i posted the begining of my problem somewhere on monday but cant remember where. so.....
on monday, the screen on my tmobile dash messed up, now the top half of the screen has white horizontal lines covering it.
well, i called tmobile and the phone was still under warrenty, so got a like new phone sent and it arived today. I went about unlocking it and upgrading to wm6.1 like i had on my last phone. started out with all sorts of problems sycning and i had to reinstall active sync and that seemed to fix it. continued installing the upgrade, the dos program runs i press the center button and i get the red blue green screen and i know from before that that normally means it isn't working, so i reboot the phone, re sync, and re do it and get the red green blue screen again and the update program says it can recover and it leads me through a four step process, upplug, pull bat, reboot and do it again, only it reboots into the red green blue screen, wouldnt sync and when i turned it off, i couldnt get it to power back up. no response from the phone at all. pulled battery many times and all.
What are my options? I know that i agreed to the statment and i have no one to blame but my self. is there anything i can do? i have 7 days to return the half working phone, and i have a feeling that because its unlocked and has wm6.1 on it that tmobile is going to charge me what ever it will be. I have 200.00 in credit with um, and i feel that those fees will take away from that, leave me with an un usable phone, and no money to do anything about it !
a brainstorm, could i just tell tmobile that i got the phone that way? or would they see through my lies?
please please please please help!!!

Okay do this, make sure the phone is off and hold the camera button down for about 5 seconds... this button is located to the right of the keyboard. While still holding it down plug in the phone to the usb and now you should see a tri-colored screen come up. Now you can load the original rom the phone came with... The official roms could be found in the link below... called "official roms" and just download the t-mobile rom... and now you can flash your phone with the original rom...

Ok, I had found a forum post saying to hold down the SYM button, but couldn't get it working untill I read your reply. Much thanks, the phone is on, and giving me the red green blue screen. I hear the windows alert saying a USB device is plugged in, but active sync wont pick it up. So I'll post about it here, and while I dig through the internet trying to find my cure, I will hope that someone will know what my next step is.

jdoggraz already told you what to do. YUou do not have to wait for active sync to pick the phone. Just run the exe for the orginal rom.
I have tried to do a hard reset.
Hold the 2 softkeys down(the "-" on each end) for a few seconds, hot the power button down for 2 seconds and then hold the 2 softkeys down and wiat, but nothing happens. Donno why, but may be not being able to hard reset is a clue to whats wrong.

I have found something about a program called Mtty.exe, and also a UNI_ExitBootLoader But I get a "un able to connect to usb" error with both programs when I try to connect. But, once again, every time I plug the phone into the computer I hear the alert saying a usb device has been attached??

I just noticed in Device Manager, under Window CE USB Devices, that my Smartphone USB Sycn Has that nasty Yellow explanation mark next to it.
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

why are you resetting it? you were at the bootloader screen in your last post...right where you needed to be. now you are 2 steps back?
Sorry guys, I guess I wasn't getting a refreshed look at the forum post, and I didn't see any other posts. I went back to what I was told to do in the first place.

An update.
I have gotten wm5 installed and working on my phone. I can't for the life of me get the 6.1 update to work. I get the agreement, press the center button and it goes back to the OS, the phone then locks up, and I have to restart it to re sycn.
This is very time consuming! The phone takes for ever to start. I also want to note that I upgraded my last dash with little problems, but this dash has been nothing but a head ache. WHY?!?!? I am not looking forward to being stuck with this phone.
Thanks everyone, for all the help. I went a little off course last night, I was falling asleep trying to get this thing working.

A few months ago I dropped my dash and cracked the screen, it still worked, could still dial, could still recieve calls.. just couldent see anything.
I ordered a G1 and in the closed the Dash went.
Well, no I need to add a 2nd line to my account, and I need a 2nd phone.
So I figured I would order a new screen for the dash and just use it. Being prudent I decided to first make sure it still worked, I put it on a charger and the light came on showing it was charging.. ok, good deal..
I let it charge a while, popped in my sim, and powered it on, figured I would make a test call and such.
Well the screen lights up solid white (no suprise.. its broke) and after a few seconds.. the phone just starts beeping the alarm tone.. then it starts beeping it again over top the first.. and again and again untill there is this cacophony of racket, I have to pull the battery to stop it.
it worked fine (aside from the screen) when I "retired" it, but now it just freaks out.
I tried hooking it up to the computer, the light one the phone comes on, but thats it, the PC doesent see the phone.
Obviousley Im rather nervous about the idea of buying a new screen and going through the trouble of installing it on a phone, that best I can tell.. is totally screwed up..
any ideas on what I should do?
P.S. I can post a video of the insanity if that will help.
Have you tried the first natural response when things go wrong "a Hard-Reset" ?
Ok, i tried a hard reset, best I can tell it worked (no visual cues)
it no longer does the funky chicken on start up, but it doesent do anything else either.
I put my sim in it, let it boot up, tried calling it from another line and it just went straight to voicemail.
and if u conect to the pc, anything happen?
2ndly, try removing the battery, put it back then hold camera button and whilst still holdin it press the power button, wait for some 3 seconds then release em and then coonect to pc, check in device manager if anything shows up....
updates......
Check in comm manager if the phone is on or if in flightmode etc.. If not next step is to re-flash stock and see if the problem still persists?
keep in mind the screen is broken, i cant see anything.

lol can't mem reading that but if can get sync then MyMobiler will let you see the screen

A few hours ago i was browsing the xda portal when i found a thread about someone booting win 95 on his HTC Himalaya.... so i found it a little bit interesting so i want to try it out myself..... just few minutes later i googled some info and find out that need to increase my screen resolution by nyditot virtual display software....then i just download the trial version of it and try it on my BA.....however, my device wont pass the tricolor bootscreen(first one that is) and it just freeze there.....so i tried to remove the battery and luckily my device boot normally afterwards...dammit that app...so i go to settings and remove that sh**ty app..after that, i power off my device and put it into the cradle to charge it..my ba lights up as it detect the charging...but i just saw a white screen instead of a display...it shocked me and the first thing that i do was to soft reset it...however, after soft reset,i tried to power off and power on my phone..then the same as before a white screen,,,i also tried setting the screen to blank by using core player options... the screen didn't went blank as if it was powered off...but it seems that i can still see the display like just the backlight is turned out...however touching the screen wont do anyting....i need help asap as i need to use my device to finish my assignments...well the only possible solution that i'm seeing right now is just a hard reset...but i dont want that..recently just got everything working on my BA(wi-fi, mms, psx games,etc that i dont want to lose)help me , please.....

Well, uninstalling nydiots might have messed some drivers up. Sorry to tell you this, but I think that your only option will be hard reset. BTW, I edited your post a bit... watch the language we have kids around the site, you know?
yeah, sorry bout that....i was really upset that time....but now i've found a solution....luckily i dont need to do a hard reset...i reinstall the application again(nothing much to lose...)and realised that in the application folder there was a shortcut named "vd restore"(what else should that mean...)used that and viola, everything was back to normal...then, later, i downloaded nyditot vd the latest version and it worked....just that it was too slow maybe because of the scaling...and titanium wont work...maybe it need it's own cpr....so i want to request anyone here who have it, vga titanium .cpr file please post it for me....will continue to explore what i can do with this application...and btw, thanks mr.egzthunder1 for replying....

If you have no clue how to generate/get one or just don't feel like it, someone has uploaded one for use. I personally know how to do this but thought I'd share since there is a RHOD ts-calibration file in our thread...

i put all the files in internal storage n took statup for my file in root direc of internal memory thn i started haret after completing the flying andriod logo appers and after sometime windows came andriod the lock screen but when i pressed menu diamond freezes and i have to reset my device and then i again strt haret and again on andriod main screen i lft my phne for 5 mins the li8 goes off and whn i pressed power button my diamond was actually turned off already

How many times have you attempted to reboot thus far? Have you attempted to also delete the file called data.img and let the system recreate it? Also, are you using the most up-to-date kernel package and rootfs?
i did that many times i ws trying since 4 hrs nw my phne batry is dead also haha chrging it again to try again

You shouldn't touch the font panel while it is booting; only after the boot animation. You will need to monitor it for the initial boot so that it doesn't do anything crazy while it is finishing up the initial boot process. I usually tap and hold the notification bar(very top bar) once every few seconds, till it displays the date. Once I notice the response is quicker then I set the display timeout for longer than 2 minutes; 10 minutes is good 30 even better. In addition, I usually download and install batterybooster (free from the market) once I get a chance and set it to never time the display out. I find it easier to manage by manually turning off the display.

hey i managed to run andriod but u knw after some time my phone back button stopd working and when i presed it make my phne screen off and phne is heating lil bit

You'll need to set that under Spare Parts. You can change the behavior to when you press the End key it takes you to your home screen instead of turning off your screen. OR just set it to do nothing.
Plus, the capacitve panel on RAPH/DIAM is notoriously bad in Android. We probably haven't implemented the drivers correctly, but the main source of the problem is there's only two physical buttons for 4 actual buttons. So you have to determine where the finger is to relate which button is actually being pressed, and Android seems to get confused at times which one you're pressing.
When I had a RAPH, I noticed that if I started at the corner of the button and made sure it lit up before pressing the button, it would work every time. Real PITA, but it is an old phone .

Whenever I turn off my tablet and than press power button it takes a long time for my screen to appear 20-60 secs .. This is really annoying and only today didni get this problem I'm running cm11 4.4.4 also earlier I was stuck booting up for around 10 minutes .. Getting real annoyed here ALSO so now I got it to turn on like I said it takes a long time 20-60 sefs and I'm updating to the latest cm11 nightly like 5 versions ahead of the one I had .. Its taking a long time to boot the cm boot is making a lagging circle and last time I booted it took 10 minutes so once that done it has to upgrade all the apps..
Always having problem's with android devices everytime .. Thinking strongly about just switching to another platform like iOS even though its locked down like heck and boring people never say my iPhone or iPad can't boot up ..
