CFS kernels have been known to be more consistent and stable than BFS kernels. Not to say that BFS kernels aren't stable, it's just that they have been known to have some slowdowns and whatnot, but overall, BFS kernels are supposed to be faster. They score higher on Quadrant and stuff.
What's better CFS or BFS?

At the top of this very subforum is a sticky called misconceptions and info. You could have read that instead making another thread about it. Is it really that hard to search or view the stickys?
We cant tell which one your phone will like better. Try both. If there was clearly one better, nobody would use the other :shrugs:

which is better...
Ford or Chevy
Colgate or Crest
Mr Pibb or Dr Pepper
Linux or BSD
etc
download both a CFS and BFS kernel.
make a nandroid
i wipe my cache and dalvik everytime i flash a rom or kernel
flash one of the kernels..run it for 2 days
make a nandroid
flash the other kernel..run it for 2 days
if you find that your phone prefers one over the other...then you have your answer.
my device seems to prefer the BFS when on Snap but the CFS when on King...explain that one. lol
I understand the op is looking for info but dam . The info is pinned at the top I think the q&a forum should be renamed chasper's play house

From what I understand both are task schedulers : components in the kernel that determine what process gets to run on the cpu at what time slices. Remember only one process can be run on a physical CPU core at any given time. In order to support multiple processes simultaneously the OS ( linux in this case ) uses these schedulers to share the CPU core among the multiple processes.
CFS refers to Completely Fair Scheduler and BFS refers to Brain **** Scheduler.
BFS was written to radically simplify the approach to task scheduling and its goal is to improve UI responsiveness while implementing a simple basic design. Based on device usage one scheduler might perform better than the other one.

What a bunch of effin elitists. If you don't want people to use the forum, don't reply. Obviously you have enough time to reply, so just give the man or woman the info and quit breaking peoples balls simply because you're more efficient at gathering information than they are. Some people are just stupid and need our help reminding them to breathe.

Everyone was a noob once EVERYONE. If you can't respond in a professional, courteous manner then don't respond at all. I have never understood the jerkoffs that feel it is their duty to demean some one because they know less. I see at it at work and on these forums. When I see it at work I fire them, here I just shake my head. These forums are set up for the ENTIRE community to HELP each other and advance what we enjoy. They are not set up to be ego boosting, see much we can make other people feel inferior tools for little **** asses. If you can take the time to ridicule some one why not just give them the info they ask for. If they ask in a manner that give the impression that the community owes them that's different. Searches don't always give the answer that they ask as their question may be a little different then the answers give. This is not a gaming community filled with 13 year olds, so please don't act like. My 2 cents.

While I agree with what you said:
http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&...=f&oq=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.&fp=89e96c95c947f3f0
It really is not that hard. If you research this and then have a specific question about CFS/BFS, then OK....come in here and ask it. Example: If I go into one of my Mustang forums and ask: "What's the difference between a supercharger and a turbo?" then I'm going to get my ass handed to me. It's like every time I see a "What's the difference between Sense and AOSP?" thread, it makes me sick.
Where I agree with you, however, is to not go in the thread and be a ****. If you don't want to help, then don't go into the thread bashing someone. If no one answers, then they will have to do what they should have done from the beginning.......search.

you don't like reading, right?
I would like to hear this too, but the moderators have decided that these kind of discussions are forbidden here on XDAdev. They believe that because it's subjective it's somehow pointless to discuss. I don't agree, I believe that you can see what people share your preferences and base your ROM selection upon their experiences.
I'm presently running Swtos 1.0 full and I do like it. I've experienced no bugs, my only gripe is that the help files are removed (yes, I sometimes want them) and that I'd like more speed and responsiveness - but then again, are we ever satisfied in that department? Looking to Swiftblades 7.0 16pp and Swtos 1.4 full for upgrade.
Good luck in keeping the thread open.
swiftblade
(explaination below - suits my needs / min apps and is one, speedwise is one of the quicker ones in tf3d)
but as above... good luck keeping it from being closed... everyone has different needs... and depending on apps they install (which can affect the overall speed of each rom) you'll have no concensus and 2183491749183471 different responses of why its the best
I like it chocolatflavoured.
Rumours
I was told that Zebedeus's release 1.56.8 was able to make cappucino's !!
But nonfagotme's upcoming release 0,0001 is more stable in terms and conditions I red on stupidnonsens's thread
Enough laughs - Who's gonna request this to be locked guys?
hummmm
ill give it 30 seconds
if you look down you can see what i am using
I think a thread like this is great. Egos shouldn't be aloud to stand in the way of opinion. It's OBVIOUS that speed etc is subjective, but just like when you buy a car magazine, it's still nice to hear other people's opinions - it gives you a base from which to build your own experience.
I am using Swift's v7.0 16mb full ROM and it's great - very stable and very fast, what more could anyone want from a ROM? I tend to steer clear from the ROMs/chefs surrounded in hype and shameless self-promotion as I believe a good ROM speaks for itself.
I think there are all about the same for 99%.
I did like the french ringtone aztor put in it
disagree- a question like this is subjective and irationale.
There is no such thing as "best" - no values- no perception - no speed (as this is ONLY in the eye of the beholder)
The ONLY reason people post this Question (as I did when I started 700 posts ago with my XDA) is not to have to read hundreds of pages of pro's and con's for each ROM.
My 2 cents

I don't think the original poster was asking about 'best', at least that's the way I understood his post. We all read through endless posts about various ROMs and it's inevitable that we wonder - 'I would love to know how x ROM fares against Y rom'. What's so bad about allowing people to post their subjective experiences so that a common denominator through comparison is formed, allowing people to assess which ROM may be best suited to them? If people have flashed and tested many ROMs, why can't we benefit from their experiences? We aren't children, we can discern for ourselves which post to believe/disregard!
It's like Orwell's 1984 around here sometimes

Subjective - yes, but so is everything we percieve. Subjective doesn't imply irrational. What I think IS irrational is actually having to read through hundreds of pages of ROM threads to find info you need.
Forums like these are also about collecting and organizing information. I argue it would be RATIONAL to collect experiences in a single thread, instead of having bits and pieces scattered all over the forum.
I HAVE read through pretty much all the ROM threads, and I enjoy making up my own mind from the information there.
Still, I lack the direct comparisons most people here are so afraid to make. Most people only say sth like: "the rom is very fast". Compared to what? Compared to another cooked ROM or to a stock ROM?
My 2 cents.
I want to get pushed to use it.
The more ego, the better. I need a rom from someone that 'dares' and keeps creating roms everyone knows, and wants everyone to try it. I tend to pay for quality too. I don't believe in making something 'for free', its good for the creator only then. With, all respect offcourse, exeptions are always present.

Well, seems like this tread is going to be 20 roms x hundreds of pages is 20.000 pages of opinion to read when that comes true?
they are basically all the same in terms of speed, it all depends what functionality you want from it.

Well, if you take the average ROM thread and remove all individual post only stating:
"How do I flash?"
"My flash stop at 0%"
"What is hard-SPL?"
"Opera crashes"
"Activesync is always active"
and also remove all requests for this or that app, language etc, with the chefs and everyone elses anwers to this...
There wouldn't be much left now, would it?

we call the chef - SWIFTBLADE!
I wrote this to explain to the new users why they might get what they consider short or bad answers... when really they aren't!
First off, this is meant to be a basic guide for basic understanding, there may be things that are slightly wrong or not completely accurate (to some experts) but this is for BASIC UNDERSTANDING and not meant to bash or flame any ideas, beliefs or operating systems. If anyone wants any more information they will know how to find it.

Why you get short/one word answers!
A lot of users here are sometimes confused, disgruntled or scared off by confusing short -sometimes one word- answers.
I thought i would take some time to explain. And it will take time. For the short story go down to the bottom. Sit back and get ready to understand why you feel you aren't understanding something........

The Long Answer
This is also a common problem with new users in linux forums. This is no co-incidence! It is not that the more knowlegable members are ignorant, short, or rude. They just speak in quick short answers to help you (help yourself).
Why you get short or one word answers!
Let me start on Linux. I personally am not a user, but i have researched it. It is not for me personally, it does not have the features I need or support some of my fancy hardware. Dont get me wrong, Linux is a Great alternative for many users, beginner or advanced. I would consider installing Ubuntu (built on Linux) for my friends parents or grandparents! And anyone else that likes the way iOS is built but doesn't want Apple. But Linux is LOVED by programmers! Why ? Because its Open Source software.
What is Open Source?
Open source software is written "un-compiled" meaning anyone can "open" up the program, read it, learn how it works, or edit it***
How can you legally edit someones program and use it yourself?
GPL General Public License - the linux kernel and many other things are licenced under this.
Basically it is the opposite of copyright, meaning everything under the licence is free, and can and must be able to be read, edit and be re-used to what ever means the other party wants, as long as what they do is under the GPL as well. So any program that works with GPL software, uses code or ideas from GPL software (no matter how small), shares programming libraries with, ect.... MUST BE FREE and OPEN SOURCE. This can be messy for people that want to make money off certain ideas and software.. But,... its all in the name of freedom. Lets just leave it there.
What does any of this have to do with Android?
Android is built on a Linux derived kernel, most of the code for the famous android kernel came for linux! so.... GPL.... so... Open Source!
**This is why android app developers ask you to "donate to" not "buy" their app.** Its a Google Android / GPL thing.
So why do programmers like Linux and or Open Source?
They like it because they are constantly learning and curious! With Linux or any program/software that runs on/with/for Linux they can learn how it works! Better yet, if they want their program to do that, all they have to do is copy and paste it from where they saw it first, then edit it to their own means.
How programmers think:
Im curious about "X"....
Im going to search for "X" where i think im going to find it
I found it! I like it,
Hmm what is this in here? What is "Y"??
Im going to search for "Y"
NO!?! I ll ask a buddy programmer....
He told me "Z" just... "Z"
Im going to search for "Z"
OH!! that makes sense!!!!
Im going to use that!
See a common trend? Search, learn, search, ask, search, learn, search, ask , search.
Click to collapse
In programming this leads to the thinking, "Why type something again if its already been typed? - I can copy and paste!!!"
Similarly:
In forums and helping others it leads to thinking "Why type something that has already been typed? - If you search "X", you find something that has already been typed and i dont have to copy and paste it or find it for you!!!. " Search this word.....
On top of that, programming code uses many "short forms", "broken words" and "gibberish" that makes a lot of sense when you know what it means. This results in thinking in short terms that mean a lot (to them)!
Closing
As said above its not out of being rude or elitist, its a way of thinking.
-That way of thinking is a part of programming, and leaning anything in that world, you have to learn the way of thinking. >
-Part of the learning to think that way is getting fed up and saying "Im just going to find out myself!!" >
-Then, by the time you learn how to find anything you want to know on your own, you have an epiphany and realize they were telling you "exactly what you needed to hear". They were the Oracle and you are Neo. The Matrix has you, and it was all about the journey!

originally posted by kyphur:
I think what a lot of people forget is that this is not a "make my phone neat & kewl" place.
As implied by the name this is technically a Developers forum/community.
Now what does that mean? Well first off it means that there is an expectation that if you are here then you want to customize your device but rather than just installing something that someone packaged you want to understand how it works and maybe even enhance it yourself.
When I first came here with a Blue Angel it was a different environment. PDA Phones were not embraced by the general public because of the expense and complexity (I paid over $400 for my BA). A $400 phone 4 years ago was expensive, today the Tilt is $300 after rebates but with inflation & the rise in the cost of other devices and the fact that there are other sources out there giving them away for $150 our neat bit of kit has become popular with mainstream users.
Now we have a flood of new users who are asking not "How can I do this myself?" but more like "Give me the quick fix" without caring to understand the process. See if you read the threads then you get to experience the learning process, you see how the issues were investigated and confirmed. Then you get to watch the different attempts at resolution and learn why some failed while others worked. That is called Development.
The NooB backlash is coming from users who have walked in the development shoes and is directed mainly at those who don't care for the journey but just want the end result or destination.
As a Development Forum we are just as much (if not more) about the journey. I've read so many comments like "I don't have time to read all of the threads" or "I don't care how it works, just that it does". These very statements are contrary to the heart & soul of XDA-Devs and that is why the backlash is so strong.
Let me be very clear on this: IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT UNDERSTANDING THE JOURNEY THEN YOU PROBABLY SHOULDN'T BE HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE.
XDA-Devs is about developers & hackers helping each other and working together to get the most out of our devices by understanding them better than most.
XDA-Devs is not about helping everyone who wants a "Kewl bit of kit" make their phone better than the guy next to him.
Now do we go kicking users off who never contribute anything, NO. We tolerate it to an extent. Where the toleration ends is when these users start diluting the usefulness of the forum by repeating the same questions over and over again.
You ask us to understand your position. Well if you want to benefit from our experience and time then I think it is only fair that you understand our position.

Random's post was actually very humble, some people get crucified for not searching lol
We do need a clearer documentation of ROMs
Personally, I think OP's request is completely valid. There are a multitude of ROMS. The roms really don't have any specific vision statement such as "My goal is to be the most stable rom" "my goal is to be the most bleeding edge ROM" "my goal is to be the quickest ROM" or "my goal is to be the fastest ROM, even if stability suffers". Instead each rom seems to be a person who then does some personal tweaks and incorporates the generally available tweaks others have posted.
There's also not a clear change from version to version other than, (hopefully), the release notes which may list "teaked X", "changed Y" which doesn't help me understand if the next build is more stable, smaller, faster, or what.
Also, it's hard to tell the riger put into the software development process. While some ROMs are team built and significantly tested, it's hard to tell which. I assume ACS and Bonsai both have many people testing for many weeks prior to releasing a ROM, but I don't know that. And for the smaller ones, I have no clue.
Ultimately, it would help for someone who has enough experience with each ROM to document the differences. Alternately, a template for ROM developers to fill in each version might help. Something like.
GOAL OF ROM: (if multiple goals, list in order of importance to the developer)
DEVELOPER/DEVELOPERS: (by name, handle, or # of developers)
MAJOR BUILDS INDICATE A CHANGE IN... (time, tweaks, base build, etc)
CODE MANAGEMENT PROCESS: (formal repository, versioning in development package, 1 set of source files edited in VI with no backups or versions)
TEST PROCESS: (length of test, number of test subjects, any stress tests/unique situations/or boundary scenarios included in testing)
SUPPORT OPTIONS: (post on board, email development team, IRC, fire and forget, normal response time, etc)
You need to do what I and most of us did....read the threads following the ROM releases. Every phone is different but if 10 people on the ROM thread report Bluetooth issues and BT is important to you, don't use it. There are no info shortcuts here. Read the ROM threads.
Do you BONSAI?
Unfortunately, it's completely impractical to read through hundreds of posts per ROM to understand the pre-existing bugs with each ROM. Additionally, those bugs are tied to a build. The build they are associated with is usually not apperent from the posts.
The only way to keep up is to skim each rom regularly so you can maintain the current state of each ROM. it doesn't allow people to come in from a cold start and understand what's going on. That would be a good thing to add to the manifest listed above though:

Most of the big developers make an effort to list the large and recurring issues in the first page of the thread. Most other bugs tend to be one-offs caused by a bad flash or failure to wipe data prior. I understand where you're coming from, as I felt the same way when I first jumped in. Mind you, I got the phone in November of 2010, began actively following various threads within a few weeks, gained a vast amount of knowledge on the matter, didn't first root until the EB13 update in February, and didn't even sign up to the forum until March, after which I began helping others with problems I had found answers to months before even making my first post.
I don't preach hypocrisy. I generally criticize an oft-repeated question while also answering it or linking it to one of many long-existent answers. I preach learning by reading. If I tell you how to fix something today, you'll come back with a problem tomorrow because you didn't earn the knowledge for yourself, and you didn't understand what you did. The age-old parable:
"If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime!"
I strongly suggest everyone read as much as they can to understand as best they can! Take your epic to the toilet and read in your spare time!
While your idea is a noble one, it's a much larger undertaking than you're giving it credit for. Developers would have to collaborate to give a list of specifications, known bugs, etc. to one thread. Someone would have to oversee this thread, take in additional posts to this thread, and append them to the front page continuously. The end result would be roughly what each individual thread already attempts to achieve, with a much larger scale of chaos and a huge problem with out-of-date details.
The list Kenny linked contains a list of known Epic roms and their latest update. You could make this an XDA thread, but I can't say that trying to include every detail and bug beyond that of every rom is a good idea.
That said, look around. Find a Rom. Read about its details. If it sounds good to you, give it a test run! Use what works for you, don't obsess about which one is the "best".
-Written by a man with nothing to do during his lunch break.
No one should be "jumping in cold" and rooting and throwing on ROMs. I got my phone in September, read through posts on ROMs that had features I liked, then 6 weeks later rooted and tried a few ROMs. There are videos now in the General stickies to help cut down on the reading but as stated every phone is different right out of the box. One ROM may cause a messaging issue with a small group whereas another Bluetooth issues. Most developers list known bugs being worked on in the OP.

try this on youtube
qbking77 on youtube. put in search box 'How to Root Samsung Epic and flash SyndicateFrozenRom 1.1.0/1'. cannot post a link at this time, I'm too new
Actually, I read XDA every day (work's been slow recently). I've rooted my phone and installed more roms than I can count. (Also rooted my wife's and her viewsonic gtab.)
I agree that the major rom builders do a much better job of managing and documenting their development process than most 1-man outfits. However, I still can bearly tell the difference from 1 ROM to the next or 1 build of a ROM to the next. (As far as I can tell, what we have are pretty much the same ROM a dozen different times with slightly different bugs.) A standard for ROM developers to fill in would hopefully help them in focusing their ROM as much as it helps people in understanding the goals of their rom.
As for the effort involved in keeping it up-to-date, most of the worthwhile developers update their main post or start a new one at each major build. Adding some structure to that update wouldn't be a significant increase in hastle.
on a completely separate note, I understand where you are coming from with the "teach them to search" montra. (I helped moderate a very large everquest form for years.)
Since then though, I've realized that, while it's very popular on message boards, it's not very useful. You have to either have a very good understanding of where on a message board to look for the information you are interested in or you need to be a very skilled searcher. Otherwise you end up spending a significant amount of time pouring through poorly summarized search results which don't address your question without knowing if there IS an answer somwhere. While the (here are similar threads) function of vBulletin is reasonably useful, the xda search powered by google is impossible.
Wiki's form a MUCH better way of collecting answers to message boards than bulletin boards do. Unfortunately, you need your WIKI and your forum tightly integrated, (which means a CMS rather than vBulletin + mediawiki). Also, you need forum posters who, after answering a question on the forum, turn right around and post the answer into a wiki page to ensure it was there for the next person
(Actually, it'd be really cool if every Q&A forum on XDA, instead of pointing to a normal forum, pointed to a wiki answers type software install (http://wiki.answers.com/) tailored for XDA. That would hopefully significantly cut down on re-asking of questions. )

Hi, to this and i'm looking to install a new rom on my Epic 4G but like every person, I am afraid to damage my new equipment.
I'm looking for some stable Roms to flash my Epic but don't know where to look for them with a good description of what does work- what doesn't-what will improve with it... Thing's like that. If anyone can help me, i'll apreciate. =)

You can look in the development area, the threads are there for the ROMs. Typically the first few posts of a ROM thread will be the information about it. Then read a few of the pages (near the beginning and the last few) to get a feel for what users are experiencing during their use of the ROM.
That should give you the information you're looking for.
Good luck
I would suggest you look into the following excellent ROMs
Midnight v 5.3 which is based on Bonsai. This is my favorite and Rob is very helpful about his and other peoples ROMs
Bonsai itself which you have to go to their site for
Syndicate Frozen 1.1.1 from ACS.
Frankenstein when ecooce finishes the newest one. This is based on the ACS ROM
There are some other ones on here that I just don't know as much about. All of the developers use each others stuff so no matter what you go with it is better than stock.
You will learn a lot from your mistakes when flashing ROMs but the trick is to read a lot through the forums so you can learn from others mistakes.

Why would you want to OverVolt?
it might be a bit rhetorical but...
why are you asking that question then?
because if the reason is good, then i may want to overvolt. i dont have the knowledge currently to understand . so this might be rhetorical, but " why are you a Mod and an asshole to someone seeking knowledge?"
simply because your question was not properly formed, instead it was stating the obvious
it'd have made more sense asking "when should you overvolt?" or "what do you gain by overvolting?"
you ask the proper question you'll get the proper answer, you ask crappy question you'll get crappy answer, as simple as that
O.k. ill play. I know you know the answer too so please don't disappeared now that I'm being g compliant with your request.
What would I gain by overvolting? I'm currently running Faux 007 kernel. I understand that undervolting should theoretically increase battery life, although I have been unable to see any difference in my tests. Would overvolting improve anything? Couldn't I harm something by overvolting? Any knowledge about this subject would be most helpful. Thank you

What is your thought to overvolting? I understand wondering what you might gain from it, but what made you thought of overvolting in the first place?
just reading postd. the ability to do so. people posting they ov, uv....etc...

Completely unnecessary dude. You knew what he was asking. That attitude is exactly whats wrong with this forum. To answer your question OP, overvolting is mostly used for when trying to overclock to a high level. At least thats the way it was explained in a kernel thread in the vibrant forum.
Thanks Bro.....I don't know too much and read this forum daily trying to learn. Then a mod makes me feel Like a douche . But again thanks for your answer

no i don't, not until he clarified what he was really after
that's why i did said it was rhetorical
as the original question pretty much stated the obvious Why would you want to OverVolt? as in Overvolting, that's a big no no, it's common sense, under normal circumstances or default of any electronic devices, that will cause harm.
however if you do ignore the fact of such action will eventually kill the device, but you still opt to go for it, then the only logical reason is to gain more power, which is usually associated with OverClocking, some OC steps can not be archived without adding more power, that's where the extra push of the voltage comes into play

so in a sense OverVolting is only required under specific circumstances which are directly disproportional to the health of your device, but will grand you crazy speed & power in exchange for a shortened life span
His question was pretty clear. Ive read your responses on other posts, and your an intelligent person. Not sure why you wanted to respond in the manner in which you did. Just own up that you were being a jerk and lets all move on.
I'm thankful for the information either way. The thing that shocks me the most is that guy is a mod!!! That's a joke. Seriously to act like that and to be the one who judges others is why this site is under fire. I'm a noob , I don't know much about android but I do know attitude and a jackass when I see it.
im sure this has been posted a thousand fold, but i wanted to post one for the personalization of it. What would you say its the best overall kernel for cm7.2. im about to have a crack at using tiamat with it since it was my personal fav on my incredible. any suggestions?
I like aeroevans 8bfs kernel. His 8 cfs is good too but idk the difference really. His ics v9 kernel supposedly works with gingerbread but I haven't tried it
The v9 kernel works really well with cm7. I would really recommend using it. Battery life is much improved.

If you are sure its been asked, why didn't you search for it. Then the next thing is, test for yourself. Every phone responds different. I'm using AOKP with aeros newest kernel and my phone is flipping amazing, but my wife has lockups and a whole lot of other crap wrong.. it also depends on your governer and use that you do with it. Seriously, this is just another pointless thread that could've been in one of the already open ones...

I Dont understand what the problem is. He posted in the correct section, was polite and simply asked for our opinions. Kernels do change, with updates and whatnot while others get left behind. simply searching and grave digging an old thread doesnt really change anything. Just dont want this place to become a thread-prison.
As for the kernels, tiamat hasnt been updated for our phone in ages, a lot of stuff has changed for GB since their last update. JDK kernel is in the same boat. This leaves the various versions of Aero's kernel essentially, i'd go with .8bfs or the v9 ics kernel, which i'm currently using with no problems.

thank you if youre not gonna help then dont post. its people like that thats made alot of great devs leave xda cause of the trollers.
anyways thanks for all the tips ill try em all out. im currently testing out some sense kernels for great battery life any suggestions there?
I fully agree. When you get a new device you are not sure what is old and what are outdated mods and what is the newest thing sometimes. I agree we should search first. But I have had times where I search and google and still no answers. Then when I finally post a question there is usually someone making a refference about another kitty being killed. I came from the Droid X2 which the phone was crap and Motorola sucks A$$ for locking the phones down. However that forum was very friendly and eager to help out noobs. I do understand some of the questions asked are a little crazy and you can tell they did not search. But if you are pissed about someone posting just ignore it and let some other helpful person respond. And if they post in the wrong section the MR Highway will come get them!! He is awesome at that! Keep up the great work Mr Highway. Sorry just my .02 cents. Also as the noobs learn they help out other noobs and hopefully you respected devs can ignore these simple questions. The DX2 was my first phone and I had no idea what I was doing. With the help of the DX2 community I got up to speed and was able to help others. Look at my thanks count. One noob helping another. I asked plenty of questions when I first came on here had some helpful feedback and some smart remarks. Well needless to say I am now comfortable with flashing Roms,Kernel, radio and moving back and forth from AOSP,Sense, and ICS and I found all the fixes and work around ICS by reading the threads and not asking questions here. Just some food for thought.

Again, our phone lacks a large variety of kernels, however the few we have are solid (probably the reason we dont have 2000 of them xD)
The only kernel i've really used for sense is drellisdee's #21 kernel, it comes with all the usual cpu governors and is included in a lot of ext4 sense roms. It works on sense 2.1, 3.0 and 3.5 in my experience as well.
Hopefully that was of some help :s

Yes, he did post this in the right section if it was just kernel and not ROM specific with CM7.2 why just question for AOSP or sense? And I wasn't rude in my response to him as far as him posting a question. I am irritated knowing that we have just recently had a lot of problems in this thread with people just simply asking questions they could've searched for and reposting the same thing 8,000,000 times (su, killall drmserver) ya that is familiar

Its lack of wanting to put in any time with search and asking the same exact questions over and over that makes DEV's leave.
