Hello
Do you remember an awesome game called DooM RPG??
I used to play it on my N73 and I loved that game.
I always wondered if it possible to play it on HD or port it or whatever.
So, there we go...DooM II RPG is out and works WVGA flawlessly
YEAH!
Not going to be any cop without physical buttons to control it and only a touchscreen though is it.
Well there is onscreen control and it is really good...you have directional arrows and center action button + by swiping left or right you strafe...very simple yet nonproblematic I rly enjoy that game
Can you post a link for download ?
google is your friend my friend

on the HTC blackstone were missing out on loads of games because we have no d-pad is the no way of creating a touch mini contoller at bottom half of screen?
I hope someone will do it soon, it would be wonderful
if you use the search function you should get results with people posting about about touch controllers that will sit at the bottom of the screen (since almost no game has a native resolution of 800x480). Which is also how you can run various emulators (like nes)
The problem with such a bottom-controller is that the screen is not capable to recognize more than one press, so you can just press one button at once.
Asphalt 4 is available for the HD now. it has a soft pad at the bootom to controll and it looks like gameloft will release more and more games with such an interface specialy for wvga devices.
but the graphic and the gameplay sucks. it's not fun at all. it's not worth a dollar.
Why not invest in a external game pad? It wouldn't be that big and you would only bring it when you know your going to be bored.
Hi there,
I'm just a noob and curious about joystick development.
I was just thinking while playing morphgear on my htc touch pro 2.
Are there any joysticks that can be used on the key mapping of morphgear???
mini usb?? bleutooth?? other?? any developments???
It would so awesome to make a snes are nes controller work on the htc
becouse the keyboard sucks and the touch screen 2.
I even play guitar and have small long fingers but i keep failing even on super mario bros levels world 1 haha
Oh and sorry 4 the bad english i'm dutch
theres a bluetooth gamepad for windows mobile, it works with morphgear BGP100 i think is what its called you will have to get the drivers from here though the ones that come with it are not compatable with the Rhodiums bluetooth stack, and it works grate for mario:-D
thnx
Thnanx a lot thats awesome

CPS2HD Emulator - http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.jrioni.cps2hd
I also have a few of them running with Gensoid. Street Fighter II Turbo is the better one.

I'd love to play games like this on my Desire (or iPod Touch for that matter), but the fact remains that playing a game like this on a touchscreen must be nigh on impossible.
I know wii accessories can be used on non-Sense ROMs, but is there another option?

You might be very surprised; I was
I grew up during the heydays of Master System, Mega Drive and Nintendo gaming so I remember these titles and their play very well. If you can avoid sweaty fingers and a smudgy screen making your joypad swiping near impossible... it works very well actually. I've played many such old skool games on it.
I'm not sure if you've tried any of the emulators but they basically change your screen into a joypad with re-arrangeable buttons and the lot of them movable around the screen. The buttons available can be chosen along with their transparency. The battery drain is lower than typical multimedia usage.
Me trying to kill Ryu just now (tough nut - uploaded from phone) -> http://db.tt/Z1bCnK
Looks like I made Chun Li cry -> http://db.tt/fUKTSz
Those are direct screenshots during play. Put those images on the phone in landscape mode and maximize until the height hits the edge. That's exactly what the size of the game display you'll see.

Morning all,
Sorry if this has been posted before on other parts of the forum but can anyone comment on the use of keyboards for games on Android? Specifically, I find the on-screen controls that a lot of the emulators and other games use (scumm) very difficult to use. Remapping a keyboard on the device would take me back to my days playing WinMo games on a Orange M1000 with keys on each side of the screen - ideal for emu games and the like.
Can the android devices have their hardware keys on the keyboards remapped easily and can tey handle multi touch (two keys pressed at a time)?
Matt
interesting post, would want to know also.
Gonna play Zelda and Mario till i die !
I too had the Orange M1000 and was wondering the same thing about the Desire Z. Would be amazing if it's possible.
Of course some software supports it, that's half the point of having a keyboard IMO.
Here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2407W5bIae8&feature=player_embedded
i think it can.
i have a G1 and even the G1 can handle multiple keys pressed at once!
i played the snes, gameboy and nes emu on my phone. Even Quake3
works nice pressing multiple-buttons at once!
Yep indeed,... SNESoid working flawlessly here,.... I love this little beauty!!!!!
Thanks for the replies. I've ordered a Desire Z today for my upgrade. I'd say that the ability to use the keyboard for emulating games was a major part of the decision.
Hey guys/gals, about 2 hours ago Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto 3 for android... and it runs GREAT on out A100's! Market Link and its 4.99 attached is photo of it running on my A100! Youtube video of it playing
confirmed. I used my sixaxis app to hook my ps3 remote to it and then the acer to the tv. It works if you remap all the controls. I havn't found a way to remap the punch/shoot button. So I can drive and get out of cars and even jump with the remote, but not shoot. If anyone figures it out please post.
Did you have to side load it?

No, just go the market and get it.
The game makes me remember so many good memories, the first and one of the best ever 3D games made!
The game runs even better then on the PS2/PC (No loading, or just around 15 seconds to load the game from the menu!!!)
The only thing I dislike is the car control, turning a car is the same as full throttle steering... (Simple left and right arrow)
Why did they do that
If only they would use the same pad for running to control the cars, I would play it even more then I do already!

It is good, but not the first 3D Game made, that honor goes to Monster Maze-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_Monster_Maze
It debuted in 1981, I was 10 at the time It was followed closely by Dungeons of Daggorath in 1982- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dungeons_of_Daggorath .

Go into options/controls then you put ON (use analog stearing)
As for the game I taught it was a tablet specific newly built version of GTA3 but its just a converted pc version of the game modded for Android touchscreen.... I have completed this game so many times its easy but oh well I never could take it in my pocket
