Did anyone notice that the screen has these criss-crossing stripes on it? They're only visible at a certain angle against strong light source.
Not saying it's bad or anything, just wondering what it is and what it does.
i noticed this too, like you said against string light. be interesting to know its use..
It´s the capasitive sensing grid
yea thats just the way that the touchscreen works out where your finger(s) is/are. It was alot more visible on the G1.

Well cheers for explaining what it is...

This is probably me being really fussy, but the touch sensitive navigation buttons on my One X aren't as pearly white as the ones on my SGS i9000. They're sort of a white-greyish tone. Anyone else experience this, or have I got a bum set of buttons?
yes mine seems to be somewhat between lightblue and grey. On both my one x devices
no problem for me, i think thats not a bug, just normal

Yeah, that's how I'd describe it actually, bluey-greyish! Okay, cheers for clearing that up!
Yup...mine are also like that.
Can anyone share with me what there screens are like. Mine appears decidedly yellow and im starting to worry that the screen is defective. My HTC One M7 has much bluer tones and I personally prefer it. My M8 just appears dirty!

Might be just me. Im really neurotic when it comes to my tech
I've also got this problem, it might not be that easy to see on the picture I've attached, but you can at least see that the colors are not the same. I've also tested the screen with an app called Screen test, and it seems to completely fail the Checker board test under Resolution and Horizontal resolution (1 pixel) makes the display flicker.

Hmm, quite evident in the picture.. BTW, HOW did you get LEDs in the prox sensor area?

Yeah, but I'm not sure if it's due to the HTC Color Enhancement, or if the screen is bad. The stores says it's just a different color temperature on the screen.
The the light in the proximity sensors are IR captured by the camera, so I can't see it (except through another camera ofc)
Are there any tweaks for the brightness?

I think it's more an angle thing, the LED is so inset that unless you're looking right at it, it's hard to see. It would be awesome to see a screen protector with a little lense over the led to refract the light to a larger viewing angle... wont happen, would be nice.
Yes, I wish the notification light was easier to see. But oh well, not much I can do about it so it will have to be fine.
Glad I'm not the only one, theres got to be a way to make it brighter. Some hidden menu

Exactly, my S3 was so bright. Loved it. Even dimmed it a bit using lightflow.
No all-color notification light would be a deal breaker for me. I'd prefer it to be brighter, but it'll suffice.
Hi.
I bought the mi 6 a week ago, and it's fine, but I noticed that the very top edge of the screen is brighter than the rest of it. I was wondering, is this my device? Or this is a common thing? Its driving me crazy when I am opening apps with a white background (like whatsapp or settings) on low brightness. Can you notice it too?
What is the cause for it?
If its just a very faint brightness just a bit more than the rest of the screen then don't worry.
Its the screen backlight.
I had this on other phones and on certain backgrounds it is more obvious.
If it's seriously more bright then you might want to check if you can get it sorted under warranty.
If its faint just leave it alone and all will be fine.
Just the backlight of the display.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate it.
Hope it's really nothing serious.l, altough I looked at my friend's screen and it didn't have it. Maybe it's a mi 6 thing....

Hi,
Can anyone else see 4 pixels light up when the fingerprint scanner fails to detect fingerprint while being in whatsapp call?
I have attached video of it with 4 pixels lighting up on left
Yeah I've seen it before. Pretty sure it's some kind of sensor under the display. If you are on a white screen, and look closely, you can actually see them.

Hey, thanks for your reply. Does it happens on yours too? I raised it with Samsung support and they are asking me to send the phone to them to check.

Yeah it happens on mine too. I wouldn't pay too much attention to it.
I believe it is the underscreen proximity sensor checking if it is an accidental touch or not
