Hello everybody,
I tried to flash my Diamond with the 1.13.25.24 version, but I had an error message at the end.
The error code is :
"PSOC_DIAM STAGE_PVT v0x30"
Now, I'm blocked at the multicolor screen wich asks me to upgrade my ROM.
Is it possible to connect my phone to my PC without Windows Mobile ?
I must transfer a good ROM and reflash the diamond again !
Yhanx for your help !
If you see the RGB and white screen (bootloader) and connect your phone to the PC - do you see the word change from serial to USB?
If so just flash new ROM by running the RUU from your PC - just ignore the suggestion that you must be connected to active sync.
Hope this helps
You're right !
When I connect my phone, "serial" => "USB"
Now, the pb is that I am at work and I don't have the .net framework.
So I can't execute "DiamonCustomRUU.exe" !
Is there any way with the buttons to run the diamond as external storage ?

Dead MDA
I had the same problem when upgrading mine.
The good thing is that you can still get to the bootloader.
You're going to need a copy of a ROM in EXE format for this procedure:
1. Upgrade your ActiveSynce to 3.8
2. Connect your phone to the cradle/cable.
3. Configure ActiveSync to use Serial connection only. It doesn't matter that you're using USB, just change the setting.
4. Start your upgrade from Windows.
Good luck!
u guys need to change the ID of your ms.nbf to your operator.
to change this you need to download a rom editor(its there in our ftp)
then just change the operator. then reflash again..
dont worry, as long as bootloader still works - its still ok.
Hi,
I just started with the ROM upgrade of my I-mate Pocket PC to 1.72.00wwe (obtained from the I-mate website) when my phone switched off. Now it only has (at the top) "Serial" and (at the bottom) "v1.06". No matter what I do - soft or hard reset nothing happens, obviously the power button also doesn't function. On my PC desktop I got the message that I need to reset my phone and re-connect.... can't get my phone going, so here I am.
The solution to my problem is (hopefully) simple ? I will really appreciate if you could help me with this ?
not a problem hopefully....u just made HimaClearJumpCode.exe run on ur device(this file exists in ur upgrade folder),and now ur stuck in the bootloader mode....
do the following:
1-hard reset ur device(it wont boot,off course)...
2-put it in the cradle,u should see that ur XP has found a new hardware(if it doesn't,change the USB port)
3-now run the himaupgradeUt.exe.
Now in case(just in case),those procedures didn't work,go to plan B..
1-take the battery off ur Himalaya.
2-leave ur device for 12hours(it won't need all that time, but to be on the safe side,u know... ) without battery,so that backup battery drains...
3-put back the battery, recharge and enter the OS(this option wont work if u have erased the ROM)
4-rerun the upgrade...
good luck.....
RAGO
Hi
OK, what happens if the ROM is erased.... (judging by the fact that nothing happens when I put it in the cradle - with power on the cradle) ?
My phone was off for about 12-hours - blank screen when I got here this morning.
If I put it in the cradle (and after changing between all the available USB ports on my PC) the PC doesn't detect it - ActiveSync doesn't connect to the phone at all... Note : I have power on the cradle, and it's been a hour now - still just "USB" "v1.06" (or "Serial" if I take it out of the cradle).
:?:
so it is connected!!!!!!!!
since ur serial on the top of ur screen changes to USB when u put it in cradle, then it's connected....
now just run the HimaUpgradeUt.exe in the folder that contains the NK.nbf file(32MB,it's the ROM),and it should start the upgrade....
be sure the NK.nbf is a Himalaya ROM....
good luck...
RAGO
Hi,
Thanks, did it just after posting my reply and everything worked out fine. Note, I just ran the ROM upgrade file (not HimaUpgradeUT), which I got from the clubimate webste.
Thanks, once again for helping me with this one.
Himalaya pocket pc - screen frozen on bootloader
Hi,
My problem is the same - but the difference is that whenever i run the himaupgradeut i get a connection error saying that the PC cannot identify the cradle as connected.
What should I do now?
could anyone help me out of a mess please , i have recently purchased an mda3 to replace my xda2 , i unlocked the phone which went ok but wouldnt accept my o2 sim , being the same phone as the xda2s i thought maybe it would need the o2 windows version rom on , i selected the wrong rom from my pc and the upgrade stopped after a few seconds stating it was the wrong version but now the phone has no rom on at all just a dark screen with "serial" or "usb" if it is docked . Have i done permanent damage ? any help would be very much appreciated
Your phone is currently in bootloader mode - if you have a valid ROM for your device you should be able to flash it with the phone in the USB cradle (the dark screen should change to USB).
If you don't have a valid ROM, go check out the wiki, there's plenty to choose from there!
many thanks forza , as u can prob guess im new at this !
sorry to be a pain forza but unsure which files on the ftp to use , doesnt have to be the latest rom i just need it to work again , could you also tell me how to execute the files , do they load from the desktop , many thanks bren the amatuer
This page on the wiki lists the available original ROM packages;
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Upgrades
The T-Mobile UK one (1.42) is the latest version ROM (3rd on the list), so I'd recommend you start with that (it's the one I use).
[EDIT] just noticed you're showing as being on O2, further down the list (almost at the bottom of the first section) there's a UK O2 ROM - that may be better for you.
With the phone docked in the cradle (with USB showing on the screen), you can just the run the exe you downloaded and it should flash it for you.
thanks forza ! your a star worked a treat

thanks a lot
Indeed, I have the same problem with my S200, please explain what you did to fix your phone!
For those interrested: I've found the following text in the readme file of the regular ROM updaters (RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID in this case):
8. Q: I use RUU to update and failed, and my device always boots in three-color mode and cannot enter CE OS anymore, what should I do now?
A: If the update process has failed, you will see that your device will always boot in three-color mode. It’s normal and can be recovered. Please follow the instructions below to reset your device and to establish a connection with the computer.
1. Disconnect your PDA Phone from the USB cradle/cable.
2. Reset your PDA Phone.
3. Reconnect your PDA Phone to the USB cradle/cable.
4. Check that the communication cradle/cable is connected properly.
5. Return to the ROM Update Utility.
Note: You should ignore the ActiveSync connection.

1st I tried hard resetting and it didnt work
2nd I DONT have hard spl
3rd I get into bootloader , i plug the usb cable but i cant flash , the ruuwrapper program says error during upgrade , i think it cant access the phone first coz the mobile device icon in my computer is emtpy , second activesync says not connected(although it tries to) and device manager reads an " htc usb sync " drive but no letter or something
Still no luck , any help ??
Activesync doesn't need to be runing.
download mtty and do like he said here "http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Instructions for those stuck on Boot Screen" (copy all text between " " and paste to your browser).
After "set 14" give "task 8"
Try flashing from SD card, first the HardSpl ant then the Original Stripped ROM.
@TheMim : tried but didnt work
@eryunt : how ?? i have a custom rom with the name HERMIMG.nbh on my sd card but it doesnt upgrade it says loading for a few seconds then some red numbers and letters appear at the top of the screen then it goes into the bootloader and doesnt upgrade
NOTE THAT : i dont have hard spl (no supercid)
Thnx again , plz help
Try downloading HARDSpl7 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35136&d=1173326890
Unzip it and rename the file "RUU_signed.nbh" in "HERMIMG.nbh"; put it on SD and so you will flash the HARDSpl.
Then, make the same thing with the file "RUU_signed.nbh" extracted from an original shipped ROM.
Hope it fixes your Tytn
Many thanks for your help , i will try that tomorrow but one final question ,
How can i access my sd card with no phone ?? do i need an external sd-to-usb device or something like that ??

Yes, you need an SD-Reader for your PC
Okay , now i have a cooked rom on my sd card (fat32 formatted) named HERMIMG.nbh when i get into bootloader it says loading for a few second then a red number "00068002" appears at the top of the screen and it continues to the tri-colour bootloader
any help ??
Have You already installed HARDSpl correctly via SD-card?
No , i didnt but will it work or i will get the same red number ??
PS : my bootloader version is 1.04 so i guess i dont need hard spl as this one can flash any rom , right ??

JUST FOLLOW ALL THE STEPS ABOVE
No no no no..... HSPL cant be upgraded now via SD card cause th SSPL was unsuccesfull!!!!!.....
Get a XP PC... your batt must be 50% charged or more "better", a working USB cable
NO SD CARD inserted... your XP pc must have NET frameworks 3.5
put your device in bootloader mode.... and upgrade any stock rom to rewrite a valid SPL cause your is corrupted now
then when you get a stock rom working via SSPL you will be able to redo the steps to flash HSPL V7
