how to update to rom 6

hi guys,
i m bit confused here,
first thing first.
i have o2 orbit (Ireland) and it give me these information on boot.
IPL 1.25.001
SPL 1.25
GSM 02.67.90
OS 1.25.0.0
and if i check start->settings-> About
Windows Mobile 5.0 OS 5.1.342 (Build 15096.3.0.0).
as i have version 5.0 can i update it to 6 and what way should i go?
do i need to unlock something as i heard i can not just update it. can any one please through some light on it. (its my first experience with pda)

First you have to use USPL (search the forum, you will find).
then you can download the rom you want and upgrade it....

Download the Full edition which will have two batch files one for applying USPL and the other to Update ROM!
You may also search for the new Radio 2.97 and update it!

All device info gone ???

I'm pretty new at this, so I'll explain how i've gotten in to this.
1. Bought a HTC tytn UK and I wanted it in dutch
2. Since I couldn't find an original rom i flashed it to the dutch rom from shap's (wich is actually great)
3. Then i did find an original rom but wasn't able to flash it so i used "HTC Hermes SIM & CID Unlock - v3a"
4. The original dutch rom works fine now, except when i go to device info
Rom version: empty
Rom date: empty
Radio version: empty
Protocol version: empty
CPU: 8 squars
speed: 6 squarsBe...
No imei number and so on.
Can someone please help me, maybe in the future when i try to sell the phone this must be ok.

edit: original bootloader and ipl were: SPL-2.05 IPL-1.04 (maybe it has something to do with that?)

1) you need to flash HardSPL
2) make sure you have flashed a new radio after using the CID/SIM unlocker, due to the fact that it downgrades it to a very old radio for it to work.

I had this issue when I tried a version of HTC Home Customizer that I found somewhere on the net.
To make it all come back, I had to hard reset, and not reinstall the program that caused it. I'm not sure if any other programs could cause that issue, or why it was caused.

I've flashed my device to HardSPL. now wich radio rom should I use?
I've found several radio rom but I don't have a clue wich one is best for me (Belgium, Mobistar)

flash a shipped ROM from here, there is a dutch HTC from there. get to boot loader, pressing the ok on the left, power on right, and stick stylus in at the same time. plug it to active sync, and run the exe file from the WM 6 rom upgrade/downgrade.

O2 xda diamond flashing problem

I have o2 xda diamond -but when i see the device setting it's say (htc touch diamond p3700) with ID DIAM300

i was flash my phone with hard -spL-1.37 olinex and i cant flash any rom
then i flash hard-spL-1.39 olinex .hard-spl-1.40 olinex -development verision .
When i inter boot loader it's hard-spl40 olinex
but i cant flash any rom it's error invaild id trying a lot rom wm6.1
nothing work it's closed at 1% then i see the error
then i trying flashing the rom by storege method but's not work too....
i no know what's the wrong ???

make manual usbflashing threecollor settings and use normal ruu for flash.Maybe im more time use for ole htc diamond because show me message low battery but battery is full 70-80 % and im use usbsettings <threecolor menu> and flash

Hi, I also have an o2 xda ignito...Download the attached file, and extract "SSPL_Manual" onto your phone and run it, the screen will go blank...now just flash with hard spl olinex 1.93 unsigned by running "DiamonCustomRUU" and then flash the rom of your choice.

Upgrading O2 XDA Ignito

I would like to thank every one in this forum for all the great help & support.
I have learned a lot from here on how to tweak my 1st windows mobile
My HTC is O2-UK branded :
XDA Ignito
DIAM300 64M
SPL-2.07.0000
ROM version: 2.10.206.1 WWE
ROM date: 24/06/2009
Radio: 1.13.25.24
Protocol version: 52.62.25.34H_1.13.25.24
Using O2 official ROM upgrade
[Xda Ignit2_UK_2.10.206.1_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.62.25.34_1.13.25.24_Ship.exe]
What I want to do is just put a clean ROM (may be HTC original) without all the additional software that comes with the branded ROM
The reason for this is my windows folder is filled with unnecessary stuff that I can’t delete (like opera9 & some ringtones) which is taking some precious space (file properties show it's ROM files).
My question is:
1- Which HardSPL should I use?
I’ve read this great tutorial & I’ve gathered that I need Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex & this (correct me if I am wrong)
Thanks to cozzykim for his MiniTUT but does it matter if I have SPL 2.07 & install an older version (like Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex 1.40 or 1.93) or should I wait for an upload of SPL 2.07 ??
2- Does it matter if the SPL I install is signed or not when it comes to installing cooked ROMs in this forum vs official HTC ROMs ?
3- If I want to revert back to the stock ROM for warranty reasons, can I still do that? & how ? (revert back to same SPL & ROM) ?
I've got the extracted files from the official rom which include [01_SPL.nb] which is SPL-2.07.0000, (if anyone is interested I can upload it).
So can I reinstall this in future? or just run the full official ROM.exe installer to put everything back as it was (including original SPL)?
Before any one starts flaming about searching before opening a new thread, I did search (spent two weeks reading through different posts) & I did not find any mention (or upload) of Hard SPL 2.07 (only found 1.93).
I found previous threads with similar questions not answered so thought may be it's better to open a new thread than digging & bringing up a one year old thread.
Pardon me for my noobish questions but this is my 1st flash & I am sure it will be easier afterwards but I hope answering these questions will make it easier for noobs like me & to those with XDA ignito.
Any help is appreciated & if any moderator thinks this is a repeat post & should be closed then feel free to do so.

My fone doesn't have warranty so I don't care to roll-back to stock rom . I can't help you but I think someone can.

One question though, does it matter if you have a newer SPL than 1.40?
I mean did you have the same SPL (1.40) before installing OliNex 1.40 or it doesn't really matter what version is in your phone?
(mine is 2.07 & I am not sure if it's ok to install an older version like 1.40 or 1.93)

Ok I've done it
Same steps as thangkls
1. Hard SPL - used OliNex 1.40 [Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex].
2. Reset to bootloader to check Hard SPL .
3. Flashed with A.Z.T.O.R. Re-Evolution
& I must say, it looks great so far (especially the landscape feature).
I'll worry about the warranty later (though I think restoring a newer SPL 2.07 should work the same way, as explained here)

Actually this was the 2nd ROM on my list to test.
I liked A.Z.T.O.R. Re-Evolution but had to abandon due to a keyboard bug.
Gen.Y D2 R5.3 looks great with 15MB more storage space & same memory use.
No bugs so far.

[Question] Restore official ROM

Hi everybody,
I need to restore my HTC Touch diamond to the original WM 6.1 immediately.
I'm using Windows Revolution 7.1 Titanium & TF3D2.1 & TF3D & Clean [WM6.5] , RADIO: 1.15.25.14
used MTTY to upgrade.
So what do I need to do? Do I need to do anything with HardSPL and Radio,
or I just download the exe and the rom from htc.com and run it ?
and when I tried to download the official rom from htc, it says that
