R u sure? coz i connected it to pc till its light turned green from orange.
Two months ago i went HTC service center, they told me your phone is dead, its board problem and it will cost u INR 19000.
I brought it for Rs. 17000, so y should i pay so much.

do you have wall charger?
PC giving 0.5A, charger 1A. May not sound so, but it's makes difference
Put your phone on wall charger for night(aprx 10h, don't bother light) maybe helps

If motherboard is really death, check ebay for working devices (with cracked display or something like that) and make swap

OK i will give try, and let you know. Btw any idea how much new battery will cost ?
And how will i know its original one?

in Poland, high quality (not orginal, but comparable) battery costs about 416 INR

[Q] phone dead htc one x

i am currnetly using an htc one x, which i havent rooted or flashed yet, 2 days ago the phone just got hung, without me doin anything, i just turned on the phone and it was just........stuck.......then it switched off by itself and switched on again, it went to the htc logo, then switched off again, the same cycle repeated 4-5 times. The battery had abt 76% charge left. Then all of a sudden, it just refused to turn on. I couldnt charge it, the device manager couldnt detect it, and i tried nearly every possible combination of the volume-power buttons, still nothing. I saw somewhere that if u just charge for 1-2 days it'll turn on again, but still no luck.......no response from the comp wen i plug it in.......still running the stock os.........pls help, i have almost lost faith in technology

How log have you had it?
If you can get into the bootloader try a factory reset from there.

Dude, it seems that your battery is flat. I'd suggest charging the phone via a power outlet and not the PC usb. Once you connect the phone to the power outlet you should get a red charging led..
After it's fully recharged, try rebooting..if still the same problem, get into the bootloader and do a factory reset...if still the issue persists, go back to the retailer where you bought this from and get a replacement...

If you're not getting to bootloader and it won't start even after being plugged in so long...you don't have any choice but to seek repair.

Yup, it seems you have faulty mainboard...get it repaired..I wouldn't suggest spending a lot of money on repairing a outdated phone. If the service center is asking for a few hundred $ then scrap it..it's not worth it as you won't get any warranties for the repairs done.....besides, HTC will be stopping support for the phone after the next update to 4.2.2 even though the rest of world is on the latest Android versions...so at best you'll have another 2 more months by when your phone will be really outdated both in terms of hardware and software....
u are better off buying Chinese rip-off phones that have equivalent configs as the One X....sorry to say this..

[Q] Dead HTC One V

My out of warranty, overclocked, Sphongled! HTC One V overheated and froze. Shortly, it stopped charging and went Dead :crying:.
The customer service guys say its battery leaked and quoted 10k for fixing it (I bought it for around 17k) Should I try and fidget around the screws and see if I can somehow replace the battery myself? Where can I sell it for a decent price? (Squeaky clean and shining!) Really need your take on this!
P.S. Smartphones are a bad, bad way to lose your money!

Okay so I took my One V apart. I tested the battery with a multimeter, but it doesnt seem to accept charge. Would it be safe to plugin another Li-on 3.7 battery from a different model just to see if the device powers up?
I know i can order an original replacement battery, I want to confirm the problem is indeed with the battery and not with the mobo or somthing before i spend cash on a new battery.

Well i don't think the problem is only with battery....
You can try...
What i think is...sice they say battery has leaked out... So it must have damaged ua IC or motherboard... So better test it...with some battery...before ordering a new one....

Give it a try to see if it works..personally I wouldn't spend 10k on repairs.
Put in a few bucks more and you could buy a better phone..
Tried replacing battery with a 3.7V Nokia . Didnt boot up. Guess the problem is with the Mobo. :crying:
Any of you guys have experience with http://www.karmarecycling.in/eportal/? They quote 2k+ for recyclying my dead phone.

Yes, I am on stock.
Tried that as well still it won't work.
I feel it's hardware issue and there might be issue with mainboard. Any idea on that - cost of motherboard and where can I get it?

I think you need to take it to a service center.
(Wait a bit because I am not exactly the biggest pro out there)
Yes, I will take it to service center. I am not sure if it will be covered under warranty or not.
Any idea on hardware cost if it is not covered under warranty? Any online website where I can see parts price?

The motherboard will cost you anywhere from 8-30€
Or 10-35$.
I think it will not count as warranty

I don't think there is any.
But evaluating the z1 prices.... It should be about 15€
I had that problem once and someone suggested leaving the Phone connected to a power source for a couple of hours and for me after a few hours it finally started to charge. Maybe it could work for you aswell.
Service center replaced MCB for my phone but the strange issue I am facing is with my phone charging. Sometimes it will charge and sometime it won't. Took to service center and there is was getting charged properly. I have tried different chargers so know for sure that it is not a charger problem. It can't be hardware problem as well because the phone do get charged sometime.
Any help?
My XMD is also dead from past few days

I think it will cost you about 30€ (approximately 20-25£, 33-40$).
Correct me if I am wrong.
But weird seems that many xperias are dying...
Guys, a similar problem happened for me. I flashed an official Cyanogenmod nightly, but whenever I turn the screen off, after 5 minutes or so, the device wont turn back on. I have to take out the battery and boot it. Holding down the power button to hard-reboot it doesn't work either.

Thursday given to Sony Centre. Today they called me and mentioned that it'll cost INR 5100/- to repair mother board . I told not to repair then). I plan buy a new phone for 6-7K . Such a costly service from Sony for such type of crap device. I'll never buy an Xperia.Counting days for the second XMD.
What do you think, can it be repaired by grey market local mobile repairing center?

LG G3 D855 turn off at 30% battery.

Hello everyone,
My phone has had weird behavior recently . It's suddenly started to turn off when I still have 30% of battery remaining. And then I plug in my phone to try to charge it, it shows 0%. It constantly repeats. I tried to battery calibrations apps and its methods but it doesn't work. Is my phone battery dead? Would someone give me some advice what I can do in a such situation?

You see, I don't think that is it. I had the same issue this month and bought a brand new battery. The problem remains, 30%-35% of battery left and the smartphone turns off. Non-rooted, stock Android 6.0.
Any ideas folks?
Same problem here !
Hey man I'm having exactly the same problem as u and I still haven't found a fix. This prob first started when I upgraded to marshmallow. I bought another battery as well still its the same problem. So bro have u found any fix ?
I got the same problem on my phone, while playing Pokemon. I bought a new battery and problem solved. But I'm still on Lollipop.
Got the same issue, bought 2 new battery, still the same.
Brought back to shop. Got checked and turns out my motherboard has some issue with the battery IC.
Probably too much abuse (overheated quite a number of times, my bad)
Warranty over, quoted RM800 (USD200~) fix (Replace the whole motherboard). Decided not worth it as I bought it for RM1500 (390USD~).
not necessarily, you can try to heat the controlling system for pcb
You can still get a new MOBO for 60$. I got a 3/32gb one for 55$ and its working like a charm

HTC 10 Not Working After Battery Replacement

The battery of my HTC 10 was in poor condition. The charge was running out quickly. When the battery dropped below 40 percent, the phone was heating up and closing. Recently, the phone heated up again and turned off. I put it in to charger again, but the phone wasn't on. Upon this, I replaced the battery with original one but phone is not turning on and not charging. How can i fix it ? Charger port and cable in good condition. i tried diffrent charger and cable. Still, not working.
Pls help me. Thank you.

What ?
So that's what i get for bringing in ideas, it seems obvious to me that when you say you tried everything and the cables and screen and connections are correct you are pretty much pointed towards a specialist.
"trying to sabotage" ..... I'm baffled with your comment actually. But alright, do and try as you wish i was only thinking out loud but i won't do that anymore.
Good luck with fixing your device.
Kind regards.

I suprised when i saw this comment, "Take it to a repair shop or buy a new phone ......... ". People writing here for help. Telling to people "go repair shop or buy a new phone" is not a good approach at the first comment.

That's your opinion. But it is how it is. That's all i have and can say about it. It may be a too straight forward answer for you but saying it differently won't make a change.
