Wisbar Advance Desktop Themes for WM6?

I've been looking for themes. Found some good ones, but none to match the new ROMS that have been cooked-up. If anyone knows of a great source for some to match our new WM6 ROMS please provide a linky! I'm gonna see if I can take one I have now and edit some of the IMG files to make it better suitable for WM6 Black. So far, Vista is the only WA theme I've used that matches the Black ROM.

You're talking about WisAdvance Desktops? You don't need to stay with Black there are so many things that can be done once it is loaded...that is unless you want to stay with black. I'm using this one and it is pretty effin sweet.
There is also a new mac WBA and WBAD theme that is pretty sweet.

Is WAD still buggy, slow and unstable? Also how much memory does it use?

My memory is still pretty good. I stay between 14mb and 22 mb of program memory. I think bugs and memory issues have a lot to do with the skins you install as well. The iPhone skin soaks up alot of mem and I noticed that whenever I used that skin it WBA and WBAD would just shutdown. When i use less complex skins like....Vista Portable and the one you see here mem and bugs are @ a minimum. So...the skins you select will play a roll in bugs and memory. Always keep that inmind..plus if you are running PIE, Slingbox, and other apps in the background...while using WBA and WBAD...memory will vanish.
I won't say that somethings won't pop up from time to time but...WM is buggy. The PPC platform has NEVER run perfectly even from the CE days. Why do people expect it to? Think about your latpop and MS. BSOD...crashes and such...MS isn't perfect. Why expect the apps that run on it to be?

OK maybe I'll give WAD another chance then.

I'm acutally really enjoying it.

Using WAD, Can you have a button to bring up something like SPB weather? SPB weather is usually only visible under a today screen.
Basically, I want to be able to access SPB weather, but dont necessarily want it showing on the today screen all the time.

I don't think so. That is why I use Fizz Traveller because it is a standalone app with a today plugin. with WBA and WBAD I have fizz set up as a shortcut with a kute lil weather icon and it just brings up the weather for me.
There are other weather apps that people are using with WBA and WBAD that puts interractive weather screens on the WBADesktop. They are sweet. You should check out the Lakeside forums and sneak a peak. It will make you drool.
But...I've had really no issues with WBA & WBAD and WM6.

I'm pretty sure you can. You will need to add a new virtual page. On that virtual page you enable the plugin for SPB Weather. The on your original page you create a button to take you to the virtual page with the SPB Weather plugin.

Does someone know a WA theme that mach the original WM6 blue theme?
I want to keep the default look of the new rom (LVSW here) and get the aditional features of Wisbar Advance (background task icon, task management, configuration of the icons...).

Vista Theme?
To use the vista desktop theme, do you have to manually customize the entire desktop from scratch? I don't see the "theme" file for WAD, I only see it for WA2. I'm so confused?!

anyone get the iconsxt skin to work? I put the dll in the skins folder but i cant see it to use it?

exe file for list or programs?
Is there an executable file to go to the list of installed programs?
For example, without wa2 and wad, if you pressed programs, it would take you to an entire page of programs that you installed and they have large icons.
I am planning to make a shortcut on my WAD2 vista start menu to that same place. I need to find a way to shortcut to that page. So far i've only been able to shortcut to the folder, but that makes it open file explorer and i see the list of program and folders with small icons. Is there any way to point it to the standard programs page with the large icons?

for wisbar advance desktop:
copy osx_WAD folder to into your pda in Themes/desktop/ folder (which is found in Programs/Lakeridge/...)
(root/Themes/Desktop/osx_wad/)
and click theme settings icon in the settings panel or the load wisbar advance and click desktop, select theme manager and select the osx_wad theme
for wisbar advance:
copy osx_WA folder into stroge card or the ramdisk folder.. click wisbar advance settings in the programs/wisbar advance/wisbar advance settings… select custom theme, press customize and press import theme button.. select the osx_wa.skin file which you copied to where did you want and press ok… it’s done!
for dialpad skin:
copy the cab file into your pda phone and run in file explorer.. select the root directory to install.. and reset the phone

Premade Vista WAD theme
Does anyone have, or know where i can get a pre-made vista theme for WAD? Doing everything from scratch is SOOOO time consuming, and frankly, i can't do EVERYTHING to make it all fancy with popping windows, appropriate graphics, and shortcuts.

Roloracer's WM 6.5 theme for Dash (for WM 6.1 users)

Here's a theme I've been working on using icons and dlls off the 6.5 rom.​
This theme is made to be used with the File Changer and Mortscript, that I've included with the Theme pack. For those who don't know what the File changer is , you can check it and learn how to use it here.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413393
I have also included the original glass panel .dla, for those who eventually want to go back to the original panel. I've also included 2 orginal WM 6.5 wallpapers.
All you have to do if you're not using file changer already is, install File Changer & Mortscript, drop the tahoma .ttf on the windows directory, make a folder where you're gonna keep the .cpr and .dla's in, and reboot. Using File Changer , change to the 6.5 .cpr and then choose whatever .dla you want. That's it!
I want to thank Showaco for getting me the files needed for this, and I also want to thank my bud Stylez for his assistance and suggestions on creating the look of the .cpr for this theme.

It should work ! Are you using sliding panel homescreen on your 6.1? If you are, go to the link for change .cpr and dll. homescreen thread at the top of first post, and learn how to use the file changer.

The 6.5 rom is available here on xda but not for the Dash . Is actually a PPC rom as of now, hopefully soon someone will make a smartphone version of it that we can use on the Dash. If you want to see more on the 6.5 rom , check the tilt/kaiser and rhodium/touch pro forums.

i didnt think the 6.5 rom i tried on my old viva was all that great. the in program menus just opened so slow and slow to nav through. hopefully that will be fixed by the time we get it.
i really like the theme, their are maybe one or two icons i would change but pretty damn good looking

hey rolo is there a way you can turn it to a cab like nrgz blue panel?

im having trouble installing this on my dash (i got the rose rom). i put the file changer in my documents (unzipped) and put everything else in a 6.5 folder in my documents. i install the .cab file to my phone, run the file changer and set to the 6.5 cpr and change the .dll and it restarts, but when it does i do not see any change, what am i doing wrong? and what do i use the refresh file for?

I am really sorry, I can't believe I forgot to explain that the panels on the rose rom are different from the regular 6.1 kavana or rickwyatt' remakes
the panels need to be installed in .cabs for them to work, I'll get this squared away and add it to my theme for the use with the rose rom.

hmm that sux man. i like the rose rom, but i have been thinking of going to rickys rom. i used to use it back in the day and i really liked it. ill hang around to see if ya fix it, if not ill flash to rickys rom. also i got a spare dash to test on now, sorta lol

The bars are Thermed wisbars using the Wisbar Adv3 which can be trialed and downloaded at http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/products/pocketpc/WisBarAdvance/. This program you should be able to use on any rom. I've found no need to used cooked rom's so at this stage I would have to say no on this.Tks for your comments.

No sorry I don't as I have no way of testing it.

So can u confirm that it works on cooked rom too ?? Because i still see on the first post that it works for default rom only .
The second thing is how to disable the digital clock at the Home Screen
The last one is which version of manilla should i use because now i'm using rom without manila but just miss my manilla when i saw your works.

No I can't confirm as I don't have a cooked ROM, Don't know what you mean by the Digital clock as you say your not using manila. What ROM you use is a personal choice.

what i did
i installed all the cabs one by one then moved the windows skins separately into the wmp folder as per the instructions, sort of ignored the wisbar
it all then started working after a few restarts but I didn't like the outcome, not sure if I got the full effect of course as I didn't / couldn't follow the instructions.
screen pics here look better on the top of the thread than what appeared on my phone... plus everything slowed down very much.
Again, I didn't follow the instructions per letter so maybe that's why I didn't get the full effect

All Zip's need to be opened on your home computer, CAB files are copied and pasted to your phone usually onto your storage card and then within your phone go to those CAB files and press and Install and follow any Instructions.
The Background are just copied and pasted to your phone and then selected through the TouchFLO settings.
The Ultimate WMP Folder is copied and pasted to your Windows Media Player folder on your phone and then selected through the menu options when you boot up your media player.
The Instructions are detailed as to how you get the wisbar on and to get the full affect you will need this. Just place it's folder on your storage card and then follow the instructions.

You have to press on the tab the has "wallpaper" on manila settings one home page. Make sure its set to "D"

I tried several things, included the different wallpaper settings, all which didn't work.
I did a hardreset twice. First installing your theme, then max manila 2.6
or max first then your theme, but the result is the same. No wallpaper
I also can't seem to find where the wallpaper is stored on my phone.

i found the possible reason, maybe the wallpaper settings have been changed in max manila 2.6 as i made this one the 2.5 version.. il try to fix this issue

Did you fix this? If not try uninstalling and reinstallign the theme seeing as no one else is having the same problem.

Great themes. I've downloaded and installed them on my HTC hermes wm 6.1 Manilla 2D cooked rom from xda. I however can't activate them to use for some reason. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
BTW forgot to tell, can't see these themes in Settings > today either and donno how to get them there.

They won't work on yours since you don't have a phone with WM 6.5,
manila 3d sense 2.5 on it and the homescreen mod max manila ultimate.

I really like your themes, especially the trasparent one. My only complaint would be a request for a darker or maybe a red version of that. Since I hate blue, the little arrow tab at the bottom with teal blue bothers me. Besides that though it works great and I like the feel of it. Get rid of the blue and I will have a perfect theme.

[APP] Xperia X2 taskmanager for WM 6.5.x (WVGA)

Hi,
I posted this on the HD2/Leo forum a while ago, but I thought it could be usefull for other devices as well.
I modified a dump of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 taskmanager a bit so that it can run on top of windows mobile 6.5.x builds (the builds with the start button at the bottom).
Operation:
- Tapping and holding the clock will close the active application.
- Tap on the clock in the home screen (mostly Sense) will show a list of running applications.
- Tap and hold any item on the list of running applications in the taskmanager will give you the option to close all running apps.

This version will not be overidden by the notification window when tapping the clock, which is the case with some x2 taskmanager floating around.

It works on vga. Except that I have sometimes troubles to activate it...

The whole idea of modifying the X2 taksmanager for WM 6.5.3/5 was to get rid of that thing you're pointing to. I've checked the cabs and you really shouldn't get that icon. Maybe you've installed another version (the WM 6.5 version)?
Anyway to get rid of that thing fire up a registry editor and set HKCU/Software/SonyEricsson/TaskmanagerQuickWindow/Options/TaskbarIconBottomIndent to 50 (dec).
(But it's better to deinstall the version you've installed and install the above version, because the versions floating around replace a dll that is part of the core system. And that is not necessary).

I don't really understand you. I think you're saying:
a) you want the bottom x button to close an application instead of minimizing it (I think you can change that somewhere in the system settings)
b) you want to close an app by just tapping on the clock instead of to tap-and-hold it.
c) neither
I like option b. It's nice to minimize by tapping on the bottom x and closing an app. by just tapping on the clock. I will look into that. Maybe the default behavior can be changed. Maybe not though

Hmmm. V2 doesn't seem to bring up the task list when I'm just using the stock Microsoft today screen. It just drops down the top curtain...
I'm about to try V1 & see if it works.
Or does this pretty much require you to have the Sense/Manila UI running in order to use it?

are you restarted your device after installed because mine works fine with 28205 build or launch it manually in program files

yeah, soft reset a few times & it just doesn't come up when i press on the clock.

Hi, I did have some issues myself with the cab installation with custom roms. It's a weird thing, but on some roms the registry isn't updated as it is supposed to do. I don't have a workaround for this, but try to install the file again next time you flash a new rom.

I installed the V1 edition & that worked, so I uninstalled that, reinstalled V2, & then it started working with that one as well.
At least it's working now though.

Thanks may give it a go, as I find the Touch X & Dutty TM's I've tried on my Leo a bit un-responsive. I have one question though, I don't have the clock visable in the top right corner (don't see the point of it - but that's just me), if I install your TM will there actually be an Icon representing the TM there? If not is there a way to enable it?
