Ok I am annoyed with the other thread of people scamming money for something that can be done for free
Here are the tools you need to unlock your diamond for free - when you are finished you will have a SECURITY UNLOCKED and SIM UNLOCKED diamond.
----------------INSTRUCTIONS------------------
FULLY CHARGE YOUR PHONE, CONNECT IT TO ACTIVE SYNC ON THE PC
STEP 1: - HardSPL unlock
Run ROMUpdateUtility.exe from folder STEP1, allow the flash and reboot and let it finish all its tasks on first boot
STEP1.b - Now Make sure you have downgraded your radio version to a version below 1.02.XXX - If your radio is already below 1.02.XXX, then continue to STEP 2 - if not, then downgrade the radio now FROM INTERNAL STORAGE FLASH, and then continue to step 2
STEP 2: - Radio Unlock
Run DiamonCustomRUU.exe from folder STEP 2, allow the flash, and reboot and let it finish all its tasks on boot
STEP 3: - Sim and Security Unlock
Copy DiamUnlock.exe from folder STEP 3 onto the the 4GB storage card of the phone, now goto file explorer in the phone, and run DiamUnlock.exe, it will open up the options to SIM UNLOCK and SECURITY UNLOCK - tick these boxes and press UNLOCK
If all is well it will say UNLOCKED, now reboot your phone with any simcard in, YOUR DIAMOND IS NOW UNLOCKED !
(Older versions of DiamUnlock.exe closed very quickly and you had to try many times to click on the unlock buttons, I have included the fixed version I think that does not close quickly and should be very easy to unlock)
Download Unlocking Tools
http://rapidshare.com/files/411854232/DIAMOND_UNLOCKER.rar
Buy me a Coffee / Pint if this helped unlock your Diamond !
REPLY
Post with a reply if you successfully managed to Unlock your Diamond using these tools
I used the same tools some time ago. Not these ones specificly, but the steps are the same and the programs seem to be identical. I still had to use the older version where the program closed very quickly, but I managed to do it.
Good luck to you all.
I cant pass step 2... it says flashing error and i cat boot win mobile... then i flash step 1 again and boot. But i cannot execute unloker because step 2 is not complete. Any idea?

Downgrade your radio to radio 1.00.25.05 before unlocking
RADIO
Yes you must have a radio version below 1.02.XXX
If you need to downgrade your radio, then Perform Step 1 first (HardSPL)
Then downgrade your radio to below version 1.02.XXX
Then continue with Step 2 and then Step 3

EDIT : I perform step 1-3, no problem., i think radio upgrade does not work, because Radio Version is 1.20Olinex.
Now i will try any other SIMcard

Once you perform sim unlock, you can flash a new radio of your choice and simlock and security lock will stay UNLOCKED

Hahaha, how do you know if a particular phone is already irrelevant? When moderators don't care about their scams any more on that particular model.
Threads like this used to be locked and banned immediately on sight back in the day, so that moderators and their friends could scam people for $$$ cash. Anyone who posted tools or links to methods on doing it for free, within the hour they'd disappear.

just my 2 cents on the "updating bootloader issue":
i suggest (for people owning sim-locked universals) not to update bootloader before there is a working method for unlocking them as the sim-lock is closely linked to the bootloader. buzz mentioned he is able to unlock universals having bootloader <1.00 installed (not by an easy automatic and comfortable procedure, still manually but possible). but you never know what is included in an updated bootloader and what maybe prevents your device from getting unlocked successfully.
i personally collect and keep those new bootloaders on my harddisk but i do not update the device and stay with mine (unfortunately v1.00) until the "brick" is unlocked.

peter
ps: if you never plan to unlock your device by a great software tool from any of our developers here, just don't care about my writing ;-)

I have some questions before I upgrade...
Will it recover my Jasjar to come out of coma (flash screen)?
Do I lose my warranty?
Is there any way to downgrade to v0.6?
THanks for your help guys

Does upgrading the Bootloader need a hard reset ??I mean do I have to reinstall everything after I update the bootloader?
Also I have previously downloaded somewhere her the following file: BL10_RUU_UNI_V11.exe is that Version 1.0 or 1.1
this file here is jasjar_bl1.01_ruu_v1.2.exe which is that 1.01.or.version 1.2
I am a bit confused as you see, Any help will be appreciated
No hard-reset needed!
To be honest, I came from 0.6 and see no difference in speed, booting up of whatever.

After I upgraded my jasjar with the new 1.1 bootloader my jasjar boots in 3 seconds!!!!---------plus 20 lol There is no speed difference. But the new boot loader seems that there may be a hint of a major os update in the future. Going from .6 to 1.1 is just insane.

I am facing the dreaded 'No GSM' error and unable to flash radio rom problem.
tried to flash every possible rom including original O2 one. All failed on radio ram flash.

So all, please help me if there is some light in the end of this tunnel

I just bought a used XDA with this same problem. Thought if i flash it it would work... any suggestions on what I can do? i havent touched it yet. Thanks
has ANYONE been able to solve this problem?!!!! Pls what did u do step by step.... I spent so much money on this %&%$& Phone!!! pulllleeeessssss
I haven't had this problem, however it sounds like you phone may be SIM locked? If so, you will need to flash it with the native ROM from it;'s origin. If it is SIM and CID locked, it will only take the OEM signed ROM.
Quote from POF (Moderator)
"Not in 100% of the cases... there are some situations where the radio bootloader is intact, but the radio is screwed, this causes all bootloader commands that require radio seclevel to be queried to hang the device (like 'task 32' or 'info 2'), thus not being able to flash it with the usual RUUs.
If this happens, it can easily be fixed with hermflasher by flashing the raw radio without prior authenticating to bootloader."
If this is of any help. It is from a thread on CID Unlocking RUU for Uni
Thanks.
i have been through that thread.
well the question on that is 'Is hermflasher okay to flash Universal as well'?
Where is this thread? i can try it.... but cant find the thread on cid unlocking ruu for universal in mermes section....

well it was a laptop dell to be precise.
it was never used for window mobile usage previously and hence fresh Active sync 4.5 was installed.
only radio rom 1st (using the RUU check bypassing)......
once succesful, then laurentiius rom was tried.
one more thing i had entered bootloader manually after disabling AS 4.5
i used the original USB cable as well
hope this helps....
suggest get hold of some friends "win mobile virgin" pc/laptop.
P.S>- i am not sure but this prob might be somewhat related to COM ports available on your machine.

I get the fundamentals of Simunlock v/s AppUnlock etc.
It was SimUnlocked using Unlock code I had got from T-Mobile.
1. It already has the latest Official ROM version on it (i.e. I tried doing it with the latest T-Mobile) and it shows the version I have is the same.
Do I need to reflash it with the ROM that is aleady present on my DASH? Is it worth trying that?
2. Now the step called AppUnlock? Which tool should I use given that I would have the T-Mobile Carrier 6.1 ROM on it (either already or reflash with T-Mobile 6.1 AGAIN)
3. After AppUnlock should I go for the FLASHing guide? Which one would that be?
if you search hard u can find it
sda unlock then put that file in your phone open it
then reboot
then just install it should be all center buttons if your using rickys rom
that's all
to add what are u talking about tmobile 6.1 there is none available from tmobile 6.1

a. follow EXACTLY what the guide says. download the files it tells you to (and provides links to). thats why i put PICTURES so you wont have to ask. get the app unlocker from the guide....no need to install anything on the phone..just plug it in via activesync and run the app unlock...it will look like the pictures...then reboot and continue the install
b. tmobile has no 6.1 rom.

thanks to your reply!
I have to agree with Andrei here, the doc is not very enlightening,
from what I have read there are a few things missing.
For example I don't know if I have to "unlock" my phone. I bought it on ebay they said it was unlocked, the phone was not available in USA&Canada they imported it somehow from Europe (it's an MDA Pro). I beleive it is unlocked already but ...some users here say "completly unlock your phone" ...which means...there are some other partial "unlocks" ???
The Wiki procedure says you have to backup your files...It is har to beleive that there is no standard reliable software that can be included and mentioned in this procedure. This is an important step and if anything goes wrong you must be able to find your way back to at least what you had had before you did the upgrade.
As for "the search button" ...I have tried that and ...)) the same results tons of answers ...you need years to read and to process all that info.
Guys,
After Having Device only for few days to upgrade may not be advisable. Therefore I suggest you to take few days to get to know your device and read more info.
REgarding the "Locked Device" means you would only able to use the device with the SIM of the Orginal carrier. As you already using the device in other country and other service provider..I guess you device is UNLOCKED.
Anyhow I will try to short describe how to upgrade goes.
1) Make sure you get the orginal OS of your device first. anything goes wrong you can flash back to that OS.
2) make sure you backup your personal files from the device( files;PIM;etc.etc)
3) make sure you have bootloader higher then V1.0
4) make sure you have full charged Battery
5) Remember that in cooked WM6 the vidoe call doesnt function anymore!!!
6) Download a cooked ROM available here in the Universal forum. ( the New ROM of Tomal V8.5 is great one)
7) I.E Tomals ROM file has got everything you need to Flash your device
8) Anything else is clearly descriebed in the WIKI "READ IT carefully"
Good Luck.. dont blame if anything goes wrong

Aparently if your PDA is seen by UNI_ExitBootloader.exe that means the reboot command is executed then you should be OK. But....I tried that and I had to try it twice, the first time didn't work.
So...apparently I will have to try to bootloder upgrade and after that burn the new ROM.
I still need a way to save the old one.
BTW, in what circumstances can yu damage your phone up to the point where you can not reflash it or use it anymore ?
nad one more question, will the phone work (calling and receiving calls) if the software is gone ? I believe it will not but...what do I know ? )
I'm also not totally clear on the instruction. Though they seem to be complete the style their written in leaves some questions.
If I have a G4 then is the file "HTC_Uni_SIM_Unlock_v1.rar" at ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Universal/Tools_and_Programs/ is what is needed to unlock CID/EROM locks in preparation for ROM flashing?
Or is SIM unlocking totally different from the unlocking were talking about?
Thank you vary much!

4.2) Put your device in boot loader mode with button Comb. >power B + Back light B + Push the reset B <with stylus until you see on the screen the Boot loader Screen. Connect Device to your Computer.
4.3) Start the TML_v85_WM61_20764_ST.exe with double click and the installation will start.
4.4) follow the screen instruction.

The realVGA is not included in the Tomals ROM. you need to download it separately.(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=327830)
I am not that young anymore and therefore I found my self having issues with the RealVGA. 128DPI is nice but you need good eyes. 96DPI is not usable I would say
Hello
My phone's screen is stuck at opening htc logo. I never rooted it - shall I just flash it with standard stock rom? Would you please be so kind to point me in the right direction? Bless...
My kindest regards
Pete
Try booting without the sd card.
How old is the phone? What happened / did you do (if such is the case) for it to get like that? Etc.....

Tried that before without result...also did a factory reset but to no avail. Phone was just over a year old when it happened, got it from my insurance policy so it's possibly a refurbished one. I can't remember doing anything to cause this...

Ok, enable USB debugging, plug the phone to the PC and then open a CMD ON the PC and type adb reboot-bootloader and once in bootloader type fastboot getvar all. You Need to post the INFOcidnum and INFOmain
How old is your phone? Isn't there still any warranty? If so you may try to contact your reseller, service provider or the manufacturer. If not glevitan may be your hero

How can I enable USB debugging if I can get onto HBOOT menu only? Is it possible to switch it on from there? Saludos

Yes, from fastboot, plug the phone (You will see fastboot USB in red) type: fastboot getvar all
sounds like a boot loop?
try removing the battery, once you have done that re boot into boot loader from there you should see an option for recovery.you may want to do a full wipe and re flash the rom.:silly: keep in mind the initial flash normally will take the longest, best to leave it be for a few minutes while the phone adjust to the new settings, that sometimes will seem like you may have an issue, but patience most times is all that is needed.hope this helps.

Well....
1- over a year old bought refurbished.
2- he never rooted. We could assume that it is s-off from the previous owner but all of us failed to ask that question making another assumption that he isn't s-off.
3- he did a factory reset which didn't work (whatever that means with an s-on device / with an s-off device it really messes things up).
4- glevitan is here. If he doesn't know how to fix it (and from the few active members that tend to lend a hand in these type of posts) there may be just a handful who could help out. Hence, the OP is in good hands.
5- when someone messes up their phone without knowing what happened nor how to fix it, you need to give more detailed instructions on how to get it done.
6- I'm guessing that the info glevitan asked for is to find the correct ruu for the member to flash and to get his phone back to working conditions. If that doesn't work, chances are it's a hardware problem.

Bullet point, impressive. now a refurb with s off would mean a root from a previous owner?
"S-ON, which means it blocks you from flashing radio images — the code that manages your data, Wi-Fi and GPS connections. Switching your phone to S-OFF lets you flash new radios. Rooting doesn’t require S-OFF, but many rooting tools will give you S-OFF in addition to root access" So hince my question if attempting to flash a rom ,it would be a safe bet he would be rooted, because without it he would have no admin access, recovery or superser access and would not be able to complete the flash process.a factory reset would normally on a stock rom not result in a loss of the entire stock rom but only a loss off data i.e contacts apps etc. and with these things in mind it would seem to be a safe to assume its a hardware issue or a rooted refurb phone from a previous owner in a bootloop becauce a factory reset there would wipe everything?

Factory reset resets the phone to it's "as fabricated"-condition, wich means it wipes user data and cache on the phone. With or without root the procedure is the same and should usally not affect /system or /boot.
So we have to find out, if the phone is S-On/S-Off (phosphen, more information on the topic can be read for example here, second post).

Sorry guys, but before hijacking this thread maybe you can go and follow the discussion in the off topic thread. The idea here is to lend a hand to someone that is stuck and a noob and this for certain not helping him. Let's keep it clean....
BTW, the only solution in his case is to flash the OEM RUU or make a goldcard and flash an unbranded rom. With no s-off there´s no other way.

Maybe it's good practice for him to read through all to learn to discern right info from wrong.

Yeah, that is right, but with the phone stuck in the splash I don´t think is a good time to think about learning. This experience will definitely be worth for him in the future. :victory:
