I was just wondering, how long does the Goldcard Generator website usually take to email the file to you?
It's 12am here in Britain, and I wanted to play around with root on my Desire in bed till about 2ish, but if it takes a while to email to you, I'll do it all tomorrow.
Thanks!
About a minute.

I got a text this morning, it read ...

Apparently I "subscribed" to this service before I rooted when I got my phone replaced the other week.
Trouble is I don't have this app any more as I am using Cyanogenmod, I tried to install it from a backup to no avail, also I am unable to go back to stock either as their is no orange RUU.
Before I call orange and tell them to void my warranty (because I am rooted) and cancel the subscription anyone have any clever ideas??

Try downloading it? http://traffictv.orange.co.uk/
I accidentally subscribed and even with the app, it wasn't the easiest thing to unsubscibe.
Failing that ask OrangeHelpers on twitter to cancel it. Problem is they won't be back until monday. Otherwise play dumb, call customer services don't mention rooting etc...It will be easier for them to cancel it on their system than to talk you through it.
Thanks for the link, i couldn't download the app from their though, got to the last stage and it would just fail.
But I did find an email and phone number for TrafficTV on that site.
Going to give them a call now and get them to cancel it from their end.
Thanks.

Tasker can do it. Not free and quiet a steep learning curve, but once you figure it out it's a great app. On there site you can get 1 week trail.

Hello,
I've had my Evo for about a year now....still not rooted, I know, sorry. I recently rooted my G-tablet, so it will probably come soon.
I'm hopeing someone here can help me (or point me to the correct place to ask) with the sync on my phone.
The other day, the phone started freaking out upon trying to sync with my exchange based email. Gmail syncing works fine, the exchange email works fine on my PC through outlook, and on my Tablet.
When the phone trys to sync it says it needs to download some rediculous amount of emails.....this number goes up every day, as I continually get new emails. It starts to download the emails, but gets stuck at 48, always seems to be 48.
The phone chugs on this until i tell it to stop syncing. I feel naked without my mobile email.
Any thoughts? I haven't changed any settings. I haven't tried to remove and re-setup the email. Maybe that would be an easy fix.
Thanks for any help, I hope to get lots of use from this forum and maybe become a contributor if I actually learn anything, haha.
We, as you haven't done, I would uninstall it, then re-try it, as it could be an easy fix.
Yea a fresh start couldn't hurt so I would give that a shot first. Also, if you have any other questions feel free to ask! You're in the right place! I remember being new here and I was clueless as hell.
Hey all, I am a DInc user, work in IT, and helped a user with an HTC Desire on USCC's network using Touchdown for Exchange. Her phone is unrooted, and we use TD to implement some security for all of our Android Exchange users.
The TD app was hogging 3+ hours of CPU time, pegging the CPU @ 100%, and killing the battery from a full charge in just under 4 hours time. Uninstalling/reinstalling did the same thing, as syncing would get stuck, and then it just would sit. I assume it was trying to connect and sync changes, but nothing I did would fully sync the user's large Inbox.
I emailed NitroDesk. Within two hours, they got back to me with suggestions, and due to being busy was able to look at this today. As I was playing with the user's phone, NitroDesk emailed me their latest beta apk of the application to test it to see if it fixes the issues I was experiencing. I installed it, and it fully sync'd the users Inbox one the FIRST attempt!
Sure they sync took like 15 minutes, but it didn't get stuck like it was prior. I just wanted to post this in the correct device forum, as I deal with crappy customer service on a daily basis. It's great to email a company and have a potential resolution to an issue within a day and a half. All of my emails to NitroDesk have been responded to in timely manners as well. I hope they keep it up!
Back to the DInc forums!
Submitted by device identifier, been waiting for the email with my unlock file for about 15 minutes now.
Not in spam, junk. It's always come instantly when doing this with HTCDEV.
Anyone else experiencing this??
Have you tried to do it a second time?

Just did it a second time, been about 3 minutes nothing yet.
I am having trouble with it as well. I am actually resetting a number of my old devices so I can sell them, one of them being my m8. I locked bootloader too early and need to unlock it again. Sent the code in, but no email yet. Seems it is very slow to send the email out at the minute. I have reset 3 other phones back to factory settings in the time it has taken me to get the email, which I am still waiting on!
Well that is strange. Guess I'm stuck waiting for this dumb email. Not sure why they can't just generate the unlock.bin on the website and have us download it. I hate waiting for automatic emails I always have the worst luck with them.
Edit: well I used the site contact form to send them a message about this, and got a "we received your message" email instantly. COME ON HTC

I think it is just HTC Dev being really slow. I suppose it could have been closer to an hour! I have been factory resetting 4 phones ant once and wiping my 10 and resetting it from scratch on the latest 1.30 software! Busy night
Alright, I used Firefox this time, created a new account with a different email. Submitted my identifier again. Nothing yet.
FINALLY got it lol
Just about finished setting up my 10 now. Need to finish factory reset procedure on my m8 and lock it, but that is tomorrows task!
