How do I change the boot screen? I've got a Vodafone branded TP2 and don't like the logo flashing up when I turn it on. I know I can change the START_VF and SHUT_VF gifs but the very first screen is still Vodafone.
Also, how can I change the soft keys on the TouchFlo 3D Home screen? I've tried Advanced Config tool but can't seem to find it.

That splash (in fact there are 2) is part of the ROM. If you want to change it you have to wait until HardSPL is available.

The option in Advanced Config works only if touchflo3d is not active.

Did you tried to flash back to radio 1.50 or lower?
Michele
You have to set you're pda in the bootmode ( reset button + ok and power button )
Then reflash youre pda with a other Radio Rom.
Good luck
I even tried to flash back to 1.48 and still im stuck at the align screen. I think the screen died at the same time i flashed the 1.51 radio. Now the real issue now is how to skip the align screen after hard reset because the touch screen is gone.
I'm sure one of the chefs could cook a ROM that skips the setup screens...
There is a remote alignment application that allows you to skip the alignment screen.....but you obviously wont be able to use the touch screen.
could you please give me a link of the remote alignment screen program? Im sure the touch screen is dead and i think ill be fine with the manual buttons.
Hope some chef will cook a rom that will skip this align screen thing.
I must be in a good mood, because I found this on google in two clicks....why you can't is beyond me....

wow. it works! thank you so much. now i can use my phone again but the touch screen. i think i'll be fine without it. =)
A friend gave me a TMobile Dash which only crashing on the second TMobile screen, wont go any further than that. Active sync won't detect it. I have tried to hard reset with no luck. I can access the bootloader mode and it shows:
Excalibur
ONBL 1.22.0000
Excalibur
SPL 1.22.0000
Excalibur IU
Is there anything that can be done to revive this phone?
Thanks
Yes you can hold down the sym button (camera button) located down to the right of the space bar. Hold this button down for about 5 seconds and while still holding it down plug in a usb cord and you should see a tri-colored screen. Then flash the phone with the original offical rom (t-mobile rom) which can be download from the link below. Once you have this going you can then update to the 6.1 by following the tutorial. Let me know how it works.
I see a choice of three ROMs for TMobile Dash would anyone do the job?
Yes anyone would do the choice, the most recent one is the lowest one (3rd).
I used 1.22.531.4 an it still only just stays at the second tmobile screen.
1.22.531.6 is has a RUU_signed.nbh file in it not to sure how to use this.
Any other fixes?
Try to use another one, see if it works. And also, are you running it from your computer...
Yes I am running it form my computer. None of the others are working either.

Excalibur
SPL 1.22.0000

Is there anything else that can be done or is this phone now a paper weight?
Hello, this is my first post here. I tried to install Windows Mobile 6.5 as indicated in Gizmodo http://gizmodo.com/5281397/how-to-install-windows-mobile-65-right-now but it didn't work and now my phone won't boot.
The phone is an HTC Touch Diamond from Sprint. I followed all the steps indicated and everything look fine, but after installing the OS the phone displays the screen TOUCH DIAMOND, and then restarts and displays the same thing. I'm able to get into the boot loader (Tri color screen) and says:
DIAM500
SPL-0.57.CMONEX
MicroP-Diam (LED) vB
PSOC-Diam STAGE_EVT v20.
I don't know what to do now
Thanks
try to load back to default setting by pressing the power on button at the top of the phone, before the "Touch Diamond" logo come up, press and hold volume down button and the center button until the three color screen come out, then release the two button you are pressing..
if the problem still happen, that mean the rom you are using should have risk on it..
give it up and try other rom or flash it again..
hope my suggestion can help you solve the problem..
dont worry.
if bootloader is possible as you write
than you can flash all time orig. rom back.
Flash from Olinex 1.40 screen?

Hi I have the same issue on my HTC Diamond. I flashed wm 6.5 and it was working fine, then it hanged on titanum weather. I reset and it stayed on the HTC Diamond page, I did hard reset and got the Olinex 1.40 3 color page. It does respond from serial to usb when I plug/unplug. Can I reflash without active sync?
Turns out I was able to flash, but both roms I tried work well on 1st install, but stay stuck on the Touch Diamond screen everytime I restart de device. Is it a problem with the radio not compatible , or is there a specific Hspl for each ROM???
I found solution for this problem. If your diamond won't boot go to bootloader mode and upgrade your radio http://modmydiamond.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15&Itemid=26 and after that your dimond worked fine without loosing data.
try to hard reset the phone by pressing vol down key + the center button + reset button.
if the problem is still like dat..
try to install another rom..

Thanks davidwong007 for your help, I was experiencing the same issue as op and your method did the trick. For a minute there I thought I had bricked my HTC Touch. I did step by step what you suggested and ended up in the rainbox screen, once I was able to do that, I knew there was a hope. i did a full factory reset of the phone and voila the phone fully booted, the pain in the butt touchflow loaded. Very important thing I forgot to do in the past is to back up my phone, after the restore you will lose everything on phone, except what is in the internal storage. Thanks again.
hey,
when i install this, my 3dtouchflo wont start and my start buttom top left is giving me the old dropdown menu again.
is this normal?

So guys I would really appreciate some help on this. I dropped my phone the other day and a very minor crack happened on the corner of the screen. Now every time I turn on my phone or reset it, it says that the phone has detected screen damage and goes on "Hardware Key Control Mode" and everything is disabled.
The rest of the screen looks totally fine and the crack is on the bottom corner where the hardware keys are, and those keys work fine as well. I believe the rest of the screen still functions but I cant remove this mode. I turned off the phone and pressed all 3 buttons and then tried disabling it but it goes back into "Hardware Key Control Mode" after restarting. Is there a way I can remove this somehow? I dont mind flashing if necessary. Would REALLY appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

Your phone is likely detecting a damaged digitizer. The screen will be unable to detect touches even if you could disable this mode.

Hmm is there any way to disable it though? Because the hardware keys that are on the screen where it is cracked are working fine... also on the log in screen when you swipe to unlock I can see the background moving when i swipe over it.

I'm not aware of any way to disable it outside of flashing a custom ROM. Do you have TWRP installed, and if so, can you use your touch screen in recovery?

No I did not install TWRP yet. Should I try doing it now? Will I need any touch screen features while doing it?
I installed TWRP on my phone using the phone itself. I don't think there's any other way to flash it, but i could be wrong.

Oh ok, thanks for your help. I will give it a go tonight, some people are saying you can install it using ADB driver commands from cmd prompt. I just hope that after installing a custom rom the Hardware key control feature will go away, because I was reading somewhere that it is stored in a different partition or something.

Hey again, So yea I tried everything . Im trying to use the ABD cmds but since I cant swipe on the screen its not letting me to press "allow" for usb debugging mode, so i cant root then install TWRP .Im stuck here. Is the phone garbage because of this "Hardware Key Control Mode" ? I cant find any way to turn it off or remove it completely. The screen only has one minor crack, and that location near the hardware keys is working fine.

Any one else know what I can do about this issue? there must be some sort of workaround? it is a software issue.
