Can't use any new theme(tsk) other than the default ones!

I just find that I can't use any today theme(tsk) other than those ones included in the ROM. I copyed a new TSK file into Windows folder, and then go to Start>Settings>Personal>Today>Appearance, I can find the name of that theme, but when I selected it, nothing happens! Whatever the current theme is, it'll go to "Windows Default" theme if I select any new theme other than those included in the ROM! It's weird because I just hard-reset my Jasjar and didn't install any other applications, so it's not a third party application related probelm!
Is anyone experienced the same problem? and any solution will be appreciated!!

No one has the same problem? Maybe is a hardware problem...

Try putting the TSK file in My Documents

Strangely enough, but some work and some don't. No idea why this is.
I have attached 2 that are working. The black one goes very well with the JJ

hrb, i couldnt see any attachhments, and i was logged in, but still nothing.

Good question ! I don't know. I got these TSK Files at the SBSH Forum (Pocketbreeze) which I am using on my JJ.

I know this thread is pretty old now but I had a similar problem getting this to work. Try deleting the space between Black Panther, it worked for me.

I had the same problem !!!
I think it was with the Helmi Aku 3.2 or 3.5 ROM
don't know why, I could just select a theme but it would always be stuck on windows default.
I eventually flashed it with a newer rom, never had the problem again.

HTC Kaiser Home plugin anybody?

I upgraded to the official Dopod WM6 ROM. Is it possible to install the Kaiser Home Plugin on it and where can I get is as a standalone app and not part of a whole ROM package (don't want to reflash again and reinstall everything )

sorry for the newbie qusetion but when u download these cab files where do i put them on my artemis device. Is it in the windows directory?

you can put the .cab file anywhere you want in your pda,
open "file explorer", locate the .cab file, and "click" it. it will install the software to the default location.

does this also work on my htc p4350? i have installed the cab and he shows nothing on where the clock and everything else should be. it only looks like the original htc homeplugin was moved down

I tried the one in Matts Kitchen and it worked fine for me. The problem is that it is Build 0600 and not 0700

My version: Windows Live (10.6.0033.0600)

The newest version of windows Live messenger is 10.6.33.0700 only found in Schap's WM6.1 Pro 4.40 Beta ROM. The Feature that appeals to me is that it has a dropdown box that gives you a choice of , Hotmail, MSN, and Live, . TNT says this will be in his new Wizard Rom Windows Live Messenger 10.6.0034.800, must be the newest, also Khans 2.3 Wizard version has 10.6.0034.800 with the drop down box.

I'd like to learn to make a cab file..... I did find the IE 6.1, but still haven't found the SMS 6.1 ...... If anyone has a link to someplace that can help me learn to create a cab file that would be helpful.

to make a cab is not a big deal!if you have wincecab manager it's preatty easy but you must search some tricks over the net!i would glady help you but i'm not so good in english language so i better stay away!if you need wincecab manager you can find it here

Thanks for the response! I will look for WinCECab and give it a go. You can edit your post and remove the download links to the Warez... I wouldn't want to anger the Modz...
I can't wait to start dabbling with these cabs.....lol .... I'm sure I'll be Hard reseting a few times after I apply some of my new cabs....lol

This issue has been addressed in various posts throughout the forum. Next time just try to use the search feature and you may find the answer to what you seek. Anywho, here are the instructions to increase your MMS sending size limit...
1) Using a registry editor (such as Resco Registry, Total Commander) you'll need to edit a couple of registry values.
2) Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (HKLM)\SOFTWARE\ArcSoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\MMSCSetting\T-Mo MMS (whatever you've named your MMS GPRS setting)
3) Change "WAP1SendDefaultSize" from '102400' to '307200'. Also, change "WAP2SendDefaultSize" from '102400' to '307200'. After making these changes--reboot the phone.
4) Your MMS messages should now allow you to increase your sending size to 300K.

Im trying to update to 6.1 using RUU_Excalibur_WM61_Kavana_Rickys_v24_Opera
I have read the FAQ's that rickywatt posted , but I am still confused and im not sure about the steps that follow after unlocking the Dash. I have downloaded SDA application unlock and SurrealNetworksAppUnlock.cab and of course Ricky's RUU_Excalibur_WM61_Kavana_Rickys_v24_Opera
According to the FAQ that rickywatt has
i did the following:
"... install SurrealNetworksAppUnlock.cab to your phone then extract
SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe from SDA_ApplicationUnlock.zip then
connect usb from computer to your phone wait for ActiveSync to connect once
connected run SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe then click remove lock then reboot phone ..."
I have no idea what to do after that

Double-Click on the auto.bat file. Follow the instructions in the Prompt (black) box, to the T.

What he really means is keep hitting your space bar. The grammar in that auto.bat file is confusing at first -- I thought I had to follow the instructions and manually run the programs the .bat file was talking about. No, instead the only action you really have to take (other than connecting your phone) is hitting the center button once to get to the white screen; the rest just happens with you pressing any key to keep the batch file going.

Yes... Just flash the 6.0 ROM back to your phone. If you're with T-Mobile, it can be found on the T-Mobile site.

time zone issues???
anyone else having sudden changes in timezone after installing rickys 6.1?
could be the buttons are getting hit while its on my hip but now its happened twice in 3 days....

hey ricky thx for the update... is there a way to switch t9 on sms to Spanish?... the intuitive language is english and is annoying when typing a sms.
Also, the "play" music & video option has no associated file and prompts and error same thing with "Word".
my time zone is not even listed GMT-4.30 Caracas, fixed with a path found on MS Venezuela.
one more thing: after installing Opera mini 4.1, theres no icon anywhere.

Having an issue with making a ringtone.
I copied an mp3 to applicationData/Sounds
But when going to Settings > Sounds...I cannot find the mp3 in there. Only the basic 5 options appear.

I've installed Rickeys other Roms but having a hard time on a new dash. I've app unlocked the phone downloaded the zip and try to run the .dat and I get the black box follow the prompts then get error cant find romupdateutility.exe.
So I try and run the update utility manually I get to about three % then get the 270 error. re install the surell .cab file run the sda app unlocked and same issue. Error 270 also is the mirror working? Can anyone send me a working RUU.zip

IN the roms you have listed i didnt notice anyone talking about the features im looking for i hae flashed the rom.I know what to do and what not to do,the only thing i couldnt seem to find was the program for internet sharing to be able to use my phone as a modem,ths feature has to be ther for me to use these roms.any ideas on this ricky,and if you have time could you direct me to your rom that has these features in it..its a must for me,i installed kavanas rom last night,worked well,loved the slide features,and the many other features,was plenty fast for me,the only thing i couldnt find was the sharing program,any help would be nice thanks...

When you push Start and go to the Accessories folder you will see the program for Internet Sharing. It's in both V24 ROMs.

Free Hebrew Keyboard from Diamond

Hi all,
Alex2003 has turned the Italian original keyboard to Hebrew for the Diamond.
I tried it on the HD and it works great. Link below:

However, the Hebrew works only in portrait mode. It goes back to Italian in Landscape..

i tried to copy the TXT file that should fix the landscape KB,
but i cant...
i get an error message:
"cant copy LQwerty0c10: Access is denied.
make sure your mobile device ha sufficient memory, that the file is not read only, and the you have permission to copy this file type"

you have to use total commander or resco explorer or such to overwrite rom files...
anyway i'll add these text files to the current cab and post a modified version later tonight.
question: does it still say "Italian" after installing this cab or does it change to "Hebrew"?

Works Perfect!! Better than SPB Keyboard..

Ok guys (& gals), as promised, I modified the Alex cab to include the HD-specific files (arrow-keys and landscape mode).
Unfortunately I can't test it because I already installed the keyboard with the manual-copy approach and don't feel like hard-resetting right now.
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work because I only replaced one file and added another. But still, I shall repeat the usual mantra:
Use at your own risk! I am not to be held responsible in case it doesn't work, bricks your device, or brings the end of the world as we know it (in a negative way)
That said, I'd be happy if you test it and post your results.
Oh, and if anyone could help out in making the menu say "Hebrew" instead of "Italian" I'd be most grateful as I do appreciate aesthetics (yeke ma la'asot )
