AT&T SX56 w/XDA-dev Special Edition ROM v1.2 HOW UPGRADE

I have an AT&T Siemens SX56. I used the XDA-developers Special Edition ROM v1.2 to get my SIM Lock disabled. I have T-Mobile service and my T-Mobile SIM now works, hoooray!
However!, The version of Pocket PC on this ROM is not to my liking.
I went to siemens site and they offer the latest Windows Mobile 2003 for my device, however I can't use it becuase my ROM versions don't match.
IS there any way I can upgrade the latest Windows mobile 2003? What would be the recommended method?
My current SX56 info:
Rom Version: 3.17.03 ENG
Radio Version: A.33.02
Protocol Version: 1.3.3
Model No. says: PW10a1 (even though it says on the back PW10b1)
MS Pocket PC 3.0.12039 (build 11178)
Any help or advice would be appreciated. I scared to do anything for fear that using a ROM kitchen might toast my ROM

the rear sticker is THE right one .. your device is B and it works on 900/1900 MHz.
As long you don't touch the RSU part and you are using the SD method for ROM flashing, there is almost nothing can go wrong for using the kitchen for ROM cooking. I can't remember how many times I flashed my ROM

Hmm... So what version of ROM on this ROM kitchen website would be most recommended: http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org/ ?
Also is there a reason why you are only allowed 3620kb of ROM space? I thought my device had 32MB?
All I would have to do is create the ROM on that site save it as a .exe and then it would do everything else?

I forgot to mention that I have the Wallaby Boot loader version 5.22, if that makes any difference.
I also was wondering if the newer radio versions make any difference on reception/clarity/availablity of a signal????
Another thing I was wondering about is... How come on this ROM kitchen website http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org/ I have to e-mail information and await instuctions to proceed? Does he have to give me a special number that is generated to make the ROM I downloaded work w/ my IMEI or device?? Or is that totally not right???

I have always thought, i am a ppc-pro.
But now, i am at the end of my wisdom.
My Device is the MDA Vario II from T-Mobile (get it 1 week ago).
First i have done was to visit the xda-devs, read all about upgrading a hermes, flashed HardSPL, flashed Schaps 3.54b -> all went fine.
Now i would like to try this Official Rom and this is where i stuck.
Can i simply Flash this one and is my Device after that still with HerdSPL or do this overwrite my IPL / SPL.
If this is so, can i reflash HardSPL and change to any other Rom (Schaps new one, when released or else).
Sorry for so many questions, i really read all the Wiki - Sites but i can not figured out how this work.
Because my English is not so good and it is hard to read so many technical Threads.

give it a day and someone will cut the bloat out and release it with a custom ruu if your unsure

i have extract this by myself and repacked it without the ipl.nb and spl.nb.
but i am not sure if i can flash this with the ruuwrapper.exe found on this forum.

This is possibly the most impressive released ever!
T-Mobile UK have been saying that there would be no update for the past 12months and its got an official release!

... and it appears to be identical to the test version pushed out a few months back. Presumably the "For Test only" splashscreen has been removed.

Indeed it has been and its fast, I went into Hard-SPL and it flashed up!

Never been so happy with my Windows Mobile 6.

Has installed okay on mine with no messing around with RUU's or anything.
No test version on the splash, although its a little jarring to go back to the god awful pink and white on first reboot. Now where did I put my Black themes......?

I really miss the original Spawn splash screen. Did anyone ever actually release an installer for it?

Tmobile Mda 4 Rom upgrade!

I have a Tmobile Mda 4 (diamond) and I want to install a custom or anonther rom, in Dutch or if the new version is avaible in English. I have found a Hard Spl(unsigned), en tryed. It was succesfull. Radio upgrade was not succesfull and rom upgrade was not succesfull. I see on my screen 0% and if i get out the battery and start again. I see Tmobile and the phone work normaly.
My Phone info:

Rom Datum: 06/20/08
Radioversie: 1.00.25.03
Can somebodey help me with easy instructions?
I see much programs but I am carefully because I won't brick my phone.
I Use Microsoft Vista (home), but its no problem to use Vista premium or Microsoft XP if it is recommended

Dont now but seems that you can have the wrong hardspl? I use 1.93olinex and it works just fine

I'm pretty new at this, so I'll explain how i've gotten in to this.
1. Bought a HTC tytn UK and I wanted it in dutch
2. Since I couldn't find an original rom i flashed it to the dutch rom from shap's (wich is actually great)
3. Then i did find an original rom but wasn't able to flash it so i used "HTC Hermes SIM & CID Unlock - v3a"
4. The original dutch rom works fine now, except when i go to device info
Rom version: empty
Rom date: empty
Radio version: empty
Protocol version: empty
CPU: 8 squars
speed: 6 squarsBe...
No imei number and so on.
Can someone please help me, maybe in the future when i try to sell the phone this must be ok.

1) you need to flash HardSPL
2) make sure you have flashed a new radio after using the CID/SIM unlocker, due to the fact that it downgrades it to a very old radio for it to work.

I had this issue when I tried a version of HTC Home Customizer that I found somewhere on the net.
To make it all come back, I had to hard reset, and not reinstall the program that caused it. I'm not sure if any other programs could cause that issue, or why it was caused.

I've flashed my device to HardSPL. now wich radio rom should I use?
I've found several radio rom but I don't have a clue wich one is best for me (Belgium, Mobistar)

flash a shipped ROM from here, there is a dutch HTC from there. get to boot loader, pressing the ok on the left, power on right, and stick stylus in at the same time. plug it to active sync, and run the exe file from the WM 6 rom upgrade/downgrade.

Can I upgrade or do I need to hack it again?

Last year I receied my HTC Diamond with all this Vodafone stuff on it. I know I download some stuff here to upgrade/hack to the new firmware that was made available by HTC, but which I couldn't install since I had this Vodafone firmware on it. I know have:
ROM: 1.93.404.1 NLD
Rom date: 7/10/2008
Radio: 1.00.25.05
Protocolversion: 52.29.25.12H
Stupid question, but I see many versions being mentioned here, languages, exceptions etc. So, my questions:
1- Could I download the new, official firmware from the HTC site, or do I need to hack it again?
2- Can I download firmware from this site, and if so, what is the latest and most stable for my HTC Diamond?
3- I would like to have Windows Mobile 6.5. Can I install this and will it run on my HTC?
