www.htccode.com - are them reliable? - Desire General

Hey guys,
today I got my desire. this morning, 10 am. at 10.01 am, I went on www.htccode.com and I paid for the code.
this guy is registered in this forum as "ferraripassion"
the site says that I should receive an email asking my HTC desire IMEI code, but I didn't get anything
11 hours passed, but I still didn't get any email asking me any serial number or code
is this website reliable?

I've unlocked a hero and desire through them and they were pretty good with me to be fair. I would use them again even though it was pricey to unlock the desire

If they don't work out for you, you may want to check out:
www.cellunlock.net (Use coupon code crackb50 for 50% off). I've used them twice to unlock Desires and both times they have responded with a couple of hours.

I used thefonecenter01 from eBay sent them my IME they said yes can be done. Paid for unlock code got it instantly via email and unlocked phone. 5 mins in total. I would recommend 100%
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App

still no answer...

Have you tried the live chat thing on the website mate?

I called him (IN INDIA!!!) and he said that he would send me the code in 1 hour (when it was 15:00 GMT+1 time)
after 1 hour, he did send me an email, but stating that I should add 15$ as my desire is too new and need another database. I paid, and now I'm still waiting..

finally it arrived
35$ but the desire is so good that it was worth it

htccode is ok sit .. i use it every week
Good morning .
I write to explain that on site HTCCODE.com when you buy for a code to unlock your htc you need to :
Select your model from "Unlock HTC Now" page.
Enter the IMEI (Dial *#06# to get the IMEI), enter this IMEI carefully in the HTC tool and click on Submit. This tool will point you to the correct purchase ie HTC Old, HTC New or HTC Super New records.
You can pay using Paypal or Moneybookers(Ideal,Bank Account etc.)
Once the transaction is complete, download the HTC CODE software.
A few antivirus might falsely detect this as a Trojan or a virus, please do not worry it is just that the program is packed with execryptor(to reduce the size and prevent it from being cracked) , you can add this program to the exception list or disable the antivirus for a few minutes.
In the software enter the paypal email address and transaction id and then click on Create Account button.
A login id and password will be emailed to you.
Enter the login id and password in the HTC CODE/TotalGSM client and enter the IMEI in the IMEI box and click on service 1 for $20 option and service 2 for $35 option and then click on send.
After a few minutes click on get, your code will be displayed in the software.
Now enter a non accepted sim card into the phone (other than the one it is locked to) and turn on the phone.
You will be asked to enter SIM Network unlock pin, enter the code that the software displayed.
Your Phone is unlocked in a few minutes

We don't need unlock codes on the desire. There is a free utility in this forum that we can use to unlock it ourselves

Some searching would have saved you those 35$

I just took a look at their website, seems like to be real

Do not pay $$$ to unlock your desire!
As mentioned elsewhere, you no longer need to pay anyone to unlock your desire, there is a thread on how to do it here:

Please dont pay others to do what you can do for yourself for free... Theres plenty of people on here that will help if needed...

I am informed that it will not go on the web using a three sim, can anyone confirm this?
I have a Virgin 3G sim in at present and it is working well on the web.
i have retracted my statement since it was a error. the first email did not get throught to me. but the second one did after i made a paypal dispute they replied in less than 2hrs and even sent me a personal message via modaco excellent service apart from the technical error.

How about unlock-htc.com ?
Re unlocking phones.
The easiest, most reliable way to unlock a phone is to contact your service supplier and request an unlock code from them.
I have done this with Orange, T-Mobile and Virgin and it works and is 100% reliable.
DO NOT USE HTCCODE - the guy is a crook.
This is an excellent service though:

Trustworthy sites to Unlock your Phone

Since there was a thread about a scam over unlocking I'm a bit more concerned about what site I choose to unlock my phone.
What would you people recommend? Trusted and safe site?
I've heard a lot of good stuff about unlock-zone. What others have users on here used?
I used www.htcsimunlock.com
I unlocked mine on ebay, it was cheaper than most sites, was fast, and you'll have the paypal insurance, so nothing can go wrong.
I used htccode.com successfully 2 times. As I stated in the other post, the downloaded application did not work at first attempt (could not connect to server) so I used the Live Support link on the homepage, and an engineer detected my logged in user name, requested the IMEI code and emailed the unlock code within 10 minutes.
This is the 2nd time I have used them, and it would be tough to get better service in my opinion.
I am sure some individuals may have problems, but htccode has worked fine for me twice.

Used ebay and had the unlock code in about a minute cost £8,99 and no faffing around like some of the other sites.

[Q] Any way to sim-unlock HTC Wildfire S for free

Dear All,
sorry if anyone has asked this already.
Is there a way to unlock HTC wildfire S from Three (UK mobile provider) for free.
To be honest, I don't even mind paying the 15 US dollars for a online unlocking service, but I tried this already yesterday and the dudes from htcsimunlock.com (or whatever that is) told me that they cannot provide me with an unlocking PIN.
Also, I rooted the phone yesterday, but this didn't solve the issue.
Any comments will be highly appreciated.
Thank you

i guess you wil have to s-off .. for s-off you can gogle for XTC clip you may find a cheap used one on ebay or amazon or may get it on rent some where in your locality..
Try to make contact with your service provider Three, in my country some service providers give unlock code for free
Although not recommended, I took a shot at an eBay service to unlock mine. They did provide the correct PIN but took them a while (2 days actually ). Give it a shot if you want to, they provide a refund if they can't get it done as well..

If you are looking for a cheap unlock solution for your HTC One X i suggest you go here.
I used them before twice and they are very reliable and extremely cheap,
Also should mention you don't buy this on Ebay, you enter your phone details on the description of the product on Ebay and then click "buy now"
then it will take you to paypal where you pay for it.

I tried and it seems like it took me to a weird paypal site, and after purchasing the transaction isn't displayed in my Paypal history, password changed super fast after that... Not sure if I trust them.
Just an update that I've just received a code from them and it is now showing up in PayPal. I haven't tried the code yet as I'm out and don't have a micro sim with me but would still advise anyone to change there password after using the service and not to enter their phone number.

Why are you so security obsessed? it's using Paypal and your details will be safe, what's so weird about it? it's just has their logo on the payment page lol
So this unlocks my phone and changes the cid? Allowing me to get OTA WWE updates as opposed to carrier branded crap?

Only changing the CID (ie SuperCID ) changes the CID. This is a SIM UNLOCK which allows carrier locked handsets to be unlocked and used with another carrier's SIM.

[HELP] unlock alcatel idol 4s T-Mobile

Hi.
Someone will know how to unlock Alcatel idol 4s Windows from T-mobile?
I not have T-Mobile Account. i do not live in US. I called T-Mobile but they ask for an account to be able to unlock this cellphone.
Can it be unlocked through a service or Software?
Thanks and Regards!
There are sim unlocking/network unlocking services. I am aware of a good one for Lumias, but have not had luck on the IDOL4s yet. Maybe someone can give a suggestion of a valid one they used more recently...

Yes, I have contacted several services but none to result, one that you recommend me?
I have only tried one that says they will do it, but it resulted in no service provided thus far. I have since put in a dispute/claim with paypal. The order still says in progress when I check the site. It has been that way since 5/28. So maybe their turnaround is much longer than what is advertised. No communication from them at all too. So at this point I have not one to recommend.

I do not use T-Mobile service, much like your self. I had a situation where Alcatel in an attempt to replace my last Idol 4s mailed me the T-Mobile locked model instead of what I sent in which was the unlocked model. The only site I found when looking for a whole day was simunlock.com, they say they support unlocking it and let you fill the form out on the site with the information required.

Yes, the site seems false, if there are more sites like unlockonline, anyway, in every site that asks me the provider id, but neither the device nor the box appear. Thanks
The provider ID is on the sticker that was on the back of the phone.

When I bought the phone I did not have the sticker. I found a page where you enter the imei and it shows the model, the brand and the provider id. I do not know exactly if the provider ID that shows is the correct one, in your case could you give me an example of the provider id of your alcatel? Since as I tell you, mine does not bring the sticker
@rjcs123
This was the provider ID on the sticker for the T-Mobile variant Alcatel mistakenly sent me. 6071w-2btbus7
@nate0 is the same provider id that throws me the page = 6071W-2BTBUS7-1, model = Alcatel 4S Pro TMO

Are you making progress?
Someone on Windows Central sent me a message on a work around way they used to unlock this model. Below I summarized it.
A workaround for the unlock code:
A for sure way is to have T-Mobile to unlock it. But you need service with them to get the unlock code while having nothing owed on the phone or account. Call them and ask for the cheapest prepaid plan for one month, so that you can get the unlock code? He ordered a $5.99 sim card with 30 minutes and 30 text messages he used that for a few days so the IMEI can show as active in their database. I will follow up with him to see if he did in fact unlock it already.
UPDATE: Turns out T-Mobile was not telling the truth and needed more from his account then they lead on. So he canceled that method. T-Mobile did however share a unlocking site for him to consider, which is strange. But I guess they were doing what they could to provide customer satisfaction.
I'm also interested in finding a way to unlock my Alcatel 4S Windows. I sent my unlocked phone in for earpiece repairs and they sent it back to me SIM locked with a new IMEI. I have no clue why such a repair requires a new IMEI and relocking back to TMO (the device is the same, perhaps system board change?). I even left a note that the phone is unlocked and I need it to remain unlocked after the repairs. Now I'm stuck. I'm not with TMO and have no way to unlock it.
My first Alcatel phone and I don't even get to use it.
Tried to get TMobile to provide the code for 2 months before I switched, they repeatedly said it was requested, never received it.
Could not find any vendors that could provide the code.
Contacted Alcatel and they said only Tmobile had the unlock codes.
Gave up and bought a 650, but will most likely switch to iOS when it breaks. Apps are disappearing daily and W10M is god awful slow. Sad really!!!!!

Alcatel has been a pain in the neack honestly...FFU is still broken for the open market model. Probably why they feel they have to send out T-Mobile units not realizing they are locked to the T-Mobile network...lol
UPDATE: after speaking to a few support reps, one finally figured out what happened, that some of us were screwed over getting a phone we can't use. Got a prepaid shipping label and returned it. Now I have a brand new in box open market version with VR headset and everything (I already have one but I'm not complaining). I'm satisfied for now. Just worried the next time the speaker blows and I have to send it in for service again...

Has there been any further progress? I would be interested to know which unlock site TMO recommended. I have tried 3 sites in total and received 2 refunds so far. I was able to get an unlock code using an Android app on another phone, but I just receive the message "incorrect code" when I input on the Idol 4s.
