I am a but of a novice so please bare with me.
I was mucking about trying to get the Flash Lite 3.1 working so I could watch streaming media on my touch HD in the process I have installed the incorrect version on Opera...think its only VGA.
I am looking for the original build version for the Touch HD, which is 2682 (as a cab) so I can get things back to how they were...can anyone advise?

this wont give you the zoomslider. for that you have to change the following registries
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Opera\Defaults]
"ZoomSliderEnabled"=dword:00000001
"ZoomSliderTimeout"=dword:000007d0
use total commander or a similar app to do this.

quite similar but u need to click a software to run it.
I was wondering if HTC going to change all to TouchFLo ROM even for non-Touch series....
IAW our resident experts, there is no way to include Touchflo (finger scrolling) via Cab files, only possible by a cooked ROM.
But if you want finger scrolling i have tried SPB plus 4 (commercial package not freeware, only enables finger in certain aplications) and Ftouchflo (look at Dev and Hacking subforum here at XDA DEV).

I´m very happy with ftouchflo. In order not launching it at every soft reset, i have included a lnk to it at start up folder, so it loads by itself.

copy downloaded file to any folder in your device.
In file explorer, tap on downloaded ftouchflo.cab file: that installs ftouchflo.
in order to start it, go to programs, and tap on the just created ftouchflo icon: now you have fingerscroll functionality.

I am unable to install FT touch cube softrwer on my HTC p 3400I.please suggest me,how i can install the above programme to my device...
Can someone please direct me to the TouchFlo and Cube downloads? I have searched and I have found the iCube but I want the same program that is on the Touch not the one that is mixed with iPhone.......I tried to download one before and couldn't get it to work right. try poorlyducks vista suit in development and hacking, then install the backup graphics. in a cab file so auto installs. works fine on mobile5 or 6
also try slithers c++ cube again easy install with full instructions and works fine on 5 or 6

I wouldn't suggest installing Touch FLO 3D if it isn't ROM. It will be very buggy. I think that the point of having a ROM with touch flo 3d is to prevent bugs. Having roms let the chef make sure that the Touch FLO customization works flawlessy on the phone.
I've used itje's Touch It ROM before and it was absolutely error free.
When I installed Touch FLO as a cab, it was a POS. ---> super slow, crashed, I even had to format my phone.
It works fine !

I was running Windows Mobile 6.1 and installed the TouchFLO 3D customisation pack and installed that, 45mb took 1 full hr to install but it was the best thing ever on my Xperia X1. you should install it, It's a matter of downloading it, copying it to your MicroSD Card on the phone and installing the .cab and thats it ! you got TouchFLO 3D working at its best !
I installed Windows 6.5 With TouchFLO 3D intergrated and the music player on TouchFLO 3D does not work ! so I don't know why but the .cab for Windows Mobile 6.1 was working much better.

Yes, I'd like to know how to install TF3D properly as a .cab file.
I've a Rogers branded X1a and I've tried installing that ULTRA/ULTIMATE TF3D and Panels configurator, but nothing happens. It just keeps saying "Loading..." and when I change orientations, all that appears is "Orientation Changed [Landscape/Portrait]"
i would like to say..
there isnt a .cab file that installs tf3d properly.even if it doesnt it the old tf3d.n it doesnt work so well.
THE BEST WAY TO GET A FAST PHONE A LONGER BATTERY LIFE AND TF3d is to flash a new rom
it looks difficult but actually its real easy
see the video tutorials by biovolt for this in the rom section

Discussing some problems with a Java-based navigation software that I use on my Touch HD, I was advised to update the JVM to Esmertec Jbed 20090217.5.1R2. Googling around, I have found separate versions for VGA, QVGA so I guess I need special version for HD's WVGA??? Worse enough, there are versions to install in main memory or SD card.
Could somebody clear this mess to all newbies? Which version (a link please ) should I go for?
Also, do I understand it right that it will go over a preinstalled version that comes with the HD, undeletable somewhere in ROM? Does it require any additional steps to make it work?

Hi, ive had my HTC Touch HD for like 14 months or so now, (since it was released)
and i CANNOT for the life in me work out the whole CAB, manila, etc thing... i'm generally quit tech minded and consider myself easy to adapt to this stuff... but i've been completely beat...
I just can't work it out..... i managed to brownload that TF3D program to open the files from within but im limited to certain themes with that program.... its in fact the 'Vista' theme that i love and want! but its a CAB and when i download it it downloads as just an 'Attatchment.php' file and i dont know what to do with it!
What am i missing... i've read everything there is to read on this forum... and im STILL totally lost.

let me give you a few definitions
*.CAB = an installer file, it can add items to the regisrty and install files to your device
Manila = the interface that was installed on your device when you got it, there are 3 versions:
Version 2.0, TouchFlo3d = the interface installed on 1st gen devices sucha as the diamond, raphael and blackstone
Version 2.1, TouchFlo3d2 = the interface installed on second gen devices such as the Rhodium and Topaz
Version 2.5, Sense 2.5 = the newst interface from htc, found on the HD2 (Leo, this is a 3rd gen device). HTC have also released for tp2 and diamond 2 users running stock
Resolutions
WVGA = 800X480, HD1, HD2, Pro3, Rhodium, Topaz, Kovsky (XperiaX1), x2
VGA = 640X480, diamond, kaiser, raphael
These are the 2 main rese's you will here about
Porting:
As the HD is a wvga device, chefs have copyed files from the HD2, so you have get ROMs with sense 2.5
Any more descriptions needed, post em here and i'll see what i can do

your attachment.php issue suggests your browser is simply not downloading the file, but rather the script that websites have to direct your browser to the file you want (something like that, im not a web guy). make sure you arent right clicking and saving as file/link when you download the file, but are left clicking on the download link. also, try changing browser.
but im pretty sure that the .php isnt the file you want in any form.
