Hello all.
I received my desire HD yesterday, the manual says to remove the battery cover to take out the plastic sheet that prevents the battery from charging...
However I cannot remove the battery cover, I have tried REALLY HARD to put a fingernail in the slot and lever it out but there is no way it comes out on the desire hd.
Is there a magical thing to do or has someone at the factory in chine made a joke and superglued the damn thing ?
The sim/sd cover is sliding out but apprently the battery cover is just lifting or does it also slide out ?
thanks for the help
This is the normal Desire section. Try either the Desire HD section or find a unboxing/startup video were they remove the battery cover.

Look some video on youtube..Hope it helps
Right so I've actually scratched the lens slightly inside the battery cover after dropping my phone the back came off. The photo quality is still rather good but is it possible to actually manually replace the camera lens or get it done somewhere?
Thanks if anyone has any ideas
Simon
Hi all,
I own a HTC one X, i got it couple of months back. I recently noticed that my camera lens cover is pretty much scratched up, specially at the bottom where the whole phone's upper parts resides when laid flat. I tried taking pictures but see not much difference.
I just want to know how bad this issue is? How many of the HOX users here have this issue?
Should i be worried about the picture quality? Is there anyway i can figure out whether the scratches are affecting my pictures?
I Love my phone and seeing the scratches made me worried and i right away ordered a SPG Crumena leather pouch to avoid more scratches from coming in future. I now want to assess how will the scratches affect my pictures, can someone help me figure that out please.
Well I've read around on xda, that scratching the camera lens causes a deterioration in picture quality. Best way to confirm or check is to compare photos taken with your scratched up lens now vs an old picture taken with your new Htc One X i.e non-scratched lens.

Hi,
I had the same problem exactly, and i have just joined to give you the solution that I used. My HTC photos are sharp and clear as before now.
The solution is very simple ... all what you need is a clean glasses cleaning cloth, glass cleaner (like windex) and tooth paste !! yes tooth paste!
First clean the cover with the glass cleaner ... keep it wet .. apply a tiny portion of tooth paste on it .. rub it with the cloth ... keep it wet all the time.
Repeat till you get the lens back to its original state ... or at least 90 % ... the technique used is similar to the one used in cleaning car head lights .. similar to this video for example:

I hope u find it useful.
Hi guys,
I want to ask if the "golden" battery sticker is a "must" or it can be removed. If it is necessary, can u tell what type of tape it is please? It's like some kind of metalic ^^. Thank you.
It's copper foil, it helps dissipate the heat from the cpu and battery, you can get a replacement here: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/351043696795?nav=SEARCH
Note: I'm in no way affiliated with the seller.

1000Thanks for posting all these pictures of the new BOLD-N1 with a completely transparent rear glass!
As I currently have two BOLD-N1 and I was curious to see this phone inside, so I really appreciate very much that you decided to upload all these pictures of the inside of the new BOLD-N1...
But, as it is not seen in the photos you have posted, I would also like to see where the spiral coil for the wireless charging is located?
Could you also post some pictures of the rear of the BOLD-N1 with the wireless charging coil mounted on it?
I would also like to know if after having removed the back cover of the BOLD-N1, if can be installed it again without any problems?... I ask you, because I imagine that this back cover should have an adhesive gasket all around it.
Thanks in advance!
