[REQ] Program for CellID, signal strength, etc? - Touch HD Themes and Apps

Hi all,
I am looking for a program that does a similar job as CellTrack for Symbian?
Something that will show:
- signal strength
- Cell ID and name
- Network bearer
- Network name, etc.
Anyone know of any winmo apps that can show this info? Google doesn't seem to be helping much

Search for 'Fieldtest' here on xda-dev. Not exactly what you need, but give it a try and see for yourself.

Hellò to all,
I am looking for a software for my Jam to collect not only signal strenght but also information about CellId ,Local area code and Network id.
I need a software like Netmonitor for Nokia.
I was using on my old nokia 6600 a software fron A.Fisher in symbian that was able to collect this info and where i could edit to add information like description.
Is there something about?
thanks

it's not fully answers your request, but give it a try...

GSM P3Kit (Radio)
Description:
Do you have a Pocket PC Phone Edition(P3), such as O2 XDA, T-Mobile? Turn your XDA into a GSM/GPRS radio quality measurement tool with this cool P3Kit program.
It shows REALTIME Radio Signal Strength from your PDA screen. It is tested on O2 XDA, but should work on other similar platform like i-mate, T-Mobile etc.
Try Demo version from MobileGX. If IMSI, IMEI, MCC, MNC, RLP info sound remote to you, check out 3gPP website.

Operator Network Monitor

Hi - I'm looking for an application that will measure the strength of different cellphone operator networks in various locations.
Basically, I'm having trouble with a weak signal on Orange at home and would like some way to measure which network is going to give me the best coverage in my most common locations - home, work etc - and from there work out which would be best for me!
The various 'coverage maps' provided on the operator's websites are very pretty, but aren't detailed enough - Orange say coverage of my home location if excellent, for example. But it ain't!
I'm using an unlocked Blackstone, so presumably there's some way of convincing it to measure the strength of other networks.
Any help would be gratefully received!
I don't think you need a special app to do this... I can make my HD connect to a different network by going to the Settings Tab in TF3D, tapping Communications, going to Settings (Left-Soft-Key) --> Phone, switching to the Network Tab (third from the left) and changing "Network selection" from "automatic" to "manual". I'm presented a list of networks I can currently connect to and I can choose which one I want to use. By trying all available networks and comparing the reception bars you have, you could determine which network has the best coverage...
Fieldtest will give the signal strengths of up to six cells but IIRC it doesn't give the CellID for them so it wouldn't be easy to match the results to the operator (if indeed they are different operators rather than the current operator's ones that are 'local').
Hopefully someone will come in with a nice app that does what you require.

I have no idea what you are talking about...
Fieldtest is an application that was meant for HTC engineers rather than general release. It gives info about the radio activity.
Quick search, no idea if this one will work

Interesting, I didn't realise there was a version that would show the CellIDs.....now to work out how to make it display the cellIDs of the neighbours as it doesn't seem to be doing?
Armed with the CellID and location code ...is there an easy way to convert those to an operator and the actual site location?
To answer my own question (info from a friend so credit to him)
http://www.opencellid.org/
further to this I can add that the windows mobile client for opencellid (http://opencellclient.sourceforge.net/index.html) works on my Blackstone
Field test can be done by 2 methods:
1. on dialler type *#*#364#*#*
2. or use file attached

Hi mate, have you made any comparison between radio 1.14 and 1.16 ?

[Q] Network settings

Hi all developers! I have one question - have anyone information about where home network information placed? As I see radio settings is independent from ROM settings. Also I see that some settings placed in ROM, for example Call section's NBPCD and Assisted Dialing settings. Problem is that I use Incredible outside from U.S. and some programs wouldn't work fine because it have some limitations in US - for example new Skype work only in WiFi mode. Then I try to run it in 3G network it's write attention like "In the United States you can only make Skype calls over WiFi". Can we fix it?
P.S. changing NBPCD and Assisted Dialing settings give result only for call making process, not for global network settings.
P.P.S. I found one way - we can change file build.prop in ROM image (system/build.prop). There is two sections - ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric and ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha. I change it to my operator's default settings and bingo, I have stock Skype.apk, that work in 3G network. Next step is change stock's backup image. So, have anybody information about OS files, where this information placed?
Last update - simplest way for change build.prop at installed image is SDK's adb pull and adb push commands use. It's checked and really worked.

I thought I had read somewhere that verizon is letting Skype work over 3G. If I can find it again, I'll post it here.
Found a hacked APK over at DroidForums. I'll try to post the link.

Can't complete calls while using HSDPA

Sup guys, i'm facing issues using HSDPA on Gnex. I can't make a call go through if i'm using HSDPA and also I can't receive incoming calls when my phone is downloading something from Play Store (like app updates and so on). Do you know how i can get this fixed? Is it possible to do it? Maybe I could change radio and try to see what happens.
Thanks in advance...
I appreciate your help!

Yeah dude sounds flippin weird... which radio are u currently using?
- Google
It might be a limitation of your cellular provider?
Although it seems to be an odd issue...
Can you tell us what it says by following these steps:
Menu -> Settings -> About Phone ->
Baseband version
Then click on Status ->
Network
Signal strength
Mobile Network Type
Service state
Probably going to recommend that you flash a new radio firmware, but we'll see...
I'm using I9250XXLA2 radio in Brazil via Tim Mobile.
Network - 11
Signal Strength - -97dBm 7 asu
Mobile Network Type - HSDPA:9
Service State - In service
After trying to call a few times HSDPA turns off and the call go through... I don't know if there's something related to Tim or Brazilian Networks... Btw, thank you guys for your help!
