how to get rid of the quick launch menu?

I have the Dutch T-Mobile version of this phone, and one thing really annoys me:
the quicklaunch menu at the bottom of the screen, right above the "Kontakte" and "Kalender" buttons on the photo below (photo is of German version).

Some people have a menu for setting-up this bar, but for some reason I (and a lot of other people) I don't. Does anyone know a registry tweak for altering/deleting this menu?

its in the extended rom (use total commander to get there) its called sp_tray117_1100.cab

Removing: use a hard reset followed by a soft reset before cutomisation to get rid of it. to bad the t-mobile dailerskin is still there after preforming this procedure...

What is ment is the following:
First do a hard reset. When the device reboots, just before the customisation starts, do a soft reset.
The device will now not customize (i.e. add all the T-Mobile stuff ).
Any item you do like from the Extended rom can be installed later. confused: using Total Commander to copy the ExtRom and then piece by piece executing the ExtRom Cabs)
In the ExtRom are for instance the Smart Dialling function, the MMS application etc.....

Do you need to wait for 5 minutes before resetting? Read something about the regestry not being very sticky...

I just installed total commander... but i can't see the ext rom..

guys I'm sorry but this thread is not about total commander, it's about removing the system tray.. Has anyone already tried the hard + soft reset method described above?

How can you see it without looking for Extende_Rom in the root directory?
type it in the root directory, and it is visible even before you finish typing

Yes I Did and it worked. But it uninstalls other stuff as wel so you need total commander to execute te cabs that you do want. So its also about total commander...

It's hidden. Type "\Extended_Rom" into the path bar at the top and press enter.

I'm also getting an error message. Hopefully it is working seem to be a good app if it works!

It copies all files to the right places and adds a shortcut to your start menu.
You must sellect "Storage Card" when the cab runs.

Hi Found that if you don't install it in the exact place specified it only shows one or two options re install using the cab

Thanks for making a cab. It's quite picky at this point about where it's installed, so this really helps.
The app only really makes sense if it's installed on the memory card. That way it can survive the main machine getting wiped out.

I stopped getting an error when i unchecked (OneNote Mobile Docs/Prefs).

I think I know what's wrong. I can reproduce a crash if the destination folders aren't present. I'm in the middle of testing a few other fixes and will try to update it this afternoon.

Found another bug where it'll only install cabs ending in lowercase '.cab'.
I've got it fixed, but have another issue I'm working out before I update the package.

It's a way to have many users share one terminal server. Businesses use it to save on IT costs. I use it to remote control into a computer at work and fix people's problems. It's a pain to setup over and over, about 20 settings I like.

No call hist and calendar

Hi,
I don't know how to remove call hist and calendar on my home tab screen.

I can remove only dotted lines and small arrow (No Dotted Lines Home.cab). other cab files no working, thisame situation with manila. I replaced the original but not effect.

Steps:
1- Download megaupload file rar
2- Backup for those manila files
3- Turn off tf3d
4- Copy new manila files in /windows
5- Turn on tf3d
6- Enjoy your new homescreen

If you have the first one use the file that you find in "1c684cd8_manila v1.zip"
also the other one. This file remove also the little watch that appear when you slide up in the home.
This is like the result (you will see the time and date upper the watch).

i've been waiting for a manilla edit like this since nov.
the call history links have been removed. but i can't set a wallpaper for the homepage. been through the settings and selected a picture but it always comes up plain black.
just checking the HKEY_CURRENT_USER/desktop/wallpaper values -- currently set to \windows\default.2bp - is this correct ?
using the stock ROM here - any suggestions. thanks!

question is do i need to change the wallpaper setting in the registry to point to a jpg in my wallpaper folder or is there anywhere else i can force the blackstone to change the wallpaper to a picture instead of plain black. other than via the touch flo wallpaper setting (which doesn't work)

btw u need HDwall application to get ur wallpaper in each tab..
plus i have taken many files from diamond to make it look like dis..

ah well. HDWall doesn't work on my default ROM.
any other solutions?

u can use mUn bg4allTabs but corner clock will not work with that

Hi, go in Windows folder and delete the file 1c684cd8_manila, it will replaced with the original one. Then copy it and post. I'll modify it.

layout is WAY better like the clock where it is with the date and alarm where you put them....BUT how do i get rid of the calendar icon??? still there(this time if i hit it it does take me to calendar instead of whiting out my screen)

When i try to copy the manila file to windows folder on the blackstone, i get a message saying that i have no permission to copy files to the folder. What should i do.?

I use this tab already almost month. Works it is delightful!
Installation order:
1. Just in case we do backup systems!
2. We go under this reference. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670116
3. We download and is installed the program. (There all is written that where to put, on what to press)
4. At you now should be to appear 2 new tab. But thus all huge and therefore not the working.
5. Now we download mine cab, and it is established. Necessarily softreset.
Work of the program it is discussed in corresponding theme Manila GPS Trecker http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670116
p.s. Personally I tab with "horizon" at myself have disconnected! Simply after its inclusion strange braking is felt... There can be it at me just! With a tracker while like problems did not arise. And so successful testing!

Why you can not establish?

exactly after installation there's nothing!

i guess you need to have CHT for the tab to appear...

Guys! Very carefully read a theme! There all is written as what to establish! That I have made, FIX, it it is necessary to establish it after already at you the program is established! To download it it is possible there in a theme!
1. Download and will instal the program http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670116
2. Be convinced that at you has appeared new tab!
3. Only after that download and establish mine cab!!!

2. Disable your "sense" by going to Start> Settings > Today and disable Manila

4. after that install Gabbana cab "GPS_Trecker_tab_HVGA.cab"
5. "soft reset".
That worked for me.

It took me a while too..
Try this:
1. uninstall all the cabs related to this program.
2. perform a soft reset.
3. start again from the beginning exactly as instructed.
hope this will work..

How to uninstall this?
Does anyone know how to uninstall it? First i unistalled the gps_trecker cab but the B&L group manila cab won't uninstall. Now htc sence won't start. Pleeez help
Edit: Almost solved. Didn't see the tutorial on how to unistall at first ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670116. But the satelite icon is still there, how do I remove it?

I had the same problem with uninstal - hard reset did the job. Fortunately it was possible to make PIMbackup first
