set and also when I had it checking an exchange account (Mail2web).
I check mail manualy now and my tytn has been extremely stable. I have not had SOD for months.
using LVSW 19-5-07 (elf edition)

Looks like the Toshiba G900 is having sleep of death issues too. So, I think it is pretty safe to that Olipro is not the cause of the SOD. Hopefully someone can nail down the real cause of SOD soon as it seems to be a widespread issue that doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason.

Personally, my ollllld SOD issues were SD card related, exchange with retrieving items as they arrive has worked flawlessly for months now, I dont think there is one determining factor for the SOD's.
Since I see this thread is about Olipro, where is he nowdays, I never see him on the board, but then again I dont visit the other sections much.

One thing I noticed and it could be a coincidence...my SOD went away after I got rid of (unchecked) encryption. Just a thought...

I had a few SOD's back on Black 1.2 and I believe that was a Storage Card/apps issue. With Black Majik, I've never had a SOD and I run the same apps in the same manner I did from 1.2 with a few minor exceptions. One, I got rid of WAD. As great as it looks, it slows the device down and was a constant SR issue. Most of my main apps that need to constantly run I have stored to the device and NOT the storage card, so that too may be a hint as to why the SOD may occur. Do I think we'll ever narrow it down to a specific thing? No, cause I beleive many different things can cause it, and as all of our devices are unique, then it's up to each of us to work-out the SOD issue on our own with some of these threads as advice. I'm happy with my setup now and the SOD is a non issue.

The HTC Rom branded as pre-release (OS Build 1238 so far i remember) is known to have SOD.
Just avoid this rom and flash to another.

thats not true, i am using this rom all day long and it is actualy super, it is very light and at the same time it has every thing i need.
so people, no bugs at all.
it is super fast with alot of free memory in the storage

I can second that - remember to hard reset!
However - you have to life with the not working SSmaPa (as for most HD Roms). But the rest is fine.

well as i said, it has every thing i need, i dont use to much third party apps, but even if i wanted to use, then u have a lot of options to use, in stead of ssmapa, i could use vj`s application for replacing the default calendar or something similar.
after all, every single rom in here has a bug or two.
there is no perfect rom, even the official htc releases have bugs

some small bugs and speed could be better, but is not that bad.

i have never used ttmax´s roms, this is the first one, and i must say i really LOVE IT
but these words "is not that bad" is very rude from you.
have u ever tried to make a rom?
and than comes some one and tells to your very hard work (witch you dont get paid for that, he shares to every one) its not that bad. i am 100 percent sure u didnt even try this rom,

No Internet over 3G
Hi there,
First, thanks for this great ROM. Its running smooth and fast on my diamond.
But there is one little issue I have.
It doesn't connect to the Internet over 3G. (no mails, no weather updates) Everything works flawlessly over WiFi.
I did a hard-reset after flashing. Actually, I think the automatic "Network Setup" that comes up after running for the first time didn't come up. How could I run this manually?
Other services from my network (Orange CH Switzerland) are working OK (SMS etc)
Any Idea how I could solve this and what causes it?

OK, ok, I was corious and I try this ROM. I update it with MIRAGE PDA part. It look's good. Seems to be a fast and stable. You have one death link in START-PROG-TOOLS it is manillla 2D. When I try to ALIGN SCREEN there is a unlimited reepet BUG. And You can put in a quick shut down or restart tool. But I have complaint. Can you take out a ORANGE Today part with SIDE menu bar like a separate file that ppl who like it can install indepedently from rom?

1. It's the Manilla2D customizer.. which is essentialy useless ATM, I'll take care of it

was about to flash another cooked rom until i saw yours... will wait then!

Battery meter
OK today I saw a one strange thing too, small battery oscilation. Battery was charge about 60%. After few calls and some use of app, there was 70% charged!
And plz trz to take out a theme from ORANGE rom I really like it.

Haven't had this ROM for very long yet, but first impressions are that this is (or will be?!) the best i780 ROM yet (and I believe I've tried every one!). It's very snappy with some intelligent tweaks (and a bit of personal preference). Nice job and look forward to the finished article!

I think this is more battery-specific than ROM-related.. not really something that is fixable via SW

Could be because the previous indicator didn't have any % .. thus 1 bar could be +-30%?

Personally I prefer whatever is different about this battery monitoring! In all other ROMs I have tried, battery status falls off a cliff really quickly, then sits at 30% until it then dies. With this ROM, there seems to be a genuinely smoother depletion profile. Yes, I have seen battery percentage go up at times, but given battery performance often increases with temperature, I do not find this surprising and would prefer point-in-time polling over irregular estimates.
Been running this ROM 24hrs now, loaded all my crap on it, and it still is way faster and more stable than everything I've tried before. Very minor niggles for final release are:
• One of the fonts is basically unreadable (the one used in Comm Manger) - I think this is an HL1/HL2 issue (I've had it on all the other's based on these), but if you can find a way of replacing it?​• Gap under keypad - I think there's been a fix for this posted​• The Java manager isn't great - can you use the Esmertec one which supports Full Screen etc?​• Not sure about that Penguin!​
Otherwise - can I reiterate how good a job you've done on this "beta"!

[REQUEST] New HTC ALBUM C-A-B..??

I wonder if anyone can help and provide a cab for the new htc album (with iphone like picture switching-plus its waaaay faster than the default old one..)
I want to use it with some roms that dont include it!! (old manila..!!)
Many many people that still on stock roms would also find this very helpful!!

But i flash a new rom every two days..!!! its gone out of control..i had my hd doing everything right but not being what it is..a phone!! (tons of problems answering calls with s2u2 caller id over new rodium dialer-which sucks-same s*** with resco contact manager which freezes every now and then in the newer builds..etc etc!!)
So i said i'll stick a while with a stock rom or 6.5..(6.5 after trying is out of the question..even with the 202 build..)
I found davideuck v7 and thought ok..give it a shot! And its amazing ..! AND RELIABLE!.. but with the "default" album..! which sucked from day 1 .. When you try the new one though you JUST CANT go back! So i wanted to know if its possible to have it VIA CAB!! Reflashing is not always a good thing to do cause for me its like 5 hours or so..(all apps from scrath etc..)
SO PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP...!! stock rom people would also love this!!

Same happens on my device. Using Davideuck 6.5 V6.

I think the fact that its Duttys own cab for his roms means its most likely not going to work on any other roms but his!

After a lot of search i found many builds of the 3xx version of the album!!!BUT ALL PORTED FOR DIAMOND .. (vga) No one has the original wvga one ???
(if it can be found as cab could also be used in davideucks 6.5 v6.. dave said he will cook a build with it in the rom but a cab would be nicer for all!)

If anyone can tell me what this "new album" is I could make a cab. Right now I'm using a self-cooked ROM with Album version 3_0_19131221_0, and seriously think about recooking the ROM to include the stock Blackstone one.

Its fast..!! The new album is the version you are using, with the iphone style and smootheness changing between pictures.. Its from rhodium as far as i know..

Whether it's fast or slow depends on a lot of things apparently, it's very slow in this ROM and was fast in my previous one.
It works the same way as the old one in terms of transition between pictures anyway. And on the downside it doesn't rotate pictures.

So we are not talking about the same album! You would have seen so much difference that you could never go back to an older version! even with the limitation in zoom levels!

I think we are talking about the same Album. It was very fast in my previous ROM.
I can easily go back to anything though. I just don't care about viewing pictures too much. And even less so about whether it's like the Jesus Phone or not.

Can someone then port it from duttys 2.6 for example, so it can be usable with every rom..?? or at least of the same build?

New CAB sucks! I want the original! Where can I get the original! I love the circle to zoom that would zoom an image of a photo that was almost too small to see on the phone so close and in crystal clarity! This new album SUCKS! 1 level of zoom and it's damn grainy! Way grainy! Not crystal clear at all.

+1 with Molitar, I prefer the old one. On Blackstone we do not have hardware zoombar.

I found an $8 software called Kai's Deinstaller.. it actually worked after the update from the 1D. I ran it and back to the older album

Any progress on this? I could do with an up-to-date album on the rom I use...

Problem with s2u2.

When I soft reset or turn the power off then s2u2 stops working. I am running the newest version of dutty rom atm, and the only extra application I installed is s2u2.
Hope anyone can help me here, because it is kinda annoying.

I had the same issue. There is some problem with iLock - it wont start. It happens from time to time... sometimes one SR helps, sometimes a few... Nevertheless I stopped using S2U2 for now...

If I install s2u2 it also installs the I lock thingy. I think that is the one that gives the problem.

I installed the newest version too, and in my opinion there is not only the problem with locking.
There is also an issue with consumtion from the Battery!?

So you suggest to use an older version?

Sorry if go a little off topic, but having the same issues with S2U2, i started to look for another locking app...and i found "CSDEVCTRL" an extremely small, yet very very versatile locking application.
And the BEST THING!.....
Battery life: 3 Days and Nights!!!!, on my Blackstone HD (Dutty 3.9 XT Turbo ROM)
