i have a question
i dont know ive its possible but i think it is:d
i have on my desktop a program
its a .exe file but when i click it doesnt need instalation believe its called a portable file
is it possible to make the .exe work for my blackstone
dont knw ive i may post it because its a little hacking tool for wireless networks(it discovers the paswords)
hope somebody can help me with this

Microsoft have released Windows Media Player 10 Mobile but only to manufacturers. It is not, and will not be, available as an update or download unless your manufacturer provides an update or updated ROM.
I pulled a ROM update down from one of the OEMs whove done an update and could extract the files for WMP10M, but I'm not sufficiently up with the whole ROM cooking thing to incorporate them into a new ROM for my Blue Angel.
Anyone fancy giving this a go ?

I am very keen to have WMP 10 too.
just upload the ms.nbf file of that ROM and the rest is up to us.

I downloaded this and used a tool (which I now cant find - doh!) to extract it.
What else would you guys need ?

i have downloaded the file.
After extracting, i found 2 *.IMG :roll:
therefore, i try to use UltraISO or MagicISO just to extract *.IMG but it fails.
Some other experts may need to participate

I got an iPAQ rom update from HP here : http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/handhelds/us/download/22279.html
I ran it so it copied the filees onto my PC hard drive.
I then ran dumprom.exe against the d2b10110uo.nbf file and got all the files from the ROM.
I have them all in a zip file as I am not sure exactly which ones are required for WMP10M. I have zipped up and attached all the ones that look as though they are WMP10M related.
i suppose all the files has to be zip into *.CAB
and copy over to PDA and unzip it
is this all the files that belongs to WMP?
i think let the expert do some testing

Anyone tried copying the files in wm.zip to their xda2 and trying to run wmplayer.exe ?

First you are missing many WmFiles,there are many that are not begin to Wmxxxx,but unfortunately I can't remeber others.
And I think DumpRom is missing relocation on Dll files,like discussed time ago
I thought someone had mentioned that WMP10 software is "somehow" tied into the hardware or the OS specific to the devices so it wouldnt be possible to extract the executable application and make a cab or whatever and run it on any other devices that it didnt ship with...
I'm no guru with ROMs and stuff.. but if any one of you guys manages to make this work, it will be awesome!

I suppose that you mean O2 Active UI, yesits work but very slow and with many bugs. Of course , it looks nice but not work quite well. I have tryed the WM2003 version and it does not work, then I have tryed the WM5 version from Wizzard and it worked but with many bugs, universal version works too but since it's made for VGA mode you see onli 1/4 from the UI so it is unusable.If someone tweak ActiveUI from wizard it will work fine in BA

Here are the extended roms rolder in ftp, download any of the O2 rar files extract it to a folder an in the extracted folder search for a file signed_Prodigy_o2AUI4_build26.cab or any cab containing o2AUI in the name

First I thought you were totally nuts since there is a lenghty thread of the CAB to OEM...but I think you want OEM to CAB.. Anyway if you have WinCE Cab Mgr then it is not rocket science and you should be able to figure it out without any help since WinCE Cab Mgr is really easy to use.
Why not just download the CAB's of the programs to start with?

Hi all, wondering whether anyone can help me.
I have a old Atom Exec lying around, it suffers from problems waking up from standby only- it freezes occasionally. Basically at the time I had no other option but to upgrade to a Trinity. However, I noted that the Toshiba G900 seems to have EXACTLY the same problem, and I believe also the same processor, and Toshiba have just released a patch for it-

Unfortunately a direct run of the exe file on my exec does not work. I was wondering whether anyone had a way of extracting the DLL or finding out from it how I can fix my Exec...

you can try to rename the exe file to zip and see if it's the kind that opens
