Hi Guys
Currently i got the HTC HD with the next configuration
Rom version: 1.18.707.3 (23358)WWE
ROM date: 12/10/08
Radio version 1.09.25.14
protocol version 52.49a.25.26U
SPL-1.14.0000
BLAC100 32 m
I gone to bootloader and connected cable USB ( i see at the bottom of the device USB).
The ActiveSync is not green (mean it's not connecting), after reading again some posts i understand that the active sync shouldn't be green, as soon as i see USB, the PC and mobile connected.
Then i started with the HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.exe installation, when i press "Update" button then the original version is blank but the future version is 1.56 Olinex which is correct ( I think so) ?
The whole upgrade procedure stuck on 0% on the device and after 2 mins i gets the restore button on the PC (HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.exe installation).
Maybe i am missing something, in addition i saw some flush through SD card, but i think the better wasy if from the PC -> Mobile.
Any assistance will be appreciated.
Thanks for Help.
I am having the same issue.

this is a question for a friend. He said he got these problems when he was upgrading to the official htc wm6 rom:
I've tried to ugrade my Orange SPV M3100 with this RUU, but with no success.
First issue: when i have connected the phone to the PC, established active sync connection and i run the RUU, my phone disconnect and show a screen with RGB stripes during the first "Verifying the information on your PC, please wait" screen. ActiveSync connection is disconnected so i can't continue the update process, and i must soft reset my PPC...
So i've tried to connect the phone after this step of instalation and:
Second issue: After i press Next button on the screen "You are now ready to update your ROM image", the progress bar shows up and the phone disconnect from the PC and turn off. After a while the RUU says "no connection"...
What am i doing wrong? I have image version 1.23.78.3 on my PPC. Please help. Thx...
Please can someone help him out?
Appreciated.
the 3 coloured screen popping up is normal with this RUU, I have upgraded two devices in the same way without problems ... did you leave the upgrade program running through during the "Verifying device / PC" phase or did you abort? It takes about a minute or so until the next window pops up on the PC ...

This kicked my A$$ for about an hour as well. You'll never want to actually stop the installation to startup activesync. That's where things get jacked up! Just make sure that activesync can see the phone before you run the RUU_Hermes.......Ship.exe file.
1. Make certain that Activesync works before you start (I had to upgrade to 4.5) and synchronize the phone on the WM5.
2. Launch the RUU_Hermes......Ship.exe update and Click the "I Understand..." box and then Click Next. You're phone will display the Red, Green, Blue, White bars and show USB as the connection.
!!!!DO NOT REMOVE THE USB CABLE UNTIL THE ENTIRE UPDATE HAS COMPLETED!!!!! This is where you're making a mistake just like I did.
3. The Next Screen shows the Follow the instructions below.........etc. and it asks you to 1. Connect the PDA to the USB 2.Establish an Activesync connection..... 3. Disable the standby...... 4 Make sure Main Battery..... and it has a check box at the bottom.
!!!!! DO NOT TOUCH THE PHONE OR THE USB CABLE !!!!!! YOU SHOULD STILL SEE THE COLOR BARS ON YOUR PHONE!!!!
Just click the checkbox that says "I completed the steps as indicated above"
and then click NEXT.
4. It will say Verifying the information on your PDA Phone... Please wait..
5. You'll get the Update the current ROM version UPDATE box to click, do so.
6. You'll get the Verify that you want to update the ROM version screen, Click NEXT
7. It will go to the You are now ready to Update your ROM image screen. click NEXT
AND MIRACLE OF MIRACLES....You'll FINALLY see the Gas Gauge percentage screen update on your phone and the PC. Wait about 12 minutes, say a prayer for our troops, and get ready to enjoy WM6!
Hope this helps!

Hello guys,
I have an I-mate JasJam .. a week ago i followed mrvanx's guide to successfully upgrade to schaps 3.30c . just two days ago my windows xp pro stopped recognizing my phone, it says generic USb in the device manager and sometimes it says HTC USB SYNC but with the exclamation mark .
I only managed to connect my phone with activesync 4.5 if "Enable advanced network functionality" IS ticked . and therefore windows recognize my phone as a Network adapter . And i can't flash my phone anymore as windows loses connection to the phone at the final step leaving the phone at the tri color screen
Tried and changed the cable but same problem .
Tried to use the microSD card flash technique to upgrade to schap's 3.54b and copied+renamed to HERMIMG.nbh to the root of my storage card but when i enter the bootloader mode i also end up with the tri color screen and the phone does nothing .
Been reading all over to solve this for the past 3 days but i can't figure out where the problem is
Is it possible that my phone got defected ?
here are some info from my phone :
ROM version : Schap's 3.30c
ROM date : 05/15/07
Radio version : 1.41.00.10
Protocol version : 32.74.7020.18H
Herm100
SPL-2.10.olipro
thanks a lot
hi,
following tries:
-unselect/deactivate "Enable advanced network functionality"
-turn your Computer off and Phone on
-connect Phone with Computer
-switch PC on
Is a stable connection between phone and pc?
You can flash much with the attitude sspl in RUU Wapper.

Hello everybody,
I tried to flash my Diamond with the 1.13.25.24 version, but I had an error message at the end.
The error code is :
"PSOC_DIAM STAGE_PVT v0x30"
Now, I'm blocked at the multicolor screen wich asks me to upgrade my ROM.
Is it possible to connect my phone to my PC without Windows Mobile ?
I must transfer a good ROM and reflash the diamond again !
Yhanx for your help !
If you see the RGB and white screen (bootloader) and connect your phone to the PC - do you see the word change from serial to USB?
If so just flash new ROM by running the RUU from your PC - just ignore the suggestion that you must be connected to active sync.
Hope this helps
You're right !
When I connect my phone, "serial" => "USB"
Now, the pb is that I am at work and I don't have the .net framework.
So I can't execute "DiamonCustomRUU.exe" !
Is there any way with the buttons to run the diamond as external storage ?
Hi Folks
Apologies, have been a member here for ages and am sure the forum rules have changed but...
Can anyone help me?
I loaded a SONE WinMob 6.5 RC2 WWE onto my touch diamond and now cannot load any other ROM.
Symptoms:
Host machine Win XP SP3
Download and extract "Duttys 5.2.20764.1.4.3_V4_Full_CVSD [3.02]"
Establish activesync partnership (green icon in system tray)
(ensure all advanced networking functionality is turned off via Settings->USB Connections)
Run: CustomRUU.exe
Output on XP
- verifying info on PDA Phone
- Current Image Version SONE
Update from:
Image Version: SONE
To:
Image Version: Duttys Diam v4
Next, next
Then I see Multi color boot screen on Diamond:
"Security Unlocked"
Diam140MFG
SPL-1.40.Olinex
MicroP-Diam (LED) v11
PSOC-Diam Stage_PVG v0x30
XP PC Error thrown:
Error [260] : Connection
(the usual connect your cable/cradle advice)
Have to reset phone then it runs win mob 6.5
I'm going to try another PC and other cables but has anyone else seen this sort of thing? Cannot find anything using search.
Thanks in advance
Yours
Leon
try to flash from internal memory...
i doubt its gunna be your cable if your the ruu can read from your device i have 3 suggestions you could try!!
1) use mitty to format ur device b4 you try to flash a new rom ( if you still cant flash after u will be left with no os on ur device tho )
2) try flashing a stock rom see if that works
3) try flashing using the internal storage method
best of luck
Hi Folks
It turned out to be a little more incidious than a cable problem.
The machine I tried from first was a completely fresh XP PRO SP3 build and the latest download of ActiveSync (all built in the last 48 hours).
The build that worked is months old. The binaries I have on the old and new builds both say Active Sync v4.5 but the one I downloaded a few months back to the other build was different from the one I downloaded most recently to the build that won't update.
Resolution: Flash from internal storage worked great! thanks
Also
Use the older binary for ActiveSync 4.5 which installs drivers (not signed) when the Diamond goes into multi color screen then continues rather than failing.
Hope that helps all
Yours
Leon
Hi all, i just bought my HTC diamond today and it came with the spl 1.93.00.. I tried upgrading to the signed and unsigned versions of Olinex 1.93 hard spl..... But the process starts but the progress bar is stuck at 0% and is not moving.... Can someone please help me out.
Hi 1onew0lf,
I have very similar problem, spent the whole day trying to update to Hard-SPL
I have a MDA Compact IV - T-Mobile (German) version of Diamond.
The original SPL, if I go to a boot loader mode, shows:
DIAM200 64M
SPL-1.93.0000
MicroP-Diam (LED) v11
PSOC-Vict STAGE_PVT v0x20
Click to collapse
Original ROM Versions are:
ROM-Version: 1.93.111.2 GER
ROM-Date: 09/24/08
Radio-Version: 1.00.25.16
Protocol-Version: 52.29a.25.13U
Click to collapse
When I try to run ROMUpdateUtility.exe after answering "Yes" (Ja) on the screen of Diamond on the request to place the enterbootloader.exe into \Windows directory the device goes black screen and never comes back.
After 1-2 min. the ROMUpdateUtility.exe utility gives an Error 260: CONNECTION and informs that USB is disconnected, the Active Sync is already long time grayed out.
I tried a trick described in the pinned forum to run SSPL manually: I copied SSPL-Manual.exe into a Temp folder on the device and launched it from Diamond with the same effect: black screen till I do a soft reset of device. I have found somewhere a tip to update the .NET CF to the latest version, and I did so have now .NET CF 3.5 on the device, it didn't solve the problem.
So I may assume that device somehow is not able to switch to SSPL mode, but nobody speaks of such problems!
Looking for anyone who may help us to solve this problem!
Thanks in advance!
yepiee! I actually did it! I managed to update to Hard-SPL
So, first of all the black screen IS actually the SSPL mode of device. My only problem was that USB drivers were not automatically configured. I'm not sure is it a problem with Windows XP SP3, or I messed up some settings for USB devices long time ago.
So what I did is before starting ROMUpdateUtility.exe I opened the Windows Device Manager and placed at the background. Then started the regular procedure of updating to Hard-SPL.
At the moment the screen of the device turned to black a new USB device appeared in the Device Manager, but with exclamation sing giving me a hint that no proper driver found/configured automatically.
Right click -> Update driver... -> Search for suitable driver - did a trick for me. I picked up a second driver from the list of choices with number 32 instead of 16. After the driver was successfully installed the update continued and eventually ended with congratulation message about successful update!
I hope my experience may help someone as well.
