Does anyone know how to make the Broadcomm/Widcomm bluetooth stack work under WM6.5 (I am getting this under build 23518, and haven't tried any other versions of WM6.5, device is Asus A626 pocket pc)? I keep getting message in both the settings manager and the initial bluetooth manager about a missing component or resource. What component could it be referencing, and how can I fix it?

Define the ver of your broadcomm. Normally my old stack (original) from wm6.0 works without issues in 6.5 builds. It's 1.7.1.9701 as far as I remember

You mean - to make my stack applicable for BT MS devices? No, that does not work. It's OEM hardware driver.

You are wrong.
The latest broadcomm BT stack that can be found in IPAQ WM5 devices is
VALUE "ProductName", "WIDCOMM BT-PPC 1.7.1 Build 1200"
VALUE "ProductVersion", "1.7.1 Build 1200"
But obviously it is useless for other devices.
There is:
VALUE "ProductName", "WIDCOMM BT-PPC/PE 1.0.0 Build 3900"
VALUE "ProductVersion", "1.0.0 Build 3900"
in a CAB file somewhere on this site, but I don't think that it can be used on IPAQs without modifications. Nor it can be used on WM5.
The version 1.0.0 b3900 is higher than 1.4.1.59 because Broadcom reseted version numbers when it bought Widcomm.
Hi guys,
I got my HT820 stereo headphone.
Everything is okay, except the Audio interruptions (5-8 seconds) I face once in every 25-30 seconds.
I am sure, many of you would have gone through this issue and got it solved.
Find below my ROM configurations and let me know how to overcome this problem.

A2DP registry hack to avoid Audio Interruptions
Hi James72,
Many thanks for your reply. When I could not copy .ddl files into windows.
It says "read only" or "no memory". I tried it by exploring in Activesync.
I also uploaded the tornado's registry hack files in this message.

I use this:

Does this mean, even Lt.Cmdr.Ivan's ROM with AKU 3.2 still experiences the BT lag issue?
I wanted to try his ROM, but if this problem is there too then I'll wait a bit till December to do a full install.
Many users have asked for the WM5 AKU 3.3 source of my custom ROM for the MiTAC Scoter (AKA MioA701, Mio A700, MEdion MDSP1000, etc...) R020.65a.66.3.3 (AKU 3.3). I actually got the official release of AKU3.3 from the ROM release for the UBiQUiO 501, version 3.00.00. I just used the Mamaich's imgfs_tools and voila! I got a dump folder. Then I applied Bepe's DSMtool and it creates the SYS folder with all the OS packages for WWE. After that it is easy to get the packages into the kitchen.
Enjoy the M$ official AKU 3.3

Oki
Cool... thanks man
thanks already ported it for blueangel, i am just flashing it
the another rom that need atention is Herald 1.8 rom
And it works, now it needs a little polishing and wil be perfect
I was unable to port the core but except that everything works just fine
Update: the rom is faster than 3.2, but (there is always but) the phone part of WM does not work, the leds are blinking as normal, show that it has full range, but you can not make a call , and if you open phone related thing the device crashes... but beside this AKU 3.3 is more fast and secure i guess
Noticed more mobile sites are talking about this AKU3.3.
Changes (according to Modaco):
- WPA2 support for WiFi
- improved application for using the device as a modem
- Radio frequency has been fine tuned, should take shorter time to catch radio signal and the roaming problem should be solved
- Protection on the gsm parameter file, will not be corrupted by 3rd party software
- “●” displayed as “123” & “abc”
- Wi-Fi has been fine tuned, please note that IEEE 802.11 b/g means it works with 11g protocol but in the speed of 11b (11Mbp)
- Bluetooth & A2DP has also been fine tuned and fits most of the headset
- Stability been improved
Waiting for some genius to make it compatible with the HTC Wizard/Prophet

If/when there's a 'clean' ROM for G3 then do let is know!
so how did you use imgfs_tools to extract? the ROM is a .DIP and no matter how I try I cant seem to extract anything using imgfs_tools. Thanks for any help.
~mike
first prepare_imgfs WMUPDAT.DIP -nosplit
or you can rename it to nk.nba and do it like usual but with nosplit option, or it will give an error for viewimgfs

Thx xplode! I really appreciate it.

Quick question for you ROM gurus... the files extracted with viewimgfs, can a file be copied directly to the PPC to use?
Is it missing header info, signature, etc. that would prevent it from working?

It depends on the file that you want to get from this ROM. most of them are signed or they are not files but modules, this makes it even harder to export. anyway you can always reconstruct it using itsme's tools or mamaich's tools and that's all. All the data files are not signed and you can use them with no problem... but, do not mix databases from different AKU, they can be different.

Universal Broadcomm Stack (Test)
This is an earlier stage of porting Broadcomm Stack to universal device so something might not work, or not work very good...hopes that I didn't forgot something... and dont expect everything to be perfect... its still on test stage...
Tested Operation (On My AKU3.5/Crossbow):
- Headset/Handsfree (Tested With Nokia BH700)
- A2DP (Tested With My PC)
- File Transfer (Tested With Nokia phones, Desktop PC, PocketPC, HP Ipaq)
- Networking / LAN Access with my pc
- Bluetooth ActiveSync
- Bluetooth Serial Port
- Business Card Exchange (Object Push)
- Connect to internet via other Mobile Phone (BT DUN With Nokia 6165i CDMA Phone)
Untested operation:
- Bluetooth SAP Profile (Broadcom Version)
- Bluetooth PAN Profile
The instalation is quite complicated a bit, I've already talk with vijay about this,
hopes that he'll come out with app that will switch between the two stack only with soft-reset (app that will read *.ini input is enough, or read *.reg is more cool), cos My v1.1 crossbow is hv this stack built in (Dual bluetooth stack capability), u just need to activate it, so user might switch between the two stack easily with softreset only.
Instalation:
1. Install SIGN_UNIBR176.0500.CAB
2. Restart.
Uninstall:
1. Install ActivateMSBT.CAB FIRST.
2. Restart
3. Uninstal/remove Broadcomm Stack.
I need everyone to be involved with this one... any input is more then welcome... lets work together guys and make this stack better...
Get the file here:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Universal/Cooked_ROMs/helmi_c/UNIBR176.0500.zip
Unsigned
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Universal/Cooked_ROMs/helmi_c/UNSIGN_UNI1.7.6.0500.zip
UnRoute.exe are taken from superdave. Some parts of the stack is taken from Fujitsu Siemens T830, some from ASUS P525.
I still need couple of files, Anyone have T830 rom dump??
I've some work with apache device, from its configuration, it should work also with apache... I dont know, I dont hv the device..
regard,
Helmi
Lol SWEET
Read your pm just a second ago
Looks like i'm the first to dive in.
It's friday here so I'll prolly install it right away and test it over the weekend.
dips on the work dude
I tried to install it several times, but everytime I get the message 'Installation of SIGN_UNIBR176.0500.CAB was unsuccesful.'
I'd love to give it a try...
I am unable to install the SIGN_uNI cab file, I tried installing to device and storage. I'm using Helmi 3.5 rom 1.3.1.
Looks like I'm not the only one
I'm using the WM6 crossbow rom
I've tried:
Close app
disable BT
install (no success)
soft reset
flight modus on (no success)
hmm... I'll post the unsigned one...
EDIT:
check this setup.

OK, able to install the unsigned one...Thnks
Unsigned version installs fine on my Aku 3.3 Apache. BT starts and the blue light blinks. Unfortunately, my stereo headset is in my car so I can't test it. I'm really confident it will work fine.

If it also work on my AKU3.3 for Apache then maybe I'll built in ROM in my next Apache Custom rom, thats will be cool, with ability to switch between stack, but I just can't find time to create the switching app...
Working with Sony-Ericsson HBH-DS970 (stereo) Fine! Thanks!
Thanks helmi_c, I find it super!!!
It works Perfect with i.Tech Clip R35!
Thanks Helmi
Working perfectly with VC 1.6 as well.
I know I speak for everyone with an Apache when I say that we are eagerly awaiting your next custom rom!
working with cario scala 500. Good range too, a lot better than ms stack.
Hmmm... I get an "BT Radio failed to turn on due to Insufficient driver memory available..." error on a Vanilla AKU3.5 rom (helmi's own vanilla rom). I've got nothing else installed, it's clean...
Strange, does anyone know what to do?
TIA!
hi
please can somebody post the link where can i get the ActivateMSBT.CAB
thanks so lot

Do we install your Bluetooth stack AS WELL AS uninstall the current MS Stack? Or is it OK to leave the MS one installed? Thanks
helmi_c
I have a ppc 6700 running your AKU 3.3. Installed the unsigned BT stack, reset. Program icons all loaded. Tried to start BT, Blue LED flashed once then I got the BTTrayCE error message "BT Radio failed to turn on due to Insufficient driver memory available..." I reset again, same thing happens again...
I am using the mun WM6 Rom (thank you) and can install the widcomm stack that superDave wrote for the hermes. It has no memory error warnings and seems to run but can't pair or discover any devices. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?
