[Q] HTC Leo (HTC Touch HD2) 2G Dialer for X1(a) - XPERIA X1 Themes and Apps

Hi all
I will soon have a X1a; after sampling HSDPA on my X1i back home in Montreal, yeah it's awesome!!
So as people know, the video calling function on the North American X1a is disabled (and I am assuming the same this is true with a Rogers X1a). I know it can be enabled, but really that's no big deal to me.
Although the Xperia X1a dialler already doesn't have a button for video calling, I love the HTC dialler, and I have that one installed on my X1i.
After searching I have found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=618311 for the Leo 2G dialler (I'm assuming that's the regular HTC dialler, but for a 2G interface).
Does it work properly? Does it work in landscape mode?
If no, I will just add the HTC dialler with the video call button, but hopefully this dialler works.

Help - ROM WM6 for TYTN on HTC 8525

Hi, i've installed WM6 for TyTN in italian languages on my HTC 8525 (the same model but american model). All function are ok but when i try to call with UMTS tecnology i see the video of the other person but i not hear nothing and the other person not hear me.
This is normal or not?
It's possible that the UMTS standard of the american model is not compatible with the italian model?
Please help me
If you can see the video of the other person (and they can see you) then you have a connection anyway so it's not a 3G issue IMO.
Could be that either one of you has a config problem with a setting somewhere - but you are connected if you see each other.

2G vs 3G dialers?

What's the difference between a 2G dialer and a 3G dialer?
Is this what is meant when a rom is released as both 2G and 3G?
they are just a skin/ theme dialers
does not mean if you install a 2g on our hermes the 3g capabilities of the phone is lost

'3g' is usually associated with a video call dialer. It's really a very misleading term and has nothing to do with the frequencies your device can operate on.
Ok whatever 3G represents but is there any difference in dialer speed when using to dial a number or when you recieve call.

None whatsoever
To put it into layman's terms the 3G has a dialer with a video calling button.
2G does not. If you do not use video calling then it is pretty much irrelevant.
Generally, get the 2g as your dialer might seem less cramped. That's it as far as how it would affect you.
Looking for 2G dialer...
Hello all there, I'm looking for some latest 2G dialer with calls list included (when you open keypad, there is a small scrollable call list - missed/received/called). I have CRC ROM with 3G dialer only. Thank you a lot.

I would suggest the current best 2G dialer is the MBArvian OpalCanvas dialer. http://mbarvian.freehostia.com/2008...de-applications-cab-and-oem-package-included/

What kind of TP2 do you have? The GSM versions (i.e., non-Verizon/Sprint) support simultaneous voice and data while on 3G.
This functionality gets broken if you set the data connections to time out. The default registry setting is to leave data connections open, and this is usually viewed as a battery killer, so some opt to set an auto-disconnect after X secs or mins.
\HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\SuspendResume and CacheTime are the registry entries that should be left at default in order to do what you're wanting. And like MCbrian stated, you have to be on the 3G network for this to work (no "E" or "G" on GSM phones).
My phone is singapore SEA version, but using it in USA. its an unlocked version with unbranded.

[Q] 3g video calls on desire hd

How to make 3g video calls like regular 2g calls. other than voip softwares (which uses internet to make calls) is there any app or other dialers which enables the video calling option directly from regular dialer screen. I use htc original firmware not yet rooted.

lol if you need an app then it would be through Voip as long as my knowledge is involved...maybe someone else knows if it's possible...also did you try googling? lol
Can u suggest one to make 3g calls that service provider has given
you realize there is no front camera so the video call wouldnt work very well lol. Ya you need to use something like skype. it wasn't built into any of the software because of the desire/inspire not having a face camera, the demand isnt there.
but, where as viber has an option to make 2g calls over network if user doesnt have viber installed in his handset viber will ask us can we make calls using regular dialer mode. is there any thing of that sort for 3g.

No Conferencing! Unlocked for india

Hi
I have bought a unlocked nexus for reliance cdma in India. The phone works just fine but i cannot do a conference call! Merge Calls does nothing! How can i reactivate this feature? As i understand it, it is pressing a sequence of numbers that makes no sense on the reliance network but used to work on the sprint network. Am i right? And yes, conferencing is already enabled with reliance. According to them, its a inbuilt feature of the phone, supposedly.
Regards,
Xyan
Does this work?

(I don't know - I'm not on Reliance, so can't test)
That was the first thing I tried after the merge call didn't work. Thanks anyway
