Hello Everybody
I am new to this site, i am having XDA IIs but its locked on O2. I tryed all posible ways to get unlock but no good luck . please anyone can help me getting this unlock. thankyou
Hi,
Use the search button Lots of posts on this!
But basically you can either:
A) Ring O2, pay them £15 and wait about 10 working days although in my case took about 20. Bah!
B) Visit http://www.imei-check.com/ and pay them £20 and have it unlocked in about 60 seconds (no really - We did my bosses this way!)
Hope that helps.

50 less than 38?
Then, you should help the forum with good information. My math says that 50 bucks for sim unlocking is much much more that 38 for sim/cid unlocking some others are offering. Am I wrong?
I insist, there is some motivated for free an app to unlock this device (Dash/Excalibur) I would donate.
I think we have to try RILGSM unlocking method ( by replacing rilgsm.dll file with a cracked one) agree with me?

Would that method unlock sim, or cid too? I´m not an expert but I can try any suggestions. Sort of guinea pig... and donate if works!
i would donate also
i would also donate if someone were to make an unlock program for the dash/excalibur

Perhaps the easiest way would be to submit all known variants of these DLLs and analyse them for differences/patterns - then it might be possible to figure out what changes are required
This isn't what controls locking or unlocking. You won't be able to do it just by replacing some system files. You have to patch the radio ROM to get it to unlock.
Just pay IMEI to do it in 2 minutes and you will have a SIM unlocked device and CID unlocked.
$50 is too much for simple SIM unlocking since after 3 months with an account with T-mobile they will provide the SIM unlock code for free (only one request during a 3 month period). Perhaps if it includes CID unlock the price would seem reasonable.
Please send all requests by Private Message.... not here.

Hi everyone, i come from Hong Kong,
my friend in UK brought me a desire form Virgin, but it is locked by this network!
I want buy an unlock sim code from the web in UK; however, i don't know which company is reliable and reasonable..........can anyone help me......quite urgent
I have just bought a Desire which is branded Virgin Media from Cex in the UK and it is unlocked.
I have tried a three sim in it and it accepts the card and makes calls (called customer services) but I did not try to go on the web with it as I had no credit.
I am informed that it will not go on the web using a three sim, can anyone confirm this?
I have a Virgin 3G sim in at present and it is working well on the web.
i have retracted my statement since it was a error. the first email did not get throught to me. but the second one did after i made a paypal dispute they replied in less than 2hrs and even sent me a personal message via modaco excellent service apart from the technical error.
i do reccomend HTCSIMUNLOCK.com it worked out £13.77ish

So, which web do u prefer? i've sent a email to htcsimunlock.com, and they replied : "It's 19.95$ and takes from 5 minutes to 12 hours in some rair cases. The average delivery time it's 15 minutes."
How about unlock-htc.com ?
Re unlocking phones.
The easiest, most reliable way to unlock a phone is to contact your service supplier and request an unlock code from them.
I have done this with Orange, T-Mobile and Virgin and it works and is 100% reliable.
DO NOT USE HTCCODE - the guy is a crook.
This is an excellent service though:

I 2nd this, he's a bit hit/miss because some people swear by him but my experience is rubbish, no answer to emails or anything, he doesn't even reply to posts in his own forum
Hi all,
I have my new desire for almost a week now. I am trying to unlock it (it's locked to telus). I have tried many website (mobileincanada, cellunlock....) but they still answer me that the didn't receive the codes for ''new'' Desires.
I didnt ask a refund from cellunlock because he told me that if he doesnt have it, no one else will have it...so I'd better wait (1-3 buisness days) ... after 3 buisness days... they still don't have it.
I've spoken to an other admin from htccode dot com ...and they can 'give it a try'...because they have acess to ''all' databases. I'm not into asking a refund from cellunlock and be stucked again with htccode.
Can someone explain me the theory of 'new databases' Vs 'old databases' ?
How do these buisness work? How can they have to htc databases... why HTC give them access?
Hopefully I will find someone here who's in my situation and will try to help out.
Thanks fellas.
PS: I'm form montreal Canada...the cell is locked for telus...and I want to use it with fido (rogers)
I got a unlock code from cellunlock around a month ago, 10 minutes after I paid. Guess you just have to wait.
Finally got it from cellunlock! It took a week...but they delivered. Sometimes...you just have to wait for HTC to update their database.
If highly recommend cellunlock. Trully professional. We exchange ~10 mails... They have an awesome support...and respond very fast.
Will defintetly work with them again.
Hey guys,
today I got my desire. this morning, 10 am. at 10.01 am, I went on www.htccode.com and I paid for the code.
this guy is registered in this forum as "ferraripassion"
the site says that I should receive an email asking my HTC desire IMEI code, but I didn't get anything
11 hours passed, but I still didn't get any email asking me any serial number or code
is this website reliable?
I've unlocked a hero and desire through them and they were pretty good with me to be fair. I would use them again even though it was pricey to unlock the desire
If they don't work out for you, you may want to check out:
www.cellunlock.net (Use coupon code crackb50 for 50% off). I've used them twice to unlock Desires and both times they have responded with a couple of hours.
I used thefonecenter01 from eBay sent them my IME they said yes can be done. Paid for unlock code got it instantly via email and unlocked phone. 5 mins in total. I would recommend 100%
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
still no answer...
Have you tried the live chat thing on the website mate?
I called him (IN INDIA!!!) and he said that he would send me the code in 1 hour (when it was 15:00 GMT+1 time)
after 1 hour, he did send me an email, but stating that I should add 15$ as my desire is too new and need another database. I paid, and now I'm still waiting..
finally it arrived
35$ but the desire is so good that it was worth it
htccode is ok sit .. i use it every week
Good morning .
I write to explain that on site HTCCODE.com when you buy for a code to unlock your htc you need to :
Select your model from "Unlock HTC Now" page.
Enter the IMEI (Dial *#06# to get the IMEI), enter this IMEI carefully in the HTC tool and click on Submit. This tool will point you to the correct purchase ie HTC Old, HTC New or HTC Super New records.
You can pay using Paypal or Moneybookers(Ideal,Bank Account etc.)
Once the transaction is complete, download the HTC CODE software.
A few antivirus might falsely detect this as a Trojan or a virus, please do not worry it is just that the program is packed with execryptor(to reduce the size and prevent it from being cracked) , you can add this program to the exception list or disable the antivirus for a few minutes.
In the software enter the paypal email address and transaction id and then click on Create Account button.
A login id and password will be emailed to you.
Enter the login id and password in the HTC CODE/TotalGSM client and enter the IMEI in the IMEI box and click on service 1 for $20 option and service 2 for $35 option and then click on send.
After a few minutes click on get, your code will be displayed in the software.
Now enter a non accepted sim card into the phone (other than the one it is locked to) and turn on the phone.
You will be asked to enter SIM Network unlock pin, enter the code that the software displayed.
Your Phone is unlocked in a few minutes
We don't need unlock codes on the desire. There is a free utility in this forum that we can use to unlock it ourselves
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
Some searching would have saved you those 35$

Do not pay $$$ to unlock your desire!
As mentioned elsewhere, you no longer need to pay anyone to unlock your desire, there is a thread on how to do it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943726
Please dont pay others to do what you can do for yourself for free... Theres plenty of people on here that will help if needed...
