TT7 working

Hi,
Relating the ongoing discussions on other threads in the Kaiser and Diamond areas I tried the TT7 cab on the MDA Compact 3. Works fine but it is a big hit on storage memory (12mb).

Only used it with the city taster map which is free.
I believe you can buy a 720 map from Tom Tom which should work. I only have 675 map for TT6 which does not get recognised by TT7.

You can buy the V7 maps for the Go/One on TomTom.com. The everything should work.

i´ve installed tt7 and everyrhing is fine, i think this is a little bit faster than the previous one.

Can anyone update his/her maps with Mapshare? At the moment I'm not managing how to do it with TomTom Home.

I helped someone get it working on their Orbit and its working fine.
Only thing is, the GPS button doesn't work now. Does anyone know how to get it working?

go to start>>>>>settings>>>>>>>>personal>>>> buttons, change "Tom Tom navigator.exe" to the other "Tom Tom navigator" mentionded in the dropdownbox with out the .exe for button 1

I've got a p3300 with Artemis_Touch_3[1].01_full running
Storage memory free 42.71 and program memory free 19.05
TT7 Installed on my 2gig memorycard
Still got a problem with the memory when i try running TT7 somebody got a clue?

[PATCH] WVGA - FIX for Navigon Mobile Navigator MN7 v 7.3.2 (Workaround)

Hi,
it seems like Navigon tried to implement WVGA resulution in their latest version of Mobile Navigator MN 7 v7.3.2 ... however, unsuccessful :-(
To make it work, unzip the attached "BinaryConfig.XML" and replace it on the device in the "\navigon\" directory... other files don't need to be replaced any more.
This fix applies only to v7.3.2!

EDIT: I've replaced the first file by 3 others... the first is identical to the original posted here earlier, the others "stretch" mn7 to a mixture between vga and wvga, and to fullscreen wvga. Backgound (in German language can be found here)
to sum that up:
-people who like the version without stretching take the first file,
-people who like higher use of the screen and still want the full functionality (in landscape mode) take the 2nd file,
-people who like full-screen with restrictions to functionality (in landscape mode some software-internal scroll arrows can not be accessed) take the third file

Indeed. The 7.3.2 did not launch and I had to soft reset my Touch HD.

I also run this config, but my Touch HD don`t recognize the internal GPS. What will I have to do that the MobileNavigator will find GPS???

I´ve got the problem, when i want to start the MN7.3.2 in landscape mode, the mn7 goes for approx. 5seconds to horizontal mode, but starts in landscape. Then it rotates to landscape, but the mn7 is cut to the left half.
Has anybody an idea?
I use MaryOne ROM from HelloNasty, so it rotates for itself.

if you haven't changed any gps settings on the hd itself and if you don't use any port splitter like serilot or glopus, it should work with the following manual gps settings in navigon setup:
GPS Type: Internal GPS only
GPS-Port: Com4: ActiveDevice
GPS Baudrate: 4800
TMC: None
at least that works for me...

You have to make sure that the screen is in landscape mode (which means not only hold the device in landscape, but have an open window (i.e. file explorer) which actually is displayed in landscape) BEFORE you start MN7, and it should stay like that all the time. MN7 gets "confused" when you change screen orientation during operation. maybe you should exclude it from your g-sensor app.

Update to MN7.3.2
I Have problems updating to 7.3.2.
Have copied the Software (7.3.1) to the HD in HDD-Mode and installed everything. Then Installed NavigonFresh on my PC and plugd in my HD in HDD-Mode. When I hit Update Navigon-Sofware I get the massage: "Ungültige Gerätedefinition" (=>Invalid Devicedefinition)
What am I doing wrong? Created an Account and everything. Do I Have to buy MN to Update?

HD switching off
Hi all,
Since I have installed navigon MN7, my HD does not switch off automatically anymore.. That's very bad for the battery. Any idea how to solve this problem?

The hard reset may not be necessary; I did it because I wanted to clean the device of any unexpected effects which I was afraid would have been created by MN7 using the "wrong" xmls. Sorry I tried both on my PC (the installation program) and on my HTC HD (my trail version) but coud not find a menu option saying which version of MN7 I have!

Hi all,
today i've bought a Navigon Mobile 7 for my HTC HD2, installed, updated via Freshstuff and till this morning my NM7 wouldnt start at all...i modified it with the files provided here (.xml) tried with soft and hard reset, uninstalled Copilot Live 8 (thought was a kind of conflict). The manual say:
- use 2 gb sd micro card to install the software..i've used 4 gb and 8gb...maybe is mandatory???
the program start and remain freezed fro few second (without any welcome screen, just the pda freezed...) then i checked in the task manager and i saw was in run using 2.49 mb of resources and i had to stop it few time...
now...any solution about? or i have to be again a bad guy and stop to buy software but just have to keep download cracked software?

I have tried to find the answer here at XDA, but i'm still confused...
Which TomTom version is the right one for the Black Stone??
Is the VGA or the QVGA for the Black Stone??

I have installed ttn7.915.9196.vga_black it's work fine, i have only some issue on some size of icon of poi

That's odd, because I use tomtom v. 7.450 (9028) and works fine. But personally, forget silly tomtom and try IGO8. Believe me, you'll see the BIG difference.

IGO8 was born for blackstone, except of the sys.txt, but this is only small inconvenience from the beginning .

What version would work?
I tried IGO_8_v8.3.2.79297.
I was able to select lanq. and voices, but IGO stopped when trying to load the usual "Warning bla bla" (you know this warning any GPS need to show you the first time you use it).
Tried to reboot a few times. Same just made my HD veeeeeery slow so I had to restore it!
Do I need to do something with the sys.txt?

Tt 7.450.9028
7.450.9028 works perfectly (just with small fonts and POI icons).
I still have the issue of GPS dropping signal, but this is seems to be not related to the application used

I am using 7.918.9193 QVGA.cab with map UK v845.2667 on my HD and it runs VERY fast (make sure you are not showing too many POI's you dont need). I have not modified any settings or files for it to work and it displays perfectly and runs fine.
I have it installed to the mem card and I have never had any troubles about low memory.
As for IGo, I am using 8.3.2.97313 and its fast and beautiful, with alot more features than TomTom but I only really use it for the tracking feature and to re trace your tracked route. I used it (well it was MioMap then) to go from one side of Bulgeria to the other via taxi (with tracker on) and then hired a car for the trip back and re traced the route.
The sys.txt was a nightmare to get working but after lots of playing (refused to read people instructions, silly me) I got it working at full RES.
Both amazing but I still use TomTom more

iGo8 on HTC Mini

I have installed iGo8 on the Mini, a lot of work on the sys but finally managed to make it work. I still have one problem, when navigating I don't see the position triangle. Any idea which sys line addresses that?

can you publish sys.txt ?

I downloaded a data.zip file in 480x320 and a sys.txt file modified from a Russian forum and it works, but I have the same problem with the arrow. I'll check that file wranglers, thanks
Edit: Yeah I can see the arrow with yout sys.txt but, can I ask why is only 800 bytes and the one I had before 2.5kb?

Yours is twice as big becouse there are twice as much lines.

Could you give link to correct data.zip ?

How/why are you using portrait mode? Those files are ready to work in landscape mode, I can see everything in my screen

good, how much is version? I only have Nav N Go iGO 8.3.2.96054 version

I'm running 8.3.4.117940, not sure if it makes a difference though.

error after 10 minute of work
Hi all
I there somebody to help me? I tried two versions of iGO8 on my HD mini. Both ver.works fine, but only first ten minutes. Then the screen turns black (there is only time, batery, signal, GPS visible). But I can still hear navi instructions. After few minutes switch PDA off, because of automatic swich off in setting of device.
Than I can start the voice with black screen - press main switch.
But I cant do some else. I have to take the battery out, for restart...
Oops, now I downdloaded new zip files and all works...

I think the problem is because Igo hasn't been designed to work on this screen resolution so somebody changed the data in the branding/data zips. So errors will occur but at least it works for now in Landscape.
Any idea how can I make the position triangle smaller?

I was using iGO8 (8.3.2.64873) on a HTC Magician (S100) and it was working perfectly (except some "out of memory"). Now I tried to use this version on a HD Mini - with the previously posted branding and data.zip; thanks for that, NitroNitrous.
When I start iGO8.exe, the startscreen appears, but right after it shows "INIT API" the startscreen is closed. I tried to modify the sys.txt, but this didn't help.
Does anybody know what I can do about it?

Through several forums and with the help of google I found and took :
iGO Primo™ 1.1 Update (8.5.11.168090) - Nov 17 2010
iGO Primo data.zip for 480x320
GJA 2.14 for primo 1.1 480X320
(GJA 2.14 skin is not mandatory but it is GREAT)
and then copied what I wanted from content iGO 8.3 maps, poi, voices, etc.
after I finished putting all together, I just copied Primo folder on my memory card and started NNGNAVI without that I had to install, and works well (Landscape only)

But I would not miss it.
480x380 resolution seems to me that does not exist, but only 480x272 (what I have) as you can see in the ui_go9 data.zip. Please excuse my bad English.

I'm using TT Navigator on my Mini, but is not easy to add TMC... And the TT Navigator is not released on 320x480, it's a VGA size.. So, it work well but if IGO is designed for HVGA and if I can add TMC... I will change for him !!

I think I understand, so I said "iGO Primo data.zip for 480x320" that must download separately and replace the original
DATA.zip I hope that this will not violate the rules of XDA

What's GJA 2.14 for primo 1.1 480X320 ..? Is just a skin..? (sorry, but I never use iGO.. I have allways TT periph! Navigator and one 920T)

I had to change over the data.zip, including the skin (480x320 resolution). Of course I had to change the settings to the SYS. My relaese is August 2010. Now you start in full screen! I noticed a less brilliant graphics. And the system more 'slow (I set the sys colored bar to launch the deal seems more and more' memory ram). But better! I have to work a little bit above .... Hi, this RDS TMC program looks good, but I have a problem. I think you need to have your headphones plugged to catch the RDS signal, but when is my headphones plugged, the sound of IGO is going through headphones and I’d like to sound through speaker. My IGo version is 5.5.11.168090. Does anyone have solution?

I tried to use headphones and USB cable as an antenna, in car, on the balcony...
I managed to get TMC messages using the "data tmc + gps" settings on the driver during driver test
A few times I got the channels but not the message. I'm changing the iGo Sys
but iGo gets stuck on finding the channel, or says that no TMC
... very frustrating ... I do not know what to do next. Here is the column head for me ends

after many many forum I install my IGO PRIMO on my mini and it works perfectly with all maps, all autovelox, all POI...
I adjust the resolution for our phone...
If You tell me how can I upload the file somewhere I can give You all the Programs ready to be put and works in Your memory cards.

I'm sorry but nothing new seems promising but in fact it is mission impossible.

The more I read the less I wanted there to write anything,
because others make a specific issue of compatibility with the HTC HD Mini-and still no response and that speaks for itself

after many many forum, and many many day and night, I'm uploading on Megaupload my IGO PRIMO 8.5.11.168090 perfectly functioning with all maps!!!
You have only unzip and copy the folder in Your sd and with ( for ex ) ShortCutCreator, create an icon in Your start menu or where You want...
tell me If you are satisfy!!

it will be in italian language and with my settings but You can change everything!
it will be 1.63gb...but there are all the maps!...when You download it You can choose only the map You need...the other ones You can keep...maybe in the future 1 of this will be usefull!!!
