Thanks for making a cab. It's quite picky at this point about where it's installed, so this really helps.
The app only really makes sense if it's installed on the memory card. That way it can survive the main machine getting wiped out.

I think I know what's wrong. I can reproduce a crash if the destination folders aren't present. I'm in the middle of testing a few other fixes and will try to update it this afternoon.

Found another bug where it'll only install cabs ending in lowercase '.cab'.
I've got it fixed, but have another issue I'm working out before I update the package.

It's a way to have many users share one terminal server. Businesses use it to save on IT costs. I use it to remote control into a computer at work and fix people's problems. It's a pain to setup over and over, about 20 settings I like.

technically there is an "of the people" at the beginning of that quote but i dont think that would fit do you lol.
I've never played round at being a chef yet. Is it hard? is it just a matter of selecting what you want and dont want? or is it more technical than that?

i have been trying out this kitchen. quite nice.
however, i have a problem.
on first boot, volume slider works nicely.. but there is not task manager. I thought it needs a reboot..
after first reboot, task manger shows up in the right top corner and works fine.but, the volume slider gets unmapped.
out of the packages list.. i have chosen all bluetooth apps, java, task manager, volume control, keyboard, voice dial and command.
Any suggestions?

it's an old problem, try this 1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=175787&stc=1&d=1239616422 or 2. use volume installation by cab-file.
maybe a dumb question, but after I start the .cmd file, and the kitchen shows up, I have to specify the map where the packages are, then he keeps saying cannot find packages.sof
maybe it has something to do with Vista? also had problems with administrator rights before...

maybe in XP comp. mode it will work, i'll try...

U press at the diamondkitchen then press 1.
After that up in the cornor u will see Package_tools & Buildos. Press at buildos. Then Load rom. Choose package, and press go and close window after it's finished.
This is the new FREE music ID software from Samsung Omnia ported to be work on any PPC.
I have found another ported version on another forum, but there you have to use WIFI as the network. But I hope you don't have WIFI in the places where you wonna recognize a new song as in your car or club....
So I modded the software to use GPRS/3G network.
In addition on other version I found it installs to the main memory, but you can install my version on your SD/Internal Memory/Device as you wish.
This software is FAST, Looks cool and FREE compaired to the alternative available.
Install and find more by yourself. Read the README file after installation.

Error was when I prompted for Lyrics or Youtube... Anyone know how to fix that? Playing a sample worked though!
I fixed the data connection setting in the original installation package, you can get it here. No need to mess with registry or patches after install.

2. the whole 4.5MB software essentially installs under WINDOWS folder in others.
Because I like installing in one shot and each MB is precious for me, hope the others would feel the same way too.

Bottom line all I want to know, I will not get charged for using this correct? Free to download, yes. But charges on my bill are not.
As a reward for all of you for your tests of my ROM (over five thousand downloads ) I'm releasing the full kitchen for you to try out.
This kitchen is based on PlatformRebuilder from bepe and new interface from ervius. It incorporates the native AKU5 kernel, which has leaked from HTC's laboratories.
It's for smart guys - if you can't do anything with it, just flash one of the available ROMs. If you have some smart questions - don't hesitate to ask, but don't post generic questions about cooking! It's not the right topic for such questions...
I have one good advice for all of you:
as my ROMs a heavily modified, use "Load ROM" option and start from one of the predefined sets, don't start from the scratch! Later, when you get familiarized with my ideas of cooking - go on.
The same goes for adding new builds - DON'T do this at the beginning! There're 23017 and 23052 builds included, so you don't have to - and by just adding a new one you will most probably screw your ROM up!

I found the cab2oem
Once I do this to my SPB do I put it here...OEM\HERMES\COMMON ?
What about that error?
I only 'loaded' your ROM,clicked 'create ROM' and got that error.
I changed nothing at all.
There is a folder cecompr_LZX.dll but no file.
If I untick LZX compression I still get errors
I'm using WindowsXPx64 does this matter?

I cab2oem'd my SPB and placed the folder in "C:\Hermes.DarkVisions.v5.KITCHEN\OEM\HERMES\COMMON".
I then created my 1st ROM
SPB is in there but not 'active'.
I think maybe I should have placed somewhere else?

Can't remember, but isn't SpbHome being run from the StartUp folder? If so then make sure you have a proper initflashfiles.txt in your package. Check also the *.lnk file - if it leads to the \Windows\MobileShell.exe.
And as for the placement... while it's ok to put it there, all the additional and optional packages should be rather put in EXT folder (but beware, it has different structure!), because you can't deselect those from the OEM folder.
I tried so many times the spb mobile shell into oem or into ext and nothing... it dont works... simply this cab is one of those cabs that cant be set as EXT or OEM by a tool....
But maybe you can make it manually... ameet or -G- has wonderfull tutorials for this topic.
If I will have some spare time, I can do it for you... but don't know, when.
I've seen many people asking for a way to add the HTC eReader tab to their existing Manila, and while this is possible I think my solution here is even better. The eReader Manila tab is a memory hog, and offers little real function anyway -- plus it is Manila version dependent. Attached is a standalone cab for the HTC eReader application, which doesn't require the eReader Manila tab -- or Manila at all for that matter. There may be some other HTC dependencies which may not exist on your specific ROM, but this has been cooked into and working on my Titanium ROM for a little while now and also tested and working on MightyMike's "Impact" ROM for TP2.

I've uploaded it to my FTP, in addition to the attachment at Mobile Underground. My FTP is proven and fast too. I've also updated this to a newer version that's faster and includes more books.

It's native to WVGA, so some of the screen will be missing.
However, I did just throw together a VGA port, which hopefully should work.

'installation unsucessful' i've also tried cab splitter to get the files and transfer directly. it's registering as a corrupt file mate.

sorry, the file is too big to attach at this forum. what happens when you try to install, do you get an error? Do you have sdkcerts installed -- you might try that to relax the security settings in your rom.

I use this tab already almost month. Works it is delightful!
Installation order:
1. Just in case we do backup systems!
2. We go under this reference. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670116
3. We download and is installed the program. (There all is written that where to put, on what to press)
4. At you now should be to appear 2 new tab. But thus all huge and therefore not the working.
5. Now we download mine cab, and it is established. Necessarily softreset.

p.s. Personally I tab with "horizon" at myself have disconnected! Simply after its inclusion strange braking is felt... There can be it at me just! With a tracker while like problems did not arise. And so successful testing!

Why you can not establish?
I is not I install the CAB and it does not pass this ?!!!!!
Installed it, but after soft reset, no new tabs are appearing.
exactly after installation there's nothing!
i guess you need to have CHT for the tab to appear...

Guys! Very carefully read a theme! There all is written as what to establish! That I have made, FIX, it it is necessary to establish it after already at you the program is established! To download it it is possible there in a theme!
1. Download and will instal the program http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670116
2. Be convinced that at you has appeared new tab!
3. Only after that download and establish mine cab!!!

2. Disable your "sense" by going to Start> Settings > Today and disable Manila
3. click the start menu and go to "B&L Group" folder and activate B_L_Group_FixStartManila file.
4. after that install Gabbana cab "GPS_Trecker_tab_HVGA.cab"
5. "soft reset".
That worked for me.

It took me a while too..
Try this:
1. uninstall all the cabs related to this program.
2. perform a soft reset.
3. start again from the beginning exactly as instructed.
hope this will work..

How to uninstall this?
Does anyone know how to uninstall it? First i unistalled the gps_trecker cab but the B&L group manila cab won't uninstall. Now htc sence won't start. Pleeez help
Edit: Almost solved. Didn't see the tutorial on how to unistall at first ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670116. But the satelite icon is still there, how do I remove it?
I had the same problem with uninstal - hard reset did the job. Fortunately it was possible to make PIMbackup first
