Ok. In that case, I think we will have to wait for htc to release wm6.5.5 for hd2 with the Sense lock screen

not so fast:

Can anyone share the package?
Thanks

HTC Build 23101

Usually SenseUI replace only system softkeys with its softkeys. Maybe the new SenseUI replace all the bar and not only the keys.

Great, how did you tell wm to launch the OEM lockscreen?

Bump how do I get this to work? I moved everything in the package to windows folder, yet not working?

+1 on this... i dont know why i cant get most OEM stuff to work with the newer builds on WinMo.. Ex. HTC Volume Control, this lockscreen, menu enhancement.. etc.. Is there an EXT that these OEM packages depend on? (Most of my roms are bare bones for speed)
I would like to see if i can help with this, but since i cant even get the LS to launch, its tough to test.

I think that you need to put the reg filer in the registery. Going to try that now
EDIT: Didn't work, weird.
but why is the customlockscreen.dll a folder on my computer?

There are a few requirements for this...
One is that you have all the files and registry settings (that makes WM launch it).
Another possible requirement (I have no idea if this is right or not) is that some branches won't have the custom-lockscreen support, as it was probably requested only by HTC.
The issue with this package generally, is that it's hard coded for HVGA.

that was build 28232, with a lot of new Leo 2.10 packages, just not Sense. All I did was cook in the package and hit the lock button on the start menu.
it's worth noting that when i adjust the sizes of the images, they are only rendered in the HVGA size box as seen in the screenshot. i think modifying the dll is beyond my scope, but i'll keep digging.

I will dig around the DLL, but i am using 23541 and custom lockscreen/volume control/menu enhancment DLL's refuse to load or do anything.. ohh well...
If i find something in the DLL, i will pass it on for further testing.

one workaround is to rename customlockscreen.dll to lockscreen.dll (which essentially replaces the default lockscreen.dll). there's a registry entry to move the black slider curtain up or down, but other coordinates seem to be hard coded into the dll. it doesn't seem to have landscape support (eventhough there are landscape grafix) and the PIN input screen seems broken (can't input any valid PIN and may need to hard reset).
that particular volume control package may only work on photon (and similar) hardware. it's the same case for the newer volume control packages that will only work on rhodium/topaz and not older devices. i got the menu enhancement package working, but there are some graphical glitches. it doesn't look like it's positioned correctly for wm6.5.x yet.
i'd wait for a stable/shipped package before trying to disect it further.

nice workaround, i will start playing with that.. i was ripping through the DLL and the launch functions seem to accept dimensions...

[APP][CAB][WVGA] Rhodium Manila OFFICIAL HTC Programs Tab - ALL BUGS FIXED!!)

I have been searching and searching for the perfect Programs Tab solution for my HD running the Rhodium Manila on Dutty's 3.9 XT Turbo ROM. It's taken me a few days of searching but I finally found it.
Believe it or not, it's not custom, it's not special, its 100% stock made by HTC and it was just waiting for someone to find it!! What could be better than a Programs Tab designed by the same company that designed the interface itself?!?
This is the picture right here that gave me the idea to try this: http://www.tmonews.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/picture1.jpg The US T-Mobile Rhodium is going to have a Programs Tab instead of that corny Start Menu. When I saw this image, I immediately tried the Start Menu/Programs Tab Manila file from the T-Mobile US Rhodium Manila. JACKPOT!!
This cab I threw together fixes the 3 common bugs when you try to enable the Programs Tab and disable the Manila Start Menu.
1. Programs Tab soft-keys stick to all tabs. -FIXED!!
2. When click "All Programs" there is no "Back" soft-key. -FIXED!!
3. When click on program on programs tab, Start menu also pops up. -FIXED!!
This cab will disable the Manila Start Menu, and enable the Programs Tab.
Here's a few screenshots(resized for the sake of everyone):

}
You can download the cab attached below.
Installation Instructions:
1. Disable TouchFlo 3D from Today Settings
2. Copy cab file to device anywhere
3. Install cab file to MAIN MEMORY
4. Soft-reset
5. Re-enable TouchFlo 3D
6. ENJOY!!
NOTES::
1. To Clear the Programs Tab of HTC or your chef's pre-set applications, install my "DHarvey Clear Programs Tab.cab" (This cannot be reversed by un-installing)
2. To get the Green Highlight on the Start Menu, install my "DHarvey Green Start Menu Highlight.cab" (This CAN be reversed by un-installing)
3. My "DHarvey HTC Programs Tab Fix.cab" CAN be un-installed if you decide you prefer the Start Menu instead.
4. My "DHarvey HTC Program Icons.cab" should only be installed if you do not already have them. It CAN be un-installed if you decide you do not like them or no longer want them.
5. Seems to only work on TF3D Version 2.1.xxxxxxxxxxx
6. May make programs tab look very small after installed - see post number 12 for a screenshot of this. I do not experience this issue if you look at my screenshots above. I believe this is due to TF3D being Version 2.0.xxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks for sharing mate!!!
thanks a lot, m8!
works perfectly, Touch HD @ L26 3.0 rom here!!!
You're welcome guys!! I knew I wasn't the only person looking for this so I figured I would post and share my find with everyone!!
lol the amount of times ive played with that and then forgot all about it..
nice find
Hmm Would this work on a stock rom with stock manila? To scared to try..
Can you share the icons of the program tab? i cant find them anywhere...
I see that this cab only modifies 3 registry values. This works for Manila 2.0, but I doubt that this will work for 2.1. Am I correct?
UPDATE: Weird... It DOES work on Manila 2.1 (running Topix 2.3.1.)
hmm.. ran into in issue, but I guess it has to do with one of the other apps I've got installed.
The problem is that the icons and text in the program tab are smaller in size. The position of the program names seems a bit of as well. I don't know where in the registry the size of the icons is, therefore I am not sure about which app causes this. My guess is that it is caused by the "HTC Small Menu"...
The strange thing is that when I uninstall this cab again, the Manilla "Start Menu" displays the correct size.
Anyone else having this behaviour?
EDIT: just did a hard reset and did nothing but installing your cab and I have the "problem" that the icons are too small. It is linked to the one manilla file, but that's as far as I get...

Can't say icon size is really a problem for me. Must be the version of Manila you installed it on as all the custom Programs Tab mods had the opposite effect for me. They made the icons on the Programs Tab huge and cut off parts of the tab off the edges of the screen.

Did you even read the thread title? This is for WVGA and only WVGA. It might get ported to VGA later but I highly doubt that it will ever make it to QVGA since you don't even have the interface to begin with.

WM calculator

Hi Guys,
I am thinking about programming my own calculator for Windows Mobile.
The idea is to get pretty much the same functionality as a normal windows calculator, but then in the mobile version.
Have the main functions in the screen and then at the bottom get a button to pop up a panel with other functions, sorted by calculation type.
I am still open for suggestions, what functionality to put in there.
Btw, I have been thinking about putting the Memory functionality in there or not. Let me know how often you use it.
Feel free to give me input.
Expect the first (basic) version soon.
V0.1 is there. No need to install, just copy right onto ur mobile, will make a .cab file for next update, but don't have time to do that now.
Let me know what you think, looks will change, thinking about having the same lay-out as wm6.5 calculator with the hex letters at the bottom. lemmeknow.
Using HTC calculator.
Sufficient functionality and very pretty design.

what will be different in you calculator other than whats already there in the htc calculator??
I didn't know about the HTC calculator, so I don't know what functionality that one has.
But I will make one that can switch between binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal. And I want all the functionality while in portrait mode.
can you use WM6.5 clacas a base ??

I've started completely over and implemented HEX already, I can probably recreate a similar user interface, won't be completely the same, there I have added the HEX chars (A...F) in the main screen as well, but I still think it's still easy enough to press the buttons.
YES!!!
YES!!! make one! I had the old Winmo version which was brilliant for functionality but **** for design. the htc version looks great, but i hate hate hate the fact that it doesn't have the % function on portrait which i used to use all the time! and even if you use the landscape mode for % it doesn't work the same as the Winmo eg. to add say 11.6% onto 360 was easy - 360 + 11.6 (% sign). you can't do that on the HTC
please make one

By the way -totally kool"r than ice when all buttons announce its value! I can also develope that.

HEy!
It's a good thing that i dropped by this thread... I've been FOREVER looking for a TAPE calculator... just like in Nokia's N-series calculator...
Once you have this. This will make your calculator one of a kind..
MRU features
1. Tape Function
2. Bin, Oct, Dec, Hex
3. Currency Exchange... (It would be best if the rates can automatically be downloaded but if not then a simplified ver will do)
Optional: Floating Pt calculations. (16-bit and 32-bit)
keep us informed.. will be glad to beta test..
hmm, I've never seen that tape calculator. Good one, will try to implement something like that. I already show the calculation at the top. But to get it all underneath each other is nice as well. I might put it underneath all the buttons.
Btw, I am currently only thinking about portrait, I am someone that does not want to have a calculator that is only functional in landscape.
Bin, Oct, Dec, Hex is already implemented (still have some bugs in that part, but is working for 90%)
Haven't thought about currency exchange yet. I might add it in future versions
At the moment I am working on implementing all the functionality of the current windows (7RC) calculator excluding all the special features like the currency exchange and unit conversion.
I'm using most of the programming functions, they are most important to me, but I also want to include the statistics and scientific stuff.

Here is a site with screen shot of the nokia calc
http://tamss60.tamoggemon.com/2008/08/23/nokia-ports-the-s40-calculator-to-s60/
I'm a sales engineer.. so that's why i'm in need of these features... when PLC programming i am using the BIT/DEC/HEX. sometimes Floating point.. but when i'm with client as sales i am calculating long lists of prices... that's when i need the tape feature..
now... if you're getting bored and in need of a challange.. Why not make your calc like Inesoft's CalcNote... I'm using this as my primary calc.. because of its handy features..
http://www.inesoft.com/eng/index.php?in=calcnote.html
just a thought
I will have a look, first thing is to get all buttons, I have now, working.
in the meantime I will think of a way to implement the tape, I could do it underneath the buttons, but that will mean it's not too big, other possibility is to use a gesture and have 1 full screen with the tape so u can see how ur going, but have to use the main screen to do the calculation. Let me know what u think.
Once I have implemented all the buttons to my liking (or not) I will put that one online, haven't worked on it a lot last couple of days, so progress is a bit slower then expected.
hmm, after looking at inesoft's calcnote I realise there is no stopwatch on my mobile... There are probably enough of those apps around, aren't there?

[MOD]SlideHome ~ Changing Backgrounds in the TF3D Home Tab ~V0.81,Tap to Slide!!!!

So..i have made great progress the last days to present you a beta version of Slidehome.
BIG THX to rotastrain for helping me out and giving me inspiration, without you i would have never made it that fast man!!
What is this?
To put it simple, it is a button which turns automatic wallpaper change on and off. nothing more, nothing less.
If you press the button, your wallpaper on the home screen will change every 5 minutes.
If you press the button again, the actual wallpaper stays.
Why Slidehome?
Because it is fully integrated in the TF3D environment. It uses the least ressources i can imagine for such a function and it does NOT slow down TF3D.
What you get in this package:
a new button in the Album Tab for turning it on and off
20 Wallpapers to get started
What you have to do for it to work:
- install the cab
- make a soft reboot
- choose one of the new wallpapers as Background (located in:My Device/Slidehome)
- press the button in the album tab and see the magic begin!
Things to know:
This thing has been tested on Smabergs Touch X (wm6.1)
You can change the 20 picture count to whatever you want now! if you make a custom list with x wallpapers, just change it to x! (HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila/hs_quant)
Of course you can replace any of these wallpapers with your own ones, if you rename them.
You can change the 5 minutes duration for a wallpaper change in the registry (HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila/Sliderange)
So..as this is a beta, please tell me if you have got problems with it and if u like it or not!
Slidehome V0.81 is out now!
(Sorry about 0.80, i got something mixed up in that version, now its fixed!)
Changes:
New function to change the wallpaper by one tap! Just tap on the bottom of ur home screen and the wallpaper will change!

Slidehome V0.75 is out now!
Changes:
Better look & feel because the button looks as he is supposed to!(stays on when slidehome is active)
Picture Count changeable so you can have as many wallpapers as u want in the homeslide folder!(HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila/hs_quant)
only 20 wallpapers included this time, lightweight package! (if you guys are interested in more wallpapers but do not have the patience to rename ur pics or find it too difficult, i could upload some renamed picture packs!(i could make cabs out of these packs, that would be no problem!))
Download: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=38663276776523720121
Functions I would like to add:
You can simply choose a folder and all wallpapers in there will be loaded(very very difficult because it is not possible within lua only. If you would like to help me and know C or C++, please contact me!!)
Here is a great simple tool for renaming ur pictures if you would like to use em:

old post:
Hey fellas,
as I have got a first working prototype of it right now, I kinda felt like i have to share this with you guys!
This is my first project so..be kind!
The title said it all, its all about changing backgrounds on the home tab. I wonder if anybode else has already done something like that before?! (i am sure i am not the first who came up with that idea *laughs*)
At the moment i have a few issues with the slider bar but we will see...!
So it would be cool if you guys tell me your thoughts about this project and contact me if you would like to beta test it or contribute in whatever kind of way! (i have never build a cab before or so but i think i can figure that out )
Have a nice evening and stay tuned,
Daranus
Don't wanna be harsh, but doesn't the settings tab provide that already?
I dont think so?....(I found out that another one has made a program which does it though..thats a pity but true)
Tell me where?...under wallpaper you can only choose one i think?!...that would be just...*laughs*..not cool, if i am just too stupid to find it...anyways:
I make good progress and if i can resolve one issue regarding requiring a lua file i can put out a beta version this evening!!!
edit:
If anyone could provide help there..please do! I would like to call a function from an embedded lua of another mode9 file in a lua from a different mode9.....so i would have to include this embedded lua in whatever kind of way...could anyone tell me how to pull that off?...simply including the mode9 name doesnt work..
or any workaround to achieve that effect?..ty fellas!
hey fellas, just wanna tell ya that the beta version is out now!
test and report if you feel like it!
Big thx again to rotastrain!
It messed up my Rhodium homepage. The album shows an extra button but none of my photos show up like it did before. Seems like it doesn't support TF3D2 for me. Anyone else experieneces this?
I really dun get what this does to be honest !!??
could you please elaborate a bit on it !?!?

I appologize for not reading the heading correctly. This app is intended for X1 only. I used it on my Sprint Touch pro running WM6.5 with TF3D2.
Great concept! I think you're the first to develope this for Manila interface. Any chance to support other platforms such Touch Pro or Diamond?
Thanks
i am afraid im not..as stated in my first post
of course i could try to write it for another version i guess, but you can try the other program out there first!..just search the forums for diamond background changer.
my implementation is more like a mod and that one is more like an app i guess.
it doesn't work for me. i'm running touch X 10.1.
i have the button in the album tab, but the wallpaper doesn't change and there isn't the registry entry
not even the registry entry?!...that would mean the cab didnt install correctly from the beginning i guess?..
please try the new cab i will make..probably tomorrow...!
it should be working if u use touch x though...
new version is out, feel free to check it!
works fine, i searched for the wrong registry key...HKLM instead of HKCU
I have tried installing this on the recent Agent_47 Valkyrie ROM and it does not work. Any fix on this? Thanks
..a bit more explanation would be useful.

sorry about that. The button is not visible. the program loads successfully though
hey man, i have looked up the rom u are using and i guess for the new topaz 2.03 it would be quite some work to port it over.
If there is demand for it i will think about porting it to the new version!
new version is out, feel free to check it out! I for myself love the new function, especially for big wallpaper packs..sometimes you are not in the mood for a certain wallpaper and now, one tap and its gone!

WM 6.5 now has Checkboxes, Push Button, Radio boxes, etc. like WM 6.5.x

Am not sure if this has been introduced or not, but fir the first time since wm6.5.x, i have used a wm 6.5 build and have found this trick on trial.
For many of us using the WM 6.5 is just like WM 6.1 with minor updates, but using WM 6.5.x steps ahead in Graphical User Interface. Well now it possible to have WM 6.5 to have similar Graphic Customizations that you see in WM 6.5.x such as, Check Boxes, Push Buttons, Radio Boxes, etc. Have a look at the screens below, the top images are default WM 6.5 looking but the bottom images are Graphically customized like in latest WM 6.5.x Builds.

^^ wow nice, have u a cab?
Long long time to search this. Thanks man.
nice find....gud for 6.1 users...
what cool thing is that the push buttons never showed up at all places in wm6.5.x but in wm6.5, using the same resources, the push buttons show everywhere. will be working on finding what makes them not work in wm6.5.x. if any1 has an addon then sure let me know.
Isn't this already widely known? I used a 6.5 EnergyROM that had them skinned like that.

am not sure. cud be possible. but it was 1st time i tried wm6.5 build since 6.5.x was launched and found this. it wasnt mentioned anywhere so i posted. does ny1 has a reqson y those push buttons show on 6.5 but not on 6.5.x??
You just need the proper GWES.EXE file. I think 23047 had the best GWES file.... It went away for a while and I just reused my 23047 version.
I'm pretty sure it is standard in later builds because I don't think I still use it. But aside from requiring the graphics, you need the GWES.EXE file.
From the article, it appears that the later WM6.5 GWES.EXE supports the themes but the files are missing (basically). So you just need the image files and a theme that calls to them.

true. but has anyone tried a wm 6.5 gwes.exe on 6.5.3?? i'll do that as soon as i get free this weekend. but if any1 knows it then let us know.
Checkboxes look bad as they are the same size as the text next to them. This was fixed a long ago in 6.5.3, but in 6.5 it is still present.
I am using 21882. Can anyone confirm that on 21888 (or 21889) it was fixed?

And YES, works great also using 21884 build
I use it since 21869
I noticed the following problems:
1) checkboxes appear stretched vertically, if text consist multiple lines
2) In some older programs skins buttons overlap pop-up
But in general looks very good

[APP] Xperia X2 taskmanager for WM 6.5.x (WVGA)

Hi,
I posted this on the HD2/Leo forum a while ago, but I thought it could be usefull for other devices as well.
I modified a dump of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 taskmanager a bit so that it can run on top of windows mobile 6.5.x builds (the builds with the start button at the bottom).
Operation:
- Tapping and holding the clock will close the active application.
- Tap on the clock in the home screen (mostly Sense) will show a list of running applications.
- Tap and hold any item on the list of running applications in the taskmanager will give you the option to close all running apps.
-------
This version will not be overidden by the notification window when tapping the clock, which is the case with some x2 taskmanager floating around.
There are two flavors:

The whole idea of modifying the X2 taksmanager for WM 6.5.3/5 was to get rid of that thing you're pointing to. I've checked the cabs and you really shouldn't get that icon. Maybe you've installed another version (the WM 6.5 version)?
Anyway to get rid of that thing fire up a registry editor and set HKCU/Software/SonyEricsson/TaskmanagerQuickWindow/Options/TaskbarIconBottomIndent to 50 (dec).
(But it's better to deinstall the version you've installed and install the above version, because the versions floating around replace a dll that is part of the core system. And that is not necessary).

I don't really understand you. I think you're saying:
a) you want the bottom x button to close an application instead of minimizing it (I think you can change that somewhere in the system settings)
b) you want to close an app by just tapping on the clock instead of to tap-and-hold it.
c) neither
I like option b. It's nice to minimize by tapping on the bottom x and closing an app. by just tapping on the clock. I will look into that. Maybe the default behavior can be changed. Maybe not though

Hmmm. V2 doesn't seem to bring up the task list when I'm just using the stock Microsoft today screen. It just drops down the top curtain...
I'm about to try V1 & see if it works.
Or does this pretty much require you to have the Sense/Manila UI running in order to use it?

are you restarted your device after installed because mine works fine with 28205 build or launch it manually in program files

Hi, I did have some issues myself with the cab installation with custom roms. It's a weird thing, but on some roms the registry isn't updated as it is supposed to do. I don't have a workaround for this, but try to install the file again next time you flash a new rom.

I installed the V1 edition & that worked, so I uninstalled that, reinstalled V2, & then it started working with that one as well.
At least it's working now though.
Nice Job appelflap. Running on miri 6.5.x v1.2 hd2. I Love it. Thanks
It is useful, thank you.

Thank you!!!
I do it and all become good.
PS: Colors of lines (green) keep from my cab
Thanks may give it a go, as I find the Touch X & Dutty TM's I've tried on my Leo a bit un-responsive. I have one question though, I don't have the clock visable in the top right corner (don't see the point of it - but that's just me), if I install your TM will there actually be an Icon representing the TM there? If not is there a way to enable it?
Deleted. Silly question.
