Joystick - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hi there,
I'm just a noob and curious about joystick development.
I was just thinking while playing morphgear on my htc touch pro 2.
Are there any joysticks that can be used on the key mapping of morphgear???
mini usb?? bleutooth?? other?? any developments???
It would so awesome to make a snes are nes controller work on the htc
becouse the keyboard sucks and the touch screen 2.
I even play guitar and have small long fingers but i keep failing even on super mario bros levels world 1 haha
Oh and sorry 4 the bad english i'm dutch

theres a bluetooth gamepad for windows mobile, it works with morphgear BGP100 i think is what its called you will have to get the drivers from here though the ones that come with it are not compatable with the Rhodiums bluetooth stack, and it works grate for mario:-D

thnx
Thnanx a lot thats awesome

Anyone have suggestions for good game emulator for artemis?

I'm currently using a MAME emulator for Atari games but I'd like to play some NES games too. But before I go down loading different emulators, I was wondering if there's one specific to the Artemis since it doesn't have a regular D-pad.
Well there is ScummVm for PPC ... but this Emulates only the old Lucas Arts Adventures (Indiana Jones, Monkey Island etc.)
For NES Games I would try MorphGear (has a on wikipedia entry).
Wel hope this helps and hapy gaming.

ScummVM is excellent, LOOM is an epic trip down memory lane.
That´s True
i wonder if there is some sort of joystick or mini-d-pad to plug into artemis mini-usb and some emulator be compatible with that. because playing with the trackball is really horrible, unless you only play arcanoid ^^
NO, there is no such Device until now - as far as I know. The only button equiped mini USB Cable I can think of is the E100 Headset from HTC. This device has a play, stop, foward ,rewind button and is provided with an driver .dll. Maybe one could use this as a base for a Homemade Controller? using an old NES controler and remap the appropriate buttons shouldnt be that hard On the other Hand the Game Emulator should be capable of Buton-remamping.... then maybe this setup would work quite well.

DooM II RPG WVGA is out and Kicks A$$

Hello
Do you remember an awesome game called DooM RPG??
I used to play it on my N73 and I loved that game.
I always wondered if it possible to play it on HD or port it or whatever.
So, there we go...DooM II RPG is out and works WVGA flawlessly
YEAH!
Not going to be any cop without physical buttons to control it and only a touchscreen though is it.
Well there is onscreen control and it is really good...you have directional arrows and center action button + by swiping left or right you strafe...very simple yet nonproblematic I rly enjoy that game
Can you post a link for download ?

[ASK] somebody tried GAMEBOID on android at tytn ii??

i'm very enjoyed play gba in tytn ii! but, the pocket gba on wm 6 is so bad. lag on tytn ii (i dont know if there was a plugin for htc perofrmance. i never found and never try )
so, how was the android? is it lag on the OS it self? and anyone has installed GAMEboid, THE GAMEBOY ADVANCE emolator on android? how is it going? really nice? or better? or bad?
i saw on youtube somebody played with htc dream. so perfect!
thx
sorry my english so bad
I haven't tried GAMEBOID, but I have used Nesoid, Gensoid, and SNESoid. Seeing as it's the same developer, can't image it working any different.
The emulators work perfectly, except that you need to remap the directional buttons, otherwise you can't perform more then 1 action at a time. I use WASD personally.
Considering how bad Genesis and Snes is on Wm 6, I'd definitely switch to Android for all you classic gaming needs. Even Nes is better, cause it sounds better. PocketNester has horrible sound emulation, but Nesoid sounds perfect.

Why don't you just boot up HaRET and try it? It doesn't take long, is simple to do, and then you'd know the answer.
Hell, you could even flash an Android ROM. If you don't like it, it's not hard to go back to WM...

I have tried it running under HaRET using an off-brand class 6 MicroSD and it works great after I set the aspect ratio to "original". However, with TyTN II (Kaiser) the original aspect ratio actually looks great IMO the size is about the same as the screen.

[Q] Keyboards and games

Morning all,
Sorry if this has been posted before on other parts of the forum but can anyone comment on the use of keyboards for games on Android? Specifically, I find the on-screen controls that a lot of the emulators and other games use (scumm) very difficult to use. Remapping a keyboard on the device would take me back to my days playing WinMo games on a Orange M1000 with keys on each side of the screen - ideal for emu games and the like.
Can the android devices have their hardware keys on the keyboards remapped easily and can tey handle multi touch (two keys pressed at a time)?
Matt
interesting post, would want to know also.
Gonna play Zelda and Mario till i die !
I too had the Orange M1000 and was wondering the same thing about the Desire Z. Would be amazing if it's possible.
Of course some software supports it, that's half the point of having a keyboard IMO.
Here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2407W5bIae8&feature=player_embedded
i think it can.
i have a G1 and even the G1 can handle multiple keys pressed at once!
i played the snes, gameboy and nes emu on my phone. Even Quake3
works nice pressing multiple-buttons at once!
Yep indeed,... SNESoid working flawlessly here,.... I love this little beauty!!!!!
Thanks for the replies. I've ordered a Desire Z today for my upgrade. I'd say that the ability to use the keyboard for emulating games was a major part of the decision.
