Hi all,
Alex2003 has turned the Italian original keyboard to Hebrew for the Diamond.
I tried it on the HD and it works great. Link below:

However, the Hebrew works only in portrait mode. It goes back to Italian in Landscape..
Can anyone help with fixing this?

i tried to copy the TXT file that should fix the landscape KB,
but i cant...
i get an error message:
"cant copy LQwerty0c10: Access is denied.
make sure your mobile device ha sufficient memory, that the file is not read only, and the you have permission to copy this file type"

you have to use total commander or resco explorer or such to overwrite rom files...
anyway i'll add these text files to the current cab and post a modified version later tonight.
question: does it still say "Italian" after installing this cab or does it change to "Hebrew"?

Ok guys (& gals), as promised, I modified the Alex cab to include the HD-specific files (arrow-keys and landscape mode).
Unfortunately I can't test it because I already installed the keyboard with the manual-copy approach and don't feel like hard-resetting right now.
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work because I only replaced one file and added another. But still, I shall repeat the usual mantra:
Use at your own risk! I am not to be held responsible in case it doesn't work, bricks your device, or brings the end of the world as we know it (in a negative way)
That said, I'd be happy if you test it and post your results.
Oh, and if anyone could help out in making the menu say "Hebrew" instead of "Italian" I'd be most grateful as I do appreciate aesthetics (yeke ma la'asot )

I suppose that you mean O2 Active UI, yesits work but very slow and with many bugs. Of course , it looks nice but not work quite well. I have tryed the WM2003 version and it does not work, then I have tryed the WM5 version from Wizzard and it worked but with many bugs, universal version works too but since it's made for VGA mode you see onli 1/4 from the UI so it is unusable.If someone tweak ActiveUI from wizard it will work fine in BA

Here are the extended roms rolder in ftp, download any of the O2 rar files extract it to a folder an in the extracted folder search for a file signed_Prodigy_o2AUI4_build26.cab or any cab containing o2AUI in the name

Using VW6 (Vanilla) on a Germen Hermes. Hardware Keyboard works fine except the space key to change a -> ä, u ->è etc.

Already tried, also followed the wiki.... Keyboard is OK. just the space key doesnt change to äöüéàè
You can try to duplicate the file sym.0409.txt in the windows folder and name this new file sym.0407.txt. It worked for me for the french keyboard (sym.040C.txt in french).
What Atmis said, I simply modified the sym.0409.txt file in /Windows so I easily could type Swedish characters such as å,ä & ö with a/o + space. You need to copy it over to your computer with active sync, edit the file then move it back.

Already tried to copy the origional sym.409.txt to sym.407.txt (german) but when i press the "blue" space nothing happens.
You need to replace the sym.0409.txt file if your OS is in English.

Actually i've 3 files (for testing) sym.0409.txt, sym.0407.txt, sym.txt and it does not work.
Having Hermes with QWERTZ keyboard (switzerland) and English WM6 (Vanilla)
That's interesting. I had the same issues when upgrading my device to AKU 3.3. After some changing forward backward between English and German Keyboard it suddenly worked.
I also upgraded a second device and I cannot get the space key working to change between the special letters.
I know it does not help but maybe it's an device bug. I will downgrade the device the other device when I can get it back again and see if it works with the original image.
It was working flawlessly for me, I just had to reboot the device after creating the new file.

... After HardReset, installing the "German Input Cab", modifiying sym.0409.txt and a reboot everything is working fine...
Probably some manipulation described in the wiki i made before installing the cab made the changes...

Ehm. I am not trying to sound stupid or anything. but how do I find this"sym.409.txt"? I would like to change some of the keys into norwegian symbols like æ, ø and å.
I have just heard something about the root folder.
But in that case. where is it, I assume that I am just being blind or something but.

Not blind, the file is hidden, at least on my system with Josh Manulla2D.
To see the file in Windows, using File Explorer, click on "Menu/Show All Files".
My problem is that I have made changes for my German keyboard on an English language install, but I cannot replace the file in \Windows. All I get is an Access Denied message.
Anybody know how I can get past this to replace the sym.409.txt file?
Task Manager is installed so surely it must be some service that needs killing to free up the file.

I was first willing to cook a ROM including all these, in order to spare some space on my HERMES. I had already cooked an "intermediary" one when Tadzio issued his method to make a "shrinked" OS ROM that would allow you to use the spare space from the ROM
Since this, no point in adding all these mods in my ROM
First: making flashing safe
Download Hard-SPL-V2 from the great Olipro to avoid bricking your device. Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722
Install it
Then, get your ROM.
Download the_passenger ROM shrink version of LVSW 20070320 ROM (More space available) and install it (Read threads about flashing ROMs if you are not familiar with that...)

I did have a problem with it: once I executed it, I could not sync with my Exchange server (Quite a pain for my push email account...)
Asukal found the solution: edit the registry, and change

You're going to be missing the Softbank unique way of switching to silent mode (Only available in Softbank ROM)

MMS
Softbank's MMS System is a pain because it's incompatible with "classic" MMS systems...
You can download Softbank's software... But... it's slow, big, bulky, ugly, etc... If you dont mind missing the emoticons, you should go for MMSLite
Regedit, Look for Arcsoft. Delete all references to Arcsoft (Sometimes need to be done in several times, some entries being in use if you have by mistake launched MMS Composer once since your flash of the OS...)
If you dont do these eletions, MMSLite will actually not install...

The only problem when upgrading is the Japanese input. I used sometimes (so I need it), but I I install Japanese input package you told in your post the I have a really annoying floating bat anywhere, and it's really unnoying.
There is no way to have same kind of input in enlish ROM?

I'm going to work in Japan soon (1st of April) but I want to use my Hermes as my primary phone, etc. Is it possible to go to a SoftBank shop and tell them basically "Don't ask me how, but this phone is SoftBank-compatible. Now please register it into the SoftBank network and gimme a standard phone subscription. Thanks".
Meaning how can I register my phone (SIM card ? I looked and they seem to have only outrageously expensive SIM cards on loan for 108円 a day, with no 3G connectivity. Or is it possible to get a standard subscription?)?

Really? I don't get a floating bar.
Did you try it on a clean installation of WM6, or did you install it after installing the Bagojs IME? Maybe some settings in the registry are causing the bar to appear.
Also, did you set your locale to Japanese in "Control Panel->System->Regional Settings"?

- Install LetNo5 (Jp Font)
- Install BajosIME
- Install AkusakIME (on device) not in storage card

You shouldn't need to install both BagojsIME and Asukal's IME package, just Asukal's. BagojsIME provides an older version of the MS IME.
Use you own phone with SB
You can pick a ZERO Yen phone to do a new contract with SB. Then change the sime card to your onw phone. Suppose you have a sim-unlock phone.

I didnt have to install anything to get the Manner mode working. I think this is implemented in WMXL. But when i set the phone skin security to 1
my phone pad disappears, turns white. Renders unusable. The only fix for me is to set it back to 0.
This might be due to the carrier setting, it happens immediately after running SB external rom carrier info.
Any ideas?

I recently installed the 0.19 version of the Sorg VGA ROM and I must say, my P750 is working much more stable. I didn't notice any problem with the memory.
The main problem I now have is the following: I tried to disable xt9 functionality that was really annoying me. I found a site on this forum telling about a registry tweak. I tried it, but unfortunately the xt9 is still present. So I tried until I was able to disable xt9 and word suggestion feature. Now my problem is, that I only can type numbers!! With the virtual keyboard it works, with the physical one, it doesn't. I'm really desperate, I tried to revert my changes but nothing seems to happen. Even when I reset the device (after appyling registry changes) nothing but numbers!
So my question/request to you:
could somone out there make a screenshot of his registry (ASUS P750), of course not of the whole one but only of the following path, since this is the one I messed up:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\IME

OMG! Thank you so much! I've been searching for an easy way to get Chinese font on my TP2. This works great. My Chinese and Japanese MP3's are now readable. No more square "text".

I just noticed that my date/time is now in Chinese. Is there a way to keep that in english?
I assume the cab is making the necessary fontlink and registry changes to switch the system font.
Newbie here so please bear with me if my question seems off but I've been reading here and google for the past few hours and still couldn't figure out on the installation instruction.
Here's the installation instruction from the download folder:
1. Copy wince.nls into /windows Directory.
2. Install Chinese Cab, Do Not Restart
3. Integrate the registry file
4. Restart.
I have installed SPL and copied the #1 wince.nls file into the windows directory but am now completely lost on #2 as there's no .cab file from the download folder?
About #3, how do you integrate the registry file?
