Folks,
Anybody having problems loading yahoo sites (m.yahoo.com, us.m.yahoo.com, new.m.yahoo.com) on PIE in Mobile settings? Mine won't work either on 3G/GPRS/Wi-fi. If I change PIE to desktop setting (Tools.. Options..Other) then it works.
There is a thread on Tmobile Forums and Tech Support acknowledge this bug. However, there is no solution yet. (http://forums.t-mobile.com/tmbl/boa...2&thread.id=777&view=by_date_ascending&page=1)
Any suggestions?

Has I was lying in bed too lazy to attempt to get to the desktop. I whipped out my 8525 wm6 schaps in decided I would make my rounds to the different forums. As I made my way to the xda-developers I repeatedly get an error stating the page can not be displayed. My carrier is ATT and I believe their proxy on my device is disabled. Do you think ATT is blocking xda? I was able to get to the site via Opera but the majority of my surfing is on IE due to the full screen layout. I might have to get past it and start using opera period however rather not. I like being able to see the whole web page in one column view. With Opera-mini I find my self having to scan down hit next page and so on. Have anyone else ran into this problem? In the past I was able to view xda with no problems what so ever.
Is it possible for someone to actually confirm this?
Can someone please just verify if I am the only user having this problem. I recently upgraded to the newest version of Schaps R/C however retreated back to the older 3.65ver. I wonder if this could actually have caused any issues however doubt it. If anyone with an 8525 on att verify this please
Works for me...
I'm ATT/8525 and connecting to XDA with no problem
works for me too, using wap.cingular and proxy dissabled, i have had issues trying to connect to some pages with media net settings and the proxy settings.
No Problem
I just got off the XDA site using PIE, my 8525 and WM6. No issues.
Hi.
Im having problems with email on my Desire. Everything was working OK but now it seems that my emails will only download when using wifi.
If i go to my webmail page on my phone i get an error "Web page not available" and "HTTP error code 504"
If i go to my webmail page on a desktop it appears fine
Not sure if this is:
a) Something I have done myself (I switched off data while on holiday recently)
b) Something that Froyo has done (unbranded Desire with Froyo update)
c) Something that T-Mobile has done (blocked certain sites ?)
d) Something that my email provider (Tesco) has done
All other internet browsing is fine - its just the webmail page that refuses to work. I have tried it with the stock browser and also Dolphin HD.
The email widget shows its trying to sync and then 'completes' and puts a completed time in .... but hasnt retrieved the latest emails
any thoughts please ?
OK - Same site is 'unavailable' on my wifes Wildfire.
Site is also available using wifi on my Desire
Rules out Froyo .....
Can a webiste 'block' itself from mobiles ?
Would T-Mobile 'block' a webmail site ?
Thoughts anyone ?
Site still works fine from a desktop......
lol... im the only one replying to my own query
update for anyone interested....
Tesco say their system is fine.
Been on the phone to technical support who are stumped .... as T-Mobile havent officially released Froyo they couldnt even escalate the problem (my phone was an unbranded upgrade through carphone warehouse)
Did a hard reset today and still no better (mind you the hard reset also screwed up my ability to receive MMS but i sorted that quickly - the T-Mobile setup didnt work right !)
so to summarise now - My POP3 email will receive quite happily over wifi but not by 3G, even the setup states it cant connect to validate when using 3G but the setup runs fine over wifi.
My webmail will load happily over wifi - but not over 3G .....
T-Mobile have now suggested I contact HTC support. Anyone got any experience of how useful they are ???
Maybe someone will have some hints for me soon otherwise i'll end up with a huge thread just from me
I've searched everywhere and I can't find out why my MMS pics are less than 10kb. They are the size of tic tacs. I can't find anything in settings either. I'm running jboogies orange final froyo 4. Any ideas? Thanks.
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
I had this problem in the past with my Window Mobile (WM) phone. Currently I'm using the Defy and tested multiple roms and never have any of the tiny MMS problem. But with my WM phone, I had that problem due to the phone not supported by the service provider (I was told by the Rep from T-mobile). There is a patch that can fix this problem but to bad its only for WM phones. The weird thing is, I know many people who use WM phone that is not supported by their service provider and they have no problem with the tiny MMS. Anyway, try flashing a different rom and find out if that solve the problem or not. Good luck.
I fixed the problem. In messaging, under settings, there is an option to use a custom user-agent. I'd tried this before without success, but the trick is to choose a phone that your network will recognize. I am on T-mobile and chose a Blackberry 8800 user-agent and the problem is solved.
Hello,
for me (and some other users from Germany), Facebook Chat has not been working for several days.
It simply shows all Facebook contacts as beig offline. This is the case both in Windows Phone and Windows Live Messnger (all instances).
I don't think Microsoft hat acknowledged the problem but I also did not find a similar thread here.
Does Facebook Chat not work for anybody else as well? If so, where do you live?
All systems go here in Chicago
.i'm having the same problem.
.i'm in malaysia
Apparently Microsoft or Facebook fixed this issue as it is working again for me and many other users from Germany.
I have the same problem on 2 phones. Romania
I'm from germany and the problem does still exist for my hd7 phone.
p.s. i still didnt switch to the new timeline view till now. maybe thats the cause of the problem?

Yes some people noted that after they switched to timeline it worked again, but I have had timeline since months and I did not change anything to get Facebook Chat to work again.
Might be worth a shot but to be honest I think it is just a coincidence.
BTW guys do you use it on 2g or 3g or wifi?
Any battery drains?
wujuu
same problem for me..
what is happening here, anyone got a fix for this?
.it's really bad
I think it has something to do with facebook, I have had "chat not available
" on my laptop off and on for about a week.
Hi,
I love this phone, but one point drives me crazy.
When I have 2 SIM enabled, and logged in to LTE network, I can't open several websites (ex. threema.ch).
When only one SIM is active, all is fine. As well when I'm logged in to WiFi.
As well when 3G is active, all is working.
When I use the phone as HotSpot, I can access the website via laptop.
Therefore the LTE connection is not the problem.
Can someone please try the same with his SIM and report back?
Thanks in advance
BR
I can confirm exactly the same behaviour with LTE over Telekom DE and o2 DE.
Unfortunately, I don't have a solution other than switching on VPN now an then to receive new Threema messages.
Sony recommends to repair the system software (make a backup in advance) via the Companion software, but I haven't tested that yet.
Thanks for testing. I don't think that repair of system software will fix the issue.
I already tried with installing FW from different Region, what is this in principle.
No improvement.
The Sony support told me that the issue also exists for WhatsApp (which I use rarely so I can't really confirm that), so I hope the issue will get a higher priority.
My bug report with Threema's stack trace and so on was forwarded to Sony's dev team. Let's hope for the best.
I get mixed results for wifi tethering. Connected Android devices and an iPhone I tested won't connect to threema.ch, but a Windows 10 notebook does. Can you confirm that?
Yes, I can confirm.
I only tested tethering with a Win10 Laptop. Threema.ch was ok.
There are now a lot of messages as well in the Sony support forum.
As well I had issues with streaming from Netflix. But after the update yesterday this wa fixed.
I expect the priority of Netflix is even higher then for Threema
Hi,
Did sony confirm the problem with two SIM?
On the Sony support site, only message from users confirming the problem:
https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-XZ2-Compact/Issue-4g-mobile-internet-with-2-SIM-in-my-xz2c/td-p/1314928/page/3
Local support does not confirm the problem at all...
I hope the problem with two SIM will be fix soon, but for now I don't have any information from Sony that they are working on a fix it
Thanks
Sony confirmed in an email that the issue is also known for WhatsApp and that the support is waiting for feedback from their dev team.

This gives hope for a quick solution
Thanks for the info
After update software to version 51.1.A.4.225 the issue has been fixed
