what do you mean same bt?

meaning se bt headset
cauz i have problems with others some times

I'm not so sure what starzshowz means, but Skype works perfectly for me. I use the Panel version as it is better optimized for the X1 than the general public version. Granted the latest general public has file transfer, but I don't need that as much as I need output to the proper phone speaker, and proper BT support.

[REQ] Audio Stream via Bluetooth Handsfree?

Hi,
I am looking for a way to stream audio from the Touch HD to my Car. Unfortunately the cars built-in audio system doesn't support bluetooth. But there is that handsfree-thing, which works really great with calls. So I wondered, if there is a software solution that streams my music from the phone as "incoming call" to my car?
I've tried "acbToggleBT" and "BTASP" and both didn't work in the Car, but they did work with a bluetooth headset.
It would be really great if somebody knows, finds, posts, programs or has an solution.
Thanks in advance!
Greets from Bavaria, Germany

I can't remember but there was an option to route normal audio to the bluetooth handset in my HP iPAQ which is missing from HD.
Believe me music streaming to HSF device will be as good as listening to AM radio on poor reception. Go get a bluetooth A2DP profile audio headunit like Sony - MEX-BT2500 (this is the one I use and works like a charm).
Thanks for your reply.
Perhaps I took the wrong words to explain what I am looking for.
The thing I want is a piece of software that "imitates" an incoming call and sends the audio from S2P to the handsfree of my car.
Maybe this explanation is a bit better...?
[edit]
have you tried BT Audio
it's a paid app
acbToggleBT always worked for me
try this
There are 3 apps
btaudio on
btaudio off
bttoogle (on/off)
i made a cab file for it

Excellent. I can get this to work via bluetooth headset.
Unfortunatley this didn't work in my car (which is what I believe the OP wants).

All i can say is this based on using it on my HD with WM 6.1 & 6.5 (Dutty ROM):
Once you install the program and then execute it (Press On):
It will transfer all Music & Audio from Movies (Core Player) etc. to my BT Nokia Headset or my BT Car Speakerphone (Motorola T305), i do not have a Radio BT set so i can't tell you, you'll just have to try.
This Cab solved my problem as the basic BT HD ROM sertting only transfers the Phone audio while this little cab transfers ALL audio, so i would presume that it may help you with your BT radio, you can always uninstall the cab if it doesn't work for you.
There is NO emulation invloved here!!??
Good luck!
Hi Ausi, tried on my Nokia BT car handsfree but no joy
The handsfree only accepts an incoming call as stated above so some sort of emulation may be needed. Would be happy if someone knew about something...

Funny... my HD does the reverse. I get de BT audio but on the BT phone I got nothing but static...
I've got a Sony Xplod bluetooth radio in my car.
When I start up it automatically connects to my HD, however it only connects as handsfree rather than both handsfree and BT stereo.
I have to go into comms manager and bluetooth settings, then select and hold on the xplod in the device list.
A menu comes up asking what I'd like to connect as, and I pick stereo, then repeat for handsfree.
Give that a go. Holding on the device to bring up the menu gives you the BT profiles the device is capable of, so with a bit of luck stereo/headphones will be an option for you.

Skype

HI
I think about buying a TP2 and i wondering about Skype over the phone data link (Telstra NextG) not Wi-Fi which has been confirmed working.
Thanks
What do you want to know? Yes Skype works over 3G!
according to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=532563
"I got it worrking. What's the problem? Only works on WIFI though
(at least I think, never tried diffrent)"
Skype on THE TP2 only work thought the wifi and not the data network link 3G!
So dose Skype on the TP2 work with the data network like Telstra NextG ?
thanks of any help
I believe Skype works on both WiFi and on 3G (HDSPA better I guess). Quarintis says it works ONLY on WiFi, however, he has never tried to use it on 3G. What a way to make a statement.
Be careful though that most carriers do not allow for Skype, streaming media etc over 3G or HSDPA networks. Not even with "unlimited internet" accounts.
HI, I use Skype over 3G. There is no technical problem unless your 3G provider blocks the port!
It works perfectly over the loud speaker and earphones.
However, I can hear well over bluetooth but my own voice sounds like a duck... (clip naro model)
Thanks for your help

Does this mean it works fine also in the Straight Talk mode where you turn the phone over flat on its face?
I make a lot of Skype calls from home over WiFi and I'd love to stop using a PC headset and use a proper phone instead. So with Straight Talk speaker phone + Skype that would be excellent because I can just have it sitting on my desk and don't need to hold anything.

the activation of the hands free mode by putting the phone upside down on the desk works only in normal calls.
skype per default routes all its audio through the rear loudspeakers. unfortunately their sound gets recorded by the microphne resulting in a massive echo. You probabely dont want to use skype in that configuration. The alternatives are:
1. a bluetooth headset
2. the wired headset that comes with the phone
3. routing the audio through the ear-piece (it is to silent to get recorded by the microphone)
of course none of the 3 options gives you the hands free experience
Anyone know how to make video calls on it (through Wi-Fi)? I cant seem to find the settings for the camera.

You can't find it simply because the current version of Skype mobile unfortunately does not support video calls.
Teksoft AudioRoute
Hi all
AudioRoute by Teksoft alows you to have skype calls come out the phone's earpiece, like a regular call. I think Fring does this automatically. I think they've got a thread here somewhere.
Cheers

Using the cabled earphones, just plug it and it works with Skype.. no need anything else! or do you mean Audioroute helps for bluetooth earpiece?
anybody get skype to work over bluetooth? i downloaded both programs and can't figure out how to get it to work here.
thanks.
i had an xperia and there was a skype version for it that would let you hear the sound from the earpiece, wich is more convenient if you are not using handsfree. See, you can let the sound go trough the speaker, but not always handy if you are in private talk. audioroute works, but it's just not that convenient to switch between the speakers all the time.
So... xperia's version of skype does install on tp2, but when starting the app it says that the tp2 is not an xperia, obviously... so... how to bypass that? anyone?

I have, i buy Jabra BT3030, this have hands free and stereo audio-you need this.
Jabra works with skype good
sorry for my english
dav000, how did you get skype to output sound to the bluetooth? it is not a built in feature to do this.
I've tried using Skype over NextG with my TP2, and have had nothing but extremely awful results. Horrible lag makes any Skype call over the air illegible. The only decent Skype calls I've made with the unit has been over wifi. Basically, it lags so much over Telstra that all you hear is wharblgarbl while it races to catch up. Calls skype to skype over NextG are marginally better.
For that matter, Fring over NextG is also as awful. Simply cannot make VOIP calls over the NextG network with the TP2.
It's a shame, too. With my nokia e51, you could still make Fring calls even if there was about a 2 second delay.
Mileage may vary in the city, though, but certainly not in the parts of Melbourne that I've tried (CBD, Melbourne East). I do live in country Victoria, but NextG here is still tons faster than Edge, but just can't seem to handle Skype. Knowing Telstra, maybe they've blocked the ports.

If this is a software issue, maybe you should check http://www.htc.com/la/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=88&act=sd&cat=all, (it's the Latin American section). I've noticed they have a solution for better bluetooth communication with the HTC ELF gsm and personally I don't know if this same file works with the excalibur, you can ask HTC support they respond very quick. Or simply your motorola bluetooth device is not fully responsive with HTC.
thanks alot

Tilt2 Bluetooth Headset List

Hello,
I've had my Tilt2 for 2 months now and am ready to get a headset. After many searches I can't find a definitive list of headsets that are working/ not working correctly.
I'm using a stock ROM and have the Tilt2 2 tweaked to 43% memory usage on boot-up. The phone is fast and everything works correctly. Also using SPB mobile Shell.
Has anyone tied in the Bluetooth 2.1 vs 2.0 headsets with correct operation? I want the voice command, audio passthrough, and buttons to work correctly.
Maybe we can start a list of Phone - ROM version - Headset - Whats working/not working.
I'm mainly concerned with the stock ROM but any info may assist others.
Thanks
Jim O
Well, I have the Jawbone Prime & Motorola HX-1 and both work fine.
Motorola H710 works fine as well.
Thanks for the info. Does the voice command work for making calls and you can also hear music files and audio from websites?
Thanks Jim O
Surely more folks can contribute to a good list. Lets get some more response going. This could be of great benefit to one and all.
Thanks!!!!!
Samsung WEP 850 with voice command works just fine.
The Sony DRBT100CX stereo bluetooth earbuds also work very well with the Tilt 2. All A2DP/AVRC audio and handsfree calling functions are supported. Nice bargain at $50 as well.
Yes, but...
... has anyone found a BT headset that announces the incoming caller ID over it instead of the phone's speaker?
I've tried a couple of older as well as one new BT headset. All pair and work flawlessly with my Tilt 2, but none of them will announce the incoming caller ID over the headset as it did with my original Tilt.
Yeh, I'm pretty sure this was a screwup in the Widcomm BT stack but just want to make sure. FYI, HTC tech support states that none of their phones do this! When I asked 'em why the old Tilts did, I didn't get any more response.
Well, I picked up a new Motorola H17 12/30/09. Everything works as advertised, except the incoming caller announcement (on phone announcement only). This headset was released only a couple months ago with the latest Bluetooth 2.1 and all the other amenities so this problem does seem to be a problem with the stack.
On a side note, this headset works great. Get ALL phone sounds transferred and also volume control on both the phone and headset. Works great with streaming video/audio. And it is loud, usually have it set to mid volume. Also, I bought it from an AT&T store ($80) and he stated that if anything goes wrong with it for 1 year just bring it in and he will replacement.
Jim O
I have the Jabra HALO and works wonderfully well with my TP2, running Win6.5

The manager @ my local AT&T store has a Tilt 2 using a Blue Ant Q1 bluetooth & he says that his BT does all these things. I just ordered one so I will let you know when I get it. FYI he was using a Jawbone prior to the Q1.

I got my Blue Ant Q1 and it does announce the incoming calls over the blue tooth & your text messages, e-mail, reminders, your music- I like it. If you turn "announce incoming call off" in voice command it will not announce them over the speaker on the phone. I bought mine off e-bay for $48.99.
